Every girl that Yuvraj ever met ,threw themselves at him and then there was Twinkle who totally refused to go out with him.Alisha was the only one who said she has feelings for him yet didn't try to impress him in anyway.

It was surprising to him that he had never seen her in it that way until the day she confessed her feelings to him but the moment he got to know,he couldn't take off his mind from her.

He had to admit that she looked cute when she was mad at him.He had played around with many girls for so long but now it was time to do the serious relationship thing.He knew she wasn't the time of fool around like other girls that he had dated before and she hadn't been with anyone before.He was just looking for the right time to talk to her.

On the last day of the camp,he felt a bit hot in his room and he decided to come out for some fresh air.Walking towards the lawn, he saw Alisha sitting on one of the benches in the lawn.If he missed this chance he might never get one,he thought.He didn't waste any other minute and walked towards her sitting on the bench beside her.When she saw sitting him beside her ,she almost lost her breath.With her furrowed eyebrows she prepared to get up but he held her hand.

Uv- Can we talk?

Alisha glanced at him for some seconds before sitting down again without any protest.She could swear that she saw a gleam of excitement in his eyes.

Uv- It's a clear sky night, isn't it?
He said looking up in the sky and Alisha couldn't help but roll her eyes at him.

A-Yuvraj, what is it you want to tell me?I don't have the whole night.
She said being annoyed

Uv-Ok ,ok, chill tigress.He chortled shifting so that he was facing her now.He sighed a few times before starting.
'Alisha,i swear i am pursuing Twinkle anymore .I am aware that she is married and has a loving family but i am sorry if I made you think that way'
He said and Alisha could see honesty in his eyes.
'And i had no idea that you had feelings for me' .That was when things became awkward all of a sudden.

A(internally)- Great now he is going to make me more embarrassed and uncomfortable than before.
She looked everywhere but at him.She felt like she was going to die of shame and wanted to smack herself
for ever revealing it to him.

' I must have been really stupid for admitting it to him.He is definitely going to say sorry and that he doesn't have feelings for me.'

Uv- I had no feelings for you, Alisha cut him off.

A- I know you don't like me more than a friend and it's ok, Yuvraj.So, is that all?Can i go now? She began to walk away trying to keep her head down but yelped when he pulled her down again.

Uv- I am not done here, Alisha.He was somewhere becoming irritated with her constant haughtiness.
Listen to me fully before you jump into conclusions.

There faces were just an inch apart and all she could think about is his masculine scent that was hitting her nostrils.

He noticed the tears that were brimming in her eyes.He felt intense hurt as he looked at her.He held her face between his palms and brought her even more closer.

Alisha's heart was beating ten times faster than normal.The voice in her head asked her to run but that was impossible as Yuvraj was holding her tightly.

Uv- It's true that i didn't think of you more than a friend at that time but these few weeks have been really hard for me after you confessed your feelings.
He loosened his hands from her face.
She didn't know if she was relieved or sad when he finally let go of her and moved away slightly.

Uv- If you...still feel the same about me then i would like to ask you to date me.

Her mouth gaped with awe at that and her heart was thumping crazily at her chest.She felt dizzy as the rush of hormones engulfed around her.She cleared her throat few times before saying anything.She wanted to agree to him immediately but then thought it would make her look very desperate,he decided against it.

A- Can i decide and tell you later?
She asked snobbishlya and he flashed an amuse smile at her.

Uv- Take your time but not too much because I am eager to date you.
He winked at her.

Alisha couldn't hide her smile anymore and as she grinned like an idiot.

The next day, Twinkle was packing her things when she noticed the permanent smile on Alisha's face that made her look like an idiot.

T-Why are you grinning non stop?
She asked smacking her shoulder a little.

A-Hmm... Yuvraj asked me for date.She said shyly.

T-Oh my God! When?

A-Last night.She turned around to pack her dress into bag and hide her blush.

T-Really? I am so happy for you Alisha
She wound her arms around her shoulder and hugged her feeling truly joyous for her friend.

T-So...what else happened last night?
She nudged at her arm.

A-Shut up ,Twinkle .She fred herself from her friend's grip making Twinkle laugh.

T-What did you say in return?

A(proudly)- I said I would decide and tell him.

T(shrieked)- But why?

A-Because i want to make him wait just like he made me wait.
She shrugged her shoulder coolly.

T-You are crazy... you know that right?
You shouldn't delay saying something you want to...

A-Oh ho..See who is talking? Did you ever tell jiju you love him?
She mocked her back.Twinkle looked flushed deeply.
There was no way she could tell him that.

T(chuckling)- Fine..All i am telling you is don't make Uv wait for too long.

A-I won't,she replied giggling.

In the evening Twinkle met Alisha and Yuvraj who were flirting near the reception desk of the hotel in which they were staying at.Ahe grinned at them mischievously before handing her keys to the receptionist.
'Thanks',she muttered and made her way towards them.

A-What took you so long?

T-I wanted to give you both more time to flirt.
She replied making Alisha blush and Uv laugh.

They got into the bus where took window seat and Alisha sat beside her.Uv took the seat on Alisha's left.He leaned towards her so that they could talk to each other even with the gap between them.

Twinkle was really happy for her friends.She pulled out her phone and headset from her bag to call Kunj.She missed Kunj and Ansh like crazy and couldn't wait to meet them.

K-Hey jaan, have you started.
She could sense the excitement in his voice as well.

T-Yup,we have boarded the bus and we will be reaching there in two hours.

K- That's awesome.We will be waiting for you in your college to pick you up from there.

T-Great, how's Ansh?

K-He is fine but he missed you a lot.

T-I missed him too and i also missed his dada.

She heard him groan
K-I missed you too sweetheart.

T(boldly)-Really how much did you miss me?

K(huskily)-Get home soon and i will show you how much i missed you.

Twinkle couldn't help herself but smiled shyly.Kunj laughed smugly knowing what her reaction would be.

T-Okay,bye

K-See you soon,baby.
She felt the goosebumps crawling over her skin with the endearment.
She wondered if she could ever get used to him calling that.

From the way Alisha was looking at her, Twinky'knew the colour of her cheeks was rising and she would be looking like a beetroot.

T- What? She tried to act coolly.

A-Nothing ,she teased her and got a slight jab on her arm in return.

Twinkle put on her headphones and started listening to music.She didn't want to disturb the love birds beside her and closed her eyes. The past few days were really hectic for all of them, running around the patients, providing free checkups and treatment. Twinkle just wanted to go home and get a peaceful night's sleep but doubted if she would get that from what Kunj told her .And even if she was given a choice between sleeping and making love to Kunj ,she would choose the latter.

She didn't know when she fell into a deep slumber.

She opened her eyes to the constant vibration of her phone on her thighs.It was dark outside and everyone in the bus seemed to be sleeping.She looked at her phone screen and it was Kunj who was calling her .

T-Hello,she said in low voice

K-T...Twinkle , she was sure something was wrong with that tone .A..nsh...A..nsh is hurt.
He shuttered a few times.

T-What? What happened? What happened to Ansh?
She was loud enough to wake up everyone around her.Alisha woke up startled and put her hands on Twinkle's shoulders.

Kunj seemed like he was hyperventilating. 'We were hit by a truck '.

T-A truck?

K-Yes and Ansh is hurt.He said in cracked voice.

Twinkle covered her mouth into her palms but she had to calm down for Kunj's sake.
T-Kunj ,calm down. Take him to the nearby hospital .I will be there in half an hour.She instructed him

K-The ambulance is here .I will call you back.She heard the line went blank immediately.

A- What's wrong? She asked distressfully . Yuvraj looked worried beside her.

T- Kunj's car was hit by a truck .Ansh is hurt.She cried into her chest.

Uv- Oh my God! How bad is it?

T-I don't know,she shook her head but
sounds serious.They are on their way to the hospital.

A-Okay..shh..calm down...We will be reaching there soon ,okay?
Alisha tried to calm her down.

Soon all her classmates started to surround her seeing Twinkle cry silently .They tried to console her but she kept weeping until they reached their college campus.She almost jumped out of bus and Yuvraj drove them to the hospital where Ansh was admitted.

Reaching the hospital she saw Kunj leaning his head into his both palms,
resting his elbow on his lap. Avantika was patting his back to comfort him.

'Kunj' , Twinkle ran next to him and as he heard her voice he jumped onto his feet.

'Twinkle',she noticed his eyes were red and moist from crying ans and his shirt had lot of blood on it.She ran her eyes all over him and noticed some bruises on his face and elbow which were left untreated .She knew he wouldn't want to get treated when Ansh was in such a condition.
She engulfed him into a tight hug and rubbed his back.Kunj could feel his shirt getting soaked with her silent tears.

Uv-How is he?
He asked after sometime

K-I seriously don't know but the doctor is examining him.They won't let me go in.
Kunj said pulling away and rubbing his beard chin with frustration.

Uv- Calm down,man. I am sure Ansh will be alright.
He patted on Kunj's shoulder before walking into doctor's cabin to have a talk with him about Ansh's condition.

Alisha was trying to calm Twinkle and Avantika.
Soon doctor walked out with Yuvraj trailing behind him.

K(impatiently)- Doctor, how's my son?

D- He is out of danger but has lost a lot blood and we may need to transfer blood urgently. Ansh's blood group is rere type.Since you are his parents, your blood group may match with his.

K-Sure...take all you need.
He said pushing his shirt sleeve above his elbow.

D- And you his mom? He asked Twinkle

T(mindlessly)- Yes doctor

D- Please get in. Let's check if your blood match is a for his.

The nurse guided them in a room where everyone gave their blood samples hoping that someone's blood would match with Ansh's.They had to wait half an hour before results came out.It felt like the longest few minutes of their lives before the doctor finally walked out with a flustered look on his face.

D- I am sorry to say but none of your blood group matched with Ansh's.
Are you two his parents? He asked pointing at Kunj and Twinkle.Kunj stayed silent thinking how to tell this.

Twinkle saw the helpless look on Kunj's face.She had never felt so remorse for not being Ansh's birth mother like she did now.She never imagined that she would say that she wasn't his mother at any point of life, until now but God really proved to be cruel to her like always.

T- I am not his mother... doctor.Her voice was a mere whisper.'I am his step mother.'
She wanted to bury herself under the ground for saying something like that.

D-Okay that explains.His blood doesn't match with yours as well Mr.Sarna .So the only two options we are left with is to wait for a matching donor or call his biological mother , which seems to be better option to me right now.He suggested

Everyone grasped while Kunj slumped down on the chair as he ran his palm over his face.

D- What's wrong?
He asked seeing everyone's blank expression.

A- Doctor, Ansh's mother is no more.
Avantika said when she found her voice back.

D- I'm sorry,i have informed the blood bank .I guess we will have to wait for their call.Saying that doctor walked away.

There was a long silence. Twinkle knew how the blood banks delayed things in such situations.It would only put Ansh's life at more risk.She thought of any other possibility to make it work.

T-Kunj,how about we call Tara's family?There is a slight possibility that their blood could match with Ansh's.
She said putting her hand on his arm.

K-Is it possible?He asked with a hope gleaming in his eyes.

Uv-There are chances.He too agreed.

Kunj just prayed that Natasha wasn't out of town like always.His hands were trembling as he pulled out his phone and dialled her number.

N-Wow! What a pleasant surprise, Kunj!

K-Natasha, where are you?

N-At home..why? And how's Ansh.She sensed his panic.

K-I will tell you everything now please hurry up and come to City hospital . Please bring your parents as well.

N- What's wrong? she asked as she got up from bed and changed her clothes.

K-Ansh is hurt,he needs blood.

N-What the fuck did you say?He is hurt? How?And did his step mother doing until he got hurt?

Kunj sighed
K-Natasha, please i beg you come here as fast as possible.We can talk everything later.He was in no mood to explain her anything.

N-I am on my way.She said opening the door and alerting her parents about the situation.

Kunj kept pacing up and down. Twinkle sat on the chair, pinching the bridge of her nose.She had to remind herself that she was a doctor because she seemed to forget that often and
behaved like an ordinary mother.
She understood the reason why doctors aren't allowed to treat their family members.

They all turned around when they heard the clicking sound of the heels on the tiled floor.

N-What the hell were you doing bitch?She looked like she was about to pounce on Twinkle.
Her parents came running behind her and shot a glare at Twinkle.

'Did he hurt or it was you who hurt him?Her mother Sudha asked Twinkle as Natasha walked too closer to Twinkle.

T-W..what? She was clueless to what she was suggesting as she took a few steps backwards.

Kunj would have yanked Natasha away if she was not his last hope on this damn planet.

K-Natasha,stop it.Ansh needs blood urgently. Let's not waste time.
He took them into the room and asked nurse to take their blood samples.

Twinkle remained calm praying that
someone's blood would match with Ansh's. After a few minutes she heard them walk out of lab.

N-Now tell me ,what did you do?
Natasha asked Twinkle once again crossing her arms in front of her

K-Natasha, stop blaming Twinkle for this She was not even with us when we were hit by a truck. He said with a irritated scowl on his face.

N- You were hit by a truck? And where was she by the way ?
She was stubborn enough to bring Twinkle into this.

Av(firmly)- Look Natasha we don't have to answer any of your questions and stop blaming Twinkle for this.

N- Really? I am Ansh's Massi and i have full rights to know what actually happened.

Kunj huffed
K-Look, Twinkle was on a medical camp and we were going to pick her up when all this happened.

N-On a medical camp?She shifted her eyes between Twinkle and Kunj.

N(sarcastically)- I thought you married her so that she can take care of your son.

Kunj looked down scratching his forehead unable to argue with her in such a situation.

N-See this is why you should have married me.I was ready to give up my career and be a full time mother for Ansh but know you had to get her instead.

Kunj's palm twisted into a ball with anger and when he was about to yell at her,the doctor walked out from his room.

D-None of their blood samples marches with Ansh's but the good news is blood bank has got a match.

Everyone sighed in relief and Twinkle buried her face into Kunj's chest and cried .Even though she was calming down a little ,there was a nagging feeling at her head which was eating her alive from inside.She wondered how come Ansh's blood didn't match with Kunj's or from anyone from Tara's family, but then she shook away all her negative thoughts , remembering the doctor said Ansh's blood group is rare type .She thought it might have matched with Tara's if she was alive.
