Outlaws from the series The Fosters - I love this song and wanted a little sappy story kind of like the one in the previous chapter. Enjoy!

Leo sat in the audience, the crowd wasn't that big this night but he knew that Nico would be nervous anyway. He had the weirdest stage fright for someone who performed on stage daily.
Nico was an amazing singer, mostly it was ballads, but recently he had joined a band which was classified as pop punk. A music genre that Nico lived and breathed. Leo was glad that Nico did something he loved, and that he did it even though he was scared. Leo was so impressed by his boyfriend. Leo hadn't come anywhere near his dream, but he tried, because he could see the happiness in Nico's eyes once the fright was over.
Although, Nico had always known he was a singer, he had it in his blood. He had started singing when he was little, the older he got the more he did it. At choir, at home, on school talent shows, in the shower, before sleeping.
Leo didn't know what he was. He was good at most things, but he weren't great at anything. It was different between the two of them, Nico was really good a singing, Leo just was. Not that there was anything wrong with that, it was just.... boring sometimes. Leo wanted the same adrenaline that Nico got from performing.
   A guy came up on stage and tapped the mic softly. The crowd gave a roar. Leo smiles and leaned forward in his seat, show time!
   "Hiya everyone are you ready for some music?!" The guy screamed in the mic sending everyone into a frenzy, "I can't hear you!"
   The crowd went wild and Leo smiled bigger. He loved coming to Nico's show for two things, 1) because he got to see Nico perform, 2) he felt a little bit more alive when he was a part of the crowd.
   "Woah happy to have you all here! I am here to present to you, THE ROCKING, THE SMASHING, THE CRAZY, GIVE IT UP FOR THE SEVEN!!!!"
    Nico entered the stage with his band mates and Leo stood up waving too him. Leo was always in the front, Nico reserved the seat for him so that he never had to worry which was awesome!
   Nico went to the mic, he had black fingerless gloves, a tight v-neck black shirt, skinny jeans with holes a little bit everywhere, and his black hair was messy in a sexy way. For the night he had done some eye makeup and Leo just wanted to drag him off the stage and do naughty things to him.
   "I want you to welcome our newest member, say hello to Piper on the bas!"
   Everyone applauded and whistled. The girl behind the bas played a riff before taking a bow. Her hair was filled with pearls, she had red fingerless gloves, a black cocktail dress with a flannel shirt wrapped around her waist.
   "And of course you guys already know of Frank on the drums!" Frank raised his drum sticks, he had lost some weight since the last show and Leo had to admit that he was just getting handsomer and handsomer, "Jason on the guitar!" The hot blond took a twirl showing off that he was indeed shirtless, "Percy on the keyboard!" The raven haired boy simply waved his hand before winking, Percy had always had a charisma that made it so he didn't have to show off. He was dressed in a similar way to Nico, but his hair was in a Mohawk and he was pierced all over the place. "And our background singers and dancers Annabeth and Hazel!" The two girls bowed, the were like night and day, Hazel with dark skin and dark hair, Annabeth with blonde hair and fair skin. "And I am Nico your singer and we are THE SEVEN!"
   Directly after he said that Frank started banging the drums and the other members played their first song.
   Leo was enchanted with the singing, the dancing, the lights, he couldn't understand that no one had discovered them yet, they were star status already and they didn't even have an album out yet.

In the break when some other band came on to give The Seven a break, Leo joined them behind the stage. The big dude guarding the door looked a little skeptical when Leo wanted to enter but when he showed his ticket the guard just snorted and let him in.
   Leo was used to backstage, he was used to everything being so hectic, to people running around, to people bumping in to him and not even saying sorry afterwards.
   He easily found his way to the room where he band was. The signs made it easy to navigate.
   Out of habit he didn't even knock on the door he just entered, spotted Nico on the couch, went and sat next to him.
   "Hey you can't be in-" Piper stopped talking when Nico pulled Leo down in a kiss, "never mind then."
   "Nico you should for warn people about your boyfriend." Jason sighed and grabbed Piper by the waist before taking her down to sit on his lap.
   "So let me get this straight, Percy and Annie date, Frank and Hazel, Nick and what ever his name is. Are we the only two not dating?"
   "Excuse me I'm not dating seaweed brain!" Annabeth protested, "he is dating Jason, I'm dating Jason's big sister Thalia. The only one single here is you."
  "Ouch burn me more would you?" Piper laughed.
   "Was I okay up there?" Nico asked Leo, the two of them sat entangled on the couch.
   "You were perfect, as always" Leo smiled and kissed Nico's cheek.
   "Any song you want to hear?" Nico asked, even though he hadn't been a part of the original band all of them had the same power.
   "Nah, I just want you to have fun up there," Leo said stroking Nico's hair away from his eyes.
   "Do you know what date it is today?" Nico asked.
   "Day of the dead?" Leo said with hesitation.
   "National chocolate day?" Hazel piped up.
   "The day you lost your virginity?" Percy said in a bored voice as he shooed Piper off of Jason's lap so that he could sit there to cuddle with his boyfriend.
   "Nah he to chicken to lay with Leo, I bet today is the day that Leo grew bored with him but didn't have the heart to break up," Annabeth teased.
   Nico ignored all of them, he had his eyes on Leo only, "today is our anniversary"
   "Ten years today?" Leo asked surprised, how had he forgotten about their anniversary?
   "Wait ten? When did you two start dating?" Piper asked, she sat on the floor next to the armchair that Jason and Percy occupied.
   "I was nine and Nico was eight" Leo answered with a smug face, "and his virginity died a long time ago"
   "Leo!" Nico smacked his arm but quickly pulled him into a kiss.
   "Why aren't the two of you that cute?" Piper questioned Jason and Percy.
   Percy looked like a big baby who had fallen asleep on Jason's shoulder. The only way that they knew he wasn't asleep was because Jason blushed and fiddled with Percy's fingers.
  "We are cute!" Jason said.
   "Nah not like them" Piper pointed out.
   "Percy no don't do that now!" Jason scolded Percy. "Fuck okay fine! How many minutes until we wanted again?"
   "Five but we can sing a couple of songs with out you since Hazel can play the guitar and Annie can the keyboard." Nico smirked, "three doors down to the right"
   Percy stood up and everyone got to see what caused the two of them wanted to have some alone time. They all laughed as the two boys left the room.
   "So we should prepare for stage," Nick pouted and kissed Leo softly on the lips.
   "First date, jail during Christmas got it?" Leo asked standing up.
   "You got it!"

Leo was once again in the crowd, he felt more at peace now after the break.
   Some girls stared at him since he came out on the stage before dropping down to sit seat. He wondered whether or not they could guess who he was dating. They knew Percy and Jason were a thing, but only because Jason had accidentally kissed Percy during a ballad.
   Nico and the others (except for the two boys in their own room) entered the stage. Nico gave a peace sign.
   Hazel and Annabeth started playing their instruments, and then Nico started singing.
   He sang Outlaws but in a more pop punk way than the original. He sounded amazing.
   Piper and Frank came in after a while and it was magical.
   This version was way better than the one they had heard during their first date in jail.
   Now it was a funny story really. They both went to the same school, Leo had to retake a year so they were actually in the same class. Now even though they had been together since they were eight/nine they didn't have a proper date until they were sixteen. Mostly because who knows what a real date is when they're little? In the beginning they had said that they started dating at sixteen but both of their mothers shook their head and said eight/nine. There hadn't been any kissing but there had been a lot of sleepovers and whenever Leo or Nico had to leave the other it had caused huge fights. But we are getting away from the story. So at sixteen their class went to a zoo for a field trip. Neither of them cared so as soon as the counting was done and the tour started they sneaked away.
   Close to the zoo was this run down bar, they went in there, bought their first beers because the bartender didn't even ask what age they were, they had money so he served them.
   At their second beer shit started happening. The bar wasn't full since it was almost eleven in the morning but there was a biker gang there. The boys had no idea how it played out but the biker gang started fighting and one thing led to another. Soon the place was trashed, both of them had punched guys twice their age. The bartender had called the police when the glasses started sailing through the air, he was probably the smartest of them all.
   Leo was punching a guy who came for Nico when the police stormed in. The police took everyone and didn't even care to question them until they arrived at the station.
   Since Nico and Leo were the youngest they got their own cell. Leo rang their teacher to let them know what had happened but said that things were taken care off. Nico called his father who was a lawyer, the problem was that Hades was out of town and could come first the next morning.
   The police was nice to them and let them just sit in there until the evening. During the day they got a deck of cards, they got questioned about what happened and a scolding for running away from the zoo.
   As evening came the shift changed and the new female cop wanted to hold them longer since they had done underage drinking. So Nico got to call his father again to let him know that he still had to come to bail them out.
   Then they just sat there, together, holding hands like they always did. Outlaws started playing in the distance, the female cop had a thing for The Fosters and used to watch it during her shifts if it was a quite one.
   When the song came again forty minutes later Leo asked Nico up to dance and they slow danced in their cell.
   It was romantic, ironic, a little scary, but kind of a funny story.
   That's why it meant so much to Leo that Nico sang it right now.
   That and the fact that Nico basically eye-fucked him from the stage.
   "Ay can you guys help Leo Valdez up to the stage?! Nico asked the guards after the song ended.
   A big guy came up to Leo, lifted him as if he weighed the same as cotton candy, and placed him on the stage. Nico took his hand and led him to the middle of the stage.
   "Everybody, this amazing guy have been my boyfriend since we were little," the girls that had stared before bulked now, "and that song meant a lot to us which is why I thought it was a perfect opportunity to do this."
    Before everybody Nico went down on one knee and held up a small silver ring with engraved skulls on it, "Leo Valdez, would you like to marry me?"
   Leo didn't answer he just fell down on his knees and kissed Nico.
