Aaradhya's POV

Today was a better day for all of us. Maa is a bit better due to the medications now. But the operation is to be done tomorrow night.

Maa is sleeping peacefully but I am unable to sleep. I badly need the job. Tomorrow is the presentation, I have asked Sharan to be here with Maa while I'll be away.

Vihaan says he will pay for all the things. He has even paid for the operation but I want to repay the money. I know he is being really helpful. He has always been.

But I want to do it alone. I don't want to depend on him or anyone else for things.

And also due to all this I didn't get to see my presentation for one last time. I had finalized it but I wanted to look into it once.

It was 1 in the morning. I quietly opened my bag and took out my laptop.

For almost half an hour or maybe more, I was engrossed in my work when I felt vibration on the bed.

Oh god! Where is my phone!

I immediately got up and started looking for it. I found it under the pillow.

Sharan? At 1:45 in the morning?

"Sharan? Is everything ok?" I asked tensed

"Yes. Tomorrow is your presentation right? All the best sweetie" he said sweetly

I frowned and looked in my mobile again. It's 1:45 only na.. at this time he realised he has to wish me, wow.

"Thank you for that Sharan. But how come you realised it at this time?"

"Look outside you'll know." He said with an excited voice

I looked out of the window and frowned.

"Not out of the window Aaradhya. Look outside the door." He said with an annoyed voice

I looked up to see what was there only to find him smiling at me through the small round glass window.

I tiptoed outside and closed the door behind me.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked amazed at his behaviour.

"I.. I just came to see you" he smiled and turned away

I kept my hand on his shoulder and faced him. "Are you okay?"

"Yea.. I just.. wanted to be here with you." I smiled at his concern

He hugged me and patted my back.

"All the best for tomorrow." He kissed my forehead

"Now go inside. I am waiting here." He said

"But Sharan.. I.. think you should go..."

He cut me off saying "I will stay here. Call me if you need anything."

I nodded. I can't thank god enough for giving me such caring people in my life.

"Sleep peacefully" he said before I entered

"I am working on the presentation" I replied

"May I help you?" He asked suddenly and I could only nod.

I brought my laptop and we sat outside the room on the bench.

He kept guiding me and giving me tips to be confident while answering questions asked by them.

I heard it keenly because I truly wanted to get this job. He was a great companion and a great person.

He even shared some questions he was asked during his presentation.

We didn't realise how time passed until he told me "oh god! Aaradhya you should sleep now. It's 2:30. You sleep so that you will be fresh tomorrow."

I nodded in understanding and went towards the room. "What will you be doing here?" I asked looking at him

"I will stay here. Don't worry. You just sleep." He assured me

"But.." I was unsure whether I should go and actually sleep though I knew he is waiting outside.

"It's completely fine. Please rest." He said smiling at me.

I was still unsure but he was insisting so much and also I had this important day tomorrow so I agreed.

Morning

I was woken up by some faint noises. I got up to see that the nurse was here.

"I am changing the Glucose bottle. Tonight is her Operation, I hope she's ready."

I smiled and nodded. She changed the bottle and went away. I sighed.

I haven't told maa yet about the operation. She will panick hearing about it. But she has to be ready right.

"Aaru? What was she talking about?"

What a timing!

"Maa.. for now you rest.."

She didn't even let me complete "no aaru. Tell me what is it. What is this operation and all?" She asked sternly

"Maa.. you.. the.. heart.. I mean.. you will be operated tonight, your heart is weak." I told closing my eyes

"What!? And you didn't tell me!? What.. Aaradhya!! I am not getting this done. You understand? I am NOT getting operated."

"Maa stop being stubborn. You need this. Otherwise you might have a serious problem." I tried to make her understand

"No. No."

"Maa please. If you even care about us a bit, get operated." I told her.

I didn't have any chance. It would have been very difficult to make her understand.

"Fine" she said angrily and turned her face away.

"Good morning beautiful ladies!" Sharan chirped as he walked inside

I smiled and wished him back.

"Good morning beta. (child)"

He took her blessings and sat beside me.

"So? What's up?"

"Aaradhya is forcing me to get operated." Maa replied with an angry glare

I looked at him helplessly while he nodded in assurance.

"Aunty, just imagine, the handsome doctor there will be operating you." He said to which I looked at him with wide eyes

I gave him a shrug. "What are you even saying?" I whispered in his ear

He grinned sheepishly "sorry"

"Aunty, please understand. This is needed. Otherwise you might have many more attacks like these. Then it will be difficult to handle your daughters." He chuckled

"They were crying so much. All the time while you were unconscious." Her eyes softened a bit.

"They were not even willing to eat. And this stubborn daughter of yours is so hard to convince." He said looking at me.

Maa sighed "fine, I.. I agree to it." She said

I looked at Sharan thankfully while he smiled.

"And Aaradhya, I think you should go home and get ready for the final round of yours." He said

"Yes dear. You go home and get ready. I will be fine." Maa smiled at me

I sighed. "Please take care" I said to Sharan

"Don't worry" he gave me a side hug "all the best"

"Thank you" I smiled at him

I went to maa, took her blessings and stroked her hairs. "Take care"

She nodded "all the best dear. Make me proud and Don't be nervous"

I smiled and walked out. Finally, it was time.

An hour later

"Yes yes Vihaan, I'm here." I told him over the phone.

"Sure I will come there" I said hanging up

I walked to the reception and she greeted me. I smiled

"I am Aaradhya Sinha. I'm here for the presentation round."

"Yes. It will be held in room number 28 on third floor." She informed while I nodded though I knew it because Vihaan told it to me at least 10 times over the phone.

I went in and sat there. I was nervous. But I gained courage, I had to do it.

Everyone around was engrossed in their own laptops probably doing last minute reading.

I too took out my laptop and started reading my presentation.

About half an hour later, Vihaan and Raghav sir walked in.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen" Raghav sir started and his eyes landed on mine.

I gulped looking at the intensity in them. Dark eyes full of lust.

God knows what he wants from me. Always keeps looking at me like that. Huh!

"So you all know we are here for your final presentation round for the selection of the new staff." He said without moving his eyes

Probably Vihaan noticed this and cleared his throat "so without wasting time, we will get started with it" he said

They sat on the special desk there with their PAs.

"Let's get started, may we have the first candidate, Miss Savita Kumar here please." Aman sir announced

And the round had started. People were very much confident and bold that I doubt whether I'll get a job here or not.

"Miss Aaradhya Sinha, can we have you here please" I got up and went ahead

I was so nervous that I was unable to look at them.

That's all I remembered. With a new determination, I opened my eyes and looked at them.

Vihaan assured me with his eyes.

"Good morning everyone, I am Aaradhya Sinha. I have made my presentation keeping in terms the profit, the structure, the....."

I went on without stopping. I was very confident and Vihaan was giving me the much needed assurance through his eyes.

I could see him looking at me and smiling maybe with pride.

I was looking at him and I gave the entire presentation with 100% from my side.

"Thank you" I said at last and immediately heard the claps. Vihaan smiled as he clapped and gave me an impressive look.

Raghav sir was looking at me all the while. I don't know he even heard what I said or not.

He was busy probably checking me out. Useless j*rk!

"Well done. I am impressed Miss Sinha." He said smirking at me

"We will get back to you soon Miss Sinha" Vihaan said

I nodded as I looked at him.

"Can I have a minute with you Miss Sinha?" I got rooted at my place as I heard Raghav sir's voice.

God! What does he want now
