When Twinkle didn't attend college even after 3 consecutive days, Alisha decided to pay her a visit at her home.
She was asked to wait in the living room by Anita while Mahi went to call Twinkle.

Alisha gasped when her eyes fell on those visible bruises on Twinkle's pale skin

A-Whats all this ??
She asked Anita and Mahi furiously

M-Its None of your business

A-Oh really it's none of my business.What if i go to police station and inform them about this.She said pointing to her friend's bruised face.

An-Do whatever you want.We don't care.Anita shrugged but Alisha didn't miss the nervous look on her ugly face
Alisha shook her head irritatingly and turned towards Twinkle

Twinkle took her in her room and closed the door behind them

A(angrily)-Twinkle kisne Kiya yeh?? Twinkle,who did this?)

T(sobbing)-Pa..pa .. ne..

Alisha's eyes also watered looking at her friend's state

A-What didn't you attend any of my calls??
She gently touched the purple skin on her cheek making her wince

A-Sorry

T(sobbing)-Its.. ok ...They took my phone.She said between her sobs
She told her what happened that night when she came back home .

A-I can't believe that these people can be so cruel to you.Why do they keep you here if they hate you so much?
Anger bubbled in her veins.She wanted to murder them all.

T-Alisha can you do me a favour ??

A-Kyu nahi batao kya karna hai??(Why not, tell me what to do?)

T-Kya tum Massi ko yeh bata sakti ho ki main yaha ab aur nahi rehna chahti.Itne saal main yaha rahi saare zulum sahe kyuki main apni padhai pura karna chahti hu,lekin ab yaha rehkar woh mumkin nahi hai.
She sniffed while trying to wipe her tears.(Can you inform massi that I don't want to live here anymore. For so many years I lived here, bore all the tortures because I wanted to complete my studies but now that won't be possible if i continued to stay here.)

A-Yeh sure i will do that.Yes you are right you should not stay in this house with these heartless people.
She applied ointments on her wounds and talked to her for sometime to divert her mind from those terrible people whom she called family.

Alisha went straight to Nisha's house who was constantly trying to call Twinkle but was worried when she didn't get any response from Twinkle.

N-Glad you came i was just about to go her home.

Alisha narrated her everything what she saw there and also told her Twinkle's message that she wants to get out of that house.

N-Meri bacchi .She placed her arm over her chest.I am going to kill RT for doing that to my baby girl .
Nisha clenched her teeth together .She has known RT from her school days.He loved her sister so much but that man changed a lot after her death.
When he treated Twinkle badly all these years she thought may be he was grieving over his dead wife but beating and torturing your own child is not acceptable she thought.

N-I have to get her out of that hell before they kill her.

A-Aunty you know it's not easy all these years they treated her as an unpaid maid.Anita wouldn't let her go without putting up a fight.

N-Lekin iss baar Twinkle khud yeh chahti hai toh yeh itna mushkil nahi hoga.Aur ab woh 21 saal ki ho gayi hai
usse pura right yeh decide karne ka ki usse kaha rehna hai.(But this time Twinkle herself wants this so it won't be that hard. And now she's 21 and she has all the rights to decide where she wants to live.)

They discussed what they should do next.She still had a year to complete at Medical College

N-I will bring her here.Woh jab Tak chahe yaha reh sakti hai.(She can stay here as long as she wants.)
She said picking up her phone and bag from the table.

A-My uncle is a cop .I asking him to come there in case if they make any fuss to let her come with you.
Alisha said going through her contact list dialing her uncle's number.

N-Thats great

Soon they reached there

Rt-What are you doing here??
He asked Nisha being annoyed.Its not like that he hates her but she made him remind the good time he spent
with her sister.

She pushed him aside and entered inside

N-Twinkle.. Twinkle she shouted

Anita who was sitting on couch got up and glared Alisha for calling Nisha for help.

An-What do you think you are doing??

Nisha ignored that bitch and continued to call her niece louder this time.
Twinkle was on her bed trying to sleep when she heard her voice.She ran downstairs and pounced on her and hugged her tightly

T(sobbing badly)-Ma..ss..i..

Nisha pulled her away and ran her eyes over her body.
N-Oh my god Rt!How could you do this to her?What did she ever do to you??

Her eyes swelled with bitter tears.
N-I hate my sister for falling in love with a monster like you.I am going to take her wilth me.

A-You can't do that.

Nisha snapped her head at Anita with a murderous glare that made her instantly shut up

N-Then stop me if you can
She said in challanging tone

A(whined)-Rt say something,you can't let her take your daughter away .

What she is going to do without Twinkle?Who would do the household work she thought
Much to her disappointed Rt was just standing there saying nothing.

Mr Taneja i am Jagdeep Mishra,Deputy police officer.
Anita turned to unfamiliar voice behind them and gulped loudly when she heard who it was.
Alisha was standing beside him with a victorious smirk.

"I can throw you all in jail for abusing Twinkle but i don't want to put your family through all that those shame.
I hope you would want the same,am i right Ms.Taneja.He turned his gaze towards Anita and raised his brow.

A-Y..es. Off..icer..

Good !!Now let her aunt take her home and if I see anyone of you anywhere near her , believe me i wouldn't think twice before arresting you.Is that understood??Officer asked in a stern voice making everyone shiver

Y..es S..ir.. Rt and Anita mumbled in unison

N-Twinkle pack your bags,let's go home.
Twinkle nodded and left,Alisha ran behind her to help her in packing

After some minutes Twinkle and Alisha came down with two small bags.She didn't have much to take except her books and clothes which again given to her by her Massi.

Nisha had literally begged Twinkle several times to leave that house and stay with her but Twinkle refused hoping that her father would love her one day.Also she didn't want to burden her recently windowed aunt who working hard to pay the debts left by her husband for her.

Now she had no other way it was high time for her to leave the house and start a new life.She might take a few more jobs to help her Massi.

Is that all?? Officer asked eyeing her bags

Yes sir, Twinkle nodded

Officer -Let me help you,he carried the bags to his car and turned to Alisha.
Alisha,beta.Its very late,your mother must be worrying.You should go home now.He said guiding her to her car.

Don't worry about your friend.I will drop them at their place.He assured when he saw her looking at Twinkle worriedly.

A-Twinkle i will come to see you tomorrow,okay

T-Thanks Alisha
She hugged her and cried

A-Shh.. it's all over now.She rubbed her back soothingly to calm her.

Officer dropped Twinkle and Nisha at their home

N-Thank you for your help officer

Officer -No problem,call me if you need anything.
He wished them a good night and walked away

"Come beta",Nisha left her inside the house.She was staying alone here after both her children started working in another city.She was glad that now Twinkle is staying with her.

Nisha prepared a hot meal and made Twinkle eat with her own hands ,they had their food in comfortable silence.

T-I am so sorry Massi ,meri wajah se apko itni pareshani hui.( I'm so sorry Massi, you had to face trouble because of me).

N-Nahi beta,Maine hamesha tumhe apni beti mana hai aur main bahut khush hu ki meri beti mere saath rehne wali hai.She caressed her head lovingly and wiped her unshed tears.
(No my child, I had always considered you as my own daughter and I'm so happy that my daughter is going to live with me.)

Twinkle got up and washed their plates even after Nisha's insistence

That night she slept peacefully on the softest bed that she had ever slept.

After few weeks
Twinkle was getting lot of pampering by her Massi .All she has to do is eat, sleep and study.

Twinkle had placed her head in her massi's lap and was flipping through the channels when the bell rang.

When she opened the door she saw her massi's friend Avantika standing there.

T-Namaste Aunty andar aaye na.(Nasmate; Indian greeting Aunty,come inside.)
She opened the door wider for her

A-Namaste beta i didn't know you were here.

T-Yeah you will see more of me from now on.She grinned at her but she didn't understand what she meant
Where is Ansh?she asked walking behind her in living room

A-Ansh uske papa ke saath Ghar pe hai.Agar pata hota ki tum yaha ho toh usse zaroor laati.(Ansh is at home with his father.If I knew you would be here i would have brought him with me.)

T-Koi nahi agli baar le aayega kyunki main toh ab yehi rahne wali hu(It's fine, bring him next time because now I'm going to live here only.)

N-Arey Avantika tum she got up from couch to greet her friend.(Hey Avantika you.)

Twinkle were inside kitchen and came back with two glasses of water.

A-Thanks beta
She took the glass and looked closely at Twinkle she is really very beautiful she thought

T-Massi i have some work.Give me voice if you need anything.
She said and went her room

A(curiously)-"She lives here"?

N-Long story to tell.
She told her everything .

Avantika moved back to Amritsar after the tragic death of her daughter in law.She hadn't meet Twinkle before and was not aware about Rt's cold behaviour towards her.
It pained her heart to know that she had to go through all this suffering because of her own family members

She seemed to be sweet girl and she wondered how people could do something like that to such a pure soul.She remained silent for a moment pondering over it.

N-She just left a year in her college and i want her to complete it without any trouble.

Avantika's eyes sparkled as a thought crossed her mind."May i ask you something" she asked carefully

N-Whats it?

A-You know my son has lost his wife in an accident right?

N-Yes i do

A-I am so worried that he would spend rest of his life alone.
Nisha wasn't getting what her friend was trying to say.
I am looking for a wife for my son who can not only take care of my son but grandson also.From what i see, Twinkle is all i am looking for.She is beautiful, sensible and responsible.
In return i promise you that i would support her both morally and financially to complete her studies.

She looked at her friend eagerly for response but all Nisha did was open her mouth and then close it,not knowing what to say.

N-I don't know Avantika i have to talk to her first.

A- Offcourse take your time and let me know what you decide.She got up taking her bag

There was no doubt Twinkle was like a daughter to Nisha however, it was not in her hands to make decisions for her especially this type of .

When she thought more about it she thought it was best for Twinkle.She had known Kunj since he was a boy.
She knew that he was a well mannered and respectful person.Now he had lost his wife he needed someone like her Twinkle to mend his broken heart and to be a caring mother for his son Ansh

Nisha immediately went upstairs to knock at Twinkle's door and waited for her to open it.

N-Did i disturb you beta??
She took a seat on her bed

T-Not at all she put her books aside and took a seat near her

N-I have something to discuss with you

T-What is it?
She didn't like the sudden seriousness in Nisha's face

N-You know Ansh lost his mother in a car accident right??

T-Yeah she nodded

N-Its been an year since her death
Now Avantika is in search of a wife for his son Kunj.I had known him since he was born.

Twinkle listened to her Massi silently but she didn't get what she has to do with this information

N-What i am about to ask may come as a shock to you but remember it i will always think in your best interest.
She grabbed her palm in her hands

After gathering the courage she said "I want you to marry him Twinkle"

Twinkle was taken a back when her Massi was telling her all this she didn't expect that she would ask her to marry him out of nowhere .What she supposed to say in return she thought

She still had a year to complete her studies and marriage was never on her mind.She looked down at her palm.Was she becoming a burden on her massi by staying at her home she wondered

As if reading her mind Nisha spoke again. Listen honey don't think that I am forcing you into it.I would never do that.It is finally up to you to decide if you want to get married or not.And don't think that I want you to marry off someone to send you away from here.I swear that is not my intention.

I want you to stay here as long as you want but at the same time I want you to be happy and loved.All i am saying is Kunj is a good person and he would keep you happy.And moreover Avantika promised you that she would help you financially to complete your studies

Twinkle kept quiet for a while to process everything.

T-Can i think about it ??
She asked after a whole five minutes

N- Offcourse beta and remember i love you.She kissed her forehead and left the room.

Twinkle couldn't sleep more than a wink that night.She tossed and turned on her bed, thinking about the proposal.

Was she ready to marry?

Will she be happy marrying a widower?

But how will she manage between her studies and married life?

Then suddenly she remembered about Little Ansh.If she wasn't going to marry his father,then someone else would sure.What if his step mother turned out like hers ,cruel and heartless?What if she hurts him emotionally and physically?He is such a sweet baby.No child deserves to be treated like her especially not Ansh.

For the next few days she could not take her mind off Ansh.She couldn't concentrate on her studies or do anything else properly, in that case until she came up with a decision , agreeing to marry Kunj for sake of Ansh.She knew this probably would be the dumbest decision ever,to get married but she didn't care.

Massi,she walked into her kitchen

N-Haa beta kuch chahiye tumhe?(Yes beta, do you need something?)

"I-I" she cleared her throat several times but her lump didn't seem to leave."i will..i will marry him",she said in a mere whisper Nisha thought she almost Missed it.

N-Really? Oh my God .You made me so happy.She hugged her tightly before running out of kitchen to inform her friend.
