PTSD: "A disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event."
———
Your POV; 1st Person.
———

I lay in bed, trapped in my flashbacks, aka nightmares, of something that had happened in the past.

—In nightmare—

I'm sitting in a carriage, on my way to my aunt's house somewhere in London. And before you ask, yes, I am a noble.

I watch as the environment passes by through the window pretty quickly. Too quickly.

My driver is known for being reckless, but he was the only one available to take me to London on such short notice. Nobody ever has him as their driver just because of how dangerous he can be when you're riding in his carriage.

We are about to pass into London when...

—Reality—

Someone shook me awake, ripping me from my nightmare. Luckily, I hadn't gotten to the horrible part, but I was close.

The person who shook me awake was my maid, Berelyn. (Bear-eh-lin.) I call her Bee for short.

I rub my eyes, pushing the terrified sleep away from me.

"Good morning, Mistress. Sorry I had to wake you up, but you were sweating and shaking, so I just assumed you were getting close to the bad part..also because it's morning and, yeah. Heheh.." Berelyn rants, nervously chuckling, probably afraid that I'll be mad.

I sit up and laugh a bit, giving her a soft nudge on her shoulder, sending her a small, tired yet kind, smile.

"Don't worry about it. You did save me from reliving..that..part again. So thank you." I say gratefully, and she smiles sadly.

"You're welcome, Mistress." Bee replies.

"Anyway, what's on my schedule for today?" I ask her as she hands me my tea, and I'm sipping it carefully.

It's Earl Grey Tea. One of my favorites. Just like one of my partners, Ciel Phantomhive. Sure, he is significantly younger than me, but he is one of the top best people there are to have on your side. My business makes tea, and Ciel actually buys his tea from us. That's how we met after a long time and became business partners.

Plus it did help that our families were friends before we were born. Ciel had just kinda..disappeared after his parents' death.. That's the reason why I wasn't able to speak with him for a while. I'm just glad he's okay, for the most part.

I help him with toy ideas, and in exchange he helps me with new tea ideas or just making tea on occasion (which he always ends up taking a few boxes of earl grey tea and other teas home afterwards).

"Your morning is free, but you will have to go to the Phantomhive Manor to help Ciel Phantomhive with a case he's struggling with." Berelyn tells me, and I nearly choke on my tea, coughing a bit.

"Are you alright, Mistress?" Bee questions, looking concerned.

I nod and reply, "Perfectly fine, thanks. I'm just surprised. He doesn't normally need help that often."

"Well, he said in his letter that he needs your expert skills in problem solving." Bee explains, and I nod, recalling when Bee had given me the letter yesterday.

I must've forgotten all about that. Gosh, my memory sometimes, I swear.

"Ah, indeed. I remember now. Didn't he say that he has two other gentlemen coming as well to help?" I inquire and Bee nods.

"Yes, he did, but he never explained who they were."

"What time shall I need to be there by?"

"Around 3:45 pm, Mistress."

"Will do. We will leave at around 12:30 pm, then. Now, could you help me pick out a simple dress to wear?"

She nods excitedly, rushing to get a dress for me. I chuckle at her excitement. Berelyn's always had a thing for clothes. I get her new cloth sometimes so that she can sew in her free time, which she always loves and thanks me for about around one thousand times.

Bee picks out a simple yet elegant [short/long], FC dress with matching [flats/heels] to go with it. Oh, did I mention that Berelyn is also amazing at picking which outfits work the best for others? No? Well, I told you now.

I thank her and she helps put my bloody corset on.

{AN: It's not actually covered in blood or anything. That just meant "bloody corset" as a way to express your hatred for them. They are in italics to emphasize them. Sorry if there was any confusion there! :)}

Then Bee slips on my [flats/heels] after putting my stockings on. As she does this, I put on my FC gloves that reach my [wrist/elbow]. They are [fingerless/not fingerless] gloves, which is great for me. Totally my style.

Berelyn then escorts me downstairs into the dining room, seating me down at the very end of the long table. Why does it even need to be this long? It's not like I'll ever have so many guests at once.

The other servants bring in my breakfast and I thank them, digging in as they bow and wait for me to finish, chatting quietly amongst themselves.

Time to start this day.

*TIMESKIP-12:30 pm*

I am now in my carriage, being driven by my butler, Rowan, while Berelyn is sitting in here with me.

Ever since what had happen years ago...I have always had a fear of carriages. That's why someone is always in here with me. And only those I trust will be steering the carriage, otherwise I won't even step foot into it.

I'm not risking another accident.

Time for the three hour long ride there..

*TIMESKIP-3:30 pm, Ciel's Manor*

We have arrived at the Phantomhive Manor fifteen minutes early, if I'm correct.

Eh, it's never a bad thing to be early.

Rowan opens the carriage door and helps me out of this death trap that humans call carriages, and then he helps Bee out.

Once they're out and ready to go, I lead them up to the Manor, knocking on the door three times, notifying the servants and Ciel that I am here.

The door swings open and reveals Ciel's demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis.

How do I know he's a demon, you ask? Well, his eyes are a blood red and I had asked Ciel about it after I became curious a while back.

That's when Ciel challenged me to a game of chess, knowing I have potential in problem solving and stuff. Needless to say, I won the game. Ciel has never lost before, so that's a plus.

Not trying to brag or anything, but I'm excellent at solving mysteries. It's like a slice of pie for me. It's so simple, yet complicated at the same time.

Like, how do you even make pie? I don't know. It seems so simple, yet it's actually quite hard.

Okay, off topic again.

Sebastian nods to me and lets us all in. I nod back and we hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

We all look to the stairs and see Ciel Phantomhive himself. He smirks at me, and I smile back.

"Miss YN LN." He greets.

"Mister Ciel Phantomhive." I greet back.

"This way, if you will." Ciel states, motioning for me to follow him up the stairs.

"Of course. Rowan, help out the Phantomhive servants please. And Berelyn, come with us." I order and they nod.

Rowan helps Bard in the kitchen first, and Bee follows Ciel and I up the stairs with Sebastian trailing right beside her.

We make it Ciel's study and enter. Ciel sits in his chair behind his desk while I sit in front of him, our servants standing behind us. (Berelyn behind you and Sebastian behind Ciel.)

{AN: Btw, I never explained what Berelyn and Rowan looks like, so you can just imagine them yourself, okay? Okay, cool!}

"Alright, as you know, I'm having a bit of trouble with solving a certain part of this case the Queen has given me to solve." Ciel starts, and I nod.

"Yes. What is it that you need help solving?" I ask and he hands me a piece of paper with writing on it.

"This letter. I've tried everything I could think of. Could you give it a try?" He questions and I agree, reading the note to myself.

—Letter—

Hello, Guard Dog.

Glad you could join me.

You wanna play a game?

Let's see if you can decode this:

Bet you can't.

Give it a try.

There's a message for you inside. Decode it.

Farewell, Guard Dog.

PM

—End Of Letter—

{AN: I couldn't figure out how to make a confusing letter or poem, so I made it kinda simple. Sorry. XD}

I look back up to Ciel, completely confused on how he wasn't able to solve this.

"Well?" He asks impatiently.

"Well, I'm shocked you couldn't decode this, for starters." I tease and he glares, making me chuckle before I continue.

"Anyways, at the end, they meant that you have to be somewhere on the nineteenth of this month, as I assume it was sent to you a few weeks ago. Back to the beginning, they said that the time you need to be there is by 7:07. After they had signed with 'Anonymous,' below that said that you have to be there at 7:07 pm. And PM could also be their initials, but I doubt it. And all of those capital letters spell out the message, including where the event is taking place. The place is at Mukar Shred, an abandoned factory from many years ago. The message read: 'Help her. Can you do it?!' And that's all of it decoded. They had just used many letters to distract you from seeing the message behind it all." I explain to him, and both his and Sebastian's jaws are dropped in shock, even though they have both seen this before.

"You never cease to amaze me, Miss LN." Ciel compliments, snapping out of his surprise first and taking the note back as I hand it to him.

"Why thank you, Mister Phantomhive." I reply poshly, earning a tiny chuckle from Ciel.

Sebastian and Berelyn also laugh at my voice/statement.

*TIMESKIP-An hour and a half later, 5:00 pm*

Ciel and I are just having a quiet chat now. We have been conversing for the past hour and a half, just catching up and making small talk with one another.

That's when we heard a couple loud knocks on the door. Ciel and I both stand and exit his study.

I let Ciel lead the way down the stairs, as this is his home, and we walk downstairs.

We see two men standing in the doorway, Baldroy opening the door for them with Rowan and the other servants standing off to the side. Sebastian and Berelyn follow behind Ciel and myself.

The first man, who seems to be very excitable, has purple hair tied into a high pony tail and golden eyes. He has this goofy smile on his face.

As for the second man, he seems calm yet happy, complete opposite from this purple haired guy. He has long, white hair and gray eyes that can cut you like a weapon if he wanted.

This second man intrigues me the most. He's so...handsome. Like, prince-worthy handsome.

Argh! Enough of that! You don't even know the guy! Besides, I don't need a man. I can do this on my own...right?

The man with the purple hair spots Ciel first and immediately runs and tackles him into a hug, throwing them both onto the floor beside me on my right, making me jump a bit to my left to avoid them.

I hold back my snickers, and I can tell the white haired dude is too.

This will be very interesting..

*TIMESKIP-A while later*

So, I have learned the men's names. The purple haired guy is Soma Asman Kadar, but we call him Soma. And the white haired man's name is Agni. Suits him well, I'd say.

We all decided to finish the mission tomorrow, for we will need all the rest we can get.

That means...yup, bedtime. And you know what that means?

....

......

Nightmares.

How fun, right?

......

Note my sarcasm there.

I am laying in my bed, dreading sleep. I always wake up with almost no sleep, so there's barely any point.

I push those thoughts to the back of my mind and drift away into a deep slumber, pulling me back into my nightmares that try to suffocate me each and every night..

—In nightmare—

I'm back in the carriage once more, on my way to my aunt's house again, just like before.

I hurriedly look out the window again, seeing the world pass by quicker and quicker every second.

I try to shout at my reckless driver to slow down, but my voice won't seem to work. My mouth just bops up and down like a fish out of water. I can't do anything but watch in horror at what's about to happen. About what had happened in the past and keep reliving it each time I fall asleep.

I sometimes have control of what I'm doing, like, I can move and stuff, but my voice never works and the doors and windows never open.

And the other times I can't do anything. I see things the way I did that day the accident had all taken place.

I am sometimes so far deep into my slumber that I can physically feel slight pain from that day in the areas of where I had gotten hurt the worst. By that I mean when I wake up after that type of sleep, I feel an aching pain slightly where I was damaged the most by the accident.

Anyway, I can see my life flash before my eyes once again, seeing the familiar events recreate themselves. I stay sitting, knowing I can do nothing to stop it.

The carriage turns abruptly, making me slam into the wall on my right, opposite of the door I came in through. Now, the carriage falls over from the sharp turn and tumbles, breaking the glass and outer exterior of the carriage, and once we finally stop, pieces of the carriage above me break and crush me.

The pain floods to me again, but not nearly as bad as it was that day, and I know that I'll feel it in the morning when I wake.

That's when I blank out, travelling into the unknown world of unconsciousness...

—Reality—

I wake up the the Phantomhive guest room, my muscles aching from my dream, but it's faint.

Whenever this happens, the pain's usually faint, but enough to notice it.

I get up and hear a soft knock on my door, alerting me that Berelyn is here.

"Come in, Bee." I call out and the door pushes open, revealing Berelyn.

She smiles softly at me while entering, shutting the door behind her, before she sees my frightened and exhausted stature. Bee frowns and speed walks over to me, worried.

"...Was is that nightmare again?" Bee carefully asks, and I nod as a response.

She sighs and replies, "Come here."

Bee pulls me into a tight hug, which I gladly return. She's trying to comfort me about it.

And the thing is...my family had died from a carriage crash many years ago, already giving me a push in the direction of hating/being afraid of carriages. However, I don't usually have nightmares about that because I didn't experience it with them in that carriage.

Sure, it was horrific to lose them, but I didn't experience the crash itself.

The hug ends a few moments later and Bee helps me into my outfit for the day. It's a short, midnight blue-black dress that I can easily move in and be hidden in the nighttime all at once, the same color flats, a FC bracelet and earrings.

For our plan, everyone going will be wearing midnight blue-black outfits to blend in with the night. All of our accessories will be taken off before we leave. Meaning, my bracelet and earrings will be off later.

Time to get through today and wait for our plan to take hold...

*TIMESKIP-7:01 pm, Mukar Shred*

We are at the abandoned factory now, only minutes away from going inside the building.

The letter said to 'save her.' But who's the 'her?'

Just as I thought that, a hand clamps over my mouth and silently drags me away from the others, them not noticing my kidnapping. I try to make noise, but it's muffled by their hand, making my voice not loud enough for them to hear.

So I'm the her in the letter...

They must've followed behind us as we arrived...

That's the only way they would've seen us. I could barely see the others. I had to rely on their shadowy figures and the heat they are giving off as we came here.

How did we not notice someone following us..?!

As my thoughts begin to run wild, my vision start turning a deeper shade of black, meaning I'm passing out...

*TIMESKIP-A few minutes later, Agni's POV*

We have come to the abandoned factory a few minutes ago, and everybody is whispering silently, reviewing over the plan. Who is that 'her' that the letter was talking about..?

That's when I notice the presence of YN is gone..

Oh no...YN is the her.

I immediately speak up, "Guys!!"

They all turn their heads to me.

"What?" They ask in unison.

"YN's missing!! She's the her!! Someone took YN!!" I exclaim quietly, making everyone look around frantically, searching for YN.

Where could she be?!

And...who's the person behind this and took YN?!

Everyone is getting worried and nervous, even scared.

"Everybody calm down. We will find her. Maybe the person who wrote the letter took her while we weren't paying attention. All we can do right now is enter the building and hope she's there." Sebastian tells everyone, getting us in order.

Berelyn and Rowan are the only two who won't listen. They are YN's servants, after all.

"Hey." Ciel speaks to them.

They both look up at him, well, down.

"YN needs you right now. She needs all of us. That's why we need to be strong. We cannot break down. Not now. If we lose control now, she could be as good as gone. So pull it together and let's go inside, right?" Ciel rants, snapping them out of their trance and following orders.

We start the enter the building cautiously.

Please be okay, YN...I...

I think I love you...

*With You*

I wake up to find myself strapped to a chair in pitch black. Darkness. Of course.

That's typical.

A shadowy figure pops into my view right in front of me, causing me to flinch noticeably, but that's the only fear I show. I cannot let this person win.

They chuckle. Their voice is deep, telling me that they are indeed male. And their body structure gives it away.

"What do you want from me?!" I practically shout at him, demanding for an answer even though I already know why I'm here.

Maybe if I keep screaming, my friends will find us and take him down or something. I just need to keep him occupied with me.

"Oh, you know exactly what I want from you, dear. I want you to be the 'her' from my letter. You're tough, and everyone can see that. So, I was thinking, what if one of the toughest of them all are weak and captured? Break them down until they're nothing more than a weakling of a person. I chose you for that position." He explains, chuckling darkly.

"You're right. I already knew that. You're using me as bait, then?" I inquire.

He nods, replying, "Indeed. I'm going to break you until you can barely do anything. Make you lose your mind, maybe."

"Tch, just how do you think you can do that in such a short amount of time, huh?" I taunt him, knowing he cannot do that so easily with me in such a tiny sliver amount of time he has.

"You're absolutely correct. I can't break your mind that fast. But I can break you physically." He states, full of confidence.

"Who are you?" I ask him harshly, biting back using the colorful words just waiting to slip out of my mouth at him in an instant.

"Me? Oh, I am Baron Harmley. And you are?" Baron introduces, putting a hand out to gesture for me to introduce myself.

"Heh, as if I'll give you my name. I'm smarter than that." I snarl at him.

"True. You are very smart, Miss YN LN. And before you ask, yes, I know you, Ciel, and the others. Plus, I also know that you had given Ciel some help with my puzzle I gave him. I knew he couldn't do it on his own." Baron snickers.

I hold back my comment, knowing barking back will only make matters worse. I know when it's appropriate to speak and when it's not.

Ciel is smart. He's just not as skilled in the puzzle area as I am. That puzzle Baron gave him was one of the hardest to solve. It was an unfair advantage against Ciel. He's actually quite lucky he has me here to help him, being an expert in this area.

"Anyway, enough chit chat. Time to get to the torturing." He laughs evilly, taking out a metal pipe.

Let the torturing begin...

*TIMESKIP-20 minutes later, Agni's POV*

We've been searching for around twenty minutes now, and there's still no sign of YN or anybody else! Where could they be?

I hope YN's okay....I realized something as I began thinking as time went on of us looking for her.

I like YN...no, I love her.

I really hope she feels the same about me..

"GUYS! OVER HERE!" Berelyn and Rowan call out in unison, making my head sharply turn in their direction and run to them.

I make it there and see everybody else is already there. We are standing in front of a door with s light on inside. The light is seeping out from under the crack in the door and all around it.

"We heard talking in here, and some groans and a couple screams in agony. The screams sounded a lot like YN.." Rowan tells us, making my heart drop.

What's happening to her?! Are they..torturing her?!

"We need to get in there." I state urgently, resulting in everyone nodding.

"Now." Berelyn adds.

"Sebastian. On three, I order you to knock this door down, right off of its hinges." Ciel demands, and Sebastian nods, getting ready.

"Three." We chanted quietly so the people on the other side of the door won't hear us. Sebastian rolls his shoulders in preparation.

"Two." Sebastian puts his dominant foot in front of him, ready to ram into the door at any second.

"ONE!" We all yell, and Sebastian rams into the door at full speed, knocking the door down.

What we see surprises us...

*Your POV, two minutes ago*

I'm still strapped to this chair, being beaten to a pulp.

Suddenly, I get a burst of strength and energy and break the old ropes, shocking Baron immensely.

I hear small voices on the other side of the door. They're here.

Good.

I don't give Baron any time to react as I jump up, grabbing a crowbar that's lying on the floor and swinging it at Baron.

It hits his face and he stumbles, regaining his balance quickly as he tries to slam his pipe down at me, his arms up high in the air, ready to strike. And I'm ready to block it.

Just as he begins hurling the pipe down at my head, we hear a scream shouting, "ONE!"

The door breaks down from Sebastian's strength!

Baron, startled, jerks the pipe down faster at my head, making my hands dart up and hold my crowbar horizontally to block the pipe, resulting in us holding our weapons together, pushing against one another.

We ignore my friends' presence, continuing our fight. I can tell my friends are surprised though.

I think fast as kick Baron with my dominant leg, knocking him backwards.

He falls and Berelyn rushes to knock the pipe out of his hands and out of his reach, Sebastian and Rowan pinning Baron down to the ground.

The pain all floods back to me from being hit by both the pipe and Baron's fists, making me let go of the crowbar in my hands.

It falls to the ground with a clank!

My friends all turn to me, their faces paling as they see me stumble and fall backwards toward the ground.

My vision goes black as I see Agni catching me, them shouting my name as Rowan and Sebastian knock Baron out to take him to jail or whatever the Queen wants with him..

*TIMESKIP-A day later*

I wake with a cold sweat, trembling as silent tears stream down my face, along with the pain from the fight rushing back to me as I sat up too fast.

I had my nightmare again, but this time, it also showed me my family's death too. By that I mean it showed me my family in the hospital in the exact position I was in when I was watching over them all.

I saw my family nightmare first, but then came the original one. The one where I had crashed but survived.

My breathing is short, seeming like I'm panting, which I am. Trying to get a grip on reality.

That was reality though. My past reality.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and sharply look up, only to see Agni standing there with a worried look on his face.

"YN! Are you okay?! What's wrong?!" He exclaims, but I only cry harder.

He swiftly sits next to me and gives me a loving hug, which I automatically lean into. Agni helps me calm down enough to where I can explain what had happened to him.

"You have nightmares." Agni states in realization.

"Y-Yeah...this was the w-worst one y-yet.." I mutter to him, wiping my tears away with the back of my hand as well as the palm of it too.

He hugs me tighter, making me feel safe.

That's when Agni does something I never would've thought my crush would do...

He kisses me. On the lips.

I respond after a few moments of shock, gently pushing back into the kiss.

We pull away for air minutes later.

"Don't worry. I'll protect you." Agni whispers to me.

And I believe him.

Long story short, he helped my Nightmares go away.

Who knew one kiss would change everything?

———

-CastrarWolf

Guys! Who do you want me to do next out of these?

-Ciel Phantomhive
-Alois Trancy
-Claude Faustus
-Soma

Alright, so, I am going to do a Ciel one shot next, but after that which one of those four would you like?

Thanks!
