SHOT 118

Third person's pov!

The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of fresh flowers, and the soft, harmonious sounds of traditional Indian music created a festive atmosphere in the Raichand mansion. The griha pravesh ceremony for Siddharth and Nidhi was in full swing. The grand entrance of the mansion was decorated with vibrant marigold garlands and twinkling fairy lights, making it a sight to behold.

Nidhi, dressed in a stunning red lehenga, looked every bit the glowing bride. Her cheeks flushed a deeper red each time Sid found a reason to brush against her or steal a quick kiss. Sid, in his elegant ivory sherwani, was unable to hide his delight.

As they stood at the entrance, Kalindi, carrying a traditional aarti thali, began the griha pravesh ritual. She moved the thali in circular motions in front of the couple, chanting blessings for their new journey together.

"Nidhi, don't forget it's the rice kalash, not Sid's face. So kick gently. We don't want to break anything on the first day!" Ansh teased, causing everyone to laugh.

Nidhi chuckled, her heart fluttering despite herself. She gently kicked the rice-filled pot, symbolising prosperity, as they stepped into the house together.

Inside, the living room buzzed with activity. Parth and Priya, who had been married just two days earlier, were enjoying the festivities.

"Time for the ring-finding ceremony!" Ansh announced, bringing a large silver bowl filled with milk and rose petals was placed in the centre of the room.

"Alright, Sid and Nidhi, the rules are simple," Jeevika explained. "You both have to find the ring in this bowl. Whoever finds it first is said to dominate the marriage."

Sid leaned closer to Nidhi, his breath tickling her ear.

"Hope you are ready to lose," he murmured, making her blush furiously.

They plunged their hands into the bowl, the cool milk swirling around their fingers. Laughter erupted as both of them playfully tried to outmanoeuvre each other, their fingers tangling more often than not.

"Come on, Nidhi! You can do it!" Priya cheered.

"Don't let him win, bhabhi!" Parth joined in.

After a few intense moments, Nidhi's fingers closed around the ring. She pulled it out triumphantly, her eyes sparkling with victory.

"You may have won the game, but the real prize is already mine. And I can't wait to open my prize." Sid leaned in and whispered in a husky tone.

Nidhi's cheeks turned a deep shade of crimson.

"Stop it, Siddarth ji!" She whispered back, though her heart sang with happiness.

Next they played a few other games and laughter filled the room, as everyone enjoyed the festivities after winning against all the evil.

Ansh pulled Sid aside for a moment.

"Hey Sid? We have no intention of becoming an uncle anytime soon. So please use protection." Ansh said and Mukul chuckled.

"F*ck off.." Sid flipped him the bird.

"Arrey, Sid, aapko toh dulhan ko pal pal dekhna chahiye," Jeevika teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Itna kaam karte ho, thoda time toh do apni pyaari biwi ko."

Sid grinned, his eyes locking with Nidhi's.

"Main toh har pal dekhta hi hoon, Di," he retorted, his voice low and seductive. He leaned in and kissed Nidhi's cheek, causing a blush to spread across her face.

The room erupted in cheers and whistles, and Nidhi could feel her face burning with embarrassment. She playfully nudged Sid with her elbow, but he only grinned in response.

"Okay, that's enough for the day guys. Let's get them to the room." Jeevika said, winking at Ansh.

"Oh definitely, di. It's high time, we left them alone.." Ansh said in an exaggerated show of feeling pity on Sid.

Sid frowned, wondering why they were letting them off so easily. This wasn't what he had expected. Seems like there is some bigger play behind the screens.

"Okay, Sid. Why don't you carry your bride upstairs. That's a ritual.." Jeevika said.

"Even if it wasn't a ritual, I would have done that.." Sid said and with a cheekily smile, scooped Nidhi into his arms bridal style, making Nidhi squeal in surprise.

As Sid walked up the stairs, with Nidhi in his arms, they could hear the whistles and hoots from the living room.

Sid and Nidhi stood in front of their bedroom door, a mixture of excitement and exasperation on their faces. The door was locked, and the key was hidden somewhere in the house. Their family had devised this game as a playful challenge for the newlyweds, and they seemed more amused than annoyed by the whole situation.

The first clue was taped on the door. Sid tore off the note and read it aloud.

"To start your quest, go back downstairs to where guests rest. There you'll find the next clue hidden among the cushions blue."

Sid turned to Nidhi, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"So, Mrs. Raichand, it looks like we have to earn our privacy tonight. Are you ready?"

Nidhi sighed, a smile tugging at her lips.

"I suppose we have no choice, Mr. Raichand. Let's get started."

They made their way downstairs to the living room, where their family were waiting for this with teasing smiles. Sid glared at them, but his glare wasn't as effective as before.

Sid and Nidhi began their search. The cushions on the sofa were indeed blue. They began searching, lifting each cushion until Nidhi found the second clue tucked neatly underneath one.

"Found it," she exclaimed, unfolding the note. "It says, 'To continue your quest, find the place where family photos are displayed the best.'"

"The photo wall," Sid said, already heading towards the hallway where the family photo gallery was displayed.

They scanned the rows of framed pictures, searching for any sign of a clue. Sid's keen eye spotted a small piece of paper poking out from behind a group photo.

"Got it," he said, pulling it free. "It says, 'Next, seek where you dine, under the table where everything is fine.'"

"The dining room," Nidhi said, and they hurried to the next location.

As they entered, Sid suddenly pulled her behind a large flower vase. Before Nidhi could protest, his lips were on hers, kissing her deeply.

"Siddarth ji!" Nidhi gasped between kisses, her hands pressing against his chest. "We need to find the key."

"We will," Sid murmured, not letting go. "But right now, I can't resist you."

Nidhi melted into the kiss, her resolve weakening. After a few blissful moments, they reluctantly pulled away, their breathing heavy.

"Okay, back to the search," Sid said, grinning. "But I'll be doing that again soon."

Once there, they checked under the dining table. Sid had to get down on his knees, and with a triumphant smile, he pulled out the fourth clue.

"'To find the key, look where flowers bloom, in the corner of the room.'"

They rushed to the corner where a large vase filled with flowers stood. Nidhi carefully searched through the blooms and leaves until she found the fifth note tucked away.

"This one says, 'For the final clue, look at the place where Sid spends most of his time while he is home'.."

"Study.." Sid said with a chuckle.

In the study, Nidhi opened a drawer, only to find it empty.

"This is taking forever," she said, frustration creeping into her voice.

Sid came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Think of it as a test of patience," he whispered, nuzzling her neck. "And a chance for me to keep kissing you."

Nidhi turned in his arms, her eyes meeting his.

"You're impossible, Siddarth ji."

"Only for you," he replied, capturing her lips again.

After a thorough kiss, they searched through the study again and found it peeping out of Sid's laptop bag. Suddenly, Sid's eyes lit up.

"Found it!" He exclaimed, holding up the key triumphantly.

Nidhi's heart leaped with relief.

"Finally! Now we can-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Sid scooped her up into his arms, carrying her towards their bedroom through the living room.

"Now we can enjoy our suhaagraat, biwi," he said, his voice low and filled with desire.

"Siddarth ji, put me down!" Nidhi blushed, burying her face in his neck.

"Not a chance," Sid replied as he climbed the stairs, totally ignoring his family still sitting in the living room. He was too impatient by now.

Unlocking the door with one hand and pushing it open. He carried Nidhi over the threshold, kicking the door shut behind them.

As the door closed, the outside world disappeared, leaving them alone at last. Sid set Nidhi down gently, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Finally," he breathed, cupping her face in his hands. "I have been waiting all day for this."

Nidhi smiled, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"Me too," she whispered, leaning in for a kiss that promised a night filled with love and passion.
