It was almost midnight before ciel returned to his manor it seemed that Sebastian's battle with the fallen angel rosier had lasted longer than expected, when they got back to the manor the others were waiting for ciel and Sebastian it was then Sebastian said "why are you here? Mey rin shouldn't you be with her?" mey rin said "well I taught that you and the master would want to be alone with her, so I came down here"

Ciel said "very well but I will see her in the morning and let her rest for the night, how has she been?" mey rin said "she's been getting worse, but it seems she's been asleep most of the time" Sebastian nodded and said "very well then I will check on her in the morning now you three may go"

after that ciel went to his study and once they were in he placed the bottle on the his desk and looked at ciel said "sebastian can you tell what was in the powder that made Amalia sick from this?" sebastian picked up the bottle and said "I'm afraid not without knowing exactly what herbs or other ingredients where used to make this" ciel nodded and said "well whatever was used was strong enough to bring a demon down"

sebastian nodded and said "yes and that's what worries me it would take effect after an hour on a human and a day for an awakening demon" ciel nodded and said "yes but now I think I would like to go to bed" ciel yawned and then said "and first thing in the morning we can give her this" sebastian nodded and said "very well master" and got ciel ready for bed

the next day ciel and sebastian went to Amalia's room and entered what they saw left them speechless, phoenix was asleep in his chair leaning on the bed holding Amalia's hand ciel said "who the hell is he?" sebastian said "I don't know master, but he looks familiar don't you think" ciel nodded and said "yes I know what you mean, but it seems he's been looking after Amalia, maybe he's the friend she told us about" sebastian said "yes that is a possibility"

As ciel and Sebastian where talking phoenix woke up he looked over to see Sebastian and ciel standing there talking to each other luckily they didn't notice he was awake phoenix taught 'oh no I must have fallen asleep, but I'm as good as dead now'

it was then Amalia opened her eyes and saw phoenix laying there awake and smiled it was then sebastian walked over and said "so your awake kitten" Amalia nodded looked at phoenix and said "good morning" phoenix sat up and stayed quiet Sebastian said "so Amalia, can you tell us who this boy is?" trying not to let his anger show Amalia said "this is the friend I told you about, he looked after me yesterday to give mey rin a break" sebastian smiled and said "oh really" and looked at phoenix

Phoenix knew the look Sebastian had on his face and said "h-hello Mr Michaelis I'm Amalia's friend phoenix" sebastian said "have I seen you somewhere before?" phoenix said "well not yet"

Sebastian said "it's just you look like someone I know, but who?" ciel said "anyway Amalia how do you feel today?" Amalia said "my body hurts all over and my stomach hurts again and now I'm starting seeing two of everything, now the rooms spinning I don't feel to good" as soon as she said that she went into a ball closed her eyes and cried

phoenix said "is she ok?" ciel said "she will be soon, sebastian give it to her" sebastian said "very well master" sebastian got Amalia a glass of water and mixed the powder in, sebastian then said "Amalia I want you to drink this, it will make you better" Amalia started to drink it and said "it tastes funny it's like that drink I don't want any more" sebastian said "I know but it will make you better"

once sebastian said that Amalia drank the rest of the drink after that sebastian checked Amalia's temperature ciel said "so how is she?" sebastian said still high" ciel said "maybe it will take a while to take effect, now phoenix was it I have a few questions for you" phoenix nodded and said "that's fine, what is that you want to know"

ciel said "let's go to my study so Amalia can get some rest" after a few minutes phoenix was sat in ciels study across from him ciel said "so you are Amalia's friend from home" phoenix nodded and said "yes I've known her since we were little" ciel said "ok so I take it you already know who her father is from the way you greeted sebastian before, and what she really is" phoenix nodded

Sebastian then said "so phoenix who is your father?" phoenix said "why do you ask?" ciel said "well it's just you look familiar to us, and we were wondering if we know your father here" phoenix nodded and said quietly "grell Sutcliff"

Ciels said "what was that, I didn't catch it" phoenix said "are you sure you want to know who my father is? people tell me all the time I look exactly like he did when he was younger especially my hair well the colour" ciel nodded and said "of course, because then if we should see him while you are here we can get a cover story for you as not to change the past more than what it already has"

Phoenix nodded and said "ok but I don't think Mr Michaelis will like my answer" ciel smiled and said "now I really want to know, to see sebastian's reaction" phoenix nodded and said "ok my father is grell sutcliff" sebastian just stared eyes wide

ciel said "the grim reaper grell" phoenix nodded ciel said "so, do you know how to get back home?" phoenix said "I don't I was hoping Amalia would know" ciel said "well we've found a way to get both of you home, so you are welcome to stay here until Amalia is better and then the two of you can return home" phoenix said "ok and thank you" sebastian just stared at phoenix after that phoenix left and returned to Amalia's room and sat watching her

Amalia woke up and said "hey, your still alive" phoenix smiled and said "yeah it seems your dad let me live, ciel is just like I've heard but he's also nice" Amalia nodded and said "yeah just be thankful you didn't meet Elizabeth" phoenix said "how do you feel now?"

Amalia said "a bit better" it was then Sebastian entered and said "your awake kitten" Amalia said "I just woke up, phoenix was keeping me company" Sebastian said "is that so, are you hungry?" Amalia said "no I feel like if I did I would be sick" sebastian said "that's not good I wonder if it's working, let's give it another hour to take effect" Amalia nodded once sebastian left phoenix said "why is your hair like that?"

Amalia said "like what?" phoenix got Amalia her mirror and showed her Amalia said "I don't know?" phoenix placed the mirror back on the dresser a few minutes later sebastian returned with some water for Amalia, when sebastian said "well let's check your temperature" as sebastian was checking Amalia's temperature she said "I'm sorry to have caused everyone trouble" sebastian smiled and said "it's no trouble, now it seems that you still have a high fever but it's not as high as before, so it should go down even more soon"

Amalia nodded and said "I feel warm and my stomach hurts" sebastian helped Amalia sit up and placed the bowl in front of her and she was sick once Amalia had been sick sebastian lay her back down and said "get some rest I'll be back later to see if it's taken effect" once sebastian had left phoenix said "was it me, or was your dad staring at me like he wanted to kill me?" Amalia smiled and said "well when he walked in this morning you were asleep leaning on the bed, and to him you probably looked suspicious"

phoenix blushed remembering that he was holding her hand and said "yeah your probably right, are your starting to feel better" Amalia nodded and said " a little, I wonder if there looking for us?" phoenix said "they probably are considering how long we've been here" a few minutes later ciel entered the room and said "oh Amalia your awake" Amalia nodded ciel said "that's good, phoenix don't worry sebastian won't harm you while your hear, but I can't say what will happen when you return home"

phoenix nodded and said "it felt like he wanted to kill me before" ciel said "well his daughter is sick, and a young boy is looking after her I can see why he wants to kill you" Amalia said "um ciel, what day is it?" ciel said "I think it will be the start of September the day after tomorrow, why do you ask?" Amalia said "well I just wondering, phoenix it seems it's been a few weeks maybe a month since I came here, I'm sure everyone's looking for us now"

Phoenix nodded and said "yeah but I only came here about a week ago, I followed you straight away to see where you were running to" ciel said "that's interesting, it seems that the time Amalia arrived here and you phoenix where different" it was then sebastian entered and said "master it seems lady elizabeth will be coming over tomorrow"

ciel said "what why?" sebastian said "I don't know you just received a letter from her" ciel said "very well, if she asks phoenix is Amalia's friend who found her at the ball the other night, he has come to take her home on her father's orders but since she is sick he is staying here until she is better" sebastian said "very well" ciel said "is that ok with you two?" Amalia nodded and said "yeah that's fine if she asks I had a bad flu and stomach bug right, and I'm only just getting over it" sebastian nodded and said "yes that's what we told mey rin and the others"

Amalia said "so how long was I sick anyway?" Sebastian said "well you collapsed the day after the ball, so I would say nearly a week" Amalia was shocked she didn't expect that answer Sebastian said "is something wrong?" Amalia said "no I just didn't expect I was sick for that long that's all"
