Juno wandered through the clothes section of the department store on her own. Lydia and her had parted ways not long ago so Lydia wouldn't be late for a date, but Juno stayed so she could pick out clothes without Lydia hovering behind her. She enjoyed Lydia's company since they both were studious and loved fashion, but Juno could do without Lydia 'advising' Juno not to buy something yellow because it clashes with her hair colour.
She stopped to examine the price tag of a black leather jacket. Juno was skeptical since she almost never wore black, but there was nothing wrong with stepping out of her comfort zone. She scoffed as she read the three digit price for the jacket then walked away, convincing herself that she didn't even like the jacket anyways. Juno stopped at another rack and looked through the different colours of one dress. She picked up two, one blue and the other green. She stared at them both deciding which one to get, until her phone went off as loud as possible, causing her to jump and almost drop the clothes.
She groaned as she hung the dresses back up and brought out her phone. She rolled her eyes at the contact name knowing it was Stiles, but her eyes widened once she saw what the message had said.
Batman 💖
S: I'd go with blue.
Juno checked her surroundings, wondering how Stiles knew what she was doing. She felt a tap on her shoulder, then turned around. Juno jumped and let out a shriek at the sight of Stiles standing right behind her. She smacked his shoulder in anger for scaring her, while Stiles almost fell on the floor from laughter.
"Don't do that!" She spat, smacking him again. Stiles winced and rubbed his shoulder to ease the pain. "Why are you creeping up on me like that?"
"I was in here picking up something to help me understand more about what you are," Stiles said as he held up a copy of Twilight. Juno folded her arms and scowled up at him as he flipped through the pages of the book with a stupid grin on his face. "Do you per chance know a guy called Edward Cullen?"
Juno took in a deep breath to control her anger. "I will hit you, Stiles," she threatened. There was a pause between the two. Stiles looked down at the page he was on, then back up to Juno. His grin dropped slightly as he noticed the pure rage in her eyes, but Stiles couldn't help himself, and kept teasing her.
"Does that mean you do?" He questioned. Juno held up her hand preparing to hit Stiles again. Stiles stumbled back and held up his hands in surrender. "Juno I'm kidding," he laughed.
She rolled her eyes, "did you really come here just to purchase that?"
"As much as it is embarrassing, I did intend to come here and purchase it just for the sole purpose of teasing you about it. I saw you and I thought why not just get it over it without having to pay $13.95 for it?"
Juno couldn't prevent the chuckle that left her lips at Stiles' ridiculousness. "Well you didn't have to creep up on me," she mumbled. "And why do you want to 'understand more about what I am' anyway?"
"Well since discovering you are a Vampire I feel like whatever I have known about you is completely meaningless and that you are this whole new person that I know nothing about," Stiles explained.
Juno chuckled, "and you think Twilight is going to help you understand who I am?"
"No, I thought we established that Twilight was just for entertainment purposes only which brings me back to my question-" Juno groaned and rolled her eyes before Stiles could finish, but he continued anyway. "Do you know an Edward Cullen? You never said you didn't."
Juno sighed in defeat, "I know an Edythe Cullen, not an Edward," she admitted. Stiles' eyes widened as he stared at the cover of the book. He quickly disappeared, then returned with the entire Twilight Saga in his arms, and the same stupid grin on his face. "None of what happens in those books actually happened! It's all fiction based off of one person!" Juno whined.
Stiles groaned, "you're no fun," he whined as he left again. Juno followed him to the book section where he put all four books back where they belong. The two then left the store empty handed and wandered through the rest of the mall, where Stiles continued to question the existence of particular Twilight characters, and Juno explained what was real and what was fiction in the stories; most of which was fiction.
"So did you just want to go over a terribly written, inaccurate young adult series with me or actually know more about me," Juno teased. Stiles and Juno found themselves leaving the mall, and they stood together in the parking lot.
"Well yeah, but I guess I got carried away," Stiles said. "I feel kind of bad about the whole ask to take you to a movie then end up taking you to some stranger's loft where a lot went down..." Stiles' eyes shifted over to Juno's, which were narrowed as she waited for him to get to the point. "Well first of all I should probably ask if you're doing anything for the rest of today."
Juno shrugged, "that depends... I could just be at home for the rest of the day doing nothing, or I could be with you for the rest of the day."
Stiles' face lit up, "I think I like the second option better."

Stiles and Juno sat on the hood of his Jeep in the middle of the woods. There was a large paper bag full of fast food in between them, that Stiles insisted on getting once he found out Juno had never eaten a chicken nugget before. Stiles took a handful of fries and shoved them in his mouth, causing Juno to let out a laugh.
"I never understood why humans eat those with so little grace," she teased.
"They're french fries," Stiles said with a mouth full, "gotta get them all in." He grabbed a few more and offered them to Juno, but she declined, making Stiles shrug. "So I guess the one question I'm dying to ask would be about your age..."
Juno sighed, knowing that Stiles would ask that question first. "I was born in 1331," she said. Stiles' jaw dropped, luckily for the both of them he had finished eating his handful of fries at that point. "You do the math."
"So you're basically like seven hundred years old!" Stiles exclaimed. "How did you become a Vampire?" He asked. Juno looked up at the trees that blocked the grey sky above them. She remembered the horrible day that she turned, and looked over at Stiles with worried eyes.
"You want to know everything that happened?" She asked solemnly.
Stiles, not seeing the hurt in Juno's eyes, nodded rapidly. "Hell yeah!" He enthused. Juno then sighed and looked back up at the trees, then told Stiles everything that had happened.

Cyrus Clarke, one of the few scholars of London, stood outside of the home belonged to the makers of clothes, or the Taylor family. Emerged from the home was one of the many doctors that would be called in by the families of the sick to try and cure them. Of course, there was no cure, so the doctors only offered bad news.
Cyrus tried to look through the lenses of the pointed mask to see the eyes of the doctor on the inside, but he couldn't. He covered his mouth and nose with his hand as the strong aroma of herbs and flowers stuffed in the pointed end of the doctor's mask gave Cyrus difficulty breathing, no doubt one plant in there was a wild rose.
He watched as the doctor painted a large red cross on the door, marking that on the inside was an infected person. Cyrus then waited until the doctor left before he knocked on the door. The sound of sobs coming from inside make him want to turn around and leave, but he knew he couldn't in the Taylors' time of need.
Cyrus' eyes met with the eldest daughter of the family, Diana Taylor. Her brown eyes glassy with tears, her blonde hair in a crazed state from pulling them at the roots, refusing to believe the state of her only sister Juno. Diana threw herself onto Cyrus, wrapping her arms around him tightly, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.
"She has only a day, Cyrus," Diana sobbed. He held onto her small frame tightly as she continued to cry. Those infected never lasted more than five days before dying, and Juno was on day four. "You have to do something, please, anything!" Diana begged.
Cyrus looked down into her eyes and shook his head, "you know there's no cure," he muttered, "there's nothing I can do." Diana gripped onto Cyrus' shirt collar tightly and pulled him closer. Their noses just brushing against each other. She looked up at him with pleading eyes, desperate for her sister to be saved.
"I know you, you've told me of all the lives you've saved before you came here. You've told me you know more than any of these doctors. Please, do something, anything," she pleaded. Cyrus was experienced in saving the lives of those who simply caught a fever, but never a disease as deadly as the Black Death. But it was Diana's scent that made him vulnerable, submissive to her, willing to give her anything she ever wanted. Diana Taylor was the only person Cyrus had ever truly fallen in love with, she was the only one who had a blood scent unlike any other.
"Anything?" Cyrus asked. There was one way of saving Diana's sister that he knew would work, but it was something he would save for Diana when the time came.
Diana nodded, "anything," she repeated. "Please just promise me you'll make sure she's okay."
Cyrus sighed in defeat, "I promise." He then entered the Taylor family home. He looked around and took in the small trinkets Diana and Juno's mother had brought with her from Rome, where she was originally from. That's how Diana and Juno were named, after two Roman Goddesses.
Cyrus could hear the violent coughs coming from the room that Diana and Juno once shared. He winced at the sounds of his love's sister in pain. He knew this one thing would make Diana happy, he was doing it for her.
"Wait here," Cyrus muttered. Diana nodded as she went to be with her mother and father, who were wailing in the living area. Cyrus opened the door to the room Juno was in and had to look away from the sight before him.
Juno's blonde curls were damp with sweat. Parts of her garments were covered in the blood that she had been coughing up. The room reeked of vomit, and Juno's skin had dark splotches where there was bleeding under her skin. She looked up at Cyrus, a man whom she'd only met once before. Cyrus knelt down beside her bed and looked her in the eyes.
"I don't want your pity, get out of here before I pass it on to you," Juno spat. Even while dying, she still had fire burning in her soul.
"I'm here to help you," Cyrus muttered.
Juno looked at the madman making bold claims, "I don't want your help, your help won't do anything!" The raise of volume in Juno's voice made her cough violently again. She looked into the palm of her hand and was surprised to find it clean. "No blood, how surprising..."
Cyrus felt hesitant to do what he was going to, but he knew letting Juno die would be the end of Diana. He took in a deep breath and gently turned her face towards him. "Juno, I need you to close your eyes for a few moments. After that, you need to do exactly as I say. I promise, all of this will go away."
Juno looked at him skeptically, but she knew she had nothing to lose. If Cyrus were to kill her right then and there, it would only be ending her suffering. She did as told, and fluttered her eyes shut. Cyrus brushed her hair out of the way of her neck, giving him full access. Cyrus leaned forward, and sunk his teeth into her neck. Before Juno could scream, Cyrus quickly pulled away and tore open his wrist. He shoved his wrist to Juno's mouth, where his blood began to pool.
"Drink," he ordered. Juno tried to force his wrist away from her mouth, but his strength was no match compared to hers. She was forced to swallow the blood, and did so unwillingly. Tears welled up in her eyes as the metallic taste filled her mouth and as her neck stung worse than any pain she felt before. Cyrus pulled his arm away, but covered Juno's mouth with his hand. "You will hide that mark on your neck. If you tell anyone what I did to you, I will not let you live." He threatened. Cyrus looked into Juno's brown eyes, "do you understand?"
Juno nodded rapidly. Cyrus took his hand off her mouth and got up. Juno laid back and pulled her garments up to her chin, hiding her neck. She looked up at Cyrus, who wiped her blood from his mouth, and looked back down at her with glowing eyes. She trembled in fear, and dared not to speak a word of the event to her family, for no one would believe a syllable of it.
Cyrus then left the room, and the house without saying goodbye to Diana. The next few days for Juno were as agonising as the days she spent suffering from disease. Diana was grateful that Juno lived past the five day expectancy, but she couldn't bear the pain Juno was in.
On Juno's final day of transformation, her family thought she was dead. Juno's skin was as white as snow, and her skin was as cold as ice. Diana screamed as she shook Juno's body, begging for her to open her eyes and wake up. Diana didn't notice Juno's eyes open as she was too busy wailing into Juno's chest.
Juno's eyes were a deep crimson red, wild and hungry. A newborn Vampire was hard to control, a hungry newborn Vampire was impossible to control. Juno was out of it, her mind wasn't the same at the state she was in. Juno saw the closest living thing to her, and launched at it, which was unfortunately Diana.
Cyrus arrived too late. He knew the transformation would take a few days. Once he assumed Juno would be about to turn, he arrived at the Taylor home. Cyrus didn't bother to knock as he heard screams from outside. He barged in and ran into Juno's room where he saw Juno drinking from an already dead Diana.
Cyrus had no time to mourn. He grabbed Juno and fled. The two never went back to London again.

Stiles put a reassuring hand on Juno's shoulder as he watched a tear roll down her cheek. "I-I'm sorry for asking-"
Juno quickly shook her head and wiped the tear away. "It's fine really, you wanted to know what happened and I told you. It took Cyrus a few years to even look me in the eyes after that. That whole thing is kind of the reason why he's kind of distant with strangers, he's never been the same since Diana was gone."
"He seems to be attached to you though," Stiles pointed out.
"I guess it's just him keeping his promise to Diana," Juno sighed. Stiles felt guilty about making Juno upset, so he changed to subject.
"So, do you often change your name?" He asked her.
Juno nodded, "yeah, we never change our surname though. I haven't gone by Juno since 1977, other than that we just choose names common during the time period."
Stiles' eyes widened. "Wait, 1977... That's when Star Wars came out!" He enthused. Juno cracked a smile as Stiles began to geek out. "Did you see it? I heard that George Lucas has changed a bunch and the copy we see today is different from the original, what's changed?"
Juno chuckled, "Jabba was a human," Juno admitted. She laughed as Stiles' jaw dropped, he looked as if his whole world was completely turned upside down.
"No wonder Han called him a wonderful human being..." Stiles muttered. "Wow, you've basically been around for every significant moment in human history!" He exclaimed. Stiles then remembered the photo he found before knowing Juno was a vampire, and a smirk appeared on his face. "And I guess you've also been with a few certain iconic celebrities in the past?" Stiles hinted, winking at Juno.
Juno rolled her eyes, "are you talking about that photo Scott showed me in class once? Trust me, Elvis was needy as hell," Juno teased. Stiles gazed at Juno as she went on about her shenanigans that went on during the 1950s. He felt like he could listen to her for hours, and he probably would do if he kept asking about different parts of history and her view on it.
"You know those songs Can't Help falling In Love and All Shook Up?" Juno asked. Once Stiles nodded, a grin formed on her face, "those were both about me." Juno confessed.
Stiles' jaw dropped, "what?" He asked in disbelief. "No way!"
"And then Devil in Disguise was about me also, after I left him," Juno shrugged. Stiles burst out into laughter, not believing what he was hearing. He leaned back as Juno continued to talk about other icons she had met back in the day. Stiles almost found himself tuning out as he stared at the way her lips moved, when her eyes would widen and she'd hold out her hands when she remembered another detail, ecstatic to share with him.
Stiles knew that Juno was definitely growing on him. Of course it was her captivating beauty that pulled him in at first, then it was her interest in sports. At that point, he thought he knew quite a bit about her, she was somewhat shy around new people, but became an open book once she felt slightly comfortable around someone. Ever since learning she was a Vampire, Stiles felt there was so much more he didn't know about her, and he was right. The tragedy involving her sister, the trouble she got into during the era of classic Hollywood cinema, and he still had about five hundred years worth of her life to learn about to truly understand her. At that point he wasn't worried about understanding Vampires, he wanted to understand Juno Clarke.
Juno trailed off once she noticed Stiles staring at her, his eyes lost in hers. She rolled her eyes and playfully nudged him. "You're not even listening," she whined. She reached into the bag of fast food and pulled out a small box. "Are these the chicken things?" She asked. Juno would never eat human food, but for some reason, Stiles made Juno feel human.
"They're called chicken nuggets, or are you too classy to call them that?" Stiles teased as he sat back upright. He opened the box and quickly snatched one, biting half of it. Juno took one out and did the same. Her eyes widened at the taste.
"No wonder people nowadays don't have healthy diets, they're too busy eating these!" Juno exclaimed as she grabbed another.
"Speaking of food, how do you well... Eat?" Stiles asked, getting back onto the topic of her Vampirism.
"Well, we drink blood obviously. We don't drink them from people though, we could, but Cyrus and I don't really have people who would willingly offer some of their blood to us." Juno explained. "The main reason he works at the hospital is so he can steal blood. I know, it's not good, but we need to eat."
"Don't you kill someone if you drink from them?" Stiles asked, "in like, every Vampire story I know, when a Vampire drinks from someone they like die..."
Juno shook her head, "humans don't just drop dead on the floor once they've donated blood do they?" She asked. "Vampires can bite a human without turning them, and we can drink from them without killing them as long as they have self control. For a bite to make a human turn, they need to drink from a Vampire," Juno explained.
Stiles sighed, "I hate to bring it up again, but if you could drink without killing, how did your sister die?" Stiles asked hesitantly.
"I was a newborn, that's what we call newly turned Vampires. Newborns are vicious, dangerous, hungrier, and harder to control," she said. "They are ruthless killing machines, and will pounce on the first living thing they find."
Stiles hummed, "I guess you could compare them to zombies."
Juno nodded, "that's actually a pretty good way to put it, although newborns are much faster, stronger, and smarter. Newborns only listen to the one who turned them, which is why Cyrus took me. Newborns tend to take a few years before they become normal, one to five depending on how good the training is. A newborn's eyes are red, but when they learn self control, their eyes turn gold," she said.
"The reason why there are no younger Vampires is because of the newborn process. Vampires don't want the responsibility of having to basically 'raise' another Vampire, because if we don't, the newborn will never change, and we would have just let loose a killer. The youngest Vampires tend to be around seventy years old."
Stiles huffed, "man, you guys are complicated."
"Yeah, there's a lot more to us if you want to keep sitting here listening to me ramble," Juno laughed. Stiles would have laughed too, if he weren't genuinely interested in listening to Juno 'ramble'.
He nodded, "go on, I'm listening." Juno was taken by surprise as she looked at Stiles.
"Actually I think I've talked enough. Tell me about all the stuff that's been going on with the dogs- wolves," Juno corrected.
Stiles chuckled, "before I do, I'm guessing the Werewolf and Vampire rivalry is true?"
Juno shook her head, "no that's just Cyrus and I. Back in the eighteen hundreds members of the Hale family picked fights with us because they knew with Vampires. Ever since then we've just been quite childish and held a grudge against Werewolves. I know many Vampires don't actually hate Werewolves, but Werewolves tend to hate us. Besides, the actual rivalry is between Witches and Vampires," Juno sighed.
Stiles put his hands on each cheek in surprise. "Are you kidding me? Witches?" He enthused. "Okay, do you know a chick called Hermione-" Stiles stopped talking once he saw Juno staring at him blankly, giving him a look that just told him to stop. "Right, sorry. Well it all started when this alpha bit Scott, which was Peter. Then we spent a while trying to get rid of that guy and also not get Scott and Derek killed by hunters- Oh yeah, Allison's a hunter by the way..."
"I knew that as soon as I met her, don't worry." Stiles raised an eyebrow in confusion, "I knew the surname," Juno clarified. Stiles wanted to ask Juno more questions, but knew she was probably tired of talking and wanted to hear him talk.
"Then this total douche bag Jackson got bitten but apparently you can take the form of what kind of person you are, and he became a freaking Kanima. We got that out of the way, and now we're currently trying to figure out all of these killings and this stuff about a pack of alpha Werewolves." Stiles explained. He let out a deep sigh after saying all of that in one breath.
"A pack of alphas? I swear, I've been thinking of this a lot, they seriously need to rename this town Beacon Howls," Juno urged. Stiles laughed and said 'nice' as he prompted Juno for a high five.
"But yeah, a pack of alphas. From what you did to Derek you could probably take them all down on your own," Stiles said.
Juno shrugged at the compliment, "I've had over six hundred years to build my strength, not to mention Vampires are stronger than Werewolves," Juno said. Stiles raised an eyebrow, further proving the Werewolf and Vampire rivalry he'd believed. "Well, I'm just being honest!"
Juno sighed as she laid back on the hood of the Jeep, ignoring the discomfort as she looked up at the trees. Stiles did the same, but instead he looked over to Juno. Her blonde curls sprawled across the blue hood, and her deep brown eyes changing to a rich amber as the trees blew, letting the sunlight hit her. She closed her eyes and hummed as the sun beamed down on her. She of course had applied her 'Vampire sunscreen' that morning, so she didn't have to hurry to cover.
Stiles stared in awe as Juno's skin glistened in the sun. Her skin looked as if there were millions of diamonds on her skin, reflecting the sun's light and making her more breathtakingly beautiful than normal. Stiles moved his hand closer to her, wanting to intertwine their fingers. His hand instead made contact with the paper bag, ruining the peaceful silence.
Juno turned her head to look at Stiles, noticing that he was staring at her. She let out a small laugh as she pointed to her sparkling skin. "How Edward Cullen of me," she joked.
Stiles couldn't hold the laugh, even though the joke was terrible. He shook his head and stared back up into the sky. He didn't want to admit it, but he was definitely falling for Juno and her uniqueness. He was convincing himself it was another crush, but deep down he knew Juno had the ability to steal his heart. Juno was feeling just like Stiles, however she was convincing herself her feelings are because of her attraction to his blood.
The two laid on the hood of Stiles' Jeep until the sky turned a mix of reds and oranges in complete utter silence, with Stiles occasionally glancing over at Juno, each time, falling for her a little harder.
