Also known as Sun Wukong, the Monkey King is the quintessential trickster character of Chinese myth. Born from a stone, he gets super-powers from practicing Taoism, but he's a rebellious little guy, so the Buddha imprisons him under a mountain for 500 years. Then a monk lets him out, and hilarity continues to ensue.
