The Lightslayers are a team of supervillains who are evil and twisted counterparts of the Vanguardians hailing from the Dark Multiverse. They are well known for conquering almost all of the worlds in the Dark Multiverse, at least the ones that haven't been deteriorated and destroyed yet. Discovering the existence of the main Multiverse along with other versions with different realities, they decided to travel there to continue their conquest.

Biography

In this timeline, the Vanguardians, the avenging angels and the strongest heroes in the Multiverse were never formed, due to them having different and darker path chosen in their lives.

For example:

Killstorm - In this timeline, Atmocide's plan of turning his son into a villain just like him suceeded. In fact, he became even way more twisted than his father, killing Braveheart and taking his Null Force for himself, and together with his father they went on a bloody rampage, until Ethan became bored with his dad's antics so killed him, and dreamt of something bigger: Ruling the world so that he could do whatever he want.

Sovereign - In this timeline, Uvos invaded the Dyclonians earlier, and took in Alice as a child as his heir and daughter. As Sovereign, Alice helped out her father in galaxy and universal conquest, and during the trial to inherit the throne, which was Alice and Uvos battling to death, Alice won, and became the new empress of the Skarnites and Vaxan Empire.

Pandemic - In this timeline, the Vanguardians were never formed, so Joshua was never rescued, so he ended up becoming a bioweapon for the terrorist group that gave him his powers. But he soon turned against them and infected everyone, causing a massive infection of deadly virus.

Torment - In this timeline, instead of Blackthorne Clan and the Fenrir's Claw being responsible for slaughtering his family, but Henry himself after losing control of his magic. Furthermore, instead of being horrified, he became fascinated and took sadistic pleasure in his dark magic. He eventually slaughtered everyone in the magical society before rising to power. Also he doesn't use the Chains of Azrael, instead he uses the Sword of the Ninth Circle.

Decimator - In this timeline, instead of growing up in poverty, Rachel is a daughter of crime bosses, indulging in criminal lifestyle, and an abusive older sister to Riley. After her parents are killed in SWAT raid, she used Boost to give herself power to destroy the police, and later used them to rise as the head of criminal underworld. She also kills her brother after learning that he was the one who ratted her parents out.

The five teamed up at some point after their fight with the Paradigms and other member of the Light Coalition, and decided to work together in hopes of killing more heroes. At first they hated each other, but once they learned their mutual hatred toward the heroes and the entire world by extent, they found a common ground and bonded together, albeit for a twisted reason. They decided to call themselves Lightslayers to symbolize their hate toward order and light.

While the Lightslayers became known for murdering many superheroes, they were also feared and hated by their fellow villains because of how they would bully, abuse, and brutally beat them.

At some point they were recruited by the Chaosbringers but killed them and took their places as leaders of all supervillains, and took control of 90% of Earth. The only group that opposed them were the Absolutes, a group of powerful superheroes and the last of the Coalition, who would become their arch enemies.

Ethan Kalder / Killstorm

Personality

Similar to his prime variant, Killstorm is a wisecracking, dry-witted, and confident person. However, he is much more deranged, sadistic, psychopathic, and bloodthirsty in nature, enjoying brutalizing and seeing others in pain. He is also quite flirtatious with women, though he enjoys seeing them in pain or humiliated more.

Alice Albright/Sovereign

Personality

Compared to her prime variant, Sovereign is more haughty, arrogant, ambitious, manipulative, and callous. Much like her adoptive father Uvos, Sovereign is very disdainful and discriminative toward humans, calling them filthy and fragile, but at the same time find them interesting. Much like other aliens, she refers humans as Terrans.

Joshua Santiago/Pandemic

Personality

Compared to his prime variant, due to never truly overcoming his trauma, Pandemic is cynical, sardonic, and resentful. Because of how his powers are more toxic and deadly compared to his main variant, Pandemic enjoys getting sick and having his body damaged, which implies that he is masochistic, to the point he would willingly use himself as human shield for his teammates or get himself overdosed on drugs or expose himself to chemicals and radiations and such for his own pleasure.

Henry Lazarus/Torment

Personality

While similar to his prime variant, Torment is brooding and intimidating, but he is apathetic, remorseless, and nihilistic in nature, to the point he seems very intrigued at how people can gruesomely die from the effects of his magical power. Compared to his main variant, his most notable trait is his dark sense of humor, using his magic to cause freak accidents that are mostly seen as darkly humorous. Torment is also very vindictive in nature, as he extremely hates those who try to defy their fates and will do anything to ensure they meet their ends.

Rachel Fairchild/Decimator

Personality

Much like her prime variant, Decimator is a tomboyish and foul-mouthed in nature, but compared to her main variant, she is much more ruthless, self-centered, petty, and violent. She likes to physically and emotionally abuse those who she hates or finds annoying. Her life as a criminal also hardened her to the point she isn't afraid of brutally murdering or seeing gruesome deaths, simply finding it as a nuisance.
