​Day 100, 13 Days Since: "Nice of you to drop in." said the Emerald, Oh-so nonchalantly. None of the gems pulled out their weapons, but the Iolite and Citrine comforted each other. There were way too many gems to count, and I myself was getting lost, there was an Agate, a Citrine, an Iolite, and an Emerald. The Agate was a sight, she had multiple colors on her, which would be normal if she were a Beryl like me, that would just mean she's impure, but the thing is, is that Agate's don't have multiple colors like that, except for the really common ones, and just one glance at her and you can tell she wasn't a common Agate. The Iolite looked like she was a gypsy gem, which isn't an insult, it's just the way she was formed. The Citrine... was bright yellow, like all of them. The Emerald scared me. It's only been 13 days since...

My pocket pronged my chest, and I glanced in to see the remaining shards of Eta, I was holding back the tears. "Hey, hey, don't be afraid" said the Iolite in a somewhat foreign sounding accent. She didn't help. Then the Agate took my hand and hushed me to sleep.

Day 101, 14 Days Since: "Don't let me die in vain" I jolted up, hitting my head on a ceiling. It looked like I was on a small ship for maintenance. The Emerald was captaining it. She was copiloted by the Citrine, who wasn't really into talking a lot. The Iolite was decorating her bunk, it was garmented with beads and ribbons and scarves. The Agate was in the back, looking through a giant semispherical window. She seemed to have sensed my presence, and called out to me. "Beryllium" she spoke, in a smooth voice as calm as a slow river that barely waked. In the sense that her voice was beautiful and that she could put you to sleep with her lullaby speak. I mean, it sounds so ama- "Beryllium?" she spoke again.

"Yeah? Sorry, I'm sorry, it's just that your voice is so- "

"Calming? I get that a lot" she chuckled.

"Where are you taking me? Are you taking me back to the camp? Please, I don't want to be a slave aga-"

"We wouldn't do that to you."

"Huh?"

"We're on a mission, to tamper with one of the buildings, a sea spire."

"Oh" there was a long pause after that. "Why are you telling me this?".

"Because, you need to understand to fight for your kind, haven't you ever realized that all of your Beryllium brethren have been tortured constantly? That they get shattered if they step out of line- "

"YES I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAYS SHATTERED!" I shouted "Oh and uh yes, I have, and I hate it."

"... Then here's your chance, we'll tamper with the gravity on the Sea Spire, join us here at 13:30, okay Beryllium?"

"Yes, Agate, and please, call me Beryl."

"Will do, Beryl."

Day 101, 14 Days Since:

"Well, it's not that shocking to any of you that we have a new member, but she needs official recognition" said Emerald.

"Thank you" I said. "I'm Beryl, I was grown impure so that's why I'm so color- "

"No one asked." Barked the Citrine.

"Be nice, Citrine, I'm sure we all can relate to such harsh defects." Enlightened Agate.

"Anyways, can we please go over the plan? I want to keep on decorating my bunk!" spoke Iolite.

"Yeah..." said Emerald "Okay, at 22:41 Citrine will take over my spot and pilot The Diamond Destroyer, while Iolite sneaks in, since mostly Blue Diamond's Gems are in charge of this build. While she distracts, Agate will start unleashing Crystal Shrimp eggs into the infrastructure, and I'll dismantle the security for her..." she paused. "Do you know how to lower the amount of power going into a machine?" She inquired me.

"Uhhh, no, but I learned how to speak correctly, all grammatical rules, and can write an Essay within 30 minutes all in one day. So I would like to say that I'm a quick learner, so if you could teach me then I would be up fo- "

"I'll teach you" spoke up the Citrine.

"That would be very nice, when could we get started?"

"Well, we'll let you two get down to business, while we practice our procedures." Interrupted Emerald.

3 hours passed

"Okay, so now that you can successfully defuse a bomb, on to the tricky part." Stated Citrine.

"Whatever it is, I'm ready."

"Okay" she spoke. "You have to unscrew this panel, put this little gizmo up to it, and you're done."

"..."

"Hah, just kidding, now you have to enter in the serial number the box is" blah blah blah, I just made you feel like you wasted three hours of your time, I'm so funny, blah blah blah.

She didn't say the ending part, but that's how it felt. Ever so slightly though, I feel like she's warming up to me, and Vis Versa. We stay silent afterwards, though, but I enjoy the remaining hour watching Iolite get tangled up in all her beads and ribbons, but now, it's show time.

Everything goes according to plan, until I get there. Everyone does what they were supposed to do, on cue, and on action. I start to finish up my rewiring and-

"What are you doing here." I hear, I turn around to see a Lapis, walking towards me. Luckily, I just finished, and put the panel back on too. I was in between a rock and a hard place, more like the middle of the ocean, because she could control water. Guess what a Sea Spire is in? Water.

I was constantly swinging my axe at bubbles of water, which didn't do much other than stall. I back up against the gravity enhancer, and I realize what I can do. She takes her shot, which was dead on, she would've cracked my gem even more, but I rolled to the side, laughing, and then the Sea Spire shook. She caused none of the external force that the gravity enhancer had to get out that it ended up crumbling the entire thing. Unless I could have a say in it. I went to turn it off, but I was too late. I wanted her to fall, and buy me time, but she goes to fly away and... and... she jumps through the window, but keeps on falling. I don't know what to do. I killed a gem. I killed a gem. The impact rate she'll have will surely shatter her.

I jump

I jump down, into the water, but I narrow my body and become more aerodynamic and shoot towards her. I go slightly further down then her. I can see tears in her eyes.

"It's not your fault, why did you come down" she sniffled.

"I won't let you die in vain."
