Look, basically, the ponies of Equestria have not experienced war like we have.

Usually that would be considered lucky, but it leaves important lessons untaught.
And not just the famous "Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it." lesson either!

We have had many wars, and still have them. We know about the blurred lines, repression of emotions, poker faces to hide our emotions, and so on.

Ponies, however, don't. They only see things as either black and white, and label who has got to go immediately. They don't see the blurred lines, the manipulation of emotions, and the act of hiding them....... Except Canterlot. You remember what Queen Chrysalis said ;P

Look. We know about Flanders field right? Well, during a tribute being acted out by some of the other students, one part sticked onto my mind it was after they described the trenches.

"Hearing a familiar tune sang in a different language in the enemy trench. Both sides raise a white flag. They meet in the middle of no mans land. They share cigarettes, and swap stories."

This is one of the few times I know of, that cigarettes had a good use.

But the ponies...... They couldn't even get along among themselves............ If anything, that's gonna be a huge opportunity for accidental racism towards other species. Hell, Fluttershy's view on full grown dragons that caused her fear of them is racist!

Look, what I'm saying is, we have had many wars, we know what we are capable of...... We know it's better to forgive than to hold a grudge.......... The ponies don't....
