Untitled Part 4

Next to Blow, a summoning circle enlarged, bringing an unexpected guest. Doing the same, it opened alongside Mart and Shicmon. within it, a brown octopus like demon erupted. It was incomplete because the monsters didn't have a mind of their own. They attacked recklessly without a specific target.

"What's that? A summoning circle...?" Ask Mart

"That's a summoning circle?" Blow asks Mart

"Huh? Yeah. I think so"

"But those are...No matter how much you look at them. They're demons right? Are there magicians who summon demons?"

"No...Well. Not that i know of."

"Blow!" Ren called from behind.

"Ms. Ren? Haven't you gone ahead of me?"

"I can't just leave you here by yourself! You don't even have a magic stone. But, what exactly is happening. I followed, thinking it'd be a fun mission." Ren scrambles her bag. "Here, Blow. It's a teleportation scroll. Let's get the hell out of here!"

"Huh? I cant. The mission is still-"

"You're leaving? With whose permission?" Shicmon calls. He attacks Blow again "You're staying."

Blow blocks Shicmon's attack. "Shicmon, you must have felt it too right?"

"The mana dissipating?"

"Yeah! Those demons as well. It couldn't have been your doing." Blow stops after guarding. "Something's very wrong. So...What's clear is that now isn't the time for us to be fighting."

"No matter what's going on here. I...Don't care." Shicmon commences another red blast at blow. But it didn't hit the target. Instead, Mart had stood in front of Blow and absorbed the blast.

"Stop now, Shic. Don't you know persistent men aren't attractive." Mart says. "With all the commotion, the tower's magicians are sure to come! Don't you know it'll just get annoying if we meet those annoying guys? So let's just-"

"Move it!" Shicmon yelled. "Even if it's you, I won't forgive anyone who gets in my way."

"Blow." Ren calls and rushes over to Blow while Shicmon was distracted. "

"Ms. Ren, behind you!" Blow called.

"Huh?" Ren turns and sees an octopus like demon not less than 5 inches away from her. "XXXX" Ren curses.

"Careful!" Lapis called and jabs the sword into the demon. "A-are you alright?" It was a useless move because the demon wasn't in anyway affected. It grabs Lapis and brings him before its series of eyes that were lined up horizontally.

"Master, should I help?" Rune asks.

"What do you think?!"

Blow calls out to Ren. "Ms. Ren! Are you okay?"

"Oh..yeah." Ren answered.

"Master, are you alright?" Rune was concerned, but Lapis was already taken in by Blow.

"Blow! Really. Just forget about the stupid mission." Ren says holding up the scroll. "I had a bad feeling this morning. Good thing I brought this."

"Like I though. Ms. Ren, please go on without me." Blow says

"What?! Are you seriously trying to take his pants off now?"

"No..Th-that's not it!" Blow was embarrassed as Lapis, and even Shicmon heard. "There are still demons left. There are also civilians too!"

"Ah..That? Don't worry about it. The tower will take care of all that. It's their specialty and..." Ren notices Lapis and Rune watching them. "As payment for earlier... " Ren says looking at Lapis

"Ye-yes!" Lapis answers quickly.

"How about leaving together? We can take up to four people with this teleportation scroll." Ren finished. "Ah,of course. If you don't want to..."

"N-No! We'll be grateful if you do!"

"But we have teleportation scrolls t-" Lapis forced a hand around Rune's mouth before she could finish.

Mart had been trying to keep Shicmon away from Blow. He forcefully coiled his hands under Shicmon's shoulder, preventing him from moving. "Hey,Shic! It's all your fault-"

Shicmon had jabbed Mart under his chin with enough force to knock him over.

"The place is where I want. The condition is who I touch." Ren began chanting.

"Hold on." Blow said to Lapis

"Okay.." Lapis obeyed.

"Really. So annoying." Shicmon approached the fleeing bunch. "Why are you running away? Where's the arrogance from before?"

"Ah, Black magician. There's a really scary person glaring at us over there." Lapis said.

"..Don't mind him. He must be having a staring contest with himself." Blow replied. Despite that, Blow was still worried. "Ms. Ren!" Blow said as Shicmon advanced forward.

"I have to concentrate, so don't talk to me." Ren answered back.

"You think i'll just let you go? You fucking Blackie." Shicmon Looked more electrifying. Once again, the building trembled, and under Shicmon's feet was another magic circle. It was meant for Blow, but it took out all the monsters that were in the way.

"Damn it. Again?" Mart choked out.

"Ms. Ren." Blow was alarmed.

"What I want is...Teleportation." Ren finished. At the same time, the building erupted with a massive combustion. It was a mix of red, yellow, and orange, burning nearby buildings along with it.

                                                                                                  .....

The restaurant was small, but Rood liked it. It limited the amount of people in. Rood sat at a small round table at the corner, with an article in his hand.

"Here is the drink you ordered!" Ben called, coming up to Rood. Ben was a kid with green hair and face covered freckles.

"Ben." Rood smiles.

"What's up with all this books. I haven't seen you around here, lately. Have you been studying?"

"Haha. You just found out." Rood says rubbing Ben's hair.

"My sister said immodest men aren't popular." Ben said smiling.

"You must be busy with all this customers here." Rood said, which was part of the reason he was at the corner.

"Not at all! You've heard to right. The black magicians accomplishments?"

Accomplishments? Rood thought.

"A really expensive stone came out at an auction house and there were bad magicians who tried to steal it. Then the black magician defeated the bad magicians and the rampaging red devil and protected the magic stone. Though afterwards, the red devil blew up the building out of anger! Isn't he so cool?" Ben raises his serving tray over his head.

Rood offered a fake chuckle. "Haha. Impossible."

"Why not? Of course there are other rumors too, but...I think this one is the real one because the black magician is really strong!"

"Really?"

"I hope my sister, like the Black magician, can become a strong magician." Ben puts the tray over his mouth. "She just got accepted into Helios!"

"By Helios,you mean...The school?"

"It's not just a school. Helios, she said, was a place only the special and amazing people could go."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I write to her whenever i want to see her! I've already written ten letters-" Ben was called urgently from the front. "Ah, i have to go now. Study well bro." With that, Ben left happily humming a song.

Rood walks among the crowd and studies the paper buried in his hands. It was the magic circle that had appeared in the auction house. Deep in thought, Rood panicked when the paper flew off his hands. It was pulled off into the air, and as short as Rood was, he couldn't do a thing but curse himself. Despite that, he chased the paper into an alley, where it fell before a group strangers. There were a maximum of four, and they didn't look friendly.

"Hm? What's this?" One of the stranger says, picking up the paper.

"What?" Another asks.

"There's a magic circle drawn on it." The stranger with the paper was now examining the paper. He then notices Rood and speaks. "What's up with that kid?"

"He's staring at us." Commences one of the others. "What's up,kid?"

"Are you lost?" The stranger said waiving the paper.

"No...Um. That paper is mine. Can...Can i have it back?"

"Oh this? Of course. Here, take it." He reached out his hand at Rood who was rather reluctant. Doing the same, Rood extended his right hand, trying to get in contact with the paper. At the last minute, the paper was redrawn and Rood was left grabbing nothing. "Now that i think about it. It's a waste to just return it. Since you drew something like this, Isn't it your dream to become a magician, kid?" He stops and snickers at the statement. "I know quite a lot about magicians. Want me to teach you?" Then with a serious face, he turns to Rood. "Of course, it won't be free."

Rood fell silent. And the bunch knew they had gotten to him.

"Why aren't you talking?"

"...Please give it back." Rood used the lightest of tone. It ticked the strangers to see Rood wasn't shaken and so they advanced with violence. Rood was grabbed by his shirt.

"Hey. You probably misunderstood something,but-"

"...go" Rood uttered.

"What?"

Rood puts on the most innocent of smiles. "Let go. You f*****"

That was enough to set off the stranger.

"You...crazy-" Before finishing, Rood grabs his hand and twists it so he fell to the ground. In return, Rood received a painful scream where he kept his hand intact, making sure he couldn't escape.

"You little...What are you doing! Get him you idiots!" The rest of the gang proceeded. As if handling four grown ups was a piece of cake, Rood lets go of the pained assailant and kicks him towards the pursuers. Swings from legs and hands were caught in an instant and Rood instantly sends them off.

"They should have just given it to me. It's all wrinkled." Rood whisperes to himself while picking up the paper and dusting it.

"Hey,you! You're not just a normal kid. But, you touched the wrong guy." The stranger's body emitted white sparks. Rood had seen and didn't like what was coming. Considering they were in the open, Rood couldn't use his powers. Now desperate, Rood resorted to running. It was the only alternative.

As he ran, explosions erupted from behind him. Rood was still on the chase. He jumped on a stair, making sure to leave enough gap between. He stops to discover what was a dead end. He was at a high altitude, aloft a building and beyond that was a concrete street.

"I'll murder you. You better not think about running away. Of course, there's nowhere for you to go but down." The pursuer said while grinning. He charged at Rood with tightened fist, ready to swing. But Rood jumps off the building and  narrowly misses the attack. He lands heavily on a carriage that was sturdy enough to hold that much pressure.
