“Wow, that’s… A Lot.” Jungkook sighs out as Jimin finishes summing what happened between the two quietly.

Jimin nods as he tugs on his gloves.

“Other than their history together. What’s running through your pretty head?”

Jimin looks up at Jungkook before looking back down at his hands.

“I don’t know actually. It’s all fuzzy.”

Jungkook hums in understanding as he rubs Jimin’s arm. His phone begins to ring and he quickly grabs it before answering.

“Hello?”

“Daddy! Where are you and Minmin?!”

Jungkook stands up and tells Jimin he’ll be right back before going outside to continue talking.

“Pup, you should be asleep.”

There’s a ruffling sound followed by Prince’s giggles.

“Stay in bed little boy.” Yong-sun scolded before speaking to Jungkook.

“I was calling to speak with you but your little boy took it from me. Anyway, are you busy?”

“Nah. Just waiting for some news about Jimin’s father.” Jungkook looked up to the dark sky with his hand in his pocket as the other held the phone up to his ear.

“Okay perfect, we were all talking-”

“Who’s we?”

“Well, your main people. Me, Joon, Lisa, Jennie-”

“Okay, okay, I get it. Continue.”

“We realized we’re sort of slacking in people in the mafia. The people that were either killed or left and then Jessica…”

“I get it.” Jungkook sighed.

“So we think we should find one more person.”

“It’s not as easy as you make it sound. I don’t exactly trust anyone right now.”

“Yeah yeah I know.”

Yong-sun sighed before continuing. “Maybe you can go on a search later? Everyone can talk to them and see if they trust them.”

Jungkook is quiet for a second before speaking.

“After the mission, we can see.” Jungkook confirms.

“Great! See you later tonight?”

“I don’t know actually. I don’t think he’ll want to stay but he’ll probably want to stay until he knows what happened to his dad.”

Yong-sun hums before saying her goodbyes and hanging up. He walks back into the hospital and sees Halo slowly walking towards the waiting room.

Jimin stood up immediately as Taehyung stood up with Liz a little later.

“Pa, what happened?” Liz asked as he and Jimin walked to their father.

The two alphas standing back knowing it’s a family matter.

“Your father, he, uh.” Halo struggles, Jimin cups his father's face.

“What happened, pa?”

Halo touched Jimin’s hands softly with his own.

“He had a heart attack.”

Liz’s knees grew weak before Jimin caught him and rubbed his side.

“Is he okay now?” Jimin asks.

Halo softly nods.

“He’s stable and will recover.”

“Do they know why it happened?”

“Yeah, they do.” Halo whispers.

“What happened?” Liz pushes.

“I think your father should tell you. They said he should wake up soon.”

Liz nodded before following Halo to the elevator to go to Leo’s hospital room.

They both noticed Jimin wasn’t following behind them.

“Minnie?” Liz called.

“Hmm?” Jimin looked up and smiled.

“You coming?”

“Oh, I’ll come later.” Jimin nods.

“Hmm, okay.” Liz frowns.

“Floor four and room 490.”

Jimin nods and thanks Halo as Liz and Halo walk away.

“Min, I’m gonna head home, okay?” Taehyung told the omega who thanked him for bringing Liz then hugging him goodbye.

It was just Jimin and Jungkook at the moment.

“Are you going to go?”

Jimin nods, not making eye contact with Jungkook. Jungkook walks in front of Jimin and lifts his chin to look at him with his thumb and index finger. He rubs his chin with his thumb.

“I don’t know why you and your father drifted but I’m sure it’s a good reason. I get that whatever it was makes it hard for you to see him right now, but I can see you’re still worried about him. Prepare yourself, then go.” Jungkook smiles.

Jimin pouts as he looks up to Jungkook before nodding and looking away.

“Thanks.”

“No problem.”

Jimin sighed before deciding to just get it over with. It wasn’t just he was being held back by what his father did but he hates hospitals. Too many things happen at them and most aren’t good.

He walks towards the elevator slowly, his hands slightly shaking as his pulse was a raging power in his ears. His heels were clacking against the tile floor, being heard in the quiet hospital. He immediately stops as he turns around and holds his hand out to Jungkook who rushes to it and grabs his hand.

“What’s wrong?” He asks.

“I don’t think I can go up alone.” Jimin sighed as Jungkook walked beside him to the elevator.

Jungkook placed Jimin’s hand on his forearm as he clicked the button with an arrow pointing up. Jimin watched as the red lined numbers flickered to a new. His hand gripped Jungkook’s arm as the elevator opened. Jungkook had to almost pull Jimin into the elevator. It was quiet the whole ride to the fourth floor. Jungkook was watching Jimin to see how he was reacting. The omega’s face read nothing as he looked straight on at the metal doors. As soon as they opened Jimin and Jungkook walked out and down the hall.

They walked through the halls filled with patients, nurses, and doctors. Nurses sitting at desks typing on computers, doctors going from room to room, and patients going to and from places. Jungkook read each number that they passed by before “409” came into view.

“Here.” Jungkook went to pry Jimin’s hand from his arm, Jimin’s head whipped to Jungkook’s hand and smacked it.

“What’re you doing?!” He whispered.

“I’m not going in there.” Jungkook whispers back with wide eyes.

“You’re my emotional support system!”

“Your dad doesn’t like me.” Jungkook whispers with a chuckle, slightly amused.

“I don’t give two flying fucks, you’re coming in here with me.”

“Jimin.” Jungkook quietly laughed.

“I’m damn serious.”

The door slides open. Jimin and Jungkook look at the door with wide eyes as they see Halo standing there.

“Are you two going to keep quietly bickering or come inside?” He smiled softly.

Jimin smiled as he walked in, pulling Jungkook in with him who immediately felt out of place.

Leo was laying in the bed quietly as the heart monitor beeped. His left hand was being held by Liz who was looking at him while rubbing his hand. Halo was sitting on the other side of Leo as he just looked at his husband sadly.

“Can I just stand back here?” Jungkook whispers as he nods to the back of the hospital room.

Jimin rolled his eyes. “Fine.”

Jungkook bows to Leo and Halo before going to the back of the room and keeping quiet. Jimin walked up to the foot of Leo’s hospital bed and gripped the plastic that sat in front of Leo.

“Jimin.” Leo spoke weakly with a small smile.

“What happened?” Jimin asked as his eyes slightly squinted and his lips turned into a thin line.

Leo exhales as he looks at his two sons before speaking.

“I have cancer.” He speaks slowly.

Liz’s world fell as he gripped Leo’s hand.

“W-what?” His eyes glossed over.

“What the hell are you talking about?” Jimin barked as he raised an eyebrow and turned his head slightly to the side, mouth in a scowl.

“There’s only allowed to be one sick person in this family and that’s me. What the hell do you mean you have cancer?” Jimin scoffed in disbelief.

“I went to the doctor a while ago and they told me I have cancer in my lungs. That’s what I wanted to tell you when I stopped by but instead of getting to the point, I started bullshitting.” Leo whispered as Jimin gripped the plastic railing.

Jimin didn’t know whether to scream and yell saying it’s all lies or fall down and sob. The information was too much. He was overwhelmed. But eventually it all came crashing down as tear after tear fell from his eyes. He didn’t even feel them. His shoulders shook as he looked away to the windows to the left. Bright lights of buildings coming into Jimin’s view.

“You aren’t allowed to do that, dad. I may still be so pissed at you for what you did but I still need you. Even just the idea of you because you brought me so far.” Jimin spoke as he felt sobs come up his throat.

Liz was already silently crying as he looked up at his brother who was speaking.

“Jimin, come here.” Leo called as he waved him over.

Halo stands up and walks to stand next to Liz. Jimin slowly walked to Leo’s side and took his hand.

“I’m not leaving you okay. It’s just stage one. I’ll get surgery done and if I’m careful it shouldn’t come back. But you know cancer is something you can just keep away. If it comes back, it comes back.” Leo shook Jimin’s hand in his with a small smile.

Jimin sniffled.

“Sweetheart, you cried and ruined your makeup. I’m sure you worked so hard on it too, I’m sorry.” Leo sees Jimin laugh slightly with a small smile.

“It’s not important.” Jimin shakes his head and he sniffles.

“I know you still have anger towards me and I totally get it. But if I can lessen it in anyway-”

“Dad.” Jimin called.

"It doesn't matter right now. Don't worry about it, okay? Yes, I'm very upset about it but right now, don't stress yourself about it."

Leo shook their intertwined hands with a smile.

"Okay."

Jungkook stood in the back, smiling to himself as he watched the interaction.
