Inside the Phantomhive manor, Bard lies on the floor to check something under the floorboards. "Bloody hell! this wires done for" Bard says as he looks at a chewed-through wire. Meyrin and Finny are sat next to him with a sigh, "oh, not the rats again?" Meyrin asks Bard sat up rubbing his head. "This is gettin ridiculous, I mean I heard they'd been plaguin London, but I never expected them to be this far out of the city" as the three sat there thinking a little baby rat ran past and stood in front of them when the three saw them, they gasped.

Finny went to a statue bust standing in the corner and grabbed it "now I've got you!" he exclaimed throwing it at the rat, but he missed luckily for both Bard and Meyrin, as it landed right between them causing a big hole in the floor. All Meyrin and Bard could do was exclaim "noooo!" the little rat squeaked, but the statue landing caused the manor to shake a little, the outside of the manor showed a Chibi Finny in a speech bubble rubbing his head, saying "looks like it got away he he" it was then one of Bard appeared making a fist, looking angry "what are you laughing for? Are you tryin to kill us to you idjit!" he scolded Finny.

A Chibi Meyrin and Tanaka appeared in a speech bubble, Meyrin looked more relieved than anything not to have been crushed, and Tanaka was his usual self giving a "Ho Ho Ho" inside a games room they could hear the servants trying to catch the rat problem. "Look! there's another one!" Finny exclaimed running past "catch it!" Bard called out to him. Inside the games room 8 people and 2 butlers where stood, two at the pool table one sat eating sandwiches, another stood near him one sat on the other side with a woman on his lap, and lastly you and Ciel. You were sat next to him the chair large enough to have you both be seated on it. "Quite a commotion going on out there?" lord Randle turned his gaze from the door to you and Ciel. "It seems you're experiencing a rat problem as well?" he walked away so the next player could take his shot.

"Speaking of which, how long are you going to let the vermin run wild? Filthy monsters, someone ought to take care of them don't you think?" he added looking at you and Ciel again. Next was Lau to add his comment Ran Mao on his lap "and someone will, there just waiting for their opportune moment" "indeed, they prefer to settle things with one blow, will you pass on this turn to lord Phantomhive lady Midford?" you and Ciel were both wearing a red outfit today. 'Of course, it's the start of madam reds arc, ok how do I keep her alive at least ugh I need to talk to death later' you thought glancing at Joe who was standing by you. You of course were not playing pool, you left that to Ciel he had his pool cue across you as well as if to say no one is to touch you. He rested the back of his left hand on his chin "I'll pass, it's my policy not to shoot if I know that I will miss" you nodded "true Ciel also my policy unless it earns me a high investment, I won't entertain either after all low-risk high return is best, and I trust Ciel's judgement it has never been wrong" you had some of your drink Joe quietly chuckled at this.

"That's all very well but, when will you handle the problem?" Randle asked you both looking right at you. "Well, any time you like sir Randle, all you need to do is say the word, and myself or Ciel will gladly help you after all we know what we need to do right?" Ciel nodded "yes the rats will soon come looking for their forbidden cheese, and we hold the key to the storehouse" the blonde man at the table took his shot-making the white ball go in. "Even so, locating the nest and eliminating the vermin promises to be a tedious task" you nodded. "Yes, Ciel it is it takes alot of time energy, and resources if you want a job done properly like they say, in for a penny in for a pound you pay for quality, not quantity, so lord Randall?" you smiled sweetly "if you want a job done right, we will need a nice reward for catching them" "yes, you should concentrate on giving us a suitable reward"

Randall didn't like how you and Ciel were, "what vultures!" he exclaimed. Ciel glanced at him "sir Randle, I'd be careful what you say especially about my betrothed and smear my family name" "oh it's fine Ciel really, I can take it after all to be the next lady Phantomhive I have to have thick skin, if I let a few words like this get to me then I don't deserve that title, or my own" you leaned back having another sip of your drink. Ciel held his pool cue and said "very well" the blonde man spoke with an Italian accent "ha! you're in trouble now Randle, what next lord Phantomhive?"

Ciel stood up "it's time to put an end to this worthless game don't you think?" he walked to the table and stopped at Randle "how soon can you secure the payment?" Ciel asked "tonight, I'll have it by then" he sighed. You did feel a little for Randle, but he's a grown man he should know better than to pick a fight with two kids, Joe took your empty cup away Ciel sat on the edge of the pool table "I'll send a carriage for you later" he got in position to take his shot. "We can even prepare some light entertainment for you, does that sound good?" Ciel asked. "You pass your turn twice and now you're after them all in one go?!" the man-eating exclaimed, you giggled knowing Ciel "naturally" Ciel replied to him. "Careful, your greed will be your undoing" Randall commented "oh but I know Ciel will pocket them all, it's important to trust like I trust Ciel wouldn't take risks for no reason" Ciel chuckled and smirked. He took his shot and won as the last ball went into the pocket he said "am I undone?"

Soon the other guests had gone leaving just madam red, Lau and Ran Mao with you and Ciel you were in a drawing-room. "Your tea we have a special Darjeeling blend to offer from fortune and mason today" Ran Mao as usual was sat on Lau's lap, both had a cup "smells lovely" ran Mao took a sip of her tea "tea can be excellent when made well" Sebastian poured another cup. Behind him, Grell was admiring him 'now who's this? I've never seen her before, she was not in the anime or manga those eyes don't tell me!' you thought you looked at Joe, as he served your drink. "Later we will talk to death, an unknown person has appeared" you whispered to him. Joe nodded to say I will contact him later your focus was on this new character, she had black hair, glasses and reaper eyes she had a traditional maid uniform on. 'What's the connection? she came with madam red, is she part of jack the ripper too?' "(name)" you looked at Ciel "is everything alright?" he asked, and you nodded "yes I'm ok" you smiled at him.

"Grell!" madam red called out to him which made him snap out of his thoughts and look at her. "Ah, yes, my lady?" he replied standing to attention. 'So, Grell is still Grell here' you thought "learn something from Sebastian and Joe," she told him while having a sip of her tea. "Uh, yes...." he replied looking down. 'That girl I wonder is she as clumsy as Grell, or can do her job?' you wondered "she is a reaper, but as to why I don't know" Joe whispered to you, to which you nodded. "I mean just look at them!" she started to rub Sebastian's backside, which made him jump and almost throw the teapot and cup. "His physique! yours as well Joe you should quit the country job, and come work for me in the city" madam red had a blush on her face, you giggled at this. 'Well she likes Joe to' you thought, 'I'm glad I'm here, and not where Sebastian is' Joe thought. Ciel cleared his throat "madam red!" a Chibi version appeared in a speech bubble of her rubbing her head "oh sorry, I couldn't help it he looked like he needed a physical, just a doctors habit" she told him. 'If anyone I would rather (name), not you' Sebastian thought while glancing at you. Joe made a mental note on this, he glanced at Grell and wondered would he join this little race, so far, it's just Ciel and Sebastian he knew Bard was starting to fall, but not to the point he can add him to the betting list.

Ciel seemed to get a little annoyed, Lau placed his cup down standing up "so, do you believe the drug trafficker is one of your guests today?" you nodded. "It's the most likely scenario, Lau, why do you think we invited who we did? It's either they are the one or know who its best to have all bases covered" Ciel nodded. "Like (name) has said, perhaps" Ciel leaned back in his chair "why not leave the extermination to Lau?" madam red pointed out Lau then went behind yours and Ciel's chair. Joe watched him closely "a rat knows best where a rat's nest is" you nodded at madam reds statement. "True, but sometimes it's best to take unique ways to catch the rat, go about it the usual way they know go another way they won't suspect it" Ciel nodded agreeing with you.

"I'm but a tamed guinea pig, dedicated to my lord and lady if they instruct me not to act, I'm bound to do nothing" he had a hand on your head. Next minute you're in an awkward hug with madam red. 'So, I'm the one hugged this time, not Ciel' "watch it! you'd best keep your filthy paws off my darling niece!" she was breathing fire as she told Lau off. Ciel sighed you just let her hug you, Sebastian gave a small chuckle at you 'oh she is like a kitten, now if only that were myself and not madam red' he thought watching you. "You wound me, I would never paw at her, in her betrothed home" it was then she let you go making you fall which caused Sebastian to catch you. "Thank you" he smiled at you "are you saying you would if you were elsewhere? Careful, you're on thin ice now sir!" that seemed to make her breath fire more. You sighed and left with Ciel, Joe not far behind Sebastian looked at you and Ciel "master?" he called out, inside you could hear madam red and Lau arguing "you'd better be! I hope you understand how protective I am of my dear niece and nephew! id lay my own life down for them I'll..." Lau just laughed as you and Ciel walked out, "the rats are here" Ciel said. You nodded walking with him holding his arm, Joe saw some jealousy from Sebastian.
