Chloe's pov

*2 weeks later*

I got better at shifting and Henry showed me how to hunt and use my senses. Me and Henry have sparred but I have not beat him.

"You know you guys never told me why you guys were so shocked when y'all first saw me shift" I said

"Usually when a human shifts they are omegas and rarely betas but never alphas." Dan said and i looked at Henry.

"So what am i" I said

"You are an alpha it made sense because your stubborn like one and you are strong and brave and never give up" Henry said

"Wow. I'm an alpha" I said and smiled

"Don't get to cocky" Henry said and I chuckled

"So the pack names when can I see them" I said

"Oh here they are right here" Dan said

He gave me a paper and I saw at least 10 names.

"They are the ones closest to us so that way we won't be to far away" Dan said and smiled

"Thank you" I said and smiled

"Buddy whay do you think hm?" I said and smiled

"Chloe you can't take buddy" Dan said and frowned

"What" I said

"You can't take him they don't allow pets." Dan said and I looked at buddy.

"Well then I guess I'm not going to a pack" I said and I picked up buddy and brought him outside so he can do his business.

"Chloe I know it's hard but you knew that you would have to give things up" Henry said walking outside

"I GAVE UP ENOUGH! I GAVE UP EVER SEEING MY GRANDMA WHO HAD TAKEN CARE OF ME AND I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF HER NOW BECAUSE I'M A FUCKING MONSTER I GAVE UP MY JOB THAT I LOVED AND I WILL NOT FUCKING GIVE BUDDY AWAY" I yelled I got so angry that all I saw was black.

"Chloe calm down" Dan said and I looked at him.

"I'm not gonna go to a pack. I'm gonna go home end of discussion" I said and I walked inside with buddy and I went to my room and packed.

My grandma called me a few days ago saying the cancer was getting worse and I felt so terrible that I can't be there but now I can't just sit back. I can't sit back and let another person die. I'm gonna go stay with her. She deserves the world and especially not to die alone.

*4 hours later*

I finished packing my stuff and I put it all in my truck.

"Will you come back" Dan said

"Of course. Right after I find buddy a good home" I said and smiled

"I'm sorry you have to let him go" Henry said

"I'm sorry I yelled at you" I said and he smiled

"I understand" Henry said and I have him a hug.

"I'll be back" I said and smiled and they waved goodbye and I got in the truck and drove back home.

*THE NEXT DAY*

I finally got home and I went straight to my grandma's.

"Abuela" I said

"Over here clo" I heard my grandma's raspy voice and it nearly broke my heart.

"Abuela what are you doing aren't you supposed to have a house nurse" I said and she chuckled

"I don't need no house nurse chloe" she said and I sighed.

"How are you feeling" I said and covered her

"Taking it a day at a time love" she said

I grabbed her hand and she smiled.

"Its about time you became who your meant to be chloe" she said

"What" I said

"You are a werewolf aren't you" she said and I looked at her and she chuckled.

"Oh honey you think I don't know about all that please. Your grandfather was one. I was a hunter and it wad against our rules but I didn't care about rules I cared about love. We made our own rules we only hunted the rogue wolves and the bad werewolves we left the good ones alone and at peace I gave birth to your mother and she was more human than werewolf she had only the heightened senses she just never shifted that's why she was so strong" she said and smiled

"Your father loved her unconditionally. She was his mate after all. When they had you we knew that you were a full born werewolf your father was an alpha that's why you have that special hum in your blood" she said and smiled

"How come I didn't shift then" I said

"You were a full born werewolf alright but it was dominant it was suppressed when your parents died your wolf knew your wolf became very sensitive and just pushed herself even further down and she stayed that way for years and only a bite can bring it out" she said

"How do you know what I am then if your not a werewolf" I said

"I was a hunter Chloe I know a werewolf when I see one" she said and smiled

"Chloe you have grown into a beautiful women you are strong but never stood up for yourself when it came to your husband and it killed me to see you hurt that way but I knew you wouldn't accept my help." She said and tears formed in mine and her eyes.

"Oh the way that man hurt you killed me to see my grandbaby hurt. I love you with all my heart Chloe don't ever out yourself through that okay promise me" she said

"I promise" I said and she wiped my tears.

"Get some rest" I said and she nodded and I kissed her forehead and tucked her in and turned out the light and looked at her.

Why was life so damn unfair.
