Third person's pov!
A few days passed by smoothly. Siddharth tried every trick up his sleeve to impress Nidhi. It was difficult for him to even look at her after the way she accused him that day. But he realised there is no point in sulking away. If he wants her, he will have to work hard on it.
It was the day before the pooja Bhadra Bua told the girls about. Nidhi submitted an application for leave at the HR department.
"What is this?" Daksha asked, blowing her nails with a bored look on her face.
"Leave application. I want a day off tomorrow." Nidhi said and Tara's ears perked up.
"You will have to get your leave sanctioned by Mr Raichand directly, Ms Vyas." Tara said with a smirk.
Now there will definitely be a blast, Tara thought gleefully.
Nidhi frowned.
"Why? My sister just got her leave approved?" Nidhi asked in confusion.
"We can't have too many people take leave, can we? If you want a leave, get it from Mr Raichand." Tara said with a casual shrug of her shoulders.
Nidhi wanted to stomp her foot in annoyance. Why does this always happen to her?
Now she will have to go to his office. She had tried her best to avoid him over the past few days after what happened that night. The way he had walked out of the hospital room, it had hurt her. She felt guilty for accusing him that way.
Nidhi turned around and walked away. Tara and Daksha gleefully talked about the upcoming blast.

"Sid, the contract for the new deal with the Favian Group is ready. John just mailed them. Please check it out." Mukul said and placed a file in front of Siddharth.
Siddharth went through the documents.
"Mukul, mail John regarding some changes in the clauses. I want him to add a few more points to the contract." Siddharth said and Mukul quickly noted down the new clauses.
"Do it from here. Once it is done, we can discuss the progress of our new line." Siddharth said and gestured to Mukul to take a seat at the couch in the corner of his cabin.
Mukul and Siddharth got on with their work. A little while later, there was a knock on the door.
Sid heard the unmistakable sound of the silver anklets and a smile made its way to his lips.
Mukul watched as Siddharth's hands slowly rose to pat his chest, just over his heart, with a soft smile on his face.
"Nidhi..." Siddharth whispered. Though Mukul couldn't hear him, he was able to lip read.
Nidhi? Was that Nidhi at the door? How did Siddharth guess? He thought to himself and looked towards the cabin door and his eyes widened seeing Nidhi poking her head through the half opened door.
"May I come in, Sir?" Nidhi asked.
"Yes yes," Siddharth said.
'Should I stay? Or should I go out?' Mukul thought for a moment then decided against going out.
If there is going to be a fight, he should be present to diffuse the situation.
"Yes Nidhi?" Siddharth asked, leaning back on his chair and taking his fill of the petite girl clad in a green, red and white anarkali suit.
'My rainbow..' He thought with a chuckle.
"I want a day off tomorrow, Sir. I was asked to get my leave sanctioned by you directly." Nidhi said and forwarded her leave application towards him.
Siddharth took the paper from her, opened and read it.
"Temple visit? Is there anything special, Nidhi?" Siddharth asked.
"Uh yes. There is a pooja and fast." Nidhi mumbled.
"Which temple?" Siddharth asked curiously.
Mukul sagged against the couch. Siddharth Singh Raichand is asking the details about a temple? Why?
"The one near the big banyan tree." Nidhi muttered, glaring at him.
"Ah! The one where we lit the diya together, Nidhi?" Siddharth asked softly, a smirk making its way to his face and Nidhi's eyes widened in surprise.
Mukul gasped softly. Siddharth and Nidhi lit a diya together at the Shiv Parvati shrine? Couples only do that right? He thought with bated breath.
"Yes. The same temple where you and Bhavna ji also lit the diya together. Jeevika ji told me she was taking you both to the temple for lighting the diya." Nidhi said, wiping the smirk off Siddharth's face.
"Damn it, Nidhi. Why do you have to drag Bhavna into everything?" Siddharth bit out angrily, as he stood up from his chair.
"I was just pointing out the facts, sir," Nidhi said neutrally.
"Nidhi, we didn't light the diya together. I couldn't do it with her. Me and Bhavna, it is not how you think. It didn't mean anything." Siddharth said helplessly and Nidhi shot a cold look at him.
"It didn't mean anything?" She asked with a humourless chuckle.
"No, Nidhi. It didn't." Siddharth said, trying somehow to convince her that what he feels for her is far far more than what he ever felt for anyone before.
"What about the model Jiya? Did she also mean nothing to you?" Nidhi asked, remembering all the names Swati once said while listing out Siddharth Singh Raichand's girlfriends.
"I briefly dated Jiya. It was nothing serious, Nidhi." Siddharth hurriedly said. He felt the ground beneath him shifting.
"What about Ananya?" Nidhi asked and Siddharth's eyes widened in horror.
How the hell does she know Ananya? He had known her like ten years back..
"Jeevika ji was showing me some of the albums and she pointed out your college girlfriend." Nidhi said, answering his unasked question.
"It was just...It-" Siddharth struggled with his words.
"Meant nothing.." Nidhi completed his words and he cringed as he heard it.
"And you want me to believe that I mean something to you, Sir?" Nidhi asked with a scoff.
"You mean everything to me, Nidhi." Siddharth said as he took a step towards her.
Nidhi took a step back.
"Forgive me if I find it difficult to believe. You change girlfriends like you change tee shirts, Sir. I have no wish to be one among your long line of girlfriends." Nidhi bit out calmly, yet sternly.
"Damn it." Siddharth cursed and in anger he tore up the leave application into many pieces, leaving Nidhi to stare at it with an open mouth.
"Your leave application is rejected. I want to see you here in the office tomorrow." Siddharth bit out furiously.
At that exact moment, Nidhi's phone rang. It was her Bhadra Bua.
"Haa Bua." Nidhi said as soon as she picked up the call.
"Did you apply for leave Nidhi? Or did you forget?" Bhadra Bua asked.
"I asked for leave, Bhadra Bua. But it got rejected." Nidhi said and Siddharth's eyes widened in horror.
"Really? Did you ask Siddharth beta?" Bhadra Bua whispered through the phone.
"Your Siddharth beta only rejected it." Nidhi muttered miffed.
Siddharth snatched the phone from Nidhi and shot a furious look at her.
"Bhadra Buai, it is me, Siddharth. It is okay to take leave. Nidhi and Priya will be home tomorrow." Siddharth told Bhadra Bua and Nidhi stared at him in shock.
"Oh thank you so much beta." Bhadra Bua said and hung up the call.
Siddharth gave the phone back to Nidhi. She took it and walked out of his cabin.
Mukul stared at all the happenings, his mouth wide open.
What the hell just happened?
Did the khadoos akdu Siddharth Singh Raichand just say Nidhi meant everything to him. Since when?
Maybe he should ask his mother to book a bed for him in the Agra mental asylum.
"What the hell are you doing here, Mukul?" Siddharth roared at the poor man, who was gobsmacked by what just happened.
"I- file- Nidhi-" Mukul stammered.
"Get out.." Siddharth roared and Mukul ran for his life.
