MADELINE WEST HAD LAW ENFORCEMENT running through her veins. For as long as she had known, she had always wanted to become a police officer. By last name, she was a legacy, and just like her younger brother Jackson, Maddie knew she would follow in their father's footsteps. The LAPD had been calling her name since she had taken her first breath.

After completing her Bachelor of Science degree, Madeline joins the Los Angeles Police Academy alongside Jackson with the hopes to join the force after the vigorous six-month program. With almost all procedures and penal codes memorised in their minds, the West siblings graduate the Academy with — to Maddie's absolute horror — the exact same scores as each other. It appears that even in her new job, her playful rivalry with her brother was never going to end.

It was Lucy Chen, another fellow officer in training, who had almost single-handedly gotten Madeline through the program. With Lucy's comforting smiles and kindness mixed with Maddie's blunt tongue and seemingly endless supply of curse words, they had become fast friends. They had proved that some people with opposite personalities don't repel the other, in fact, they attract. It was like someone had been pulling an invisible string to tie them together all along. Jackson liked to say that his friends were birds of a feather.

And when Madeline, Jackson, Lucy, and John Nolan become rookies at the Mid-Wilshire Police Station, they quickly discover that they aren't just friends. The group of four became a family.

So I started binging this show a month ago and it is SO ADDICTIVE. I just hate that so many spoilers come up the second you Google something like bro fuck off I don't wanna know who dies??? Regardless it's so so good and it actually reminds me a lot of Hawaii Five-O in the best possible way (I love all these super gritty crime shows)
