Aaradhya's POV

Walking in a simple yellow saree for the haldi function, I looked around at the decorations. This time the haldi was in the temple and the decoration looked amazing.

I must say, the wedding planners Vihaan had choosen were amazing. I looked around to see everyone giggling, laughing and chatting.

That is when I noticed something. I smirked. So this the reason why Niharika was busy huh.

"Ishita, go call Niharika from there." I pointed out at the place where she was standing with Vihaan.

"Yea you sit here, I'll call her." She made me sit in the mandap and went towards Niharika.

"Look everyone the groom is here!" Someone from the crowd said and I looked at Raghav walking towards me with a charming smile.

"Looking awesome man.. super awesome" Vihaan laughed coming towards us.

I smiled at Raghav and he winked as he sat beside me on the mandap. Niharika stood beside me and I tugged her hand down so that she bends towards me.

"What were you doing there huh? You told me you were busy, now I get it, your busy means Vihaan huh?" I said with a teasing smile.

"Hey! No.. nothing like that" she replied with a blush

"Then why are you blushing huh?" I laughed as she whispered "nothing, he was just talking about the caterers"

"Yea yea, I understand it very well" I teased while she hit my back and went to the other side.

That is when I noticed Raghav looking at me. He raised his eyebrows asking what's the matter and I said nothing by shaking my head.

"Okay so let's start with the function" Maa announced

Maa started applying the haldi to Raghav first. Then she did the other rituals like sprinkling the sacred water and turned to me.

She did the same and kissed my forehead with a teary smile.

One by one everyone applied the haldi to us and by the end of the ceremony we could not recognise each other's face.

Then we were given the bath after haldi.

After that mom asked us to go to the rooms available in the temple for taking an actual bath and changing into fresh clothes.

"And I give strict instructions to you guys, you shouldn't meet or see each other now." She said and I nodded.

I went with Niharika and Ishita taking a last look at Raghav's back.

Afternoon

"Are you sure I can't come?" Raghav whined over the phone.

It was a rest day today after all the functions till the wedding tomorrow. And we were all in our rooms in the hotel.

"Hey! I didn't see your friend Sharan in any of the ceremonies?" He asked

"Yea he said he'll join directly for the haldi. But I didn't see him today" I replied with a frown.

"Oh that's fine. Probably he'll directly turn up for the wedding." Raghav said and I sighed.

"Hey Aaradhya! tomorrow 4 am you have to wake up. Inform him." Niharika said walking inside my room and I nodded.

"Raghav..."

"Yea I heard that" he said. "Day after Tomorrow night we have our flight back home." He said

"Yea Vihaan told me. Now you go and rest for a while. I'll call you later." I said and he whined.

Speaking for more 5 minutes, he finally cut the call.

"So? Miss bride.. done talking to the groom?" Niharika said with a teasing smile and I gave her a sarcastic smile in return "you don't even tease me on that. What is going on with Vihaan and you?"

She immediately looked away "Wh..what is going on? Nothing is going on"

"Yea I can see that" I replied rolling my eyes.

"He's so helpful and caring. He is so different from the other rich people I've usually heard of. He's a kind hearted.. "

"Oh wait wait wait. Put a break on that 'praising car' of yours." I said with a smile.

"On a serious note, you like him.. don't you?" I asked and she nodded with a blush.

"Awwwwww" I laughed looking at her and she blushed more.

Then I remembered about Sharan.

"By the way, do you know why Sharan didn't turn up for the haldi today?" I asked with a frown

"Ohh yes! He told me to inform you that he missed his flight. So he's coming tonight. Don't worry babe. It's sorted." She smiled.

"I hope he's not angry... Is he holding any grudges about the love thing yet?" I asked her.

"I don't really know Aaradhya. He is just texting me. Not even speaking over the phone. I don't know if he actually wants to come or he's just finding excuses." She said with a dejected sigh.

"Hey! What are you guys doing?" Ishita said coming inside the room.

"Ishu at least knock and come naaaa" I said and she just shrugged it away.

"So? What were you guys talking about?" She asked sitting on the bed beside us.

"We were talking about Raghav" Niharika replied and Ishita rolled her eyes.

"You don't have any other topic except Jiju or what?" She said and I laughed.

"By the way di, why don't you post a picture of any of the rituals?" She asked

"Because your Raghav jiju will invite the media and declare it to them himself day after tomorrow." Niharika smiled

I looked at her with wide eyes "Oh.My.God. who told you this?" I asked shocked

"Vihaan" she blushed and I rolled my eyes ignoring her and walking to the balcony with my phone.

Raghav immediately picked up, as if he was waiting for my call.

"Yes madam? Missing me already?" He said with a laugh

"Cut the crap. What is this media announcement and all?" I asked directly.

"Woahhhhhh!!! Who told youuuuu!?" He asked shocked himself at what I told him.

"Niharika told me." I said with a frown.

He was silent for a minute before shouting aloud cursing "Vihaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!! F*ck you!!!"

"Vihaan! Did you tell Niharika about the media?" He asked.

"Yes why?"

"You bloody Idiot it was a surprise for her!!!" He shouted and I sighed. I think I shouldn't have asked him.

"Why would you surprise Niharika?" Vihaan asked in a confused tone

"You f*cking idiot! It was a surprise for Aaradhya! Who asked you to tell Niharika about this! And who the f*ck asked her to tell Aaradhya about it?" I sighed

"Raghav? Raghav!!?" I called out but no use. I cut the call and dialled again.

He picked up immediately "Raghav it's fine baba. I know it was a surprise but it's fine. I'm still surprised." I said and he sulked.

"Ok don't whine like a kid now." I chuckled.

"It was a surprise. Now I have to plan another surprise just because of your stupid friend." He said and I heard Vihaan's voice from behind "Hey! She's not stupid!"

"Yeah we know what is going on between you both" Raghav snapped and again spoke to me "So? Ready for the wedding tomorrow?" He asked and I smiled "All ready"

He chuckled and asked about what I would do in the evening and other stuffs.

After I was done talking to him, I slept for a while.

In the evening, mom came to meet me while I was reading an e book.

"So? All set for the marriage?" She asked looking at me and I nodded keeping my phone aside.

She caressed my hair with a sigh "I still can't believe it's your wedding. I wish your dad was here." She said as tears clouded in her eyes.

Seeing her that way I cried at the harsh memories. "Maa, I don't want you to remember that, please..." She nodded and hugged me.

"You know I used to think, one day when you will get married and leave us, what am I going to do without you. I used to fear this day. And today finally, your The Day is here. I didn't know how we would manage without you. But I'm glad, Vihaan is here now." She smiled

"You know, you are very much lucky Raghav doesn't have a sibling.... because..." She cried and I consoled her

"I understand. You don't have to say it. Please.." I said knowing fully well what she wanted to say.

"Please take care of Raghav and be a good wife. From what I have known, he is a very sensitive and emotional man. But he hates to show it to the world. And you are again quite lucky because he shows that vulnerable side to you." She continued and I nodded.

"I know I don't have to say this, but it would be your first night tomorrow. Though, in the hotel, it's still your first night. Every mother tells her child, you should do what your husband says." I nodded as I gulped.

"But I would not say that." I frowned looking at her. She smiled.

"Yes, a husband and wife's relation should be above this forceful consummation. If you are not ready, ask him to give you time. And make him understand that. You both should have a level of understanding and trust. At the same time, you should ask him as well if he is ready for this." I frowned again

"You think only girls are nervous? Boys are nervous too about this night. Raghav might belong to a different category, but it's true. Knowing how sensitive he is, I am saying it to you. Even you should ask him if he really wants it or not. Even boys deserve to be cared right?" I nodded with a small smile.

"And give him his time if he wants that." She said. "You know your dad and I spent our entire first night talking about each other, knowing each other. And the next couple of days went into sleeping because we were very much tired." She chuckled and I laughed.

"So know that first night is not all about making love or anything. It's about understanding each other because you have to spend the rest of your lives together." She said finally kissing my forehead.

"Thanks maa. I'm going to miss you" I replied with tears.

She hugged me and patted my back. "It's okay bacche. I won't be very far. You can come anytime."

"I really needed to talk about this. I'm glad you came" I said and she smiled and kissed my forehead.

"And of course, if you both are ready you can have a blissful night." She winked getting up from the bed and I kept blushing.

"Keep all your clothes ready for tomorrow. You have to wake up at 4." She said leaving the room.

I sighed. My wedding day was here.

Night

"But how can you be so careless? I told you about it na" I whined

"But Aaradhya, I am so sure I kept it right here." Niharika said searching it inside the cupboard.

"But di, how can you be so careless? You should be the one taking care of the necklace and not Niharika di" Ishita said searching it near the bed.

"How was I supposed to know that she would come there" I said glaring at Niharika.

Well yes, I went to have dinner in the hall downstairs and I had asked Niharika to take care of the necklace as she already had her dinner.

But like an absent minded person, she also joined us 10 mins later. And now we are searching for the necklace.

"But no one can come inside without the code lock. And only our family members know the code." Ishita said

"Does that mean someone from the family took it?" I asked and immediately picking up my phone I called maa.

"Yes beta?" She asked over the phone

"Maa do you have the necklace I wore yesterday."

"Yea. How careless can you be Aaradhya? You left it on the table in your room, so I brought it with me." She said and I sighed.

"I'm sorry maa. I'll take care next time" I replied glaring at Niharika.

"She took it."

"Oh thank god! I was so scared" Niharika replied and sighed as she lay down on the bed.

"You should be scared. I would have ripped off your head if it was not there." I said in an angry tone.

"Now thank god it's there. Relax" Ishita said and I nodded.

"Now sleep di. We have to wake up early tomorrow."

"Yeaaaa. Finally you're getting married babe. I'm happy for you" Niharika said giving me a hug.

We had a nice girl's time and then went off to sleep.

Morning

I was woken up by the loud ringing of my mobile. I groaned and switched off the alarm.

"Niharika! Aaradhya!! Get up" I heard mom knocking the door.

I opened it and told her we were up.

"Wake Ishu also and ask her to get ready in my room downstairs. Send Niharika also there. Only you get ready here."

"Okay" I replied closing the door.

Sending Niharika and Ishu to maa's room, I had a fresh shower.

"Aaradhya"

"Yes maasi?" I opened the door.

"Come, I'm here to help you get ready." She said going towards the mirror.

"Where is maa?"

"She's coming with the hair stylist and the make up artist"

After sometime, maa joined us and everyone was busy making me look like a typical south indian bride.

Ishita and Niharika were here too.

After getting ready into the bridal saree, the hair stylist started her work.

"Wow! You look gorgeous!!!" Maasi said and I blushed. "May God bless you" she kissed my forehead and left with the artists.

"You look so beautiful diiii" Ishu hugged me and kissing my cheek she left.

"I agree you don't look less than a queen. Raghav's queen" Niharika winked and hugged me.

"Aaradhya, here take this..." Maa said giving the bangles to me.

"These are my favourite bangles from my wedding. And I am giving this to you on this big day of your life. Keep it and have a happy life." She kissed my forehead with tears.

Niharika excused herself and went outside.

"Thank you maa" I replied hugging her.

"May God protect you from all the evils" she said applying kajal at the back of my ear.

"Now I'll see if Raghav is ready. I told Vihaan but I think I should check once" she said leaving the room.

Niharika came inside after she left. "Niharika? Any news about Sharan? Where is he?" I asked worried.

"I don't know Aaradhya. He's not even picking up the call." She said looking at her phone.

"But you don't worry, I'll try contacting him. You enjoy your wedding" she said with a smile and left downstairs.

After 10 mins she came back with her phone saying she had a message. "It's from Sharan, he said he's sorry as he couldn't get the other flight because it was cancelled. He will try coming tomorrow or for the reception." I nodded and shrugged the thought away.

But I was unable to let it go out of my mind.

After about 15 mins I was called to the mandap. Going downstairs I looked at the decorations.

I looked ahead at the beautifully decorated mandap.

And there I saw my man waiting for me in the traditional south indian attire for a groom.

I was made to sit opposite Raghav and a cloth was held as a curtain between us.

My maasi's husband was called as he performed the kanyadaan ritual.

The curtain was removed and Raghav stood up to tie the mangalsutram.

He also applied the Sindoor in the partition of my hair and a tear slipped out of my eye. Tear of joy.

He looked at me and smiled asking me not to cry as he shook his head.

He then made me wear the flower garland as I did the same. We were asked to take seven pheras of the holy fire. Ishita tied the end of my saree pallu to one end of Raghav's shawl.

At the end of the seven pheras, Raghav bent down and made me wear the silver Toe rings.

This signifies that the man has to bend in front of the woman in order to claim her as his.

The Panditji then declared that we were now husband and wife.

Everyone clapped in joy and maa came and hugged both of us. "God bless you both. Have a happy married life." She said and we took her blessings.

We then took the blessings of all other elders present there.

"Congratulations man!" Vihaan said hugging him and I blushed. He gave me a side hug and said "Congrats princess. Have a happy married life"

"Happy married life diii and Jiju!" Ishita said as she hugged me. Niharika also congratulated us.

From the temple we went to the hotel and were made to sit on the stage.

We sat there and chatted with others for sometime then were asked to have food.

I served Raghav and the photographer clicked the picture. He made me eat a bite too.

We were all happy. After eating, we went back to the stage where everyone started greeting us as they gave their gifts.

The photographer clicked our pictures with everyone separately.

At the end I was very tired and exhausted.

"Beta, I think you guys should go and rest for sometime." Maa said and I nodded.

I was taken to Raghav's room and was made to sit on the bed. I wondered why there were no decorations.

Suddenly I heard some voices outside the room.

"No no no! You think we'll let you enter inside so easily Jiju!" I chuckled at ishita's voice.

"What happened?" I asked going outside and Niharika immediately pushed me inside.

"You can't come out. And Raghav jiju, if you want to see her, you have to give what we ask for" Niharika said and I laughed

"Aaradhya yaar!! What is this!!?" He replied with frustration. I understand, he's tired.

"Okay girls, he's tired. Let him rest. You can do this later" I said taking Raghav's side.

"No no no! Not allowed!!" Vihaan said coming from behind. "Raghav has to pay something to his saalis if he wants to go inside"

"Fine! You f*cking take everything! Let me go inside" he said and I chuckled.

"Jiju just give us a promise that you'll keep my di happy. Forever" Ishita said and I smiled

"I will I will. She's my Jaan after all." I blushed as all the three hooted. "I promise"

Ishita and Niharika moved aside so that he can come into the room. As they were about to leave Raghav said "Wait my dear saalis"

He went inside the room and came out with two boxes, and handed each of them a box. They opened it and squealed happily. I gasped.

It was a very expensive diamond watch for Ishita and diamond earrings for Niharika.

"Raghav! You didn't have to do that" I whispered. They thanked him and went away as Vihaan winked at us "Happy afternoon to you both"

Raghav closed the door and pulled me closer to his chest. "they are like my sisters" he said caressing my cheek.

I blushed and hugged him as he pulled me more closer wrapping his muscular arms around me and providing a protective embrace.

"We're married" I whispered

"Happily married" he said as he closed his eyes resting his chin on my head.

Precap: "I.. I love you and I can't live without you." Sharan said. Raghav looked at him angrily.

"You bloody moron! How dare you lay your eyes on her that too in this f*cking drunken state!!!!" He shouted holding sharan's collar.

The chapter got too long already so I thought of including sharan in next chapter.

Note: as you all know, the wedding is over, I want to write a mature part now. And I'm quite shy in writing it. I would be really glad if any of the authors who are reading my story and have written some mature part before or know how to write it, would help me.

I just need a bit help. I will write the part and send it you, have to just edit the part.
