Third person's pov!
"Nidhi," Sid's voice boomed across the walls of the office, shocking every employee.
All of them stood with bated breath, waiting for the blast.
Before Mukul and Ansh could even figure out what was happening, he saw Sid downstairs, standing next to Nidhi.
"Did that man fly?" Mukul asked in horror.
"How did he get there so fast? So eager for a fight?" Ansh asked, equally confused.
"Goodness! Let's go there quickly. Else another fight will break out at any moment." Mukul said and the both of them rushed out, hoping to extinguish any fight that would most probably break out now.
Siddharth stared at her furiously as he saw her picking up the broken glass pieces.
"Are you crazy?" He blasted and Nidhi flinched slightly hearing the booming voice.
"Mr Raichand. You know how clumsy she is. She bumped into me and even ruined my shoes." Tara complained, remembering how angry Siddharth used to get even for the slightest of Nidhi's mistakes. She still remembers what happened in the cafe that day. Just before Jeevika Ma'am walked in and rescued Nidhi from Siddharth.
He simply wanted a reason to fire at Nidhi. And now, he got it again and they surely will have something to entertain them for at least a day, Tara thought gleefully.
Siddharth glared at Tara and Tara gulped finding those laser eyes on him.
"Did I ask for your opinion, Miss Tamarakshi?" Siddharth asked, stressing her entire name fully, knowing how the woman hates being called by her real name. Tara cringed.
"Uh sorry, Mr Raichand." Tara apologised, feeling embarrassed at getting rebuked in front of the other employees. This wasn't what she expected. He was supposed to blast at and embarrass Nidhi, not her.
Siddharth turned again to see Nidhi was still holding the glass pieces in her hand.
Stupid woman!
Her fingers are so delicate. What if the glass pieces pierce through that flawless skin?
"Madhu!" Siddharth called out loudly.
Madhu, the peon, came rushing towards them.
"Yes, Siddharth Saab," the man said feeling breathless after the run.
"Clean this mess." Siddharth ordered.
"I made the mess. I will clear it." Nidhi, ever stubborn, said and bent down to pick up the remaining glass pieces.
"You crazy woman. You will get hurt." Siddharth thundered and quickly held Nidhi's hand before she could touch the next piece of glass.
The employees stared in wonder as the great Siddharth Singh Raichand bent down next to Parinidhi Vyas and took the glass pieces from her hand and placed it back on the tray.
"Mr Raichand, I said I can manage." Nidhi said stubbornly.
"Yes of course. You are a wonder woman. There is nothing you cannot do." Siddharth said sarcastically and pulled her up along with him.
Mukul and Ansh stared without blinking as Sid kept on holding Nidhi's forearms, even though she was trying to wriggle out of his hold.
"Mr Raichand-" Nidhi began to say something, but Siddharth cut her off in between.
"Is it necessary to argue over everything, Nidhi? There are people who are being paid to do these works" Siddharth said arrogantly, making Nidhi frown.
"I am also being paid to do work like this, Mr Raichand." Nidhi said and shrugged off Siddharth's hold from her arms..
"What do you mean by that?" Siddharth asked with a frown.
"Uh Sid. She is the new temp. She just joined today morning." Mukul said hurriedly, totally confused by Sid's behaviour.
Was that concern he heard in Sid's voice?
How could it be?
"Is it?" Siddharth asked with a smirk making Nidhi glare at him.
"Seems like you are not bribing your Shiv ji enough nowadays, Nidhi." Siddharth said, in a teasing tone.
"What do you mean by that?" Nidhi asked with a confused frown.
"Why else would he take my side?" Siddharth asked smugly, making Nidhi more furious.
People stared open-mouthed.
Was their boss, Siddharth Raichand, teasing Parinidhi Vyas?
Did he get his head hit somewhere? Did he go mad?
Or is it them who went mad?
Nidhi realised that they have quite an audience and this rakshas is behaving so out of character.
If she lets it continue, people will make up their own stories.
She cannot have her reputation ruined. He doesn't care about all these and he doesn't even have a reputation to protect. He has very openly and arrogantly declared to the world through his actions that he is morally on the weaker side, Nidhi thought furiously.
"Mr Raichand, Madhu ji cleared it. Shall I get back to my work now?" Nidhi asked in a formal tone.
"Come to my cabin. I have something to discuss with you." Sid said, turned around and walked away without waiting for her response.
"Rakshas!" Nidhi mumbled under her breath and glared after his retreating back.
"Nidhi. Go," Mukul nudged her, not wanting to ruin whatever good mood Sid seemed to be in.
"Why Shiv ji. Am I not offering you enough sweets? Why are you taking his side all of a sudden? He doesn't even believe in you. I am your ardent devotee. You should always be on my side." Nidhi complained, looking heavenwards.
"Nidhi, go," Ansh hissed and Nidhi stomped her foot before walking towards the lion's den.
"What happened to Sid?" Daksha exclaimed, once both Sid and Nidhi were out of sight.
Mukul turned to glare at Tara.
"You did it intentionally right? You hired her so that you could bully her?" Mukul asked furiously.
"You passed the papers, Mukul." Tara said arrogantly.
"Well, it seems like your plan just backfired, Miss Tamarakshi." Ansh said, with a smirk irking Tara more
"It's Tara. T.A.R.A. Tara. Don't call me anything else." Tara said furiously.
"You didn't seem to mind when Sid called you that," Ansh said with a sarcastic smile and walked away with Mukul, leaving a fuming Tara behind.
Nidhi hesitantly knocked on Siddharth's cabin.
"Come in," she heard him say, and walked in.
"You wanted to say something?" Nidhi asked, as soon as she went in.
Siddharth leaned back on his chair and simply looked at her.
She was wearing a bottle green coloured salwar suit, It has splashes of white, red and blue on it.
His rainbow! He thought with a smile.
Her hair was braided and some disobedient strands have already come out of the confinement.
"You should leave your hair open, Nidhi." Siddharth said, making Nidhi stare at her in horror.
"What??" She asked, wanting to make sure she heard right.
"You have such beautiful hair. It is a crime to confine them in a braid. Tomorrow onwards, leave them open." Siddharth said and Nidhi's eyes widened hearing his talks.
What the hell has gotten into him?
"On second thoughts, braid them. I don't want anybody else to enjoy the beauty of your hair.." Sid said huskily.
"You said you wanted to say something important, Mr Raichand?" Nidhi asked sternly, not responding to his comment verbally, though a reddish hue had spread across her cheeks in reaction to it.
Siddharth was satisfied seeing that blush on her face.
"Couldn't stay away from me, Nidhi darling?"
