I wake up with dried tear stains on my face. Hope Diamond is gone, at least the Hope Diamond I knew and loved. This can't be happening, I think. I slowly walk outside, trying to wrap my head around this. As I walk across the tall dried grass I see hope gazing at the horizon, her back facing me. She's so beautiful, but she looks unnatural and fake. I guess without memories it's hard to know what to do.

I turn around when I heard footsteps behind me. It's the Beryllium guy. I suddenly smile but I don't know why, I don't know anything. He sits next to me and I look at him. He smiles back, but I can see the sadness that shines in his eyes.

"Hi," I say.

"Hello; sorry for my memory loss, but I can't help it..."

"Hey, it's ok. You're alive and that's what matters."

"They're going to try to fix me today, they want to start as soon as possible, the multi colored one said."

"That's Agate." I say and smile, "Do you want to take a walk?"

"Yeah; that'd be nice."

A gem corruption, made entirely out of shattered diamonds whipped out its shapeshifting arms and pinned me to the ground. The shards cut into my arms and legs and pain danced in my eyes. The corruption screamed a series of wirrs and clicks.

"Diamond, get out of here. You shouldn't get damaged more,"

"But you need help!"

"No I don't," I lied, "I'll-I'll be fine,"

"Wait, what if we fuse?"

"What?" I say struggling in the monster's arms.

"We'll be stronger if we're fused, we just have to feel a strong emotion!" I grip Beryl's arms and think. Light consumes me and I feel myself melting and combining into, what was her name?-Bixbite.

All I can say is that the corruption wasn't expecting that. I used my arms and pushed it back. I pull my axe from the Beryl gem a I reach into Diamond's gem. I concentrate, part of me wanting to prove I can pull out something from her gem and another part of me saying that I couldn't. Then, a bow an arrow came out and I combined them into a crossbow. I shot at the corruption, then I ran back to the temple.

"Hey Agate!" I yell, Tripping over my own feet as I run into the temple.

"Hmm?"

"Check us-wait. me out!"

"Woh... Bixbite?"

"Yep!"

"Nice. I think this will be better for Hope Diamond; come with me."

I walk with agate outside to a smaller round building. It was stone, but carvings and paint of many exotic colors decorated the exterior of the dome. Also, flowers were around the building hanging from the awning. She leads me inside. Another gem with a sleek blackish dress and strait silver hair walks up to us.

"Hello Agate. Bixbite," I nod in their direction,

"I am Snowflake Obsidian, here to heal."

"Good luck, I have to go plan our next attack, or at least try to protect the earth from more corruptions."

I watch Agate leave then look back at Snowflake Obsidian.

"You can call me "Snow" if you want."

She flicks her hand and a snow table forms. A snow table!

"I am going to try to access Hope Diamond's memories; it is easier for some like you Beryl to be fused because your memories could spark Diamond's. We just need to ignite that spark."

I lye down on the snow table. I close all three of my eyes and go into what some gems might call a mind space. I see both of myselves and snow

In a dark space that gives off a blue aurora with a glowing white floor.

"Ok, so Diamond I am going to show you some of Beryl's memories that you too shared. Is that alright Beryl? Diamond?"

"Yeah, it's cool with me, whatever it takes to bring my diamond back."

"Diamond? Are you ready?"

"I'm... not sure."

"What!"

"I want my memories and all but; it's just- the emotions I can't explain that I know are from the past...they feel sad and lonely; I don't want to relive that."

"Hope." I say and put my arm around her, "You are not alone. You will have everyone here, and me, your beloved Beryl."

"Thanks." I say and smile.

"Ahem, we should probably get your memories back Diamond,"

"Yeah; right. I'm ready."

A flash in the mind space appears and shows all of the memories Beryl and I went through together, they went by in a flash and the screen disappeared. Snow got out a bottle with clear liquid and walk towards me.

"I found a strange monument on an island somewhere. For research I took some of the water. I found out that it can heal even cracked gems, I believe it can heal your memories."

She took some of the liquid and smoothed it against my forehead. I immediately feel tingles all around me and I start to glow like when Beryl regenerated. I know that our emotions are too far apart and Bixbite will have to unfuse, so I let that happen.

I wake up next to Hope, but she's in gem form again. I sigh knowing that she will be alright, although a little part of me is scared that the liquid won't work. I wait a couple of minutes while Snow studies Diamond and I.

"You know Beryl, this is the most curious impure Diamond I've had the honor of meeting."

"How so?"

"She isn't formed the same way...I just know it. I'll look more into it, I love to learn more about stuff like this."

I shake my head slightly confused, Hope Diamond never really told me her past before, but I shake the thought away as a see a bright glow from her gem. She regenerated beautifully with no mistakes and she had a mixture of both regeneration clothes. Her shirt I saw when we first met, I love that shirt, and a flowy medium length skirt the color of her pants with flowers along the end. She landed on the ground in front of me. Her warm smile told me that it worked and I stood up and hugged her.

"I'm glad you're back," I whisper in her ear. I hear her chuckle and we head outside to show Diamond a tour of our new home.
