The 1960s

In the 1960s Jimi Hendrix released psychedelic music. His music was known to be very influential. Psychedelic music is music that uses various recording effects and techniques such as echo, delay, and distortion. Stevie Wonders's first album "The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie" was released on Motown in 1962 when he was 12 years old. Marvin Gaye and Ray Charles are some other successful artists during this time. In 1960, The Shirelles had the first number one single by a girl group called, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". You can listen to that song ">here.
