Eighteen
Olivia's POV:
"Of course she would pick this place." I mutter as the four of us cautiously looked around, our footsteps echoing at each step we took. "She could be anywhere."
A wave of my nerves stirred in my gut, afraid of the fact that Kate could be hiding in the shadows and waited for the opportunity to strike.
My eyes trail over to the broken down tables and knocked over chairs along with the plastic dropcloths that draped over several wooden beams.
A slight breeze caused the drapes to flow along with the wind which earned a slight shiver escape from Allison's lips. "Is it me or did it just get colder?"
"I could warm you up." I suggest but her eyes widen in shock. Oh god, that sounded so wrong. "That's not what I meant! I-I meant like I can form a small flame a-and—"
"I'll be fine." Allison interrupted before picking up her pace to walk closer to her dad who was a bit ahead of us.
"Wow." I look over to Scott and see he held a sympathetic expression. "That was..."
"Awkward. I know." I grumble and shove my hands in my pockets.
"I was going to say the word you usually say at times like those."
I raise a brow. "Which is?"
"Wanky."
I sarcastically smile and hold my finger out, revealing a small flame. "Keep laughing and I'll burn your eyebrows off."
"You shouldn't have come." A woman's voice echoed around the building which caused the four of us to stop. Argent cautiously looked around the building with his eyebrows furrowed while Allison slowly attached an arrow to her crossbow.
"Kate," Scott spoke up first as the four of us continued to walk. "I'm here for Violet. I need to talk to her."
"I knew you'd find me," A large silhouette, of who I presumed to be Kate, forms on the plastic dropcloth a couple of yards away which caused Argent to aim his gun towards her. "but I was hoping we could do this later." She begins to walk closer which caused her shadow to shrink but two of the Berserkers silhouettes emerged from the side and followed behind her. "I just...needed a little more time."
"For what?" Argent snapped, never taking his stares away.
She drags her visible claws across the plastic dropcloth. "To learn control." She harshly moves the dropcloth away from her to finally reveal her blu-ish-purple patterned skin along with her glowing bright green eyes that practically stared into my soul. This was the woman in my vision. She's Kate? "Lower the gun, we walk away, and you and Allison don't have to get hurt."
"Oh my god." Allison muttered under her breath as her eyes scanned over her aunt.
Kate's eyes lock with mine. "We meet again, Ms. Flores."
"Where's Violet?" Scott spoke up again but the only thing that could be heard was the clatter of bones that came from the Berserkers.
"Put the gun down, Chris." She threateningly snarled.
The Berserkers step push aside the cloth to reveal themselves and I felt my hands begin to heat up. "I'm not in the mood for this. Either tell us where she is or it's going to get ugly." I remark and tilt my head a bit which caused it to crack.
"Olivia." Allison scolded but I kept my hardened gaze to Kate.
The Berserkers charge forward first and Chris instantly opened fire, the sound of bullet casings clattering to the floor.
"No, no, no. Stop!" Scott tried to shout over the noise but Chris let out a battle cry as he aimed to one of the Berserkers close to him.
My hands instantly ignite and I sprint towards the other Berserker, blocking his punch with my arm before attempting to kick its abdomen. However, I regretted it almost immediately since it felt like I practically kicked a wall.
I try to take a step back but its hand grabbed ahold of my ankle and harshly throws me to the side, causing me to crash through a series of wooden walls.
Before I could push myself up, it grabs me by the shirt and holds its dagger-shaped bone close to my heart with a growl.
However, a chair slams against its side which caused the Berserker to release its hold and a moment for me to crawl away.
I turn and see Allison holding broken pieces of the chair which caused me to roll my eyes before I pushed myself off the ground.
"Silent treatment? Really?" She huffed before she tossed the pieces aside and detached her daggers from her belt. "A 'thank you for saving my ass' would've been nice, you know."
I watch as the Berserker shakes its head a bit before it pushed itself off the ground. "I don't need your help." I spat and flick my wrists, my eyes widening that not a single spark of the flame appeared. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me." I groan before charging forward to the Berserker, attempting to swing a punch but it catches my fist and crushed my fingers instantly which caused me to let out a cry of pain.
Allison tries to stab through its neck but it easily backhands her, sending her to roll across the floor as her dagger clattered to the floor.
I glare at the Berserker and instantly my hands under its hold erupt into flames, causing it to trail across its arms which earned a loud screech that echoed around the building.
It picks me up from the floor and throws me to crash another wall, sending me to a dark room away from the chaos.
I painfully clutch onto my abdomen but instantly see the smeared blood trail. My eyes hesitantly follow the trail and as soon as I see where it led to, it felt as if my whole world was crashing down.
In the middle of the room was Violet who had been bound to the chair, but her body was practically mauled to death from either Kate or by the Berserkers.
My one chance for saving Phoebe...it was gone. She's going to die because I couldn't save her.
It was all because of Kate.
I angrily clench my fists, feeling them burn in the palm of my hands and storm over through the hole I had been thrown into, seeing the Berserker in the middle of a fight with Allison.
It reaches to grab ahold of her but my hand clasped onto its arm, forcing it to retract back which caused its head to snap towards my direction.
"Olivia?" Allison nervously whispered but I ignored it and swing a punch at the Berkserker's head which sent the creature to collapse against the wooden table a couple of feet away from us.
A loud roar practically shakes the floor and the Berkserker quickly gets up from the floor, marching over to where Kate had already been walking off with the other Beserker in tow.
"Get back here! We're not done yet!" I yell and aim my hands for a fireblast.
I feel a pair of hands hold my arm to prevent me to move any further. "Olivia, stop it!" Scott scolded but I tried to fight his grips. "Get ahold of yourself!"
"Why should I? She took away our one chance of saving Phoebe and Liam and you're just going to let her walk away?" I angrily growl, the flames in my hands burning brighter than before. "Let me finish this!"
He leaned closer to a whisper. "No, because this isn't you. I know you would regret it in the future, especially if you do it in front of her." He pointed behind us and I follow his line of vision, seeing that Allison was helping Chris up from the floor, tilting his head to the side to check his wounds. "Would you really murder someone that's still apart of their family?"
Allison turns her head and locked eyes with me as she held a worried expression.
As much as I hate to admit it, he was right.
I feel the flames disintegrate from my hands and I feel my eyes brim with tears, but he quickly wraps his arms around me as I cried in his arms. "I'm sorry." I whisper as he rubbed circles around my back. "I just...I said some things to Phoebe I never should have said. I was such a bitch to her."
"There's still time." We both look up and see Chris' arm wrapped around Allison's neck in support as she helped him stand. "We'll find them."
Phoebe's POV:
"Please tell me we're a good couple of feet away from the bottom." I grunt and lift my foot to another rock, pushing myself a bit higher along with Liam who copied my movements beside me. "My legs are beginning to feel numb. I-I don't know if I can make it."
"We're almost there. " He said with frustration before he let out fits of coughs.
I worriedly glance over and see his foot beginning to slip from the rock. "Liam?"
He didn't answer but the sight of his eyes glowing yellow caused my eyes to widen in shock as he let out a loud roar, causing me to lose my balance from the rock and my hands to slip.
"Liam!"
His hand quickly latches onto my wrist, using his one free hand to hold us up as I practically dangled. "Hold on Phoebe!"
I nervously look down and see the drop, realizing that this was our last chance to make it out. If we fell off again, who knows if the poison by then would kill us both.
"We're almost there." He grunted as he adjusted the grip on my wrist, but I felt his grip begin to slip. "I just need to—"
He has to let go or else we're both doomed.
"Liam, you need to let me go." I interrupt, feeling my eyes begin to brim with tears but his eyes widen in shock. "It's either you escape or we're both going to die."
"You're insane! I'm not going to drop you!" He scolded but his grip slid to the point he held only my hand along with his hand slowly sliding off the rock. "Ugh!"
"Just tell Olivia I forgive her, okay? And that I love her mom and my dad." I pleaded but he shook his head and fearfully looked up, taking notice of his hand sliding off. "Liam!"
His hand finally releases but another hand grabs ahold of his wrist and it was almost as if a weight lifted off my chest.
"Hold on guys." Scott grunted as he quickly pulled Liam, finally getting a better grip on his forearm to pull him up.
Another pair of hands reach in, revealing Olivia's relieved filled expression once she locked eyes with me. "I got you, Phoebe." She whispered and grabbed ahold of my other hand, quickly pulling me out of the well until she had the both of us collapse to the dirt.
My eyes widen in realization, hearing her correctly say my name. "Olivia—"
She interrupts by unexpectedly pulling me into a tight embrace. "It's all my fault." She shakily whispered. "I regret everything I said to you. When I found out Garrett kidnapped you two, I spent the entire day looking for you and started to lose hope that I wouldn't be able to find you."
"But you did." I pull away and see her tear-filled eyes. I move a couple of strands of her hair away from her face. "You found us."
"I'm sorry for never giving you the chance. Can we start over?"
"It's going to take time," I offer my hand with a small smile. "but I'm Phoebe Jimenez. Your half-sister."
Olivia's POV:
I watch as Deaton made a medium-sized incision on Liam's chest which caused a puff of yellow smoke to escape. His chest rises briefly until it finally relaxes on the examination table.
Scott worriedly places the back of his hand on Liam's head to check his temperature before moving it away, never tearing his stares away from him. "I don't want to keep watching people die."
I glance worriedly to Phoebe who had fallen asleep on Allison's shoulder in the waiting room since I didn't want her watching just in case Liam's wolfed out on us. Allison carefully placed a blanket over the two of them with a small smile.
"I'm not sure you have much choice about that." Chris spoke up from the other side of Liam.
"Maybe we do." I move my stare away and turned to face them.
Deaton furrowed his eyebrows. "That's a lot of burden to carry, Olivia."
"I don't care. Phoebe wasn't on the list and she still got attacked because it was an advantage to use against me." I pointed to myself.
"No one else dies." Scott spoke up and I look over to meet his eyes. "Everyone on that list. Everyone on that deadpool. It doesn't matter if they're wendigos, or werewolves, or whatever. We're gonna save everyone."

"It took a while, but I think I don't smell like moss anymore." Phoebe says as she walked inside our room while she dried her hair with a towel, shutting the door behind her. "Whatever that veterinarian gave me, I can feel my legs again. His name was Deaton, right?"
I was sitting on my bed with the duffel bag in front of me and nodded my head in response. "Yeah, it was."
She looks over to me and her eyes widen slightly. "Did you...?"
"Not yet." I mumble but gesture for her to sit on my bed. "I was waiting for you to get out of the shower and see if you wanted to help me."
The corners of her lips perk a bit. "Really? Okay sure."
I turn the duffel bag over and dump the money into a pile as she sat down across from me. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and reached over to the side, picking up a clear cassette tape that was labeled 'play me'.
"I have an old cassette player my grandparents gave me. Hold on." She stands up from her spot and quickly walked over to her drawers, digging inside before she pulled out the device.
She takes out the old cassette that was already inside and inserted the new one, shutting the cover before she clicked the play button.
"After entering the IP address, you will be connected through a Darknet portal to an untraceable bank. Once logged in, enter your account number to receive wire transfers. The IP address will deactivate with each transfer. You will be assigned a new IP address if you choose to continue down the list. Remember, visual confirmation is always required for payment."
Phoebe pauses the tape and hesitantly meets my gaze, placing the stacks of cash she counted in a separate pile. "You ever made a wire transfer?"
"No, because I didn't understand a single thing he said. Have you?"
"Of course not." She worriedly glances behind her and whispered, "Why would Garrett and Violet go through the trouble for money just to murder innocent people?"
Someone wants us dead. "I don't know." I mutter and start to stick the cash inside the duffel bag.
"What are you doing?"
"It's late. I have the SATs in the morning and—"
"No, I meant the money." She gestured to the bag. "The two-hundred-fifty thousand dollars? We're just going to ignore the fact that you're gonna simply just put it back in your closet?"
"Phoebe, it's not even mine. It belongs to my friends...well, one of them is my friend since the other sort of scares me." I say, not wanting to talk about Derek and Peter.
"What if we kept only some of it? Enough to at least cover for another car for your mom." She said and I hesitantly glance over to the duffel bag. "Think about it. It doesn't even have to be a brand new fancy car. Just one that runs well and has four seats."
Before I could answer, several knocks tap on our door and I quickly toss the bag in my closet while Phoebe quickly shoves the cassette player under my bed. "Come in!" I call out as Phoebe acted as if she was brushing out her hair.
The door opens slightly and my mom peeks her head in with a stern expression. "Why are you two up? It's already midnight and you two have the SATs early in the morning."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and look over to Phoebe. "You have to take it too?"
She shrugged. "My counselor from my old school recommended it to the counselor here so I thought why not."
"Of course you would get the smart genes."

A/N:
Hello again! So i have another question regarding to the next book, would you guys want Phoebe to have a love interest and if so with who?
By the way, it cannot be with Scott, Lydia, Malia, or Stiles LMAO I'm sticking to what Jeff Davis wrote them as ((even tho to this day, it confuses me on why they set up Malia and Scott together dhdjshd))
Or if you want Phoebe to remain single, then that's completely okay! I'll stick to writing Allison and Olivia.
That's all I have for you guys today! I hope you had/have an amazing day so...bye!
