HEY; You may think it's a happy chapter but... um, well, I'm sorry.

BUT guess what? Something I haven't done in a while: sexual content warning ooo ;)

Infinity - The XX

"You know what's kind of sad?"

"What?"

"Having to move back." I said with a sigh as I unpacked the last suitcase into our wardrobe. It'd taken two days to get all of our clothes back into our house. Amelia is doing absolutely fine from when Mike and I went to see her yesterday; her beautiful hazel eyes looked just like John's. Amy still hasn't woken up yet and I still wasn't allowed to see her. John hadn't left Amy's side except to come down to hold his baby girl. Witnessing John fawn all over her, I just knew that he was going to watch that girl like a hawk when she gets older. The guy had stars in his eyes. Imagine what he'll be like when she goes on her first date! He'll whip out his fangs in a second.

"It'll be quiet now. No vampires running around our house."

Michael rubbed his hand over his bare chest. "I know."

"And I really can't see Amy for four days?" I frowned.

"Unless you want your best friend to bite your head off. It'll be a while, she'll be drinking human blood for the first few months so being around you will be a bit hard. She woke up today."

My eyes widened and I paused by our freshly changed sheets. "She... What?"

"I went to see the baby but she was-"

"Wait." I sat at the edge of the bed. "You what? How does she look? What... What's she like?"

Michael smiled as he settled beside me. "She's absolutely gorgeous, Evie."

"Oh yeah? Interested now?" I teased.

"Even if I was, that girl has eyes for John and John only. John is her maker after all. She was a bit sketchy with me at first but it didn't take long before she squeezed me to death. Almost broke my arm." He chuckled. "She's coping, hasn't been out in the day yet because Kate's making her a ring but she's feeding tonight."

"Wow. And what about Amelia when can she see her?"

"Celia said tomorrow evening. Ana has her at the moment." Mike said. "Amy's fine, Evie."

I released a long sigh and let my head fall back onto the mattress. "So that's one less thing to worry about."

"Amy's alive, technically." He lay beside me. "And how are you with being home?"

"I feel... Kind of good you know? I mean I'm sad to leave but I like how it's you and me again and we won't have to worry about a wandering vampire hearing us." I winked.

Michael smiled and rolled onto his stomach beside me. "I won't miss that."

"I definitely won't. I'm pretty certain Callum heard us once. I came out of our room and Callum was actually blushing when he saw me. He tried to play it off by offering me food."

"Oh yeah, I remember hearing him say that. Poor guy." His hand skimmed along my forearm before he cupped my cheek. "His fault though."

"What're you doing?" I wondered suddenly.

His other hand curled under and around my waist to pull me closer. "What?"

I rested my hands on his shoulders as he aligned our bodies. I had to smile at a certain part of his body resting by my hip. "It's two o'clock in the afternoon and it's like eighty degrees."

"I want to christen our bed all over again, honey."

"You're honeying me? Well somebody wants to get laid."

"Somebody," he started as his fingers skimmed along my cheek. "Hasn't had sex in private for a few months."

"We moved to John's because you wanted to."

"We moved because I thought it was best you be around people. But now we're home again and I plan on christening our bed, maybe the carpet, probably the wall and definitely the shower."

"A vampires stamina continues to impress me." I glanced at his mouth. "Choose a place, Michael."

A cute frown marred his features as he angled me beneath him. His pupils had been widening for a few minutes now and now they almost filled the entire green of his iris. "A place?"

"Well, we still don't have food in the house and I need to go shopping. What?"

He was already shaking his head. "We'll order takeout."

"Sweetie," I pressed a lingering kiss to the corner of his mouth and then to his jaw as I breathed, "Baby, I am a grown woman with errands to run. As much as I'd love to stay in this house and let you do whatever you wish with me I have to get the groceries and call the mechanic about the air conditioning. So do you want to have sex on the bed? The carpet? The shower? I haven't got all day, I'm picking Christian up at half four."

A scowl quickly made its way onto his features at the mention of Christian. "I'm still not fond of him."

"Why's that? He's proven himself ten times over, are you jealous?" I teased squeezing his cheek.

"I'm far from jealous. You just spend more time with him than with me."

I raised a brow. "That means you're jealous."

He paused obviously realising what he'd just said and I started laughing beneath him. Michael rolled onto his back as I continued to laugh. "Mike," I swung my leg over and sat and straddled his thighs. "You know Christian is almost a family member now. Think of him as my illegitimate half-brother that's only recently been thrown into the picture. Trust me he's harmless."

"As harmless as me?" He parted his lips to show his sharpened fangs. His eyes darkened completely and I gasped at the tremendous speed he used to flip us over so he was settled between my open legs.

It's like he tries to scare me sometimes. But I was so used to it now I barely batted an eyelid. "Maybe a little less harmless compared to you."

In Michael's playful state I didn't know what to expect. And I absolutely loved it. I'd missed our days like these; the playful teasing, sometimes a little annoying Michael that I adored and loved.

He stopped my hand from touching his face and held it above his head. "You're saying I'm less of a threat to you than Christian?"

I shrugged knowing now that I was adding fuel to the fire. "You wouldn't do anything to hurt me, would you Reeves?"

He narrowed his heavy gaze at me as he stopped my other hand from touching his face, adding them to rest above my head. His black hole of a stare remained on me for what felt like an eternity. He was so obviously planning something. I didn't have a clue what but I was excited. And I knew he knew I was because the beat of my heart could probably be heard by a passing deer.

"Imagine if I could compel you," He started in a low voice lowering his lips to feather along my jaw. I arched my neck upward to allow him more access and sighed. "I'd compel you not to move a muscle and you wouldn't be able to. You'd have to lie there whilst I pleasure you."

I closed my eyes when his spare hand ran along my bare leg and along my naked stomach. I'd gone for a jog around twelve so I was only in my sports bra and a pair of shorts. His mouth trailed an evil line along my throat before licking at the dip near my collar bone. My hands balled into fists at the onslaught of heat radiating from him, from the sun searing through our window and from the pit of my stomach.

"But I can't can I?" He murmured. I shivered as his breath blew along the wet spot on my neck. "So I'll have to improvise instead. Take off this... thing." His finger slid underneath the elastic of the sport bra. "It's only hiding what I want to play with."

Have mercy.

He was across the room within a millisecond and I was left on the bed flushed and a little breathless. I sat up and watched as he went through his drawers to pull out one of his trusty tie and... "A blindfold?"

Michael's eyes were still a midnight black as he turned to me and grinned. "Yes,"

"What're you planning?"

"Something we'll both enjoy. Lose a sense, it'll strengthen the others. I told you to take it off." He said pointedly.

"Did Micah-"

"Micah suggested nothing." He closed his drawer and turned. "Take it off, Evangeline."

I rolled my eyes at his insistence and pulled my sports bra off leaving me bare from the waist up. He approached the bed like a lion stalking its prey and eyed me with a hooded stare. "Thank you."

I allowed him to place the blindfold over my eyes, already heightening my awareness around room. I felt his warm fingers guide me back to the cool cotton sheets and let him join my wrists above my head only to bind them. Within the room all I could hear was my breathing and the sound of Michael moving off the bed.

Silence shrouded my ears as I waited patiently. I didn't have a clue what this man was up to but it only reminded me that there will never ever be a day where I won't be sexually attracted to him. He could still get my heart racing, still have me shaking with anticipation and want.

The hell was he doing anyway?

"Mike?" I said. "What-"

"When was the last time I fed from you?" He said from what sounded like across the room.

I swallowed. "I don't know, a few months ago maybe."

I must be the only human that's had three different vampires feed from them and live.

"Hmm." His voice was closer now.

Was he really proving a point or was this one big sexual game he was playing. If he was proving a point then prove away. He could bite me all he wanted he was still harmless to me.

I tensed at the sudden coolness of his hands on my warm skin. Compared to a moment ago they were now as cool as ice and I had to wonder why that was. I didn't dare ask as he trailed his fingers along my rib cage. I exhaled a shaky breath when he skimmed a finger beneath the curve of my breast and focused my attention on keeping my tied hands above my head. He could turn the heat up from zero to one hundred with barely a skim of his hand.

"Lift your hips."

I did as I was told and allowed him to slip off my shorts and underwear. I was naked under his gaze now and I couldn't stop the blush sweeping over my cheeks as the silence rang throughout my ears once again.

Before long, his torturous skims of the hand along my skin and the light cool breaths I felt against my chest were driving me to the brink of insanity. The ball of lust in my stomach knotted and bounced within me when I felt his lips open against the hardened tip of my nipple whilst his fingers drew a fiery circle over the sensitive nub above my opening. Heaven help me. Pleasure gripped me in its wake as he continued his evil game, nipping at the side of my breast and using his spare hand to massage the other.

"Mike, stop it now." I begged in a raspy voice.

"Stop what?"

"You're taking too long."

"Am I?"

I huffed a frustrated sigh and went to lower my hands but his large one trapped them above my head. "Michael." The fact I couldn't see anything added to my frustration. "Mike-"

"It'll get better." And with those gruff words whispered suddenly by my inner thigh, he opened his mouth and I felt the pinch of his fangs pierce the skin. I released a moan, the small flinch of pain masked by the pleasure soaring through my insides. He released my wrists to hold my hips down which effectively stopped me from squirming beneath him. My breaths became shallow and that familiar feeling of euphoria hazed my thoughts.

I heard his muffled groan against my leg before he released and darted his tongue against the wound. His fingers touched over two spots of the wound - I assumed he used his blood to seal the bite - before he was hovering over me and holding my wrists again.

"Open your mouth." He said hoarsely.

I parted my lips and felt his thumb rub along my lower lip. I swallowed the blood pouring from the cut on his thumb and licked the closing graze. He fused our mouths together in a passionate kiss as I started to feel the effects of his blood take affect. My hearing becoming just that tiny bit more acute, the swipe of his tongue across mine as he continued to devour my soul feeling ten times better than it would if his blood wasn't working its way through my system.

His kiss became urgent all of a sudden as he ripped off the blindfold. I blinked for a few seconds and couldn't help but giggle when he reached above me to tear the tie from my wrists. "Taking too long?" I teased.

"A little." He grunted. I gasped as his fingers slid across my heated opening over and over. My vision cleared and the sight of Michael's hungry gaze brought a lopsided smile to my face. "What're you smiling at?"

I wrapped my legs around his waist as he settled his body over mine. "Your poor attempt to show you're more of a threat than Christian. Or any other vampire for that matter. Just because I roll around in the sheets with you doesn't mean you're more dangerous than any of them." I looked down between our bodies - he was sheathed and ready to go - and back to his black stare. "Now, love me up real good before I have to spend the rest of the day grocery shopping."

The green of his eyes returned when I finished speaking and I held his lustful gaze when he slowly filled me with the swollen length of him. A very boyish smile lit his face. "Don't doubt that I will for a second, Dimples."

"What?" I demanded at Callum's flushed face and Christian's chuckling. For some particular reason the two of them had become good buddies since Christian had arrived. So I wasn't that surprised to see Callum come out of Ana's house with Chris half hour ago.

Although I knew Callum had been keeping an especially close eye on Ana since Amelia was born. Ana wasn't looking the same since I saw her at John's. And I could see others noticing now.

"Why are you blushing, Cal." I demanded once again as I paused in the frozen food section of Walmart. "You've been looking at me like that since I picked you up."

"No reason, I swear." He insisted but it was so obvious he knew. Even Christian was giving me the shake of the head. "You just look... healthy."

I scowled at the chuckling men and stormed through the next aisle with the cart. "Stupid British vampires." I grumbled. They quickly caught up with me with huge smiles on their faces. "What now? Are you both going to tease me?"

"Nah, promise." Christian said. "I wasn't going to anyway."

"I'm not." Cal held his hands up in defence.

I grabbed a box of frozen Eggo waffles and sneered at them both. "My sex life is neither of your business. We're all friggin' adults." I grumbled as I picked another. My phone vibrated in my jean shorts pocket. "Can you both just make yourselves useful and get the rest of the stuff on the list while I get this?"

I pulled my phone out when they disappeared and cringed at the name. So, I may have cowardly left a pitiful voicemail on Chelsea's phone yesterday evening saying that Amy may have given birth to a baby girl and named her Amelia. In my defence I'd tried calling the actual day Amy had given birth to tell her but she didn't answer and when she'd tried calling me back I was preoccupied with Amelia anyway.

I knew if I were Amy I would want Chelsea to know so my words were: "Hey, Chelsea long time no speak! Hope your exams are going well at Columbia! So listen, I know you found out about Amy being pregnant so I have good news. She gave birth yesterday to a beautiful baby girl. Her names Amelia Georgia Harris; nice ring to it um, right? So anyway, give me a call when you can, I love you and I'll explain everything-" And then I was cut off before I could finish.

So now, Chelsea calling me meant she'd so obviously heard the voicemail and was currently free to yell at me or un-friend me. I looked around the empty aisle and slid my phone across the screen to answer it. "Hi."

There was complete silence over the line and it almost felt like I could feel her pain through the speaker. She didn't need to say anything, I had a feeling what she could possibly be thinking right now.

"Have I... I don't know, have I done something wrong to you both?" I heard her say weakly.

I could already feel my eyes stinging at her words. Someone may as well plunge their hand into my chest and rip my heart out because that's what it felt like right now.

"Chels, you haven't done-"

"I know you've known each other a little longer than you have me but... I don't know what to say anymore, Evie. She didn't tell me she was pregnant I had to find out by pretending to be the pizza delivery guy. She's been ignoring my calls, getting a hold of you has been like trying to call the president; It's been impossible."

"Chelsea-" I tried again but she kept going.

"It kind of hurts, you know."

I clutched a fistful of hair and shut my eyes. "These past few months have been hard on Amy and me and it's just been hard to... to-"

"Why? Why has it been hard on you? Amy's the one that was pregnant, she's the one with a baby now. Why have the past few months been hard on you?"

This was it right? Where I tell her how Amy and I live in a completely different world to her. How all of our lives are being threatened by a vampire almost as old as a tree - trees are so old. Where Chelsea will finally be introduced into this wonderful world Amy and me have tried our damnedest to keep her out of.

Right? Wrong.

"It's just been rough with finals and worrying about Amy. She's okay, she's recovering in the hospital at the moment so she hasn't really been on her phone much. I'll send you a picture of Amelia when I next see her. Please, trust me Chelsea. Please. You haven't done anything wrong. I miss you so much and so does Amy. Promise me you'll give her time."

"You know I'm no good with time, Red. I have to go. We'll speak soon." And before I could reply she hung up.

I knew Chelsea wasn't one to sit around and wait. She took things as they went, always the one to charge in head first without thinking. So I wasn't none to surprised by her cryptic answer. I hadn't a clue what it meant, whether she'll call either of us nonstop or cut us out completely. I didn't want her cut to us out. But if that's what it meant to keep her safe right now, I'll have to let it be and let her decide the next move.

I found Callum and Christian already putting all of the items by checkout. Callum frowned. "You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I forced a smile. "Thanks for getting the stuff. Are we ready?"

Callum nodded his head knowing when not to overstep a line and started away with most of the bags toward my car. But Christian just stared at me. He, on the other hand, always overstepped the line. He took the other third of the bags leaving me with a few and followed beside me to my car.

"Is it your friend, that Chelsea girl?" He asked softly.

I chewed the corner of my lip before giving him a stiff nod. "It's hard to lie to a friend."

"I understand. But in the long run, she'll be safer this way. Don't feel guilty about it, Evangeline."

"I finally have one less thing to worry about and now I have Chelsea."

"She's safe in New York. You don't have to worry about her at all. You don't even have to worry about Florence for a while she's gone off everyone's radar."

I frowned. "What does that mean?"

"It means she's not in Vancouver right now. My sister and Nate followed her scent through Seattle all the way to Boise, Idaho. She ran."

"I don't believe she's run for a second." I muttered piling the bags into the trunk of the car. "She'll be back. She's recouping from seeing you."

Christian raised a dark brow. "You know her better than you think."

"I've had a lot of time to know her." I said. "Too much time."

After dropping off the groceries at the house with the both of them, Mike left a note saying he was at Ana's so when I dropped them off I followed them up the path to her front door. Mike was sat in the living room holding Amelia with Kate beside him, her eyes closed and lightly snoring. Christian sat at the armchair with a brisk nod to Michael. I went to join them but Callum grabbed my slightly bruised wrist to stop me.

I pinned him with a questioning glance but he didn't answer. Instead, he lead me through the living room, the kitchen and out to the garden. I frowned at Callum for a minute before he went back inside shutting the door behind him. I glanced around the garden and paused at the figure on the bench swing at the end of the yard. Slowly, I approached but I felt my steps falter slightly.

This morning had been wonderful. Being back with Michael in our house finally felt normal. The realisation that I didn't have to worry about Amy or Florence right now made me feel even better.

But in actual fact I did have something to worry about. I had the biggest thing to worry about. I brought my hands to my mouth and blinked away my tears.

"Don't look at me like I'm breaking, dear." She said with a soft smile. "I'm only getting older."

Had anyone seen her? They must not have. Or they wouldn't all be inside right now whilst Ana sat out here. She didn't look like this two days ago, no. She truly looked like somebody's grandmother now. Her newly salt and pepper hair was braided and resting over her shoulder.

"Have... have they seen you?"

She shook her head. "They don't know I'm here. Kate was here when you picked up the boys so someone has always been here looking after Amelia. They think I've gone to visit Micah's mother."

I sat beside her with a deep frown and took her frail hands within mine. "You can't keep it from them anymore, Ana. They all deserve to know."

"They will know in a few days."

My heart faltered a step and I felt my blood run cold. "Anastasia. A few days?"

She patted my hand. "I have more than a few days left, sweetie I promise. But you're right I can't keep hiding it from them. Christian and Jackie have been very nice, making me comfortable and helping me around the house. Those two are a lovely pair. At this moment in time, Amy is the focus and so is Amelia. Katherine's mother knows but Kate and Sam don't. Oh, Evie, honey don't cry." She pulled my head down to rest on her shoulder as I allowed the silent tears to roll down my cheeks.

"Do you know how happy I am to have lived this long? To have met Michael and John in the twentieth century? I'm so hapy to see my two boys find love in you and Amy. And to see my daughter, her daughter and Katherine and Sam grow up to what they are today. I've lived my life." She concluded. Ana's hands cupped my face and brought my face up to look at her. "I love Michael as if he were my son and I love you as if you were a daughter. I've thanked you before but not like this."

"This sounds like a goodbye." I croaked.

"Because it is our official goodbye, my darling. I won't have another opportunity to say any of this to you again. So listen carefully to me, okay? The future isn't set. You fear for your friends' and families lives and you're right to because not even I can tell you their fate. You were forced to grow up into more of an adult at eighteen than a lot of normal eighteen year olds. You are strong, Evie don't you forget that. Michael will know about me tonight and I need you to be strong for him."

My heart broke even more. Michael won't be the same.

"He needs you more now than he ever has before." She stroked my cheek. "As for whether you want children, I personally think of it as your choice. You won't get a chance after you've turned so it's best to decide sooner rather than later. Oh, also... make sure to kick Florence's ass okay?"

I smiled weakly at her before allowing her to hug me. I cried for what felt like an eternity. My heart broke over and over as she lightly swayed the bench. Callum came outside minutes later and told me to wait by my car. Obviously my first question was why until I saw Michael standing by the window with blankest expression I'd ever seen.

He'd heard. What will he say about me knowing? Will Ana explain?

Callum waited by my car with me as the sky gradually darkened. Michael hadn't taken his car here so it was up to me to drive him home even in my state. After twenty minutes, Callum and I realised it would be a far longer talk with him than it was with me so we waited inside my car with the radio lightly filling the silence. He went ahead and explained that he and Christian had known she wanted to speak with me before we'd even left for Walmart. I cried again and Callum silently held my hand.

An hour had passed and I started to feel the fatigue of the day catch up with me. I was exhausted. So many different emotions within one day. Callum raised my palm to his mouth in a kiss before he exited the car without a word. And then Michael was taking his place. I eyed him carefully, his eyes were red and his mouth was pursed into thin line. I didn't utter a word as I drove back to our house.

And that's how it stayed until we settled at the edge of our unmade bed and Michael burst into tears for his second mother. It pained me to see him like this. How broken his sobs were, how defeated he was. I made a silent promise to Ana that I would be strong for him and I will be. I held him whilst he cried, I got him undressed and into bed beside me, I let him bury his face in my neck and wrap his arms around my waist when he cried that little bit more. I even stayed awake and waited for him to sleep before following afterwards.

What a complete turn around for a day. One step forward just to take another two back.

So, yeah. I shed a tear writing that speech for Ana. And even writing Michael that vulnerable hurt. Sorry for the turn around but I must get the story moving.

Don't forget to drop a comment.
