Rose P.O.V



I was making my way to my bedroom when Burke, my bodyguard ran towards me. His face bright red like those people who gets sunburns at the beach, their was also an expression etched onto his face that I've never seen him with. Worry. Burke has been my bodyguard since he was 20 years old and I was 12, That was five years ago. My father wanted me to have protection around me at all times because a couple of months before we met Burks I got attacked by a man that goes by the name Krane. He found out that I had Bionic abilities and wanted to recruit me in his Bionic Army. At first my father didn't like the idea of Burke protecting me cause he was a 20 year old with piercings and tattoo and I was just a young girl. Eventually he noticed that he wasn't the type of guy who plays around, he was serious at his job and never once have I ever seen Burke look worried about anything. So it kinda scared me that after everything we went through like kidnapping, bombing, stalking, etc. This is the first time he was worried.

"Hey Burke what's up?" I asked in a calming tone. I didn't want to over react cause of a facial expression that could literally mean nothing. He could of lost his gun and losing losing a weapon is a good reason to be worried. I continued walking to my room while I waited for a replay from him but instead of answering me he grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from my room l. He directed me the opposite direction to a secret staircase that my father had hidden behind a painting that my mother made for my father when they first got engaged. The stairs lead to a passage way that brings us to my fathers underground lab but we're not aloud to use the stairs unless its an emergency. So i stared freaking out a little, Burkes hold on my wrist was really tight which i know will leave a bruise in the near future. I looked up at his face to see if he notices that he's hurting me but all i can see in his facial expression is a hard look with a hint of nervousness that he's trying hard not to show.

His once light blue eyes is now a dark stormy blue color fill with an emotion i cant quit catch. I honestly don't understand what's going on with Burke, usually when there is something big going on he always tells me no matter what. At that thought i tried to get out if his death grip that he has on me but every time i tried to pull away his grip is only getting tighter and if it gets any tighter he might just break my wrist.

"Burke what the hell is going on?" i tried to ask him again, but still got no reply "BURKE!!!!!"

He finally stopped walking, at first i thought i got through his head by screaming his name. But when I looked around at where we were i saw that we were at the door to my fathers lab. Burke opened the door with his free hand and pulled me into the room.

The first thing i saw was my father frozen at is desk and when i say frozen i mean frozen. He was just a person in a block of ice. Turning my focus away from my dad i see Javed only a couple feet away with a gun that I'm pretty sure is the freeze ray that froze my dad, which i wasn't surprised to see. No matter how many times he losses a fight with my dad he always comes back hoping he will win.

"Is this the girl you were talking about Javed?" I heard a voice ask to the left of me. I turned to see a guy about my age. He eyes light brown hair which is dark in one places pulled up into a quiff. Brown eyes and faint freckles around his nose.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked the mystery guy.

"Oh sweetheart language, didn't your father ever told you to be nice," He said raising one of his eyebrows "I'm Marcus by the way."

I was about to say something when i felt something being put in my hand; a key. Not just any key but my fathers emergency key for the SOS plan. The SOS plan was built by my father for me to use to go to safety. In the plan there are already coordinates built in to take me to the location that i'm suppose to go basically.

"When I say now teleport out of here to the plane." Burke told me neither of the guys in the room noticing. I nodded my head a little for Burke to notice.

"Mr. Linch sir, what do you want me to do with the girl?" Burke asked Javed while walking to up to him. Noticing something might be going on Marcus took a step closer to me.

"Put her on the lab table," Javed answered "I want to see how it works."

"How IT works?" I yelled while Burke grabbed my arm and started dragging me to the lab table. I wanted to lunge at Javed so badly for calling me an IT, but if i do it will ruin the plan that Burke and I kinda planned. So I stayed quit while Burke brought me closer to the lab table. Looking around the table i saw that Burke was bringing to to the one close to the hidden emergency exit that'll bring me straight to the emergency plane. Remembering that i still had the key for plane in my hands, i put it into the front pocket of my jean shorts. I looked around to make sure the neither Javed or Marcus saw me put the key into my pocket.

When i looked at Marcus i saw him looking at me like hes trying to figure something out. while he still staring me he started walking towards Javed and started whispering something to him. I couldn't hear anything that Marcus was telling Javed so i activated my bionic hearing to eavesdrop onto there conversation.

"I think Burke and that girl is planning something. Are you sure that the mind control shot worked?" I heard Marcus saying.

"Of course," Javed answered him "The mind control shot last for about 3 hours and it has only an hour and half."

I laughed loudly in my head. Little did Javed know that years ago my father created a device that makes sure that Burke or any of the other bodyguards have to swallow to prevent anything from controlling them. For example like a truth serum or a mind control shot. My father calls it the prevention pill.

Deep into listening Marcus and Javed i didn't notice Burke shaking me. I looked up at him and saw him mouthing word "Duplicate". I nodded my head and started making dozen copies of me.
