Asher Campbell's father died soon after his
nine-year-old sister, Raine, was born. He promised to take care of his mother and sister, getting a job at the local diner to bring home some extra money. He excelled in school, being in the yearbook committee, on the basketball team, editor for the school newspaper, and the choir. His curly dark hair and gapped tooth grin brought an extra little charm to his already overwhelming charisma. Now, here he was, lying back first in a muddy alley, the blood from the wound in his shoulder was being carried to a drain by the rain. He looked at the face of his father's -now broken- watch. His friend Celeste's hand just inches from his own. Time of death, 11:46pm.

Celeste Lewis's mother died when she was born. Her father always blamed her for the death, eventually becoming borderline abusive. Always the best at reading people, she had a few close friends, who always had a should to cry on. Her friend Bella often took advantage of that shoulder, not telling her what was wrong, but Celeste always just wanted to comfort her. Now, laying in a grimy alleyway with raindrops splashing onto her paling face, no one was there to comfort her. The pain had become excruciating, but her body was no longer reacting. Her curly, voluminous hair was now matted to her face with blood, the wound from her neck to blame. She looked up towards the heavens, her feeble attempts at reaching for Asher forgotten, and she prayed that she'd see her mother for the first time.
