It was quiet the clock rang telling sebastian it was now 2 in the morning he decided to check on Amalia to see how she was, he still had a million questions to ask her sebastian walked down the hall and stopped outside the former guest room which was now Amalia's room until she could get back home, he opened the door to see she was asleep sebastian said quietly to himself while watching her "I wonder why she acts so much like a human? And yet she is a demon why?"

Amalia turned to face Sebastian when she did Sebastian taught 'it's hard to believe she's mine, she looks nothing like a demon I wonder who her mother is?'

As Sebastian was watching Amalia sleep she started to toss and turn Sebastian said "I wonder what's wrong with her?" as Amalia turned to face Sebastian again for what was probably the 4th time she started to cry, Sebastian said "I wonder what's wrong with her?" Amalia was still crying and started to say something in her sleep sebastian walked over so he could hear what she was saying, he listened quietly the only thing that made a sound apart from Amalia was the clock ticking

Amalia was saying things like "no daddy help me I'm not strong enough, no daddy don't go I can do it I'm sorry, I can do it next time please don't leave me alone please" all while sobbing and griping her cat and sheets Sebastian was shocked and taught 'why is she saying that? I don't think I could ever be not want to help her, I wonder what she's dreaming about'

It was then Amalia sat bolt up and screamed her eyes wide open and showing her demon eyes she was looking around the room to see where she was, she was breathing heavily sebastian rushed over to her and tried to calm her it looked like she was having a panic attack, he sat by her and rubbed her back saying "don't worry your safe" over and over

As Sebastian was trying to calming Amalia down that the door opened it was the others still in there nightwear, ciel said with a yawn "what's going on sebastian?" mey rin said "is she ok?"

Luckily Amalia was turned towards the window so the others wouldn't see her eyes as far as mey rin and the others where to know Amalia was a normal human girl and not a demon just awakening, sebastian looked at them while still calming Amalia and said "it seems she's had a nightmare" mey rin said "oh the poor dear is she ok?"

Sebastian nodded and said "don't worry I'm sure she will be ok in a few minutes, why don't you three go back to bed as you won't be any use in the morning" finny said "are you sure?"

Ciel said "look just do as he said, sebastian will stay with her till she has calmed down, I'm sure being in an unfamiliar place and not knowing where your family is has her scared, and that's what's caused her to have a nightmare"

Mey rin and the others nodded and left but ciel remained once the others were out of sight ciel said "so what's going on with her?" sebastian said "I don't know master, I came to check on her and she just screamed" sebastian was still trying to calm Amalia down ciel said "ok then just make sure she's ok" and left

Sebastian was still rubbing Amalia's back saying "your ok don't worry" in a soothing voice with doing that it seems Amalia's eyes where back to normal, but she was still crying and saying "I'm sorry daddy, don't leave me all alone I can do it next time"

Sebastian waited for Amalia to stop crying it took about 30 minutes once Amalia had stopped crying Sebastian put his left hand under Amalia's chin and lifted her head up so she could look at him Sebastian then said in a calm voice "whatever is the matter, was it a nightmare?" Amalia stared at sebastian with red eyes from crying and nodded

Sebastian looked at her and said "can you tell me what happened in the dream" Amalia hugged her cat the dream still fresh in her mind but stayed quiet sebastian noticed and said "was it that bad you can't tell me about?"

Amalia shook her head and said "I do but" sebastian smiled at her and said "if you don't want to tell me now how about later on"

Amalia nodded Sebastian then said "good girl I have a question for you" Amalia looked at Sebastian he then said "how come you sleep, demons don't need sleep but yet you do"

Amalia said "I don't know but you always told me that when I get older I won't sleep as much since I'm awakening" Sebastian listened and taught 'with Amalia here I can at least learn how demon children act it will serve as good practice for the future'

It was then Sebastian felt something on his sleeve it was Amalia she was holding on to it Sebastian looked at her and smiled Sebastian then said "is there anything you want while you are awake?" Amalia nodded and said "a drink please"

Sebastian said "of course I will back in a moment" as Sebastian got up Amalia's grip tightened and said "don't go" Sebastian stopped he was shocked and said "would you like to come with me?"

Amalia nodded she was still shaken by the dream and being near her dad would help Sebastian picked Amalia up and carried her down the corridor to the kitchen he put the lamp on and said "now what would you like to drink?"

Amalia said "some hot chocolate please" sebastian said "of course one moment" and in a matter of minutes Amalia had a cup of hot chocolate in front of her sebastian then said "so can you tell me anything about the dream, and what had you so scared"

Amalia then said "in the dream I was being chased by a monster and I had to defeat it but I couldn't, you were watching I asked you to help me but you wouldn't help and said 'really now this should be easy' clicking your tongue and then turned away from me and started walking way" Amalia then started to cry saying "you then said 'I don't need a weakling daughter like you this should be an easy task for you, I'm very disappointed in you and you call yourself my daughter' and then disappeared as you were walking away I was saying I can do it please don't leave me"

Amalia was crying again sebastian walked over to her and put his arm around her and gave her his handkerchief to dry her eyes sebastian then said "it was only a dream and nothing more, now do you think I would ever do or say that to you" Amalia shook her head and said "no"

Sebastian said "there's your answer I'm sure I would always help you no matter how small or silly it seemed" Amalia looked at Sebastian her eyes even redder and said "really?" Sebastian nodded and said "have you ever known me to lie"

Amalia shook her head Sebastian said "there's your answer now do you want to see something nice" Amalia nodded Sebastian picked her up and said "have you finished your drink?" Amalia said "no" sebastian picked up the cup and Amalia drank it sebastian placed the cup down and took Amalia to his room and locked the door he then sat Amalia on the bed and said "what I'm going to show you is a secret you cannot tell anyone not even the master ok"

Amalia nodded sebastian smiled and said "good girl now close your eyes" Amalia did a few minutes later she felt something fluffy against her leg she jumped a little, it was then her cat ears popped out Amalia opened her eyes to see a cat by her legs it then went onto her lap and curled up, Amalia stroked its chin the cat purred and it seemed to calm her down more sebastian just stared he said "that answers what form she takes" he then sat by Amalia and started to play with her cat ears Amalia didn't mind she was used to it as sebastian always did it whenever they appeared

After an hour Amalia had fallen back asleep on sebastian's lap curled up like a cat sebastian chuckled her ears had disappeared sebastian said "well now she's a cat demon, I bet I will have some fun with her when she's in her animal from" sebastian lifted Amalia off his knee and placed the cat back in his wardrobe and went back over to Amalia and put her under the sheets Amalia suddenly said "daddy I love you"

Sebastian was shocked and lay on the bed with her sitting up and placed her head on his chest and said "it seems things will be more interesting for the time being" he closed his eyes and placed his head by Amalia
