A special chapter since today is December 14th England time and it's Ciel's birthday, everyone's favourite eyepatch-wearing demon contracting tsundere earl so enjoy, I plan on doing other birthday chapters it's just I don't know when for the others since well their birthdays are never said

It was coming up to ciels birthday and you were trying to work out what to get him, you wanted to get ciel something nice as ciel hadn't had a good time you banged your head against the table and heard "young mistress?" you turned your head to the side and saw sebastian he said "dear me you seem to be troubled, perhaps I can help?" you got up and said "I just can't think about what to get dad for his birthday, ugh" you banged your head against the table not hard enough to hurt but enough to make a dull thud

Sebastian said "I see, the master will like anything you get him perhaps you are over thinking it a little" you said "maybe, but answer me this sebastian what do you get the person who has everything" sebastian put his hand to his chin thinking and said "you are right young mistress that is a problem" you nodded and said "with me.....if dad doesn't know what to get me all he has to do is spend the day with me, even if we do nothing I'm happy doing that, could you find out what he wants or if there's anything he needs and let me know?"

Sebastian said "I see, young mistress you do know if your father orders it I cannot lie to him as to why I'm asking him those questions" you said "but I know you wouldn't get caught, I mean if you can't do that what kind of butler would you be" sebastian chuckled and said "not one hell of a butler" you nodded and said "exactly, so please" sebastian said "alright I will let you know a few days before the masters birthday" you nodded

The days passed it was torture for you, all you wanted to know was what to get your dad you thought 'ugh Sebastian how long does it take to get information? your good from what dad has said, ugh it never took you this long before from what I've heard dad say, though with dad he can be aloof' you wondered about and saw ciel he said "(name)" you went over he said "it's time for afternoon tea" you said "ok"

You sat in the salon with ciel as Sebastian served some tea, as you had tea you were thinking of what to get ciel or how to ask him without drawing attention to your purpose it was then you heard a smash, ciel sighed and said "why?" Sebastian said "I will see to that master, excuse me" you said "dad?" ciel rubbed his temples and said "I wish she wouldn't smash so many tea sets" you said "you mean mey rin?"

Ciel sighed and said "yes, she has become less clumsy but still it is ridiculous, the amount of tea sets I have to get sebastian to order" you had an idea you knew what you were going to get and also do for ciel, the next day you saw sebastian you went over and said "sebastian" he said "young mistress, I'm afraid I have yet to find out what you requested" you said "its ok, can you see if you can find me any tea sets that are very hard to break, almost indestructible and when you do get some pictures of them"

Sebastian was confused and said "very well young mistress, when do you want the information by?" you thought and said "by the 10th" sebastian said "of course young mistress" on the tenth sebastian showed you the information he had fount, you said "so there's no such thing as an indestructible tea set huh" sebastian said "no, but there are ones that are hard to break and will require a lot of strength to even put a slight crack in, like the kind finny has he would cause a crack but a simple drop wouldn't cause any damage"

You said "ok well it's as close as I'm going to get" you looked through the pictures and saw one set that caught your eye and said "Sebastian can you get this one, and also the best earl grey tea there is" Sebastian said "of course young mistress, I take this is for the masters birthday?" you nodded and said "yes I know you won't let him know"

The next day you wrote a list of what needed to be done to get everything ready for Ciel's birthday, you knew he didn't like birthday parties so you wanted to do something a little different you went to Sebastian who was in the kitchen he said "young mistress why are you in here?" you said "could you teach me how to make dads favourite sweets?"

Sebastian stopped what he was doing and said "may I ask why?" you said "for his birthday, I wanted to surprise him I know he loves sweets" Sebastian said "very well, but I it will be tomorrow the master will be busy all day with work" you said "alright thank you Sebastian" the next day once you had breakfast with ciel he went to his study and you went to the kitchen, bard saw and said "Sebastian why is the young mistress in here?"

Sebastian said "it does not concern you, bard now you are not to touch anything at all" he said "fine" and so your cooking lesson began Sebastian said "young mistress what would you like to make?" you said "is it possible to make a cake or sweet that has earl grey in it?" Sebastian said, "yes there is a tea cake that has it in, is there anything else?"

You said "dads favourite sweets?" sebastian said "the masters favourites" he thought and said "the master does not have a favourite per say, perhaps one that reflects the season that is easy to make say Christmas cookies" you nodded and said "alright well make them" sebastian would start you off by show you what to do you'd then take over and try, by the end of the day you'd gotten better you tried one of the cakes which has earl grey and said "too strong, ugh I can't find the right balance"

Sebastian said "young mistress if you wish I could" you stopped him and said "no, I want to work out the right balance for the cakes but all day and nothing" sebastian said "it is a process one that takes time" you said "but how much time though?" sebastian said "that I cannot answer, you only have a few days left young mistress" you said "if by the 9th I haven't found the right balance....then you can get the balance right then on the morning of dads birthday I'll come bake with you so there fresh, because sweets taste better fresh" sebastian said "yes they do"

Soon ciels birthday came and you were with sebastian you were having one more attempt at getting the balance right for ciels earl grey cakes it was a normal cake recipe, but you would add an amount of earl grey in you prayed that this time the balance was right it was your last attempt before you made the real thing, it had cooled you tried a piece and your eyes widened it was the right balance, you smiled sebastian said "it appears you have the right balance young mistress" you nodded and said "if after this attempt then you would have, thank you for all the help sebastian if you hadn't of wrote down the amount I put in each time then I don't know"

Sebastian said "it is my job to help you, now let's make the cakes and cookies ready for afternoon tea, what about your trial cake?" you said "like all the others bard, finny and mey rin can have them" sebastian said "very well, now let's begin" by 11 everything was in the oven you realised you hadn't wrapped ciels present you said "I haven't wrapped dad present!" sebastian said "I have already taken care of that young mistress, now go your father is calling you"

You hugged Sebastian and said "thank you, Sebastian without you helping me I wouldn't of been able to do all this, after lunch ill come back and help decorate them, can you cut the cookies and make some look like the phantomhive crest" Sebastian said "of course young mistress" you left and fount ciel he said "where have you been all day (name)?" you said "nowhere dad just keeping busy" ciel said "alright"

After lunch you went back to the kitchen you heard Sebastian say "no the master has said no parties" Finny said "but Sebastian it's his birthday" Sebastian sighed and said "the master is a grown man finny he does not need a birthday party, if it where the young mistress then yes as she is still young but no now back to work"

You went in sebastian said "honestly" you said "sebastian?" he said "young mistress the cakes and cookies are now cool enough to decorate, I have set everything up" you followed sebastian and helped you decorate you made one look like ciel sebastian said "my you are quite the artist young mistress, it looks just like the master even the permanent straight face" you giggled and said "I won't say" after you decorated one to look like sebastian, mey rin, bard and finny sebastian made one look like the crest he decorated the tea cakes

Soon sebastian checked the time and said "it is time for afternoon tea, why don't you go to the salon young mistress I will get the master his present is in there by your seat where he will not see it" you said "alright thank you sebastian" once you went sebastian got ciel, when ciel entered the salon he saw you already there you got the present and gave it to ciel he said "(name) what's this?" you said "your birthday present, sorry I didn't give it you early I had to get somethings together before I could" ciel gave you a smile and opened it and saw it was a dark blue and white tea set with gold detail on the blue ciel looked at it you said "that tea set is special"

(this is what Ciel's tea set looks like I could only find a teacup but to give you an idea instead of light blue it's a royal blue like his ring and eye so yeah imagine the tea set with this pattern image off google I can't remember what I typed to find this)

Ciel said "special how?" you said "because it will take a lot more than just mey rin dropping it to cause a crack" ciel looked at you to say, do you honestly think I will believe that, you said "I had sebastian find some tea sets that where indestructible, and this was the closest one he could find it would take someone of finny's strength to cause a crack, also I got you some of the best earl grey tea there is" ciel smiled he could tell you had but a lot of thought into your gift he said "thank you (name)" it was then sebastian returned and said "master it seems you are pleased with the young mistress gift"

Ciel said, "yes, where did you find this set?" Sebastian said "that is my secret, I just did as the young mistress asked would you like me to prepare some tea" ciel said "yes, and bring some sweets as well" Sebastian said "of course" he took the tea set and made some tea and took it out with the cakes and cookies that you made

You waited for ciel to try one of the cakes you held your breath waiting, ciel said "Sebastian is this earl grey?" Sebastian said "yes it is earl grey cake, why do you ask master?" ciel said "it's good" you smiled and thought 'he likes it' it was then ciel saw the cookie and said "is this meant to be a joke Sebastian?" you said "actually dad.....I decorated that one" ciel said "what!?" you said "and most of the cookies, except the ones that look like the family crest and the earl grey cakes"

Ciel said "I see.....what about this one?" you looked and said "no I didn't, I only decorated the others, sebastian did you do that?" sebastian said "yes I did it seems there was one left over, master are you enjoying todays sweets the Christmas cookies and earl grey tea cakes?" ciel said "yes there good especially the earl grey cake" you smiled ciel sad "(name), why are you smiling?" you said "well, I actually made the cakes and cookies sebastian helped me he showed me what to do and put them in the oven and everything, he made sure it was all ok but I mixed and put the ingredients in"

Sebastian said "yes, but the cakes where the young mistresses idea she made many, many trial ones to get the right balance, all this was her idea I just executed what she asked" you said "I know you don't like parties, but a tea party isn't exactly a party and I know you don't like your birthday much because of what happened to you when you were 10 dad so I wanted to give you something nice, because I know you've been working hard and up late working on something so"

Ciel put his cup down and said "thank you (name), I know you worry about me but I will be fine so don't worry and I much rather prefer this to a birthday party, also the best present I can have is to spend time with you any day no matter if it's my birthday or not, (name) to me you are the greatest gift that I was given one I will treasure and protect with my life you are irreplaceable and in valuable to me, remember your life is a gift your mother gave treasure it like I do you" you smiled and said "yes I will"
