I wrapped my arms around Grian's waist as I pulled away, resting my forehead against his. My gaze flicked from his lips to his eyes, only to find him staring back at me. My lips still tingling from the kiss. My body ached for another and much more. I leaned down and captured his lips once again. They were so soft and smooth, as well as plump.

I ran my tongue along his bottom lip, asking for entrance, which he gladly gave. His taste was sweet, addictive even. I felt my hands slip down, one gripping Grian's hip while the other caressed his inner thigh. Grian's moan made me want to push him backwards on the bed and just take him, but I knew I couldn't.

I had to mind my fangs. Knowing me, they'd try to make an appearance and that was the last thing I needed. However, if his kiss was this delectable, imagine what his blood would taste like. That thought alone almost made me moan. Now, now, Taurtis. This isn't the time for such things.

Just as I thought that, a knock at the door caught my attention. I pulled away from the kiss, glaring at the door. Everyone just had perfect timing, didn't they?

I got up from the bed and walked to the door. I opened it and raised an eyebrow at the person standing there.

"Hi Taury~, I feel like I haven't seen you in a while," Sam wrapped his arms around my neck.

I rolled my eyes, "Listen Sam, I'm not interested, go bug Dom."

He pouted, "You've been sending me to Dom a lot. Why can we just have some fun?"

I sighed, "Again, not interested."

"But Taury~," Sam leaned up closer to my ear, a hint of disappointment in his voice as he spoke, "We used to have so much fun, what happened? Did I do something wrong?"

I pushed him off me, "No, you didn't do something wrong. Just go to Dom already, he always makes time for you."

"Please Taurtis, just one night. Pretty please," Sam begged.

I glared at him, "No, I'm busy right now."

Sam scoffed, "With what? That human? You know he can't please you as much as I can."

I grit my teeth, "Sam. Leave."

Sam's gaze dropped to the floor, his head bowing a little as he slowly backed away from the door. I slammed the door shut and whipped around, gazing at Grian, who was admiring the wooden floor.

In a flash I was back on the bed, I didn't have much time to process what I was doing. Before I knew it Grian was pinned underneath me, staring up at me with widened eyes. Though he didn't appear scared, just startled and slightly embarrassed by the position we were in. There was also a hint of lust in his eyes that was rapidly driving me to the edge. All of my self control swiftly being thrown out the window.

My grip on his arms tightened as I leaned in to kiss him once more, through this one was shorter than the others. My fangs ached, probably showing up the second I hit the bed, perhaps even sooner. No matter, there wasn't much difference.

A part of me was worried and didn't want this to be happening, but clearly that part of me was fighting a losing battle. I began trailing soft kiss across Grian's jaw, carefully making my way to his throat. It almost made me sick, through this type of behavior might be seen as affection to a human, but to a vampire, this was a tactic to get their prey to relax before the kill.

Grian moaned as I ran my tongue over his Adam's apple. Once again, my hands tightened, causing him to wince a little. A wave of nausea washed over me when I realized that the fact I had hurt him slightly only made me more thirsty. My lips traveled to a tender spot on his neck, one that made him moan again, one that was also above a vein. I could smell it, my mouth was watering. Personally, I've never really liked blood, simply drank it to stay alive, but I guess I've never had the vampire side of me take control like this, so it didn't seem to matter.

I opened my mouth and let one of my fangs drag across his skin, hard enough to draw some blood. I was toying him and my heart ached when he winced again. I dipped down again, this time let my fangs slowly sink in, though I didn't drink. Instead of getting a pleasured moan, like the vampire in me expected, Grian cried out in pain. My motions faulted as it hit me, the aphrodisiacs don't affect him. I regained control in a finger snap. I let go of his hands and look at his face, and most of all, the tears in his eyes.

I blinked a few times, making sure I was in full control. It seemed like I calmed down, perhaps hurting Grian drew me back. I pressed my hand to his neck, and wiped away his tears, "Sorry Grian, I don't know what set me off."

He gave me a small smile, "It's okay, at least you're back. Your eyes turned red and I guess that should have been my first sign, seeing as there're back to normal now."

"Yeah, the red eyes are supposed to be intimidating, but I guess it didn't really work for you," I responded as I removed my hand from his neck. I gave his wound a lick and it began to heal up. I quickly got off him in fear that at the taste of his blood I'd pounce again, but it didn't happen.

Red eyes huh. I guess it was bound to happen. Just from that moment alone, I'm reminded of how dangerous it is for Grian to be here. And for him to be safest with me doesn't say much. I'm still a vampire, even if I'm only half, I have to remember that.

Please forgive me, I swear there is a reason I've been gone, it's just hard to explain and I've needed some time. But I'm telling you right now, I will get this done, in fact I'm working on the last few chapters right now. I want to get them done so they can be up for those of you who haven't left due to my long absence. Trust me when I say my brother has been hounding on my ever since I missed two weeks. And I know it's been months, and again I severely apologize. Tomorrow the next chapter will be up. And if it isn't I'm gonna be very upset with myself and pull an all nighter, which I absolutely hate doing, until this entire story is finished. DO YOU HEAR THAT FUTURE ME!?!?!?!
