Aaradhya's POV

I am so so happy! Finally!

Finally, I am so close in making my mom proud of me. Finally, I am so close to my dream. Finally, I am so close in fulfilling my wishes.

And finally, I am far away from all the pain.

Yesterday afternoon I got the confirmation mail from M & S Group of Industries! I still can't believe among the lakhs of people, I am one of the top 8 selected.

I have been called for the final presentation round tomorrow. We will be given a week to complete our project and only the best ones will be selected.

I hope I am one of them. *sigh*

It had been almost 8 months since I was working in SJ Pvt Ltd when things started going downhill. Our head of department died and a new one was appointed.

She is a female. She reduced our pay and also increased our work load. I even started working overtime but never got acknowledged for that.

Last year I had applied in M & S but I did not get the placement. Since they do not have any age restrictions, I applied this year again and finally got selected.

"Aaradhya?"

"Yes?" I asked her coming out of my thoughts.

Right now I was at Niharika's cafe with Sharan.

Okay, don't assume. He's just a friend. In fact a bit more closer than a friend but not too close to be a boyfriend. He had been a great support to me and my family in our hard times.

When I shifted here from New York, Sharan and Niharika were my first two friends and are pretty close to me.

"Is something wrong?" Niharika asked sipping her coffee.

Yes. Vihaan sir. I wanted to say that aloud. 

"No, why do you ask that?" I frowned

"You seem lost" she told me looking straight into my eyes. Her strong gaze piercing me, indirectly telling me not to lie.

But I did anyway.

"Hey! But now everything is going to be fine" Sharan exclaimed "Finally you are just one step away from your dream."

"It doesn't seem safe." Niharika said suddenly. I frowned at what she was saying.

"What?"

"Hmm.. hmm.. I checked some details about your company. Vihaan Singhania is quite good.."

"I know.. he was polite during the interview too." I cut her in between.

"Yeah but Raghav Malhotra.. he's quite weird. Kind of a lusty person. Once he lays his eyes on a girl, he makes sure to get her in bed by hook or crook." She looked at me worried while Sharan too frowned.

God! I have such protective friends.

"And you were researching on him and the company since that day right? That's why you were so busy on my interview day." I smiled sarcastically.

"And who gave you this information?" I asked glaring at her.

"I found out. I read all articles related to him. Saw all his interviews on YouTube and even scanned his Twitter profile." She told me.

"Like seriously!? This is unbelievable." I was shocked.

I mean who does that!

"Okay, I agree. It's true." Suddenly Sharan said.

Well, let me tell you all, Sharan also works there since 1 year. He got the placement last year.

"But what makes it so difficult?" I asked.

"Don't tell me you're not getting it Aaradhya. I mean.. you look pretty, you are beautiful and innocent too. You remember how boys used to flirt with you?"

I know she is concerned.

"Yeah I do. But now I've grown up. I can handle things. I will not let him come into my life." I reasoned as I couldn't let the job go.

"She's got a point Aaradhya. Raghav sir is not what you think. He's a difficult person to handle. Girls are just use and throw for him" he said quoting "use and throw" in air.

"Look Aaradhya. I know it's your dream. I am just informing you. You can take this as a warning. I mean.. at least you'll be safe and will be alert in case he tries to do something." Niharika told me.

"Okay guys! I still have the last round left." I smiled "So we can think about this later too. First let me get a job there." I chuckled trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

"Besides I am there to protect you." Sharan said taking me in a side hug while I smiled at him.

"Just be careful and if you sense any trouble you can tell me." He said smiling back.

I nodded while my mind was revolving around what Niharika had said.

Night

Raghav's POV

"Vihaan what's wrong?" I asked him. I have been noticing him since a few days. He is acting a bit weird.

"What?" He asked me amazed as I rolled my eyes.

"It's pretty evident, something is up in your mind. What is it?"

He sighed as he continued "I don't know.. this new...."

Just then my phone rang. I excused myself to answer the call. When I came back, he was busy watching TV.

I walked towards him. He didn't look at me. I continued with my drink thinking about what would be the reason for this behaviour from Vihaan.

As far as I know, it has to be something serious. Vihaan is never the kind of person who is all lost in his own thoughts. He is very expressive, as compared to me.

"Raghav?" He asked suddenly.

"Yeah?"

"Can you give me your phone for a second?"

I looked at him weirdly. "No." I said. I never show my phone to anybody.

He rolled his eyes at my answer.

"Chuck it. I'll find it myself." He got up from the couch leaving the room.

I frowned. What was he going to find?

"Hello? Vihaan.. wait.."

But he went without listening. I sighed. This guy sometimes gets on my nerves. Ughhh..

Precap: "Sir.. please..don't.." I was crying by now. I thought he was a nice person but looks can be deceptive.

I was so scared that I crouched down at the corner of the cabin trying to save myself from the dread. Was I truly going to be r*ped?

So I noticed something funny. Aaradhya's chapter has more views than Raghav's.

Looks like everyone is interested in Aaradhya and doesn't like Raghav.😂
