sebastian entered the study to still see ciel and phoenix playing chess it seemed that nothing could stop these two, sebastian said "master" ciel looked up and said "sebastian, is there something you want?" sebastian said "yes there is I have come to let you I have found out what's wrong with Amalia"

Well as soon as phoenix heard that he said "what's wrong with her?" Sebastian said "it seems that she is anaemic" ciel said "what anaemic? if that's all she's shouldn't be like that at all" sebastian said "no master this is not a normal case, it seems that she is quickly awakening her abilities as a demon, it is very rare that a child her age in demon years Amalia is still a baby just discovering what abilities she has and learning how to control them, ready for when she is old enough to form a contract with a human"

ciel said "so what does it all mean?" sebastian said "well according to this book it is a very rare case but in very young demons who will become extremely powerful they develop very quickly, and it seems that Amalia is one of those children even though she is just a baby she is already developing at the rate for a demon who is an adolescent" ciel said "so from what you've told us so far according to that book Amalia is going to become an exceptionally powerful demon when she is older, and that she is developing quicker that she should is that correct"

sebastian said "yes that's the short version of it" phoenix said "so why is she anaemic then?" sebastian said "well it seems Amalia will need to have a soul in order to make her feel better" ciel said "what exactly to you mean sebastian?" sebastian said "in order to make Amalia better she will need to consume her first soul"

Ciel said "so how are we going to achieve that? you told me that she has no contract mark yet" sebastian nodded and said "yes when I asked her she said she didn't have one, and that I told her that she will have to wait until she is older before I would let her have a soul" ciel said "maybe her mark has appeared now?"

Sebastian said "yes that is a possibility, but I think that while she was under the effects of that powder she started to become anaemic" ciel said "so how come your not anaemic? Since you haven't had a soul for so long" Sebastian said "well master compared to Amalia who is a baby demon I am an adult demon, and adults can go for extremely long periods of time without consuming a soul"

ciel said "so how long can an adult demon last without a soul then as food?" sebastian said "well my lord it depends on the demon and how powerful they are, most can go for a few decades but in my case I can go for a few centuries before I starve and possibly get to how Amalia is now" ciel and phoenix where quiet they were amazed ciel knew sebastian was powerful but he didn't expect that

ciel said "so how long ago was it since you had your last soul before your contract with me?" sebastian said "about 10 years so no need to worry master" ciel said "ok, so how do we go about getting Amalia her first soul then since she is so week, I doubt she can go and find someone and make a contract and fulfil their wish in a short period of time, you also said she is a baby demon" sebastian nodded and said "you are correct my lord but there is a way for her to have a soul without forming a contract since she is so young" ciel said "really, so what do we have to do then?"

sebastian said "well according to the book Amalia is still too young to form a contract of her own without me being there, but nothing stops a more powerful demon from forming one and then giving her that soul once the contract if fulfilled" ciel said "ok but you have your contract with me, so what are we going to do it's not like you can form more than one contract, can you?"

Sebastian said "normally no but in certain cases like now, I am permitted to form a temporary contract with another human in order to give Amalia there soul" ciel said "ok but who can we use?" sebastian said "that's not a problem my lord there is already someone who would be perfect for Amalia"

ciel said "so who is it then?" sebastian said "it's a young woman who's wish is to just die" ciel said "there has to be some catch to her wish" sebastian said "no my lord all she wants to do is die and be at peace so shall I go and take her soul"

ciel said "this is an order sebastian get Amalia a soul" sebastian said "very well my lord I will be back soon" after sebastian had gone ciel and phoenix went to Amalia's room to see how she was doing they entered and she was sleeping phoenix said "is it me or does she look more pail?" ciel looked and said "I think your right, I just hope sebastian gets back quickly for her sake" phoenix nodded and said "he is her dad, he wouldn't let anything happen to her" phoenix then placed his hand on Amalia's

ciel said "you love her don't you?" phoenix blushed and nodded and said "but she doesn't love me, but I'm just happy to see her happy even if it's with another boy" ciel said "well at least you will always be friends" it was then Amalia opened her eyes and phoenix quickly moved his hand Amalia rubbed her eyes so she could see who was in the room

Amalia said "hey there, why are you here?" phoenix said "well me and ciel wanted to see how you were, feeling any better?" Amalia nodded and said "yeah but I feel sleepy all the time and week like I have no energy, where's my dad?" ciel said "it seems sebastian has figured out what's wrong with you, so he's getting what will make you better" Amalia nodded and said "he must have found it in that book he had"

It was then Amalia went to sit up but went to fall head first onto the floor luckily ciel and phoenix caught her and helped her back into bed ciel said "are you ok Amalia?" Amalia opened her eyes said "did I black out? all I did was go to sit up" phoenix said "yeah but you should have told us we would have helped, I'm sure your dad will be back any minute I'm sure your tired why don't you get some sleep"

Amalia nodded and said "ok I'm sorry" and then in a matter of seconds she was asleep ciel said "she is really like sebastian but it seems she's getting worse, sebastian better hurry up" after that phoenix and ciel left Amalia to get some sleep as they were walking down the corridor mey rin came up to them

mey rin said "is miss Amalia ok now master, it's just I heard she collapsed yesterday at lunch" ciel nodded and said "yes it seems she's anaemic so sebastian is out getting her some medicine, once she's taken it she will be fine so all she needs at the moment is sleep" mey rin said "oh dear I hope she gets better soon"

ciel nodded ciel and phoenix continued walking back to ciel study and when they entered they returned to their chess match phoenix said "your staff are nothing like I was told" ciel said "what do you mean?" phoenix said "well Amalia would tell me stories about the time her dad worked here and what they were like, I also remember her dad telling us both about the time my dad worked here as a butler under your aunt madam red" ciel nodded and said "honestly your father was more of a hindrance than a help, he made those three seem normal"

phoenix nodded and said "is he just as bad here?" ciel said "you have no idea, but I'm sure you have it worse with him being your father" phoenix nodded and said "yeah with the cross dressing and insisting I call him mum he still can't cook or clean so I have to do it all, but other than that I know he loved me even if he has a wired way of showing it"

the clock struck 4 ciel said "sebastian should be back by now, I know he likes to stay on schedule and its almost dinner time" just as ciel said that sebastian entered the room ciel said "cutting it close aren't you?" sebastian said "I apologise my lord how has she been?" phoenix said "she's just slept, but when we went to see her she looked more pale and she blacked out when trying to sit up and nearly fell out of bed " sebastian said "really I'm glad I got back now any longer and she might have gotten much worse"

ciel said "so where's the soul?" sebastian said "don't worry master I'm going to give it to her now" ciel said "fine" phoenix and ciel both followed sebastian to Amalia's room and entered ciel said "it looks like she's still asleep"

sebastian said "no I don't think she's asleep master" sebastian then went over to Amalia and said "Amalia you need to wake up" but Amalia didn't sebastian checked she was still breathing, sebastian said "it seems she's gone into a deep sleep much like what you humans call a coma, it's a good job I'm here now any longer would have been fatal her life might have been in great danger" ciel then said "so how do you give her the soul then?"

sebastian said "that its very simple master mouth to mouth" ciel said "what like birds do with their chicks?" sebastian said "no master I place the soul in my mouth and pass it to Amalia like that" ciel said "oh like when you give the kiss of life to someone who is drowning" sebastian said "yes that's the simplest way of putting it"

once that was said sebastian placed his mouth over Amalia's a few seconds later sebastian pulled away sebastian then sat on the bed with Amalia her head resting on his chest he also had hold of her hand ciel said "so that's it then?" sebastian said "yes master all we can do now is wait for it to take effect and hope that I wasn't too late"
