Tanay's POV

It was night time and all of us had retreated to our respective rooms. The day was uneventful, except for the small tiff at lunch. I sat on the bed and sighed heavily, placing a hand on my forehead.

Kavya is very hurt. She may show otherwise, but I know, deep down her heart, she is still not convinced that the scene she witnessed in the morning wasn't true. My Kavya was so silent, just replying in monosyllables. And it kills me to know that I was the reason for it.
I need to do something. I can't bear seeing her like this.
But what can I possibly do?

I thought hard about every option present before me.
'Tanay remember what she said one day, about getting a tattoo ? Go ahead man and prove your love!' My subconscious cheered.

Oh yes! I can surely do that for her. I remember her telling me about getting similar tattoos one day. I have the best tattoo for us, our love. And the part where I'll get it done........ Perfect!

I took out my phone and searched for nearby places where I could get it done. Kavya will be so happy.

I was furiously tapping the letters on screen when Ayaan asked me something.
"Bhai.....tujhe kya hua hai? Phone todne ka irada hai kya?" He joked.

"Nope. Just searching for something."

"Shall I help you? And by the way, you look too happy. Everything fine between you and Kavya?" He aske concerned.

"I'm happy but its nothing special," I replied nonchalantly.

"Okay. I'm off to bed..damn sleepy," he said while stifling a yawn.

I found out the nearest tattoo parlour in a matter of few minutes and then slept contently.
The next day, I got ready early and went to carry out my plan.

3rd Person's POV

Tanay grinned heartily. The tattoo had been made.
'Getting it done did hurt, but the pain will be worth of Kavya's happiness,' he thought.

As he entered the hotel's lobby, he met Veronica.
"Tanay!! Where were you the whole morning? I was searching for You!" Veronica complained as soon as she saw him.

"Just went out for a while. Nothing much," he replied and shrugged his shoulders.

The first few buttons of his shirt were open, showing off his newly prized possession. Veronica didn't miss that and wasted no time in commenting on it.

"Ohh, you got a new tattoo! Show me," squealed Veronica.

"Sorry Veronica I can't show it to you. Its between me and Kavya. I hope you understand. Now please excuse me," saying this, Tanay went away from her.

"Kavya, Kavya, Kavya! That b¡tch ! I'll make sure she doesn't stick around you for long, Tanay," muttered Veronica.

Kavya was looking for Tanay since a while now. Finally, she saw him in the lawn. He too, found her and was coming towards her. She looked at him and felt that their was something different about his demeanor.

Kavya was stupefied by the sight she just saw. Tanay had a tattoo on his chest, a beautiful one. It looked like some initials which were inscribed inside a heart. It was an intricate design and she tried to decipher it. The initials were a adjoined 'T' and 'V'.
Why does he have a T and V? She thought.
She cracked her brains and that's when it struck her.
'T and V for Tanay and Veronica!'

Her heart cringed at that thought.
'So this the truth. Tanay had declined these things yesterday, but see now, he proved them to be true by his own actions.'
'I won't fall weak' she kept on reminding herself,' Tanay can't play with my feelings! Six years for god's sake! Ugh..'

Kavya was lost in her thoughts when Tanay came and hugged her from behind.

"Good morning baby!" He seductively said in her ear.

Irritated, she freed herself from his embrace.

"What happened?" Tanay asked worried and surprised.

"Tanay !!! How can you be so normal, so indifferent. I mean you...didn't even care how would I feel after this act of yours.....at least you could have clearly told me about this earlier....but you...you.....cheated! Do you even know the amount of pain you've..inflicted on me...by...by getting a tattoo of you....and...and .... Veronica! I....I...just....." She stopped, unable to continue.

As much as she tried keeping her tears at bay, she couldn't finally control them.

Tanay came closer to her and placing his hands on either sides of her face said," Kavya, its not what you think. I swear this-"

She swatted his hands away, stopping him mid-sentence.
"Please Tanay, stop all this. I can't take this anymore......"

"No Kavya...just listen...." he pleaded.

Unknown to them, their exchange was being witnessed by Ayaan and Aarushi. She felt bad for her friends. She wanted to unite them then and there, but was sensible enough to know that it was not the right time. If only she could do something......

Tears were fervently flowing down Kavya's face.
"You know what Tanay......"
She paused to wipe her tears.
But the next words that came out of her mouth were enough to shift the ground beneath Tanay's feet.
".......it's over!"
