Kunj didn't delay another minute in filing a case of negligence against Natasha and Abhishek, with the help of the police officer. The police were putting all the efforts in finding the man in the hoddy, who took Ansh away from the shop.

From the surveillance footage,they understood that he had purposefully lured Ansh to go with him but what confused them was how Ansh had managed to escape from him. They managed to get the other footage from the highways. All the while,the man had partially covered his face with the hoody, making it difficult for them to identify him. Since Ansh was made to sit on the front seat, it was easy to locate his small frame until he suddenly went missing from the footages. The videos in which Ansh wasn't visible were collected from the place exactly after where Ansh was found that night.

Ansh was questioned about the person and how he had managed to escape from him but unfortunately they couldn't pull out anything from the little fellow.

" Doesn't look like a kidnap attempt to me. The chief police officer claimed looking into the computer screen.

K-How are you sure about it?

O-First of all, Ansh is too small to make an attempt to escape from him. If I am right,the mad had himself let Ansh go because this is the spot where we found Ansh and it's not too far from the area where Ansh was last seen in the passenger seat.
He pointed to the location where the footage without Ansh was found.

K-What if Ansh ran away from him?
Kunj wasn't convinced.

O-I doubt that because if. Ansh had ran away from the guy,he could have easily come back and got him from the bench before us but he didn't.

K-Why does he have to do that anyway? Kunj asked looking genuinely confused. Why did he have to kidnap him if not for ransom?

O-We have to find that out... He went to sit on his seat. I guess,there has to be some personal reasons for doing it. Maybe he is someone who wants to see you all panicked or someone who wants to put Natasha into trouble.

K-If someone did that he clearly didn't like Ansh staying with Natasha. Kunj suggested after pondering into it deeply.

O-Not necessary. He could have done that with the mere motto for revenge, like a business rival.. He narrowed his eyes as he put his brain's wheel into work. Anyways Mr. Sarna,you don't need to worry about it. We will find it out for you.

Kunj nodded, Thank you officer.

O-I have talked to the child care service and explained them about the situation. They have agreed to let Ansh stay with you for a week. I think, it will be enough time for you to reopen your son's custody case.
He said standing up from his seat and shook his hand with Kunj.

'I am damn sure he doesn't care about Ansh. You don't have to worry about him,Kunj because all he needs is some money to keep his mouth shut and believe me Ansh is all ours." Kunj recalled what Natasha had said to him that day when she came to negotiate with him.

Were they really not in good terms with each other?

Did, Abhishek have a hand in this,by any chance?

Did he want to take Ansh away from Natasha? If so why?

Or as the police officer said, did he just want to put Natasha into trouble for money or something else?

If so, then he had to talk to his investigator to find out the truth. Going home, he ignored Twinkle, who was on the couch busy, studying for her final semester with Ansh half asleep on her lap.

He marched into his study and just when he was about to call Rudra, his phone buzzed.

R-Good evening,Kunj.

K-Rudra, I was about to call you.

R-Kunj, i think Abhishek is involved in the kidna.... Rudra paused.I don't think it's a kidnapping anymore.

It didn't come as a shock for Kunj and replied coolly, i think the same too. In fact,i think I know why he did it.

R-Right, now all we had a do is to start
collecting proofs for our claims. Can we meet in person,Kunj? So, that we can discuss further about this matter?

K-Sure, I'll start right now. Kunj assured before ending the call. I'll be there tomorrow morning.

He found Twinkle in Ansh's room, putting him to bed for his afternoon nap. He wanted to put an end to the misunderstanding between them but not now when he was in a hurry. He knew Twinkle wouldn't listen to him right away and he would need time to make her understand everything.

Coming out of Ansh's room, Twinkle saw Kunj's driver helping him with his bags.

Though she hesitated, she couldn't keep herself from asking where he was going all of a sudden.
T-Is everything alright?

K-Yeah, I'll be back in two days.
He didn't look up at her and kept typing something on his phone.

T-Okay...
She didn't pry about it anymore and stood a few steps away from him, fidgeting with the hem of her t-shirt.

K-Take care. He said before walking out of the door.

It tugged at Twinkle's heart that he didn't even glance at her. It was their first wedding anniversary tomorrow but Kunj didn't seem to remember it.

T-How does it even matter when this marriage itself means nothing to him?
She said to herself , sighing deeply before going near the door to lock it.

K-How did you know it was Abhishek,
Kunj had reached Rudra's office in Delhi in the evening.
He couldn't stop himself thinking about how he had found out without even talking to police or without seeing the video footages.

R-The spy which we sent to follow him confirmed me Abhishek was seen walking out of his flat wearing the similar jacket. Here.. he put some pictures in front of Kunj.'These are some evidences.'

K-Great! Isn't it enough to prove him guilty?

R- Unfortunately not, Kunj. His face isn't clear in any of the images. We can prove nothing with this but this would confirm our doubts that it was Abhishek who had tried to kidnap Ansh. We may need a solid proof before we drag him into the court.

K- Isn't there anything else we can do? I mean, this guy can be a danger to my family. He shouldn't be roaming out so freely. Kunj was panicked to think what might he could do to Ansh again.

R-I know, that's why I have asked my men to keep an eye on him twenty four seven. Don't worry,Kunj. Your family is absolutely safe. We will alert the police about this and if you want I will arrange full protection to you and your family.

Kunj looked unsure of what to say. He was a busy man who often have to leave his family behind business trips. Until and unless, he was sure that Twinkle and Ansh were safe, he wouldn't be able to stay away from them peacefully.

R- Look Kunj, we already have the video where Natasha herself said that Abhishek was not interested in raising his child. We just need another solid piece of evidence to prove to the court that it was indeed Abhishek, who had tried to kidnap Ansh. Then we have nothing to worry about
Rudra assured when he found the fear in Kunj's eyes.

K-Alright, I'll leave it to you but please make sure he doesn't touch a hair of my wife and son. Kunj was supposed to leave the day after tomorrow but after discussing with Rudra,he was sure that he wouldn't be peaceful staying away from Twinkle and Ansh.

He decided to take the first flight in the morning back to Amritsar.Early the next morning, Kunj was home. Twinkle and Ansh hadn't woke up being Saturday. He was damn tired but he was aware of what day it was.
He didn't make their wedding day a memorable one for Twinkle but since, now he was in so much love with her , he wanted to surprise her. Even though he knew, Twinkle was angry on him, he wanted to make this day a special one for her.

He bought the same baby pink flowers which he couldn't give her the last time. When he came back from the florist, Twinkle was in the kitchen. She was startled when Kunj unlocked the door.

T-'Ahh babaji', her hand came up to her heaving chest.

K- I'm sorry.I didn't mean to scare you.
He mumbled an apology. Twinkle's eyes shifted to his hand that was hiding something behind his back.

She pursed her lips and shook her head before she went back to doing whatever she was doing a minute ago. Kunj stared at her for a moment. Sometimes, it was hard to believe that after losing Tara, he was still able to fall in love and he was certain, if not for Twinkle he never would have.
It was her pure and innocent heart which made him to fall in love for a second time.

As she busied herself in the household work, his heart swelled with love and pride for her.

Kunj came behind her and hugged her tightly that she almost let out a scream. When she realised it was her husband's hands, she looked over her shoulder but she couldn't see his face since Kunj buried his face into her hair, inhaling her sweet scent.

K-Happy anniversary,jaan. He said huskily near her ear and that's when she noticed the bunch of roses in front of her.

She turned around within his embrace and looked shocked. She thought he wouldn't remember it but he did.

He was tracing a wet line with his lips on her shoulder blade, causing her knees to buckle and her hands going up on his arms for support.

K-I love you, Twinkle... I love you so much.... He mumbled against her hot skin which was turning red with his lovebites now.

Her heart fluttered and jumped hearing him say that but she wondered if he really meant it.

T-You are saying it just because of this baby, right? He heard her ask in a low whisper.

K-Do you still think that I am saying it just because you are carrying my child, Twinkle? Is that how little you think of me?He pulled away from her to look into her eyes.' Why can't you see how much I love you, baby?'

Twinkle's heart almost exploded but she had to alarm herself not to take in her lies. He could probably be planning something again. Now that Ansh was back home and Natasha was clearly unfit to take care of a child , Kunj might thought of keeping her here. After all she was here to take care of Ansh and his child is also growing in her womb.

Kunj was dying to touch her,kiss her and when he leaned in forward near her lips, she placed her hands in between them and pushed him away, 'But.. i heard you saying that....' she stopped midway unable to finish her sentence. Her eyes were beginning to brim with tears and her throat clogged with sorrow when she thought about the conversation.

K-Twinkle, I have my reasons for saying that to Natasha. She had came to negotiate with me and I was just recording the conversation between us, so that I can collect some evidence against her. That was the moment you walked in and misunderstood everything. He explained politely....

Twinkle wanted to believe him but her mind kept screaming otherwise. She was scared of getting hurt.

She snorted and walked away from him.

K- You still don't believe me, right?
Kunj asked angrily. He was losing his patience. Why did she have to be so stubborn with him?
'Alright, soon you will get to know that what i said is true. Then don't come to me, begging for my apology because I won't forgive you for crushing my heart again and again.' He spat before he walked away angrily.

She slumped on the stool nearby, dropping her head between her palms. She felt bad for hurting the one person she loved but she had to do it to keep her heart guarded from any more pain and heartbreaks.

The rest of the day, they kept away from each other. Twinkle had her final semester in a week and she had so much to catch up but she wasn't in a mood to study after their heated conversation in the morning. She couldn't go to her room since Kunj was napping there.

So instead,she decided to clean the guestroom which hasn't been cleaned in a long while. Tara's stuff was dumped there and she started with sorting them into separate boxes.
She was roughly folding her clothes and throwing them in a cartoon box when her eyes fell on a diary tucked under the piles of clothes. Opening it, she found Tara's name neatly written on the first page.

She knew it was not a good thing to read other's diary and was about to place it into the box when something fell down from it.
