Jimmy's Perspective-

Sorry for all the time skips :)

"But I don't wanna work! It's the summer! I want too just chill!" Jimmy whined.

"Well too bad. I got you an interview at this place." His mother said.

"Why not let me do what I want?!"

"You already chill all the time, it's good to try something new."

"But I don't want new."

Jimmy's mother gave him a stern look and he sighed.

"Fine." He mumbled.

"Thanks sweetie." She kissed his forehead.

Jimmy shook her away and walked up to his room.

"Interview's tomorrow at noon! Don't be late!" She called after him.

The Next Day-

Jimmy walked into the café and was welcomed by calming jazz music, a friendly bell, and a hello from the ginger haired employee at the counter.

"Er- I'm here for an interview." Jimmy said awkwardly.

"James, right?" The woman asked, "Ms. Harp is in the other room." She led Jimmy to a room where a lady sat at a cluttered desk.

She had gray-blonde hair that was in a messy bun. She was scribbling something down on a piece of paper, mumbling to herself as she threw away an empty coffee cup.

When she saw Jimmy, she got up and shook his hand, wearing a kind smile.

"Thank you, Cleo; may you close the door on your way out?"

Cleo nodded and left.

"Please, sit down." She motioned to the seat in front of her desk as she sat down.

Jimmy sat down as she moved papers from her desk.

She smiled again and said, "Don't worry, dear. I'm just going to ask a couple of questions."

She was very kind. She asked some questions and eventually, she thanked Jimmy and he left.

That night, Jimmy was lying on his bed, playing Pokémon on his switch when his phone buzzed.

It was a message from Ms. Harp.

It was only two words:

'You're hired!'

She then sent another text explaining how he would be starting tomorrow and have another employee teach him what to do.

Jimmy smiled weakly as he told his parents, who hugged him.

"Great! When do you start?" His mother asked.

"Tomorrow." Jimmy said, "She said that an employee named Cleo would help me and another person who got hired the other day."

His mother nodded and said that she would drop him off in the morning.

"Now get to sleep, I want you to be focused tomorrow!"

The Next Day-

Jimmy walked into the café with his uniform on and saw the same ginger haired girl there.

"James, right?"

"Er- yeah, but I prefer Jimmy."

She nodded and stretched out her hand, "Cleo."

Jimmy shook her hand and she then tied up her hair.

"We're waiting on another kid. Think his name's Eleanor or something."

Jimmy nodded and then a boy with strawberry blonde hair walked in.

"There he is!" Cleo smiled.

Jimmy turned around and his jaw dropped.

"Eliot?!"
