Swallowkit's POV

Swallowkit nervously looked at the outside world and her mother started licking her. "Oh c'mon mom why now?" She asked. Her mother smiled as her grey coat was hit by the sunlight. "It's your apprentice ceremony.." Ibiskit's eyes widened. "Really! That's awesome!" Pigeonflight rolled her eyes. "You'll get to see your Fa- Ibiskit come back!" Swallowkit's mother raced after her sister. Swallowkit went over to Juniperkit. "You nervous?" The red kit looked up at her. "Are you?" Swallowkit smiled at the kit, they were practically siblings because they were born on the same day, though not biologically. Pigeonflight returned with a angry looking Ibiskit. Swallowkit almost laughed. "You have to wait until the clan is called!" Pigeonflight scolded. Ibiskit glared at her mother but remained silent. Soon they heard a voice from the entrance. "Can all cats old enough to fish gather beneath Burntlog for a clan meeting!" It said. Ibiskit looked as if she was about run out again, before she could do that however Pigeonflight picked her up and set her next to Swallowkit who laughed. "Single file," said Pigeonflight," Swallowkit first because she was first." Ibiskit rolled her eyes. "Only by a few seconds," the red kit complained. Swallowkit followed her mother with a very angry looking Ibiskit following them. Swallowkit welcomed the smells that were familiar to her now. Pigeonflight led them to the log. Swallowkit looked behind her and saw Fawntail pushing Juniperkit toward the log, Swallowkit was still surprised that Juniperkit had survived. Swallowkit looked up and saw the leader smiling down at them. "We have three kits ready to be apprenticed," he said smiling lightly. Swallowkit glanced around and her eyes fell on Brackenpaw and his sister. Brackenpaw was smiling while his sisters were smirking. She reset her look on the leader for his black and white tail was flicking as if he was excited and Swallowkit still had no idea that he was her and Ibiskit's father. The leader looked down at them. "Swallowkit, Ibiskit, Juniperkit do you wish to help your clan with all your life?" The three kits looked at each other before saying,"we will." The leader smiled. "From now on until you receive your warrior names you will be known as Swallowpaw,Ibispaw and Juniperpaw. Swallowpaw your mentor will be Newttooth, Ibispaw your mentor will be Tigerstripe and Juniperpaw yours will be, me." Swallowpaw saw the new mentors nearly faint from shock and saw that Juniperpaw had fainted. Brackenpaw came up to her. "Congrats," he said," hey you wanna hu-" Newttooth cut him off. "She doesn't know how to and I need to show her the territory." Brackenpaw looked mildly hurt but if felt anything worse he didn't show it. Swallowpaw followed her mentor not bothering to look over her shoulder to see how Brackenpaw felt. Newttooth led her and her sister through the camp entrance. Tigerstripe had recovered and was now following them, the Magpiestar and Juniperpaw appeared and Juniperpaw was breathing heavily. Tigerstripe looked back and saw Magpiestar. "Hello Magpiestar," he said. "What brings you here?" The black and white tom smiled. "Can I borrow your apprentices for a moment?" Tigerstripe stopped. "Yea sure.." Magpiestar waved his tail in thanks and led his unknowing kits to a secluded spot. "Swallowpaw and Ibispaw, I'm your father."
