CHAPTER NINE
What else is going to happen - will Jesus turn out to be Buddha?

"His legs, dude! Grab his fucking legs!" Gage hissed at me while the three of us uncomfortably held Emrys' unconscious body.
His entire presence may resemble an innocent lamb, but he weighted like a fucking bear. I was only hoping we will be able to get his heavy ass to the cell without anyone noticing.
"Atlas! I told you to get his legs! Canny, help me over here!" Gage scolded us, acting like a fucking psycho.
Since when is he the mother of the group?
"Stop ordering us around," my voice was hoarse and quiet, but loud enough for him to hear it. His head snapped towards me, while Canny helped him hold Emrys' upper body, and I could easily see annoyance on his face.
"I'm not the one you should blame," he replied with hatred, coldness in his voice sending shivers down my spine.
He sounded this psychopatic only when something really fucked up his day and I would be lying if I said that didn't happen often. His temper is shorter than Blue's dick.
"Neither am I," my eyes pierced through his. "I didn't give birth to his bipolar ass," I said although I knew very well he had a serious illness, but I just couldn't care. My head was so fucked up lately, I hadn't been able to think about anyone, but myself.
"Guys, we have a problem," Canny warned us and looked over my shoulder in panic. I glanced at the direction his eyes were pointed and I immediately regretted it. Blue was standing at the end of the hall, which led to the showers, and was talking to the guards.
Fuck, we were so damn lucky he didn't notice us yet. If he had, well, it wouldn't have ended good.
The three of us exchanged alarmed looks, obviously thinking of the same, most logical thing to do.
We got up and dragged Emrys' body to the closest doors we could find and it just happens to be a closet filled with janitor equipment. We quickly dumped him in there, closing the door before Blue could notice us.
There was one thing he hated more than delinquents - sneaky delinquents. Couple of years ago, four of us got drunk on one occasion, when we were still new here, and he almost lost his shit when he found us trashing his office. Butt naked.
Since then, we learned more about what we do and how we do it.
Also, I will have to make Gage apologize to Emrys for the shit we put him through today because I didn't have any intention on doing it myself.
I may have knocked him out, but it's his fault he went all Freddy Krueger on me. He should have known how to control his messed up personalities.
"Delinquents!" Blue greeted us and Canny flinched while his body stiffened. Gage and I exchanged looks, before saluting Blue. He eyed us up and down with cautioness and suspition, which was something I couldn't blame him for.
"Mr. White," Gage smirked, which made Blue shot him a warning glare. "Why are you so blue?"
I choked on a laughter and looked away, avoiding Blue's eyes. For some unknown reason, his look kept it impossible for me to keep any secrets. It was like when he looks at you, he shows you what will happen if you lie just with his eyes.
"I am not in a mood for your immature jokes," he looked down on us. He really did not look great - his blue eyes were swollen and his face sunken from the lack of sleep. His suit, which was usually straightened to perfection, had wrinkles and stains.
"What happened? Is there anything we can do to help?" Gage genuinely asked and even though his suggestion may seem innocent, the reasons behind it were not so pure.
Blue sighed and rubbed the bridge of his crooked nose. "You are too much of a trouble to help me with this," he rejected his offer, drifting away into a deep thought.
Three of us exchanged looks, before Gage cleared his throat. "We will be on our best behavior, sir," he insisted seriously.
Soon enough, I realized what his plan was - he is going to distract Blue so Canny and I could safetly transport Emrys' to his cell.
That sneaky bastard.
"I'm having trouble with my sons," he finally admitted and Gage's face instantly lit up.
If there is one thing you should know about Gage is that he has a long history with Blue's sons. One of them is a gang leader in which Gage's uncle participates and the other is a well-known detective who put him in here years ago.
Let's just say their relationship is complicated and I couldn't catch up with it even if I tried.
"Oh, you're talking about dear old friends of mine," Gage smirked and made Blue even more insecure about this 'mission', destroying every chance we had to succeed with our plan.
He straightened his back and towered over us, trying to regain his power once again. "Did I ask you anything, Evans?" he raised his voice, piercing a hole through every single one of us. "I will walk away and you will disappear before I count to three, got that?"
I kept my eyes focused at the floor, trying to avoid his threatening look. The three of us nodded and with that, he walked away before we could say anything else.
"What are we going to do about Emrys?" Canny whispered as quiet as he could when we were finally on a safe distance from Blue.
Gage sighed. "Let's find Jesus and Penny so we can think this through," he thought out loud. "Also, Atlas?" he asked.
I looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Hm?" I mumbled.
"This is your fucking fault," he said when he swung his fist towards my jaw. As the space closed between his fist and my already beaten face, I felt vigorous urge to curse at him, but I stopped myself from doing so.
I couldn't complain or blame him from losing his shit.
I definitely deserved that.

"Where is Emrys?" Brandy asked in confusion as soon as we walked to our smoking spot, where they patiently waited for us.
The day was beautiful - sun was setting on the horizon, painting the blue canvas in bright, vibrant shades. Although the air was chilly, it was nothing too unbearable, but it was sorta odd to feel this low temperature at the beginning of the Summer.
Guys and I exchanged looks before Gage cleared his throat, looking at me with annoyance and hatred.
Oh, fuck, I knew that look too well.
"Maybe Atlas would like to answer that question for you," he replied as tension grew bigger and intolerably suspensful.
I sighed and pulled out a cigarette, lighting it before I spoke.
"Blue found us so we had to hide him in a closet," I simply confessed, feeling ashamed and degraded for an unknown reason.
First things first, if you know me in a slightest, you are familiar with the fact that I don't actually have feelings. Any of them.
Second, when the fuck was the last time I felt remorseful? You guessed it right - never. When I decide to do certain things, I own them whether they turn out to be a mistake or not.
Therefore, what the hell is happening to me?
"Why the fuck did you do that for?" she scolded me with raised voice as she took a few steps forward. "And you two!" she snapped her enraged eyes to Gage and Canny, who awkwardly shifted in their spot.
"What about us?" Gage mumbled into his chin, looking at the ground.
This was truly a moment to remember. Gage was afraid and threatened by Brandy's sudden outburst and I had actual feelings.
What else is going to happen - will Jesus turn out to be Buddha?
I could already tell he shouldn't have asked that stupid question because it only pissed her off even more than necessary. She walked towards him umwith determination, standing a few inches from his face.
"Did you actually say that or are you fucking with me?" she asked him as Jesus laughed in entertainment.
That motherfucker just waited for me to fall into trouble with Brandy so he could steal her from me. He may seem innocent and a good person to most of you, but don't let his act fool you - he is the most fucked up person I've ever met and I have known Gage for years now.
"I think we all heard it loud and clear," Jesus replied instead of Gage, smirking at the amusing flow of the situation.
It took every atom of strength I had to prevent myself from choking him to death. I've never been this annoyed with him and I couldn't figure out why. It seemed that his simple presence irritated me to the point where I could rip his throat out and feel no guilt.
"Jesus, shut the fuck up," she told him off, without even looking at him. I laughed at him as he shot me a warning death glare.
What? He deserves pain and humiliation more than anyone present. I'll even count in Blue, that motherfucker is nothing compared to Jesus.
"I'm sorry, Pen- uh, Brandy," Gage apologized obediently, his voice rather small and soft compared to hers. "We'll go and pick him up right away," he added and she nodded in response.
"Let's go," I said and walked out the first out of us three. If I simply tried to explain why was I feeling the way I did, I think I would fail without any doubt.
Feelings are really an unexplored territory to me.
Like the moon.
Yeah, they 'landed' on it, but I don't believe a word government says. They are full of shit and only waste the air on Earth by being alive. Somebody should just kill them and take away our misery.
"What the fuck was that?" Canny whsipered behind me as he and Gage cautiously followed me to the place we've hidden Emrys.
"She is just new to this," I defeneded her before I could think something smarter to say.
Did that really just come out of my mouth? I do not care about her and she most definitely doesn't care about me. Therefore, I shouldn't have acted as if I was her fucking pleader.
"I think he wasn't talking about that, sweetie," Gage commented rudely, kicking garbage on the floor with his feet.
Although I wanted to laugh at him for caving in to a girl, I suppressed it because I knew what kind of reaction it would cause from him.
I would be lying on the floor before I could even stop it while being a victim to his brutal anger outburst.
"I have no idea what you mean," I simply replied and I was being 100% honest.
I had no fucking idea what was happening to me just as they didn't.
The only thing I hoped for was that I don't catch feelings for Brandy because if I do, it won't end well.
At least it didn't the last time I fell in love.
