Chloe's pov 

I woke up in my mom's room but she was gone. I got up and i walked to austin's room and he was sleeping. I smiled and grabbed some clothes and went in the restroom and took a quick shower.

I blow dried my hair and got dressed i walked out of my room and down to the cafeteria and it was empty. Where is everyone. 

I focused my hearing and i heard people arguing. I recognized the voices and i ran outside and i saw everyone in a huge circle and i pushed my way to the front. 

''WHY DONT YOU COME CLOSER AND TRY ME!'' kat growled

Rose went closer and i got in front of kat. 

''this isnt your fight'' rose said 

''mind telling me whats the problem kat'' i said 

''she was talking to her dumb ass friends saying how she was going to drug austin and get him to have sex with her'' kat said and i looked at rose.

''it just turned into my fight'' i said 

''oh is the little wolf gonna do something'' rose said and kat tried to go at rose but i stopped her.

''no kat i got this'' i said 

''rose your completely pathetic you can back up because im not going to fight you'' i said

''your kidding right!'' kat said 

''kat its lee's sister i may not like her but i respect lee'' i said 

''chloe she wants to have sex with your mate'' soph said 

''want is completely different from it really happening'' i said and i looked at rose.

''and plus its pretty obvious by now'' i said and smiled and pulled my shirt down to show my mark.

''austin don't want you'' i said and i grabbed kat and soph and walked away and everyone went inside and we sat at the table.

''sorry for my sister'' lee said 

''no worries'' i said 

''completely surprised you didn't bite her face off'' manda said 

''im going to be luna soon guys one thing i know is that luna's dont go around fighting other pack members'' i said

''im so proud of you'' austin linked me and i smiled 

''how about you get dressed and get down here'' i linked

''im right here beautiful'' he linked and i turned around and he smiled and kissed my forehead.

''morning guys'' austin said 

''morning'' they said 

''so where were you guy's yesterday'' austin said 

''oh! we forgot to tell you!'' alec said 

''we went skydiving and at huge ass burger's!'' andrew said 

''wow i missed alot'' austin said and laughed 

''hey that reminds me chloe your mom mentioned your birthday is in a week'' gray said 

''dont remind me'' i said 

''you dont like your birthday'' soph said 

''i have to go do something see you guy's later'' i said and i walked out of the pack house and into the woods.

It wasn't that i didnt like celebrating my birthday because i did. When i first moved into my grandma's i didn't celebrate my birthday for 3 years. When i turned 9 she took me to a hospital and she showed me all the kids that were sick the kids that never got to go home and celebrate their birthdays. After that i celebrated my birthday ever since. My last birthday she bought me a present it was a ring with my mom and dad's death date in roman numerals engraved on the inside i never take it off and no one ever asks about it because it looks like a plain old ring. Even though i know they are alive but i dont want to take it off because the date wasn't just the day they died its the day i moved in with her the day she started to care for me. Now that she's gone its hard to even celebrate my birthday its not cause im ungrateful its because it's hard when she's not here. I felt my tears go down my face and i wiped them away. I got next to a tree and took off my clothes and shifted grabbed my clothes in my mouth and ran and ran until i got to where i needed to be. The only person that knew this was henry and dan. They are the people i really want to see..

I got to the border's and the guards stopped me and i linked aiden and he linked them and they let me through. I went behind a tree and shifted into my skin and put my clothes on and walked to the pack house they had and aiden ran out and gave me a hug.

''to think i hated you'' he said and i laughed 

''CHLOE!'' i heard i saw emma run out and she tackled me in a hug.

''what are you doing here!'' she said and smiled 

''not that i dont love you guys because i do but i came to talk to henry'' i said 

''he's in his office'' emma said and smiled aiden led me to his office and i knocked and he looked up and smiled.

''chloe'' he said and smiled and he got up and aiden closed the door.

''whats wrong'' henry said 

''my birthday'' i said and he hugged me.

''oh darlin'' he said 

''i miss her'' i said and he rubbed my back.

''i know kiddo'' he said and he pulled away and looked at me.

''want to stay here for a while'' he said and i shook my head and sighed.

''no i cant and how dare you try to keep me here'' i said and smiled and he laughed

''you know i miss you'' he said 

''you know i was coming here for christmas me and everyone'' i said and smiled 

''yeah i know but thats like five years away'' he said and i laughed 

''you are such a kid'' i said 

''i miss you its weird without you'' he said 

''i know i miss dan's cooking'' i said and he growled playfully and i chuckled

''and having our famous talks'' i said and laughed

''they were awesome'' he said sarcastically and i scoffed

''so what happened what made you think of it'' he said 

''they asked about my birthday'' i said 

''ahh'' he said and i nodded 

''yeah i think its best if i dont celebrate it this year'' i said and gave a small smile

''im sure they will respect your decision if they knew why'' he said and i groaned

''chloe you came here i dont know how'' he said 

''i ran'' i said 

''you ran two hours just to tell me this chloe thats why you have a mate and new friends'' he said 

''ughh'' i said 

''don't you ughh me young lady its time you start trusting in people'' he said 

''your right'' i said 

''yes i am now you know i love you but get on back home and open up and tell them'' he said and i got up and he widened his eyes.

''i see you have a mark'' he said and chuckled 

''oh speaking of that how come you didnt tell me that they could see your memories'' i said and raised my brow's 

''oh would you look at the time it's time for you to get back'' he said and pushed me out of the office and i chuckled 

''leaving'' dan said and smiled and i gave him a hug.

''sadly yes i have to do something'' i said 

''see you on christmas?'' he said 

''of course only twelve days away'' i said and smiled 

''did you get his present yet'' dan said 

''yeah um sure'' i said and smiled 

''you didnt get it'' he said 

''i have to go pick it up'' i said and sighed

''what is it'' he said 

''well since we did the whole blood thing i thought it would be great if i change my name for real legally you know'' i linked him and he smiled 

''he will love it'' he said and smiled 

''yeah im hoping'' i said and smiled 

''okay well go get to it i better like my present too'' he said and smiled 

''actually henry's is the only present i've got so far i need to go shopping ill add that to the long list of what i need to do today'' i said and sighed

''you know you left that money bag here right'' he said 

''yeah i know its for holidays which is actually perfect that im here i need to get it'' i said 

''its in my room one second'' he said and he zipped and got it.

''can you zip me back i dont want to run another two hours'' i said and he chuckled and nodded.

He zipped me home and i smiled.

''thanks dan see you on christmas'' i said 

''bye chloe love ya'' he said and smiled 

''love you too dan'' i said and he zipped away. 

''was that dan'' austin said 

''yeah'' i said 

''whats this'' he said and pointed to the bag.

''my savings i have to go run some errands ill be back later'' i said 

''what errands'' he said 

''christmas errands'' i said and smiled 

''chloe thats not the only reason you went over there is it'' he said and i sighed
