𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘

Friday : April 23rd, 1999

It's a beautiful sunny morning in Grand Rapids, the sound of an alarm clock echoed throughout the room. A hand reached out from underneath the
silk satin covers, turning it off.

Debbie sat up in bed stretching out her arms, she let out a long yawn before glancing over at the clock which read 6:15 AM. She let out a groan, then finally got out of bed.

"Only a few more days left before it's over, just a few more days left." Debbie huffed

She adjusted her pajamas and slipped on her white fuzzy slippers, making her way towards her closet.
Debbie opened up the walk in closet, looking over every piece of clothing trying to come up with something to wear, which could take a while cause she can be indecisive at times.

After five minutes of indecisiveness, Debbie managed to find an outfit. She put on her yellow plaid suit, which consisted of a plaid skirt with a matching jacket, pairing it with her Mary Jane shoes, white knee-high socks, a white tee, and
yellow cardigan.

Debbie glanced one last time in her mirror, and nodded impressed with her look.

"Excellent choice Debbie," She picks up her back pack, flipping her hair, "Very excellent." Debbie smiled

She headed downstairs to the kitchen where she found her mother Carla cooking breakfast, and her little brother Sam, reading a book while eating pancakes at the table.

"Good morning, Mom." Debbie Said, walking towards the refrigerator.

"Morning Debs." Carla Said, while flipping some pancakes.

Debbie takes out a carton of orange juice then poured herself a glass, Carla glanced over at her daughter's outfit and raised a brow.

"Is that the Dolce & Gabbana outfit I bought you for Christmas?" Carla Questioned

"Yes, I know I said I'd wear it but, I just never found the opportunity to wear it. So today I figured why not, plus my I just recently got my hair done." Debbie Said, taking a sip of juice from her cup.

"Well at least your wearing it." She hands her a plate of pancakes, "Here you go." Carla Said

"Thanks mom, " She then sat down next to her little brother at the table, "Morning, Sammy." Debbie Said, as she ruffled up the boys hair a little.

"Hey, watch it Debbie don't ruin it." He slapped her hand away, "It took me a minute to get it like this." Sam Said, fixing his hair.

"Geez I'm sorry," She chuckled, "Who would have thought a five year old would care so much about their hair." Debbie Said

"He's only worried about his hair because that girl Kara Blake said his hair looked nice." Carla Said, as she sat at the table.

"Aww, does our little Sammy have a crush!" Debbie Exclaimed, hugging her little brother from behind.

"Yes." Carla Said, taking a sip from her coffee.

"No, I don't have a crush..I don't like her." Sam brushed off

Debbie and Carla looked at him clearly not buying it, but smiled because it's adorable.

"Aw I remember when I had my first crush, it was second grade Jeremy Townsen, he bought me a rose on Valentine's Day." Debbie smiled, reminiscing.

"Was that the boy who also glued his eyelids back?" Carla Questioned, as Debbie nodded.

"Mhm, stupidest thing he's ever done but let's look at it..he was seven." Debbie shrugged, picking up her fork to eat.

"Okay, so back to you mister are you packed for the father son camping trip this weekend?" Carla Asked

"Yup, I've been packed since Wednesday I'm so excited. I just hope it's better than last year." Sam Said

"What happened last year again?" Debbie Asked

"The trip had to get cut short because your father accidentally peed on a poison ivy tree." Carla answered.

"Oh, right right." Debbie Said

"Well at least dad has a kid of his who enjoys camping, I know he tried with you and Kelly but,
you guys just weren't having fun." Carla Said

"Hey we had fun," Carla looks to her, "Okay we didn't have as much fun, because I'm not really a camping girl, but I only did it to make dad happy, and it did." Debbie Said

Carla looks to her watch, "Mm, it's almost time for me to head to work and drop you off at school. But before I go, you remember that I'm going to be out of town till Monday?"

"Mhm, your work business conference in Boston." Debbie remembered

"Right, since I'm going to be there and your brother will be with your dad. Are you staying home or with Val this weekend?" Carla Asked

"Um I don't know yet, I'll see when I get home." Debbie Said

Suddenly there's a knock at the door, the three of them all shared a look with each other.

"Who the hell is that?" Carla wondered, getting up from her seat.

"You expecting someone?" Debbie Asked

"This early, no." Carla replied

Carla walked out the kitchen room and into the foyer area, she peaked through the glass sides of the door then opened it, letting in Peter.

"Hey." Carla Said

"Hey, Morning Carla," Peter greeted back, as the two of them walked back into the kitchen.

"Dad?" Debbie and Sam Said

"Hey kids, come and give your old man a hug." Peter Said

"Dad we saw you on Wednesday." Sam Said

"Which was two days ago, and I missed you come here bud." Peter Said, as he picked up Sam embracing him.

Peter put down Sam back in the chair, and moved over to his second oldest daughter and kissed her on the forehead.

"Hey sweetie." Peter Said, as Debbie half smiles.

"Hey Dad." Debbie Said

"So Pete, what's up?" Carla Asked

"I figured that I just come over and surprise Sammy, by driving him to school this morning." Peter answered

"Really?" Sam Said, excitedly.

"Really?" Carla Said

"Yeah, look I know that I usually drop him off and pick him up on Mondays and Wednesday's, but I was hoping to drop him off since I don't have to be in early today, if that's okay with you?" Peter looked to Carla

"Uh, sure yeah I don't mind. I'll save me a few extra minutes to get to work early, sure." Carla Said

"Okay, thanks." Peter Said

"No problem." Carla nodded, as they awkwardly fell into silence.

"The silence in this room is so deafening." Debbie joked, as her parents looked to her.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

After breakfast Debbie quickly brushed her teeth again, and headed out the door so he could drive to school. 15 minutes later she arrived at East Great Falls High, she parked her all white Jeep wrangler in the parking lot, getting out grabbing her backpack.

"Debbie." Valerie Said

She turned around at the sound of a familiar voice, it was Valerie. Debbie and Valerie's friendship goes back 12 years, they met when Val was the new kid at their elementary school.

And everyone knows that being a new kid could be hard at times, one day at lunch when Valerie was sitting alone, Debbie walked over and joined her.

The two started sharing stories on who was their favorite Care Bears and love for Michael Jackson, and just like that they've been joint at the hip ever since.

"Hey, Val." Debbie smiled and hugged her, "Hey did you uh-"

"Yup. Don't worry I have the notes for our English quiz for 7th period." Val Said

"Oh thanks Val," She kissed her cheek, "Your the best I love you." Debbie Said

"I know." She smirked, "Ooh I see your finally wearing the Dolce & Gabbana outfit, I swear if you weren't going to wear that outfit I was going to steal it." Valerie joked, as Debbie played nudged her.

"Haha beat you too it, don't worry my love you can borrow it if you want." Debbie Said

"Aw you're so sweet." Valerie Said

Moments later the two are in the hallway, getting stuff out their locker. As Debbie is taking out her history book, a cute guy, Brooks Bennett.

"Looking good Debbie." Brooks complimented, sending her a wink as he walks past her.

"Thanks Brooks, you too." Debbie smirked at him

She turned around smiling ear to ear at Valerie, who didn't look all that impressed.

"What?" Debbie Said

"Brooks Bennett really?" Valerie Said, as Debbie scoffed.

"Yes." Debbie replied

"So you have a thing for a lacrosse player now, what happened to can't standing all the boys on the lacrosse team?" Valerie Questioned, raising a brow.

"Well I never said that, I only said that I couldn't stand some of the boys," She corrected, "And we both know who's top of the list, but Brook's isn't." Debbie Said

"Enlighten me then." Valerie Said

"Okay so, Brooks and I have been having this little back and forth flirting situation, for like three weeks now. And I'm pretty sure..he probably likes me." Debbie Said, smirking.

"So then ask him out if your so sure." Valerie Said

"Oh no, I'm waiting for him to ask me out." Debbie Said, as Valerie chuckled.

"Oh Debs, you know waiting for the guy to make the first move could take forever..guys don't always get the signs." Valerie mentioned, closing her locker.

"I don't think so, I'm pretty sure I'm this close to being asked out by Brooks." Debbie Said, closing her locker as well.

"Keep hoping sister." She looked down the hall, waving to Vicky and Jess, "Hey, look." Valerie Said

"Vicky, Jess hey girls." Debbie Said

"Hey." Vicky greeted, as she and Jess approached them.

"Morning Debs, Val." Jess Said, as they all shared quick hugs.

Debbie and Valerie met Vicky and Jess back during freshman year, what started off as brief conversations through classes then turned into
real friendships.

"Glad your both here, I have some news to share with you guys." Vicky Said

"What?" They Said

Vicky held up an envelope, taking out a piece of paper. "Look who got into Cornell University!"

Jessica, Debbie and Valerie's eyes lit up in excitement as the three of them all showered her
in congratulations.

"Wow Vic Cornell, that's a tough school to get into congrats again." Debbie Said

"Well thanks Deb." Vicky Said

"So did you tell Kevin yet?" Valerie Asked

"Yeah, he opened my acceptance letter he seemed really happy for me." Vicky Said, as she half smiled.

"Why am I getting a sense of something." Jess Said

"It's just that I realized that Kev and I might have to do the whole long distance thing." Vicky sighed

"Are you sure, I mean it's all the way in upstate New York." Debbie pointed out

"True, but Cornell's not that far from U Of M." Vicky Said

"Yeah, it's only, like, seven hours." Valerie Said

"Oh, and you get to drive across Canada, beautiful country." Debbie added, as they nodded.

"Now the real question is, is it doable?" She questioned, "No offense, but you're talking about a post-high school Vic, long-distance relationship.
And you and Kevin haven't even done it yet." Jess Mentioned

"That's not why we're going out." Vicky Stated

"Okay, but Vicky what do you expect him to drive to Cornell for? Milk and cookies?" Jess joked

"Come on Jess." Debbie Said

"I'm just think logically that's all." Jess said in defense

"We're going to have sex when he's ready and I'm ready. It's got to be completely perfect." She smiled,
"I want the right time, the right moment, the right place-" Vicky Said

"Vicky, it's not a space shuttle launch. It's sex." Jess Said

"No shit." Vicky Remarked

"Look Vicky there's not shame in waiting, I'm doing that as well." Debbie Said, confidently.

"Deb's you've had three boyfriends, what the hell are you waiting for?" Valerie Questioned

Debbie shrugged her shoulders "Dunno it just didn't feel right with them, I guess I'm waiting for "the" moment."

"All right I'm gonna head to class early so I'm not late, you coming?" Jess Asked

"Yeah, wait are you guys coming to Stifler's party tonight?" Vicky turned to Debbie and Valerie

"He's having another party, didn't he just have one." Debbie Said

"Yeah, I believe it was three weeks ago." Valerie Replied

"So yes or no?" Vicky Questioned

Debbie and Valerie shrugged her shoulders, the girls looked to Vicky.

"We'll be there." Debbie simply said

"Cool, see you guys later." Vicky Said, as she and Jess walked further down the hall.

"Okay, I'll see you in second period." Valerie Said

"See you." Debbie nodded

Valerie walked into her trigonometry class, as Debbie walked further down the hall.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Debbie turned around a corner, seeing the band team playing their instruments and noticed that one of the members, Michelle Flaherty from her world history class is waving to her.

Even though Michelle isn't one of the most popular girls in the school, but Debbie didn't care and was always kind to her which Michelle appreciated.

"Oh, Hey Debbie!" Michelle Said, waving.

"Hey, Michelle." Debbie smiled, waving back.

Up further ahead down the hall she saw her four best guy friends laughing, as she walked over to them.

"Morning Gentlemen." Debbie greeted

"Hey, Debs." Jim, Kevin and Chris Said

"Deborah." Paul nodded to her, holding his thermos in hand.

Debbie's friendship with the boys is very special to her, as they treat and see her as just one of the guys.
She met Kevin first in third grade, helping him clean himself up after spilling strawberry yogurt all over his striped shirt.

That same year Kevin introduced her to Jim, who actually did have a crush on her but luckily went away as he only liked her in a friendly way.

Then around middle school is when the three of them met Chris and Paul, she bonded with Chris over sports and Paul with arts. And just like that the five of them have been together since.

"Ooh Paul, you know I love it when you call me by my name." Debbie teased, as the boys laughed, "So what's up?"

"Jim was just telling us about how his parents walked in on him watching porn." Chris Replied, as Debbie's eyes widen.

"No." Debbie gasped

"Mhm." Jim nodded, embarrassed.

"Oh god, they didn't catch you with your dick in your hand right?" Debbie Asked

"No, worse they caught me with a sock on my dick." Jim exasperated

Debbie, Kevin, Chris and Paul all looked to him then bursted into laughter.

"A sock? Really." Paul Said, raising a brow.

"Now that's just, wow." Kevin laughed

"Go on, laugh all you want I hate you all." Jim Said, as Debbie walked over and quickly hugged him.

"It's okay Jimbo, it happens." Chris assured

"Yeah, just remember to lock the door next time." Debbie smirked, patting him on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, he'll forget again." Paul joked, as they laughed again.

"Oh shut up Finch, just go ahead and drink your coffee." Jim waved him off

"What I'm drinking, it's mochaccino. It's not coffee." Paul corrected

"Nova!"

They all looked down the hall as they all saw the one and only Steve Stifler jogging down the hall towards them.

Stifler shoved through some students walking down the hall, until he approached Chris as they chest bumped.

"What's up, dude." Chris Said

"You coming to the party tonight, Ozzie, you fuck face?" Stifler Asked, excitedly.

"Uh, depends if my date wants to stop by." Chris Said

"Wait you've got a date?" Debbie Questioned

"Mhm, I'm working on something new." Chris replied, smirking.

"I got an idea about something new. How about you guys actually locate your dicks, remove the shrink-wrap and fucking use them!" Stifler Exclaimed

"Dude, it's going to happen. She's a college chick." Chief

"Ooh, Casanova." Jim pointed to him, impressed.

"What's her name?" Stifler Asked

"Bonnie." Chris answered.

"Bullshit, from where?" Stifler Questioned

"She works part time at my dad's store." Chris Said

Stifler scoffed, "Yeah right Oz, I bet it's more like your dad works more at her store."

"Dude come on he does not." Chris deadpans

"Stifler really his dad's the manager." Kevin pointed out

"Oh," He nods, then looks to Chris, "Hey I'm not making fun, I'm fucking impressed I mean "hi six inch or foot long?" That right there is some serious shit to master." Stifler laughed

"Stifler your such an asshole." Kevin piped up

Stifler turned to him, "Myers, hey what's the deal with you and Vicky anyways? I mean you guys have been going out since homecoming for god sakes, and all she'll do is blow you!" He laughed, "Shit! I'd drop her like a steaming turd."

"Aw is that all you're getting nowadays are the girls not giving it up anymore, it must suck huh oh wait." Debbie retorted, as Jim and Kevin snorted.

"Debbie, Debbie, Debbie.." He chuckled, looking to her, "You know the longer you keep your vagina locked away, the dryer it gets." Stifler remarked

The boys's mouth dropped at that comeback, Debbie angrily glared at Stifler who was looking at her with a sly smirk. She went to go hit him, but Jim grabbed her arm pulling her back.

"Dick." Debbie gritted through her teeth

"I am, but what are you," He laughed, "Oh, right. I'll see you guys tonight. I'll look for you all in the no-fucking section." Steve Said, before walking away.

"I really can't stand him." Debbie sighed

"We know." The boys all said in unison

Debbie watched him walk away, all she could think about was kicking him down a flight of stairs. Her disliking for Steve dates back all the way to 6th grade, during that year she had to get braces and wasn't do thrilled about it.

The guys wouldn't tease her about it, but Steve sure did. He would give her a nickname which was "Heavy Metal", and soon most of the grade would call her that as well. So over the years the two would just bicker on and on, which her friends thought was funny. Soon the bell rung which snapped Debbie out of her thoughts.

"All right Kev, Debs first period awaits." Chris Said

"See you guys, come on Finch." Jim Said, as they all walked to their respective classrooms.
