The multiverse was a funny thing— not a phenomena but more like an oscillation between reality and dreams. The multiverse was the very piece of impossible that had kept our sanity together. But then, as it would one day turn out, the multiverse was very real. Now, the funny thing about the multiverse was that in every universe, there existed a version of Peter Parker. In every world there existed a version of Gwen Stacy and in every world, there existed a version of MJ.

Sometimes, these people would never even make a huge impact in each other's lives, there would be other women that this man, Peter Parker would end up with, other men. May it be Felicia, Cindy, Liz or sometimes even this random dude named Wade. But then, these two women, Gwen and MJ, were always meant to cross Peter Parker's path at least once.

Also, did I forget to mention? Most Peter Parker's ended up becoming Spiderman.

There was also, yet one more way the multiverse always screwed up with Peter Parker's life. Most people would refer to it as a cliché considering the ironic element of it but in every universe where MJ was a big part of Peter's life, Gwen was supposed to be the one he could have had but didn't, MJ was the one whose destiny lied in falling, sometimes literally off a building and Peter was the one always supposed to go, by every means to catch her.

Most Peter's caught their MJ's.

But there's one Peter that didn't.

There was this one Peter Parker that almost caught his MJ in time— almost being the key word here... almost being the most abundant word in his life. Just like he almost stopped his parents from leaving him, almost saved Uncle Ben, and how he almost gave her the entire world.

But every story has a beginning... Just because you know the ending doesn't mean that the story isn't interesting. Their story was a masterpiece, crafted in the delicate hands of the fates themselves. Their story was unique, one of a kind with it's unseen gazes and lingering what if's.

Their story was just about two teenagers who fell in love.

A bittersweet tragedy... but then, those were the best kind.
