One week later...

My ribs had slowly healed since we had escaped. Killian and I were leaving the hospital today which was a giant relief. I couldn't spend one more minute in this hospital.

I heard a knock on my door as I was changing into my regular clothes with slight difficulty.

"Just a minute!" I yelled.

I quickly finished dressing and limped over to the door.

Killian stood there smirking at me back in his regular clothes.

"Hello love. "

I giggled and gave him a quick pick on the cheek and walked back to the bed and finished getting my stuff together.

I couldn't help but laugh when Killian collapsed onto my bed face first.

He mumbled something inaudible into the sheets.

"What?" I said holding back a laugh.

He flipped over onto his back.

"I'm ready to go home and get out of this bloody place."

I laughed and laid down next to him.

"Me too. I hate this place."

We both sat there in comfortable silence until I got up and grabbed my stuff.

"Come on. The sooner you get up the sooner we can leave."

He shot out of the bed and ran to the door.

I giggled and followed him with a slight limp.

We checked out and finally left the building.

The drive to my house seemed to take forever. By the time we got there it was two in the afternoon.

Killian immediately sat on the couch and turned the TV to Friends. I put my stuff in my room and went back to the living room.

Kilian's stomach growled and he looked over at me with a pouty face.

"Im hungry Swan."

I laughed and stood up walking to the kitchen. I opened the freezer and pulled out a frozen pizza.

I looked back at my adorable boyfriend watching the TV and smiled to myself.

What would I do without him?

I made the pizza and brought him a plate.

"Here you go Killian."

He smiled like a child.

"Thank you love. Now come sit." He pulled me down onto his lap as I laughed.

We talked for what felt like hours and soon heard a knock on the door.

I jumped at the sudden noise and clung onto Killian. The last month's events had made me more jumpy then normal.

He soothed me and got up to answer the door. I followed behind him and he looked through the peep hole and then raised an eyebrow.

He opened the door with me hugging him tightly from behind and burying my head in his back.

Outside of the door was a slim women with dark hair and bright green eyes with a tall blonde haired man with blue eyes.

The women smiled and held out her hand for Killian and I.

"Hi! I'm Mary Margret! My boyfriend David and I just moved next door!" She said all in one breath with a smile on her face.

I smiled and shook her hand.

"I'm Emma and this is Killian."

Killian smiled and shook her hand.

"Pleasure to meet you."

The man next to her who I assumed was David held out his hand as well.

"I'm David."

I shook his hand as well and smiled again.

"Would you like to come in and have dinner?" I invited trying to be friendly.

Mary Margret beamed but shook her head.

"I'm afraid we can't tonight but I would be thrilled if you two wanted to come over to our place tomorrow night to get to know each other. Everyone else in this building is rather unfriendly. "

I laughed.

"Sure why not! What time?"

She smiled even wider if that was possible.

"Anytime around 6!"

I nodded.

"Ok. See you then. Nice to meet you!"

"You too!"

With that I closed the door and turned to Killian.

"Well she was rather perky wasn't she." Killian laughed.

"Yeah just a bit. But they seem nice."

He smiled.

"Aye they do. Perhaps David and I could become mates one day."

I laughed and went back to the couch.

"When are we gonna go back to work Killian? As much as I live spending all day with you, we need to make money."

He nodded.

"Aye, I will call Neal tonight and talk to him about starting back Wednesday so we still have two more days together."

I nodded.

"I think I'm gonna try to find a new job. My boss wasn't too happy about how much work I missed last time I talked to her."

"Perhaps I could get you a job in my company. I do own half of it. Neal couldn't do much to stop me."

I beamed.

"Really?"

"Of course!"

I tackled him onto the couch and laughed.

"I'm afraid I have to go back to my place now love. I need to call Neal and sort out our jobs."

I sighed.

"Are you sure you can't stay tonight? I'll miss you."

"I wish I could Swan, but I promise I'll call you tonight and I'll be back early tomorrow morning."

I frowned but nodded. We needed to spend some time apart I suppose.

"Alright. I understand. "

I pulled him in for a long kiss and slowly pulled away.

"Be careful. I love you."

"I love you too Swan. Sleep well."

I nodded even though I knew I wouldn't. I never slept well without him there to comfort me. Not after Walsh.

He grabbed his phone and left after one more kiss.

I sighed and collapsed on the couch and turned the TV on.

Around 11 I drifted off into a small sleep.

In dream...

I opened my eyes and looked around me. What I saw caused me to panic. I was back in the room. I heard screams. I rushed over to the glass wall and saw Killian on the ground bloody and weak.

Walsh was standing over him with a gun pointed at his head.

I pounded on the glass with all my might and Walsh looked over at me with a sick smile. I looked down at Killian and saw him mouthing one last "I love you" before Walsh pulled the trigger and everything was silent except for my screams as Killian's lifeless body suddenly appeared in my arms.

I sobbed hysterically as he slowly faded away leaving me alone.

I woke up with a start screaming and with tears streaming down my face.

Realizing he wasn't next to me I scrambled for my phone and clicked on his contact.

Ri-Hello?

I sighed.

It's me Killian.

Emma? Are you alright?

Yeah Killian I'm fine I just had a horrible dream and needed to make sure you were alright.

I'm coming over give me fifteen minutes.

Killian it's fine. Really. I'm fine now it was just a dream.

Emma I know you. Your upset and I'm coming over.

Ok.

I'll see you soon ok? I love you.

I love you too. Be careful.

I hung up and mentally thanked god that he knew me so well. And that he was coming over.

Before long I heard a knock at my door. I raced to the door to open it and jumped into his arms.

"Shhhh Emma it's ok. I'm right here."

I let out a quiet sob and held him even tighter.

"Don't leave me."

"I won't ever leave you Emma."

"Good because I don't know what I would do without you."

He carried me to the couch and sat down.

"Wanna tell me what happened?"

I slowly nodded.

"I was in Walsh's place again in that room and I heard a scream so I went over to the glass wall and you were laying there all beaten up and Walsh was above you with a gun and I tried pounding on the glass but all he did was smile at me and then he shot you and your body appeared in my arms before it disappeared. It was so real."

He brought me into a tight hug wiping my tears away with his thumbs as he pulled away and looked into my eyes.

"I promise nothing is going to happen to either of us "

I slowly calmed down as I fell asleep in his arms this time not having any more horrific dreams.
