Birdflash: The Joker Ships It!

It was early Saturday morning. Kidflash was still sleeping in bed. Robin was already up and about training. Batman (aka Bruce Wayne) was out of town for a few weeks at a billionaire's convention, and Alfred was at the market buying cleaning supplies, leaving Robin home alone. The Flash (aka Barry Allen) was doing his forensics and solving crimes because that was his job. The Joker saw this as the perfect opportunity... the perfect opportunity to put his evil plan into action.

First, the Clown Prince of Crime™ decided to gather his bait. He went to the local CVS and bought a bunch of chips and candy bars. Next he adopted a kitten from the local animal shelter (how the people running the shelter didn't find the Joker adopting a kitten at all suspicious, we may never know.)

One lesser known fact about the Joker is that although he may be an extreme jokster, he is also an extreme shipper. Joker was, in fact, quite the Cupid. He had gone to many lengths in the past to try to make his ships become reality. Many of these attempts had slipped right under Batman's radar because it just didn't seem like something the Joker would be into.

After the Joker had purchased his bait, it was time to put his plan into action. He had creepily observed the sidekicks of the various members of the Justice League for some time now, and he had grown especially fond of the relationship between Kidflash and Robin. He just KNEW that they would be perfect together, and he was determined to make his ship come true. Plus, Batman was awfully annoyed by The Flash. If his ship became the reality, it would certainly torture Batman at Christmas dinners in the future. Haha! Perfect.

Kidflash woke up, rubbed his sleepy eyes, stretched, and yawned. He leaped out of bed and sprinted down the stairs. He got himself a large meal, but he was still hungry afterwards. He changed into his hero costume and ran out the door towards his favorite gerneral store.

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks. Somebody had left an entire basket full of goodies right in the middle of the sidewalk. He looked around for anyone who could have dropped the basket, but there was no one in his sight. That wasn't suspicious at all. He decided to take the basket.

Kidflash continued running until he reached a nearby park. He sat down on a bench and unwrapped one of the candy bars. Suddenly, he began to feel very sleepy.

"Oh, no! I've been drugged!" Kidflash exclaimed. But it was too late. He had already zonked out right there on the bench, only to be snatched away and shoved into the back of a purple and green car.

Next stop was Robin's place, which wasn't too far. Robin actually enjoyed training in the same park on nice days. Sometimes Robin and Kidflash would train together in the park. Sometimes they'd have picnics in the park and watch the sunset. On this particular day, Robin was perched up in a tree with binoculars, practicing his skills of observation. Unfortunately, he wasn't observing carefully enough to notice the GIANT CLOWN-SHAPED GREEN AND PURPLE CAR DRIVE PAST, but that's none of my business. *Sips tea*.

The Joker got out of his car and carefully placed a kitten in the tree that Robin was in. Robin didn't even notice the Joker climbing up the tree. (Seriously, is Robin ok? Like, isn't he supposed to be a detective?? I suppose it's best not to question things too much.) Robin turned around when he heard the soft mewing behind him.

"Aww, a kitten!" He whispered. "Poor little guy. How'd you get stuck in this tree?" Robin grabbed the kitten and started to climb down. That's when he noticed the kitten smelled sort of odd.

"Wait a minute," Robin said once he reached the grassy ground. "There's sleeping gas on this kitten!" But it was too late. Robin had already flopped onto the ground, fast asleep. The Joker shoved him into the car and drove back to his lair.

Kidflash was the first to wake up. His eyes blinked open. He certainly wasn't in the park anymore. Instead, he was in an almost empty room with no windows, tied to a chair. "Careless whisper" was playing over a loudspeaker. He looked around the room and realized that Robin was tied to a chair next to him, snoring away.

"Hey Rob! Wake uppp!" he whispered. Robin didn't budge. "DUDE, WAKE UP!" he whisper-yelled. Robin groaned and opened his eyes begrudgingly, but shot up straight once he realized where he was.

"KF," Robin began. "Is this some kinda sick joke? April fool's was last month! You missed your chance."

"No I didn't!" Kidflash protested. "I got you good." He would have crossed his arms over his chest if his hands weren't tied behind his back.

"Yeah, if your definition of a 'good prank' is jumping out from behind a corner and failing to scare someone."

Kidflash rolled his eyes, but then laughed. "It was kinda funny though."

Robin chuckled. "Yeah, I guess it was."

Little did the teens know that the Joker was watching their every move though a secret camera.

"Hey, why are we chained to these chairs in this dim room, anyways?" Kidflash asked.

"No idea," Robin responded. "Normally this is the part where the villain starts monologing."

"Well, should we try to escape?" Kidflash asked.

"Yeah, I guess so." Robin sighed.

At this point the Joker was getting bored of their mundane interaction, so he decided to go get himself a cup of tea. Because why not? Unfortunately, this was the worst possible moment to walk away because, well, you'll see.

"Haha this reminds me of that one time you took me on a date to go to that escape room!" Kidflash remarked as he used his super-speed to cut the ropes that we're tying his hands to the chair.

"Yeah, except this room is way more boring," Robin replied. "How do you suppose we escape?"

"No idea." Kidflash responded. "Can't you call Batman?"

"He's out of town, remember?" Robin replied. Kidflash began to untie Robin's ropes.

Kidflash facepalmed. "Oh shoot, I forgot. Well, this is simply disaterous. Heavy on the dis."

Robin nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'm feeling the opposite of traught right now."

At this point the Joker returned with his tea. It was green tea, obviously, as green was his favorite color.

"Time to put my plan into action," The Joker said as he flicked a switch. "There! By turning the room to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, they will have no choice but to cuddle! Then they will almost surely realize their undying love for each other! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" The Joker cackled in amusement at his own "diabolical" plan.

"Hey is it just me or is it g-getting c-c-cold in here?" Robin said as he began to shiver.

"Hmm, I wouldn't know. My metabolism is high enough to keep me warm in freezing temperatures," Kidflash responded. "Come here, though, I can warm you." Kidflash wrapped the smaller teen in his arms and they just stood there like that for a while.

The Joker sat there staring at the screen in awe. They were so cute that the Joker actually began to feel somewhat bad about torturing them like this. But then the Joker remembered who he was, and he snapped out of it. He was the Clown Prince of of Crime™! The Joker was his name, and crime was his game!

The Joker unflipped the switch, and and room began to warm again. Then he decided to go get himself some crackers. (Again, at the worst possible moment.)

"Thanks,"  Robin says. "I feel better now."

"Hey, don't mention it," Kidflash responded. "You know I love you."  Kidflash planted a quick kiss on Robin's forehead. Robin smiled and blushed slightly as he broke away from his arms.

"Wowzerz, we are seriously being the cheesiest couple ever right now," Robin said with a laugh.

"Pfft," Kidflash responded. "Who says 'wowzerz?'"

"A lot of people say 'wowzerz!'"

"Name one person besides you who says 'wowzerz.'"

"Uhhhhh..." Robin thought. "Hey didn't you say it, like, a couple days ago?"

"I dunno," Kidflash responded. "But what I do know is that we've been saying 'wowzerz' so much right now that it doesn't even sound like a word anymore. That's funny how that works."

"Wowzerz wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers wowzers..." Kidflash and Robin said at the same time.

It was at this time that the Joker came back with a bowl full of goldfish. "What the actual heck," The Joker said as he looked into the camera.

The boys kept saying "wowzerz" for five minutes straight. It was driving the Joker insane. Well, more insane than he already was, that is.

After five minutes, niether Kidflash nor Robin could take it anymore. They both fell over laughing. The Joker couldn't take it anymore either. He was going to make his OTP canon if it was the last thing he did.

The Joker pressed a button and turned on the loud speaker. "GREETINGS BOYS!" He bellowed, interrupting the boys' laughter.

           "The Joker!" Kidflash gasped.

"I knew he was behind this!" exclaimed Robin as he whipped out his phone. He had Alfred on speed dial. "Hey Alfred, I'm gonna need you to pick me and Kidflash up. We're at the Joker's lair. What? What do you mean you can't? Darn, I totally forgot his convention ended yesterday. No! Please don't tell Batman!"

Kidflash got out his phone to call the Flash, but it was dead. "Hey dude, my phone is dead. Can I borrow yours?"

"Sure thing man," Robin said, handing him the phone.

Kidflash dialed the Flash's number. "Hey, yeah it's me Kidflash. No, uncle. I'm in the Joker's lair with Robin. Ugh, I know, I know. There was a basket of snacks on the sidewalk though! I'm really not helping my case, am I? Whatever, can you please just pick me up? I'm sorry, it won't happen again."

"You guys finished?" The Joker asked, annoyed over the loud speaker.

"Yeah, but listen here, J-bird, whatever your evil plan is, you won't get way with it!" Robin shouted.

"Yeah! We're too smart for you!" Kidflash added.

The Joker was only slightly offended by this, but he decided to start monologing anyway. "Everytime I spy on you two, and your little friends, you two are always hanging out! You guys also have so much good chemistry, that you two would be perfect for each other!"

"Uh, thanks?" Robin said. "Hang on did you say you were spying on us??"

"Anyways," the Joker continued. "That is why I brought you two here: so you will realize your undying love for each other! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

"Uh, does he not know that we're already dating?" Kidflash asked Robin.

"Nice try, Kid-crash, but your little tricks won't work on me!"

"No," Robin said. "He's not even joking, we've been dating for the past three months."

"Nice try, Boy Blunder, but I simply do not believe you! Now, get ready to feel the love!!!" The Joker pressed another button and a door opened, revealing a very angry robot-drone-thing!

"How is this supposed to 'make us fall in love?'" Robin asked as he leaped up into the air and kicked the robot in the face.

"No idea," said Kidflash as he ran around the robot in circles really fast. "The Joker is crazy."

"Obviously," replied Robin as he continued to do various karate moves to the robot.

Kidflash flung his body at the robot at top speed three times, and with that, it was out. Robin and Kidflash high-fived one another, then sat down against the wall, panting. Robin layed his head on Kidflash's shoulder and closed his eyes, and Kidflash checked his phone.

"What is taking your uncle so long?" Robin asked. "Isn't he supposed to be the fastest man alive?"

"Yeah," Kidflash sighed. "But he isn't anywhere near as smart as Batman. He's probably already here, but he can't find us for some reason." (Wow, way to diss your uncle there, KF)

Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by the infamous cackle of The Joker. "HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! I SEE YOU HAVE DEFEATED MY ROBO-DRONE! NOW PREPARE TO BE SQUISHED!"

Robin knew what was coming. "Ugh, I hate when he does this."

"Does what?" Kidflash asked. He looked to the walls, only to see them coming closer together! The room was caving in! He quickly ran to the wall on the opposite side of the room and pushed. Robin pushed against the wall that he was previously sitting against. It was no use.

The walls were now so close that Robin and Kidflash were touching. The walls squished a little bit closer, then stopped.

"Hey the walls stopped moving!" Kidflash pointed out.

           "Yeah, Captain Obvious," Robin responded.

"Ugh, this is gonna give me serious claustrophobia," Kidflash sighed.

Robin tried to move to give them both more space, but it was no use. They were stuck squished together.

Suddenly, Robin and Kidflash heard a voice over the loud speaker. "Joker, prepare to be knocked out!" said the Flash.

"Oof!" said the Joker as he got knocked out.

           "Nice work," grumbled Batman.

"Bruce, our babies!!!" The Flash said dramatically.

"Don't say my name," grumbled Batman as he pressed a button.

Suddenly the walls came apart and a door slid open. The Flash and Batman came running in.

"Oh, I thought I'd lost you!" The Flash sobbed dramatically, hugging Kidflash.

"Robin, you should've known better. I am glad you're alright." Batman said in a gruff voice.

"How about we all go out to eat?" The Flash suggested.

"Yeah!" Said everyone else. They ended up going to Stake n' Shake. The end!
