Third person's pov!
It has been a few days since Nidhi started working in Rey Designs. Priya also joined within a couple of days, after thinking about the pros and cons of the offer Sid made.
"Nidhi," Nidhi looked up as she heard the loud voice.
A smile appeared on her face when she saw Bhavna coming towards her, with a bright smile.
But soon the smile disappeared and she felt guilty.
Does Bhavna know that Sid proposed marriage to Nidhi? If she knows, how would she take it?
"Bhavna ji? How are you? When did you return back?" Nidhi asked as casually as possible.
"Yesterday morning, Nidhi. How are you?" Bhavna asked with a smile.
"I am fine, Bhavna ji. How about you?" Nidhi asked softly and Bhavna sighed.
Bhavna didn't know what to say. She wanted to say that she was absolutely fine. But her heart ache was too much. And she couldn't trust herself to talk to Nidhi anymore when she clearly knows that the man she loves was in love with this woman standing in front of her.
She has not completely moved on. But staying cooped up in her home, wouldn't make it easier either. Maybe seeing Siddharth and Nidhi together with her own eyes, though painful, might help her move on completely. That's the reason why Bhavna was adamant on working in the Mumbai branch of Rey Designs, when Sid had offered to make a position for her in any other branch. She had refused.
And she isn't angry with either of them either.
Love cannot be forced.
How can she blame Sid for falling in love with Nidhi. Nobody can control their heart.
And knowing Sid, she knows he must have tried like hell to get rid of his feelings for Nidhi. And even when he had proposed to Bhavna, he had made it absolutely clear that there would be no feelings involved from his side. Infact, from the very beginning, he had been clear on that part. But she had chased after him and made him believe that even she isn't interested in anything long term. But knowingly or unknowingly, she started dreaming of a forever with Sid.
And what about Nidhi? Does she also feel the same? Does she also love Sid the way he loves her?
"Bhavna ji?" Nidhi shook Bhavna, realising that the other woman has zoned out suddenly.
"Uh sorry Nidhi. I was thinking about something!! All good on my side.. I better get going as there is a hell lot of work load after my break.." Bhavna said, pasting a smile on her face.
Nidhi shot a smile at Bhavna, not probing much.
God! This was so awkward.
Bhavna was wondering whether Nidhi knew that Sid broke up with her, because he is in love with Nidhi.
And Nidhi was wondering whether Bhavna had any idea about Sid's marriage proposal and all.
They talked for a while and Nidhi understood that Bhavna had no idea about what Siddharth did after breaking up with her.
The nerve of the man!
How could he so easily do that? Didn't it bother him even to the slightest that Bhavna would be heartbroken when she comes to know this from someone else.
Nidhi shook her head and continued her work.
"Nidhi? Can you come with me and check the new fabrics? They are in the basement. Just check whether they are ideal for your designs." Mukul said as he came into her work area.
"Sure, Mukul ji." Nidhi said and they both started walking towards the elevator.
"Where is Priya?" Mukul asked, looking around.
"Uh. Parth ji called her because he had some doubts with her designs." Nidhi said, with a frown.
She had always felt that Parth had some feelings for her elder sister. It was so obvious with the way the man stares at her sister. With stars in his eyes.
Could it be possible that Sid offered a job to her sister, to help his brother woo Priya?
Siddharth Singh Raichand a cupid? Is that even possible?
Mukul's phone rang, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Will check it out, right away, Sid." Mukul said and hung up the call.
"Nidhi, I have urgent work to do now. Do you mind going to the basement alone?" Mukul asked apologetically.
"No, Mukul ji. I will check them out and let you know. Please carry on with your work." Nidhi said with a smile and got into the elevator.
She was checking the fabrics and noting down the points to discuss them with Mukul, when she felt the smell of his musky perfume..
But she didn't turn around.
"Hey," Siddharth whispered, standing very close to her.
Her heartbeat picked up its pace.
"What are you doing here?" She asked formally.
"It's my office, Nidhi. I can be anywhere." Siddharth said with an arrogant smirk.
"Sure, Mr Raichand," Nidhi said and turned around to check the fabrics again.
"You have been avoiding me," Siddharth said in an accusing tone.
"No Mr Raichand. I attended all the meetings you scheduled." Nidhi said formally.
"I am not talking about the bloody meetings, Nidhi. And you know it. I came to your work area many times. Always you find some reason to leave from there when I come. I am done with your ignorance. Nobody is going to come here. It's just us. You have to talk to me now." Siddharth said in his usual demanding voice.
"Did you call away Mukul ji on purpose, Mr Raichand?" Nidhi asked furiously.
"Yes. So what if I did? I wanted to talk to you." Siddharth said angrily, fed up with the avoidance game.
"There is nothing to talk about, Mr Raichand. Whatever you had to say, you once said clearly and I remember every single word of it." Nidhi said and tried to walk away.
Siddharth quickly got hold of her arms and stopped her.
"Mr Raichand, let go of me now." Nidhi said furiously.
"Stop avoiding me Nidhi. I know I am at fault. I have hurt you a lot in the past. But I promise you, it will never happen again" Siddharth said earnestly.
"It doesn't matter, Mr Raichand. I would prefer it if you could keep everything professional here." Nidhi said, still in her formal tone.
"Damn it, Nidhi. Stop ignoring me. Stop being so indifferent towards me. I can't bear this anymore." Siddharth burst out, his emotions shining through his eyes. Nidhi sucked in a sharp breath seeing all the emotions in his eyes, but she was too scarred by his words to trust them.
"Why not? Why does it bother you? My existence doesn't matter to you in any way.. You yourself told me that, Mr Raichand. So, even if I am ignoring you, it shouldn't matter to you." Nidhi said with a casual shrug, making Siddharth more furious.
"It matters to me, damn it!" Siddharth muttered furiously, as he lightly shook her.
"Why? Why does it matter to you?" Nidhi goaded with a scoff.
"Because I love you, damn it!!"
