These woods are horrid. I bite my lip. It smells like blood. The trees have branches like a spider's leg. There was hardly any green. The trees were dripping black sap. The moss was thorny, too thorny.  It's cold here. It's really cold. My skin was freezing. My breath turned to ice when I blow out. It's frightful. It's terrifying. There were sounds screaming in the air. Sounds that weren't natural. They didn't belong to animals. I grip the lantern. It feels like a curse. Where did he go? Why would he go into these woods? 

"Second Master Lan, you just said he left." Jiang Cheng says.

He turns to us. He looks down.

"I already told you what had happened." Second Master Lan says.

"You told us what you saw, not what had happened." Jiang Cheng hisses.

He looks down and turns again.

"Jiang Cheng, please, we're all concerned." I say.

"If that idiot is still alive, I'm going to kill him." Jiang Cheng sighs. 

I hear water and rustling. I turn in a sudden. There's something going on up ahead. I hear someone moving. Too people. We all turn. My eyes light up. It's him! It has to be Wei Wuxian! I start running toward it. 

"Yanli!" Jiang Cheng yells.

"Lady Jiang!" Lan Zhan calls. 

"It's him!" Hurry up!" I call.
