In the lab.

Bree is attacking a dummy, and Adam and Chase are practicing attacking each other.

Mr Davenport walks in "All right, guys, gather up. Today, we are going to be studying one of the most time-honored traditions in Japanese culture." Mr Davenport says"Ooh! Nun chuck combat?" Bree asks "Samurai sword fighting?" Chase asks "Wrestling ginormous dudes in diapers?" Adam says.

"We will be studying the great martial art of aikido, the key principle of which is to deflect your aggressor's attack by using his own speed and strength against him." Mr Davenport says "Can we just get to the part where I obliterate them?" Bree says.

Mr Davenport's phone rings "I have to take this. Uh, it's about money. Which is not more important than you, but is a very close second." Mr Davenport walks out of the room.

"Hey, Adam, attack me." Chase says "Okay. Your hair is stupid, you're short, your face is weird, you're weird." Adam says "I meant hit me." Chase says "Okay, good, 'cause that was going to be a really long list." Adam says.

"Wait, wait, wait. Are you sure about this? Adam is ten times stronger than you." Bree says "Doesn't matter. With aikido, a weak opponent can defeat a much stronger one." Chase explains.

"Ah, but what if the weaker opponent fits neatly into an overhead storage bin? I'm talking about you." Adam "Just hit me." Chase gets ready, Adam charges at Chase, and Chase flips him over easily.

"And that's all you need to know about aikido." Chase says proudly "Oh, I get it." Bree grabs Chase's arm and flips him to the ground "Bree, that's not aikido!" Chase says on the floor "Oh, really? My bad." Bree sarcastically says, Adam and Bree do a handshake while singing-songy.

Adam and Bree leave, and Leo walks in "Chase, I need your help. The annual Mission Creek Robot Throwdown is coming up." Leo says going to the monitor and Chase gets up.

"Leo, for the last time. I'm not a robot. I'm a man." Chase says, Leo looks at him "One day, I'll be a man." Chase says.

"I'm not talking about you. It's a competition where remote control robots fight to the death. Here, take a look." Leo plays a video on the laptop of the robot competition.

"Leo, that's cool and all, but I've got way better things to do than...""The grand prize is $500." Leo Chase interrupts "And I'm in." Chase says.

A guy appears in the video destroying several robots with his robot "Who's that guy?" Chase asks "Kevin Stone. That smug jerk wins every year. He thinks he's so much better than me." Leo says "Sounds like he is better than you." Chase says.

"That's not the point! So I was thinking...""That if the two of us teamed up and built a robot together we could take Kevin down." Chase completes Leo's sentence, and he agrees.

"That's a great idea. We'll make a perfect team. I'm an amazing engineer, a brilliant designer, and the most intelligent person on the planet. And you..." Chase says, Leo galres at him "are the guy who picked me."Chase smiles, putting his hand on Leo's shoulder.

McKayla and Caitlin are heading towards the Davenports' house to meet Bree.

"and have you seen the color of his eyes? They are so beautiful, when the sun shines they turn honey color" Caitlin says, McKayla rolls her eyes.

In the last few weeks Caitlin has developed a crush on Adam, since then she literally hasn't talked to McKayla about else, but she hasn't told Bree yet.

"He's so strong and handsome and...""I get it!!" McKayla interrupts impatiently "Oh I'm talking too much, sorry, when I'm in love I get nervous and when I'm nervous I talk" Caitlin says.

"I know Cait, it's not the first time I've seen you with a crush" McKayla says and continues walking.

"Oh Ooh! That's it, you're going to date Chase..." Caitlin starts to imagine, upon hearing this McKayla looks at her scared "I'll date Adam and Bree will be like our sister and we'll be a big family!!" Caitlin says.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Cait, calm down!" McKayla laughs nervously "I'm not going to date Chase" McKayla says nervously and blushing, Caitlin frowns, "But you're in love with him, aren't you?" Caitlin says "What!?" McKayla says in a squeaky voice and laughs nervously.

"Oh okay, I never said that I just...he's my friend and...that's how he sees me, and how I should see him but I can't..." McKayla says thoughtfully "The point is I'm not going to date him and you, take it easy with this Adam thing okay?' McKayla says.

"Of course, but You are in love with Chase it's just soooo obvious" Caitlin laughs "N-no I just..." McKayla blushes intensely "Everyone already knows, they notice the way you look at him" Caitlin says.

McKayla tries to control her breathing "Look, I don't want to talk about this, let's go, Bree is already waiting for us" McKayla says going, Caitlin laughs and follows her.

McKayla has gotten used to the idea of her having a crush on Chase, but hearing Caitlin say the term "in love" might have freaked her out a little, and as for dating Chase, she already accepted the fact that it wouldn't happen anytime soon because Chase sees her as his best friend, she doesn't want to ruin it.

In the lab.

Chase and Leo are working on their robot for the competition "What do you think?" Chase asks "This is awesome! Now all it needs are laser cannons, flamethrowers, and satellite radio so we can pump up the jams." Leo says excitedly.

"Leo, this is why you always lose to Kevin. You rely on flash when you should focus more on speed and stability." Chase says "Gotcha. So where do you want the flamethrowers?" Leo says.

Mr Davenport runs in "Ooh, are you guys working on a combat robot?" Mr Davenport says "Yep. We're getting ready for the big Robot Throwdown!" Leo says

"Mind if I take a look?" Mr Davenport asks "Sure." Chase says "All right. All right, very impressive. Yeah, looks like you are on to something here." Mr Davenport looks at the robot.

"Can I make one suggestion though? Let me join your team. I have made a fortune designing stuff like this. And if I am on your team, you are guaranteed to win." Mr Davenport says.

"Fine with me." Chase says "Why not?" Leo says "Yes! I love robot competitions. They really bring out my inner geek." Mr Davenport says excitedly "Wow, so there's an inner one, too?" Leo asks, Mr Davenport glares at him.

In the living room.

Bree, McKayla and Caitlin are sitting on the couch, doing nothing, McKayla sighs boredly.

"Caitlin, this is so boring. Wouldn't you rather go to a movie?" Bree says "No." Caitlin he says looking around as if expecting something "Yogurt shop?" Bree asks "No." Caitlin says

"Buy matching pink cars and race across the country?" Bree asks, McKayla laughs "no" Caitlin says "I want to do it!" McKayla smiles.

"Okay, Caitlin, what is going on with you? All you ever want to do is hang out in my living room." Bree says, McKayla rolls her eyes "Cait, tell her, this situation is going to be awkward anyway" McKayla says.

"Fine. The reason I always want to hang at your house is because...I kind of have a crush on Adam." Caitlin smiles, Bree quickly looks at McKayla who nods her head "Adam who? Wait, wait, my brother Adam? Ew, Caitlin, no." Bree says.

"Why not? Compared to my last two boyfriends, he's an upgrade. For starters, he's real." Caitlin says "There she has a point!" McKayla agrees "Great, my only two friends have crushes on my brothers" Bree says frustrated

"It's not our fault your brothers are cute" Caitlin says, McKayla smirks slightly "Just where is he!?" Caitlin asks "Okay, first off, Adam's not here. And second, this whole thing is weirding me out. Let's just go to the mall." Bree says "I need to go to the mall!" McKayla says the two get up.

"Will Adam be there? I'm joking. Sort of. I'm not." Caitlin says "Oh, come on!" McKayla groans.

She sighs and goes to the door "I can't take it anymore I'm going to go and meet you there, and unless the theater attendant is called Adam, I don't want to hear that name there!" McKayla tells Caitlin.

Caitlin crosses her arms and glares at McKayla, she leaves "Just wait right here, I'm gonna get my new jacket. Back in a sec." Bree tells Caitlin

Bree super speeds away in front of Caitlin and Adam walks in the front door "Oh. Caitlin. You're here. Again" Adam says frustrated, Bree super speeds back, Adam's eyes widen "Uh, Bree." Adam says.

"Did I just...?" Bree realizes she used bionics in front of Caitlin "Yep, you did" Adam says worried "I gotta go." Caitlin says scared and runs out of the house.

"But...no, wait, Caitlin! No, C..." Bree tries to follow her "Oh!" Adam says in disbelief "I cannot believe I just used my super-speed in front of Caitlin! I totally blew our bionic secret!" Bree says worried.

"Oh, great. Now we're gonna have to move far away and change our names. Quick, what do you think of "Adam Davenport?"" Adam says desperately "That's your name." Bree says "I know, I meant for Chase. I'm gonna be Steve Greenberg." Adam says.

McKayla was heading towards the mall and suddenly Caitlin passed her.

McKayla to her "Hey Hey, Caitlin, what happened?" McKayla asks "Adam happened!" Caitlin says nervously "Oh Caitlin" McKayla puts her hand on her forehead.

"Oh well I'm going to the mall anyway" McKayla says irritated and leaves.

The next day, in the main school hallway.

"Oh! I love recycling drives! Lots of barrels, a gigantic tire. Bree, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Adam says excitedly "Probably not." Bree says "Duh! Gigantic tire bowling!" Adam says.

"Adam! That is not why we're here." Bree says "It's why I'm here." Adam goes to a giant tire "Just push me. And I know what you're thinking. But this is gonna work way better than trash bag skydiving!" Adam says.

"No. Adam. Stop. We have to find Caitlin and stop her before she tells anyone." Bree takes him by the arm "Okay, are you absolutely sure she saw you super-speed?" Adam asks.

"Well, she won't return my texts or calls. McKayla also couldn't talk to her... Actually I think Mack doesn't want to talk to her. And why else would she have run off like that?" Bree says "Maybe she saw a squirrel. Always gets me running." Adam says.

Caitlin walks in, holding several bottles "Hi, Caitlin." Bree smile gently "What's going on?" Adam asks "Oh, uh, nothing. Nothing at all. I, uh, I..
I... bottles!" Caitlin drops bottles and runs away.

Bree sighs "See? She definitely knows! We can't let her expose our secret. But maybe we can give her something she wants in exchange for her silence." Bree smirks at Adam, he gasps "A hamster and a strawberry pie." Adam says.

"Or... there's a guy she likes." Bree says "Ah, I see where you're going with this. Maybe we can get him to hang out with her and then convince her she didn't see what she thinks she saw. Wait, see, saw, carry the one. Yeah, that tracks. So, who's the unlucky guy?" Adam says.

"You." Bree smiles "Huh. Yu, the Japanese exchange student? Nice guy, I can see that working out." Adam says "No, Adam, she likes you." Bree points at him.

"Oh, no way, I'm not doing that. Caitlin's super weird. Plus I'm not getting between her and that Japanese dude." Adam says

"I'll push you for ten frames of gigantic tire bowling." Bree smirk "You've got yourself a deal. Clear out people! She's bowling, I'm rolling." Adam climbs in the tire.

After Mr Davenport destroys Chase and Leo's robot and they remove him from the team, Leo and Chase rebuild the robot.

At the arena, McKayla has just arrived at the competition and goes up to Chase and Leo "Hey guys!" McKayla says "Mack! You came!" Chase says excitedly.

"Of course I would never miss this and also if I didn't come here I would have to spend the day with Caitlin, and let's just say she's not in one of her best moments" McKayla says "I'm happy you came M.C so we have an even bigger fan base" Leo says.

"Oh yeah, that's why I came too, you guys need professional cheer support" McKayla says waving her hands like pompoms with a friendly smile, Chase chuckles and and he bites his bottom lip to contain himself from demonstrating how cute he thinks she is.

The announcer starts talking and McKayla leaves the arena "Good luck guys!" McKayla says.

"Next up, the competitor who's taken home the Robot Throwdown trophy five years and running. Kevin Stone, and his robot, the Merchant of Menace!" The announcer says introducing Kevin and his robot, the audience cheers.

"And finally, competing together for the first time, Leo Dooley, Chase Davenport, and their robot, Josh." the audience stops cheering and muttering ensues, McKayla stops applauding.

"Josh?" The announcer says "I didn't know the name was supposed to be scary." Chase says "The name is supposed to be scary." Leo says angrily "Woohoo! Come on Josh, You gonna smash it!" McKayla cheers, Chase quickly looks at her and gives her a sincere and relieved smile.

"Okay, let's get started..."The announcer says, a man comes up to the announcer and shows him a piece of paper "Hold on. We have one more contestant. And he's asked us to turn down the lights." The announcer says.

The lights dim and dramatic music plays "Ladies and gentlemen, please give it up for the mechanic who makes them panic, the robot freak of Mission Creek, the inventor with the splen...Okay, I ain't reading all these. Here he is, Donald Davenport!" The announcer says.

"What?" McKayla says "Is that..." Chase says "It can't be!" Leo says "It is." They both say, Mr Davenport runs through fog cannons and takes the microphone "Hey there, guys. Sorry I'm late." Mr Davenport says.

"But I was really busy building this!" Mr Davenport unveils his menacing robot "Behold the Predaraptor! Complete with hydraulic jaws of death! Boom!" Mr Davenport says, Leo and Chase look at each other "unbelievable" McKayla crosses her arms.

"If you are pregnant, elderly, have a heart condition, or under the age of 13, you should probably go home now!" Mr Davenport laughs, the audience cheers "Booooo!" McKayla boos "Bet you wish we had the flamethrowers now." Leo tells Chase.

Chase is putting the name tag on their robot, McKayla tilts her head "I really like the name...Josh sounds like a tough guy's name" McKayla says sincerely "Thanks, at least someone here liked it" Chase says, Leo rolls his eyes at both of them.

Leo shakes his head thinking that it's so obvious that McKayla is super into Chase, but he's so naive and insecure that he doesn't even realize that he himself might have feelings for her, it's distressing to see without being able to say anything to them.

Mr Davenport walks up to them "Hey, guys. Hey, I got you something so you will never forget your first robot throwdown." Mr Davenport holds up t-shirt ""I got crushed by the Davenport Predaraptor?"" Leo reads what is written on the shirt "Not available in stores!" Mr Davenport says.

"Why can't you just accept that their robot is better than yours?" McKayla says "Uuuhhh!" Leo says with a smile, Mr Davenport gasps "With all due respect Mr Davenport, but why can't you realize that thanks to you they were able to get this far because you taught them so well, that they are even more capable than you, you should be proud of them don't compete against them" McKayla says.

Chase looks at her impressed, Mr Davenport is speechless "Because... because my robot is better than theirs... and I'm going to prove it" Mr Davenport as if he were a child, throws the t-shirts in Leo and Chase's faces, McKayla rolls her eyes.

"Well, at least you tried!" Leo says with a shrug, McKayla agrees.

"Okay, everybody. It's time for Robot Throwdown!" The announcer says and the audience cheers.

In the main school hallway.

Adam and Bree watch Caitlin from the stairs "Do I really have to do this?" Adam asks "Hey, I just tire-bowled a 250. You're not backing out now." Bree says, Adam sighs and walks over to Caitlin.

"Hey, Caitlin." Adam says "Ahh!" Caitlin screams and knocks over the water jugs next to her

"Whoa. Just want to talk, so you don't have to freak out." Adam says "Freak out? I'm totally relaxed" Caitlin flips her hair clearly not relaxed.

"So I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out sometime. And trust me, you don't have to say yes." Adam says "Yes!" Caitlin says excitedly "You did just hear that last part, right?" Adam says.

"Hey, why just hang out some of the time, when we can hang out all the time? Starting tonight!" Caitlin says "Oh, but I was gonna go to the Robot Throwdown finals." Adam says.

"Uh, Adam, there are two of us in this relationship now. It's not all about you." Caitlin says, Adam frowns "This is so exciting. Now, I don't have to hide behind trees when I follow you home from school every day!" Caitlin hugs him.

Aat the arena.

Leo and Chase reached the semi-finals against Kevin, whoever wins will go to the final with Mr Davenport.

"And now it's time for our second semifinal match. The winner will advance to the finals and take on Donald Davenport and his Predaraptor." The announcer says.

"That's me, everybody. The T-shirt guy. So..." Mr Davenport says, the audience boos and throws the t-shirts at him "I wasn't going to say anything but...I don't see this as the sound of victory" McKayla smirk, Mr Davenport glares at her irritated.

"Robots, take you starting positions, please." The announcer says, the robots fight and the audience cheers.

"They're circling, feeling each other out. The Merchant has Josh on the rope. Look at that bot bob-and-weave! Now Josh has the Merchant on the ropes." The announcer says "Go Josh!!!" McKayla cheers

Chase and Leo's robot crushes Kevin's robot "Five time champ, Kevin Stone, is out!" The announcer says "Whoo! Yes!" Chase celebrates "Yes! We won! We won! I can't believe this!" Leo says excitedly "Can't believe this!" Chase and Leo stop short when Kevin walks up to them, angry.

"Hi. Um, good match, Kevin. You are a worthy opponent, and, uh, a strong adversary." Chase says "Because I consider myself a good sportsman, I'll wait until after you leave the arena to laugh, point, and gloat." Leo says.

"But I won't! You lost!" Chase says excitedly "We won! You lost!" The two celebrate,Chase and Leo start dancing and Kevin storms off, McKayla laughs lightly looking at them shaking her head.

In the living room, Adam and Bree are on the couch when the door bell rings.

"Oh, great. Caitlin's an hour early." Adam says sarcastically, Caitlin pounds on the door "It's Caitlin! I know you're in there! I can hear your voices!" Caitlin continues to pound.

Adam threatens to run away and Bree holds him back "No, sit down." Bree says gets up and goes to the door.

Bree opens the door and Caitlin walks in "Oh, hi." Caitlin says "Hi, Caitlin." Bree says "Can you leave? I want to hang with Adam." Caitlin says.

"Yeah, sure. Just wanted to say...""Now, Bree." Caitlin interrupts Bree impatiently "Right. I'll go." Bree goes to Adam "Good luck with that." Bree tells him and walks away, Adam sighs regretfully.

"I brought my movies. I hope you like documentaries about Polish nuns who paint with their toes." Caitlin says excitedly "Look, Caitlin, I wanted to ask you...""Yes, the answer is yes!" Caitlin interrupts Adam excitedly.

"Look, I need to talk to you about why you ran out the other night. I think there was a misunderstanding about what you saw." Adam says "What are you talking about? I didn't see anything. I'm like, totally blind without my glasses." Caitlin says

"What?" Adam and Bree say together "Yeah, I wasn't wearing them, because I was afraid if you saw me, you'd think I was a dork." Caitlin puts on her glasses and laughs nasally

"So why did you run out?" Adam asks "I got flustered when I heard your voice. Just like this morning at school. But that won't happen anymore, 'cause I'm totally comfortable around you now." Caitlin puts Adam's arm around her and he pulls away.

"Love me!" Caitlin aggressively pulls his arm back around her.

"Wait, are you kidding me? I missed the Robot Throwdown for this?" Adam says irritated "Lucky you, huh? Wow, you must be feeling the passion too. Your eyes are really red." Caitlin says, Adam's eyes light up because he's about to trigger heat visio

Bree super speeds and pushes Caitlin to the couch, making her glasses fall off. Adam fires his heat vision uncontrollably and Bree shoves him out of the room.

"What is that smell?" Caitlin says as the pillow next to her smokes "Uh, I was smoking a turkey." Bree says.

"Can you help me find my glasses?" Caitlin asks, Bree steps on them "Hmm, oops. Found 'em. Guess you better go home and get some new ones." Bree says and pulls Caitlin by the arm

"Wait!" Caitlin says "Out you go." Bree walks her to the door "Just let me tell Adam.." Bree pushes her out and slams the door.

Caitlin runs to the ramp outside the living room "I'll be right back, I just need to borrow McKayla's glasses, Don't start the movies without me!" Caitlin says.

At the arena

"Gentlemen, take your starting positions. It's time for Robot Throwdown! And hurry this up. I gotta get this suit back to the funeral home." The announcer says.

The robots gear up to fight, the robots fight and Mr Davenport cackles, McKayla shakes her head at him. the Predaraptor continues to advance on Josh.

"I wish you guys had built a better robot, so your pain would last longer!" Mr Davenport cackles.

"You can do it guys!" McKayla shouts "come on, give me J" McKayla cheers "J" the crowd cheers "Give me an O" McKayla moves the crowd, Leo and Chase smile at her.

"O" the crowd screams "Give me S!" McKayla cheers "S" the crowd screams "Give me H" McKayla says "H!" The crowd cheers "What do we want?!" McKayla cheers "Josh! Josh! Josh!" McKayla and the crowd cheer

Leo and Chase look at each other confidently "Let's do this." Leo says, Josh unveils a metal ramp and the Predaraptor charges at it. The Predaraptor is flipped over and destroyed.

"No!" Mr Davenport shouts "Woah! YESS!" McKayla celebrates with the crowd.

"Yes! We did it!" Leo hugs Chase and they celebrate "Yeah! Whoo!" Chase says "Yes!" The two celebrate "No!" Mr Davenport says "Ha! right in your face!" McKayla tells him as she heads towards the arena.

"It's all over! Josh takes the trophy! The robot with the stupid name wins!" The announcer says, Chase and Leo meet Mr Davenport in the arena.

"Yeah! Where's your T-shirt now?" Chase says "Oh, ha-ha, very funny. Very impressive, guys. How'd you figure that out?" Mr Davenport says.

"The principles of aikido. We used your own momentum and force against you." Chase says, Leo agrees "So the students school the teacher. The girl was right, Very well played." Mr Davenport says.

"Thank you. It takes a big man to say that." Chase says "But apparently, a little man can too." Leo says "You do realize you're shorter than me, right?" Mr Davenport says.

Chase and Leo start dancing "♪ He just went down ♪ ♪ You just went down ♪" They start to sing.

McKayla runs up to them "Guys!" McKayla goes straight to hug Chase and Leo, but Leo moves out of her way, making her hug just Chase, Leo gives a small smile.

"I knew you would do it! I'm so happy for you guys!" McKayla says hugging Chase, he hugs her tightly and smiles feeling his heart speed up but he feels a sense of comfort.

"Thank you" Chase lets go of the hug, McKayla hugs Leo quickly congratulating him "Thank you for the great cheer too, it helped a lot" Leo says.

"Sure... give me a V" McKayla starts "V" Leo and Chase follow "V of what!?" McKayla says "VICTORY!!" Leo and Chase celebrate.

In the main school hallway.

Chase and Bree are on the bench in the middle of the hall when Adam walks in "So, I think I finally got Caitlin off my back." Adam says "How'd you do that? With a tranquilizer gun and a crowbar?" Bree says, Chase chuckles.

"Nope. I mean, my initial plan was to say several things to make her realize that her real crush is Chase not me" Adam says, Chase frowns "why?" Chase asks "Cuz it would be funny to see her chase you everywhere" Adam laughs.

"Caitlin would never do that" Bree says "Yeah that's what she said" Adam says "Wait why? Not that I wanted to because...uhg! But why would she never have a crush on me?" Chase questions.

Adam scoffs like it's obvious "Because McKayla has a crush on you" Adam says, Chase feels a chill straight from his stomach "it would end their friendship" Bree says, Adam agrees, Chase widens his eyes and looks at them.

"M-McKayla...has a...she likes me?!" Chase says nervously, his breathing quickens "Uh Duh! It's obvious, everyone knows" Bree says.

Chase looks at them in disbelief "Dude, you never noticed?" Adam asks "No!" Chase says "Well, she's been super into you since...always!" Bree pats him on the back.

Chase is in shock, as all the moments he spent with McKayla flash through his head, now with a completely different perspective, he was sure she always saw him as her best friend, and that's all, now he sees the possibility that they are something more and it's just confusing and scary but in a good way.

"So after that conversation Caitlin left your side?" Bree asks "yeah, she realized that McKayla's friendship mattered more to her than a crush" Adam says, Chase feels anxious "are you okay?" Bree asks "Y-yeah....I mean....McKayla has a crush on me!" Chase says nervously.

Bree and Adam look at each other and decide to let Chase absorb the information for himself "Yup, good luck with that" Adam says, Bree pats him on the back and the two leave, leaving Chase in this whirlwind of feelings that only he would be able to solve.
