It's nearly 73 hours 52 minutes 25 seconds that I last saw my angel.....

I called her for the nth time... but she isn't picking up my calls. Meenu called me and said Neetu is depressed from past two days and says she doesn't have any idea why she is like that and this increased my doubt...something might happened which made neetu to break up with me!  I know... I know it is not her decision. There must be some background of the story, which i am not aware of!! Whatever it may be I am giving up on her. I will give her time to think and fight against the obstacle she is facing now whatever it is. But letting her go is not at all an option even in the millionth year.

After thinking about her the whole night ....I desperately wants to see her and talk this out. The next day morning I went to her house to try talk to her. Aunt Radhika is out of town attending some conference in mumbai and Meenu already left to university. I made my way to her room not bothering the maids to know about my presence.

I went into her room and the sight made my heart clench in pain and anger. There my Neetu is sleeping peacefully like an angel she is, but what made me angry and pained is the tear stained pillow and blanket and they were my photos and some of our engagement photos in her hand. I can feel she cried hell out for hours before drifting into sleep. Even if neetu doesn't say a word,sometimes i can just read her expressive eyes. Now I'm so sure that there is something behind all this break up drama. Well.... Let's deal with it interestingly. I will make you mine My little Pranita, you wish or not. But first let's deal with your little breakup secret. Ahhh.... My little Pranita you have only seen sweet and adoring Laksh so far, I need to show you how I became 'THE RUTHLESS BUSINESSMAN'. Ohhh annoying and aggravating you will be really interesting my little angel.

I am sitting next to sleeping Neetu and brushing her hair soothingly which made her sigh in relief and snuggled into me more which made me smile. I love you my little cardiologist who made my heart beat rise in your presence I'm not going to lose you. I love you too much to let you go my love.

With that thought I kissed her forehead and left from there not wanting to wake her up but made sure to forget my "important file" on her night stand intentionally.

It's 7:30 at evening. Almost all my employees left the office. Now it's time to get my "important file". I called Neetu. She picked the call after four rings.

Neetu: Hello... Dr. Pranita Kashap speaking.

Me: You need to be taught about how you greet.

Neetu: LAKSH.........Why.......

Me: It's not Pranita Kashap my love..... You need to introduce yourself as soon-to-be Pranita Banerjee. Geez I need to teach you so many things. But don't worry you have lifetime to learn everything from me. EVERYTHING.

Neetu: Laksh ..w..why did you call me? I told you that I am not going to talk to you anymore.

Me: Well..... as much as I want to hear your sweet melodic voice I'm busy so please do me a favor and return me my important file.

Neetu: W..What file?

Me: Oh... I forgot to mention you I came to talk to you this morning but you were sleeping so left not wanting to disturb you. But I left my file on your nightstand there accidently.

Neetu: Oh... So?

Me: so, My love you need to bring it to me to the office I have meeting in twenty minutes for which I want that file.

Neetu: ok..ay then I'll sent it through driver

Me: Ok fine...but if i feel anything is tampered or missing in my important file,Do u mind if I put your driver behind the bars? ( in the Jail)

Neetu: No!! no! i will bring it myself

Sometimes neetu is really intelligent in understanding what i can do, just with few words!!

Saying that she cut the call.

Nearly fifteen minutes later she brought the folder with her into my cabin. I immediately hugged her her so tightly with all the frustration which i was holding from a week. Oh God!! she in my arms is the best thing happened to me in my life!

Neetu: La...L..aksh.....

Me: Hmmm

Neetu: L..a...k..sh.... you....your file

Me: Hmmmm I love you my Neetu.

That got her out of her trance and pushed herself away from me. I just smirked at her. She started to leave. She kept on turning the doorknob but it isn't opening. Oh.....no...... Well......OH......YES........

Neetu: Laksh why is it not opening?

Me: (smirking) we are locked inside. Seems like the watchmen checked all the doors and locked it oblivious that WE are here together her in a room alone.

Neetu: La..Laksh please call him to open the door.

Me (Smirking Again): Oh sorry neetu, my company's entire security team is on leave today!

Neetu:What?

Me: Yeah and for some reason this situation reminds me something that happened years ago. My best friend Ram was caught kissing a girl in his mansion and the next day he was engaged to her by elders.Guess what they were just 18 at that time. 

Neetu(Little annoyed and asks foolishly): How it is related to us?

Laksh: Yeah Neetu!! Our case is different.We are already engaged, I am a hot blooded male and you are beautiful in and out...if we are locked inside a room for whole night my very traditional Grandma will surely prepone our upcoming wedding to this weekend.

Neetu: (tears started slowly roll from her eyes)

Seeing her tears I couldn't help but engulf her into a hug. She snuggled more into me unknowingly. I sighed and opened the door with the master key I have with me. I placed a soft kiss on her forehead and promised her that whatever the problem is that made her cry and keep her away from me, I would find it and solve it. She did not say anything, turning on heels she left from there with a pained and sad emotion in her eyes.

It's already 8:30 pm So, I followed her and dragged her to my car to drop her home leaving no space for any argument.

NEETU POV:

The next day afternoon Aunt Neelima called and asked me to meet at the beach house that Laksh once took me. I was worried but none the less getting ready I went there. One of the maids told me that aunt is waiting for me in library. I went inside the room breathing a heavy sigh.

Aunt looked at me and her eyes softened looking at me but covered it up with a disappointed look in seconds. I took a chair opposite to hers and yet again waited for her to speak. She placed a handbag on the table which is surprisingly mine and on top of the cherry that is the same hand bag I forgot in Laksh's car when he dropped me home......... Why is this happening to me?

Neelima: I didn't expect this from you Neetu!!! I thought you will stand firm on your words and you will never ever meet Laksh again..

Me: No!!! No!!! Auntie I know I gave you my word that I will breakup with Laksh. I don't know reason for...... but still I'm firm on my words.

I heard sound of book falling from shelf behind huge shelves inside the huge library but did not give heed to it.

Me: Auntie!! But yesterday Laksh asked me to come to his office to return his file and he offered me to drop at home and at that time I might forgot my purse in his car....

Neelima: why are you not avoiding him?

Me: I am avoiding him but he is no avoiding me..........

Neelima: (with worried face) yesterday did Laksh said anything rude to you....

Me: No auntie!!! Laksh will never speak rude to me he just told If i didn't marry him, he would marry me not a big deal

Neelima: what??

Me: yes auntie!! But I strictly told him I will not marry him....

Neelima: I have a good idea.....why don't you go abroad for a couple years (or) marry any other guy then Laksh will not pester you again.

What do I say to that? Tears are threatening to fall from my eyes. How can I imagine another guy in Laksh's place? How can I stay away from him for two years? I need to see him even from far away. Can I even imagine about another man apart from him when most of my thoughts are filled with him. And him doing all sorts of things that he said to me in his office is making hard for me.

I reached home and called  mumma to find me nice guy for me to marry. Mumma was startled and asked if I was okay but I gave her slight nod and asked her find a good guy for me as soon as possible.

When I announced about mine and Laksh's breakup the other day to mumma and papa surprisingly they did not tell me anything and asked me to concentrate on my career. It's like they expected something like this to happen. But I brushed that feeling as I'm already occupied with all the happenings going on lately.

That evening I received call from Laksh. I don't want to answer but he kept on calling me so thinking it might be something emergency I picked the call.

Me: Laksh........

Laksh: HA Love!!!! Are you free today?

Me: (I know I need to maintain distance from LAKSH) NO!! I am not free..

Laksh: OK!! If you are not free then I will send Rishi to your house, give him our engagement ring. If you are free you come to fluids pub and give it to me. I am going to present the ring to my OFFICIAL FIANCE today.

After listening to that I was shocked was an understatement. HANRI came to pick up me and I immediately left to the pub.

LAKSH POV

Speak of the devil and the devil is here.My best friend Ram's fiance and my best friend herself just surprised me when she arrived to the town in the morning. It was just yesterday i was told neetu a part of Sia and Ram's long love story and now she is here. Thank god i didn't mention her name to neetu yesterday night.Calling Sia devil is for n number of reasons..she is always like a sister to me and nagging me to find a girlfriend for myself

 We chatted a lot about everything and then I told about my little angel. She's so happy that finally found my love. 

Then I got an idea.Of course Sia will be happy for helping me!  I immediately called Rishi and asked him to pick up Neetu and bring her here. I also called neetu and asked her to bring our engagement ring.

If everything goes well I can make Neetu so jealous that she will never leave my side ever again.

Rishi and Neetu entered the pub. I pretended to hold Sia's hand started twirling with her fingers making sure that little angel observes it. She came near us. I can see that her face paled when she saw me with other women this close. No offence I treat Sia as my sister. I introduced

Me: Sia she is my ex-fiancée Pranita and Love she is my present official fiancée.

Neetu is shocked whereas Sia happily hugs her and said her HAI way to excited.

Rishi for a while didn't understand anything after few seconds he understood that we both are playing before Pranita and he also joins the drama.

Rishi: ha yes Neetu SIL !! you are my old sister in law and Sia is my new sister in law.

I asked her the ring to give. She refused and asked me to buy another one for Sia. Oh... I'm enjoying this! God she is holding her ring and that hand as if someone would cut it. She is nearly to cry. She looked so cute and adorable when hold her other hand as if her life depends on it.

Me: (in a slow and romantic tone) NO! NEETU when I bought this ring I promised myself I would never leave the hand on which I put this ring on.

And then I took held hand more tightly seeing dead into her eyes and kissed ring. She shivered at the kiss. She pretended that ring was stuck to her finger. But I know better I went to her to help her remove it. Well.... I don't want to remove it at all. I just want to make her realise that there are other ways to handle any problem. I want her to know how important I am in her life like she is. No no no.... she is not just important in my life she is my life.

Just then Rishi came with drinks and helped Pranita.

Rishi: Leave it bro! Women doesn't remove any gold jewelry on Friday.

I know Rishi felt pity on her. He shot draggers my way to stop this drama. Neetu ran out crying. I know what I did make me look like a jerk but she need to trust me and herself and fight for our relationship. What something like this happens after marriage will she do the same. Will she Leave me? I'm sorry my little angel hurt you and made you cry. I'm sorry.

I followed her outside to the parking lot. She was crying there leaning to a car. I felt sad I felt like someone shot me in heart. She saw me coming to her and ran halfway to hug me. She hugged me tightly and took my hand to inspect. I didn't realize that I hurt my palm somewhere while following her. She immediately took cotton and cleanser from her handbag and cleaned the cut. She banded the cut and left me there without taking a second glance back.

THIRD PERSON POV:

Laksh was doing some office work on laptop that night and Rishi enters

Laksh: Did you drop Sia at the airport?

Rishi: Yes! She already boarded the flight. Bro why are you hurting Neetu SIL....if she wants some time then give her. why are you doing this?

Laksh: she didn't want any time and if she can, she will marry me even now at this moment.

Rishi: how can you be so sure?

And then Laksh mobile rings. Neetu's calling him, but he cuts the call.

Laksh: If I am right!!! Now Neetu will call you to enquire about my hand and if I took medicines or not"

Even laksh before he completes the sentence, Neetu calls to Rishi and asks him whether laksh took medicines or not? And for which Rishi replies "Yes"

Laksh: "see....... "

Rishi: "if she loves you that much then why she rejected to marry you?"

Laksh: She didn't do it, your mother rejected her, she told/threatened her to break up with me......

Rishi: (shockingly) What? How can she do this to you and neetu? She loves you more than me? or she pretends like that? OMG! if my mom is behind this break up then I will tell everything to grandma now itself and let her decide what to do with my mom.....

He knows that grandma is the lady of the house and she can handle all the situations in the house.

Laksh: "NO!! I don't want her to scold your mom or neetu......

Rishi: Neetu...... what is Neetu SIL's fault?

Laksh: If aunt asked her to break up....why she accepted it? Doesn't she love me enough?. She need to protest and know the reason.

Rishi: Now what are you going to do......

Laksh: I am not going to do anything if Neetu and Aunt have a problem they have to solve between themselves they should not play with me and my feelings as they are doing now....

Rishi: But how do you know that mom is behind this....

Laksh: Actually this morning I went to our beach house and I am there at my dad's library . I told the watchman not to disturb me Then aunt entered the library and did not notice me. I was about to go greet her Neetu also came there and I heard their conversation.

Laksh tells Rishi about the whole conversation.

Rishi: Ohhh Then what are you going to do next?

Laksh: Nothing

And he resumes his work. But Rishi was happy and informs that to Meenu over phone.

To make Laksh believe, Neetu asks her mom to set her up with a blind date. Radhika is stunned by her decision and thinks that it should be fine to let Neetu meet another guy to forget Laksh. That next day, Radhika tells Neetu about a so and so guy, her friend's only son that she wants Neetu to meet. That evening Laksh meets his clients in a restaurant to discuss about a deal. Radhika texts Neetu to meet her friend's son Mayur in Delicacies restaurant at 7:00 PM. Neetu is in hospital and reads the text. She makes up her mind to go through any pain to distance herself from Laksh.

That evening Neetu arrives at the restaurant and searches for Mayur. Mayur who has her picture recognizes her and takes her to the table. Exactly diagonal to them are Laksh and his clients but both doesn't see each other. Just then, Laksh's drives comes to Laksh and whisper in his ear that a car broke the headlight of his car while parking. Before Laksh responds, the drives tells that its Neetu's car. Laksh smiles and tells to let go of the matter. Just then Meenu calls Laksh and tells that her sister is with a guy on her blind date at delicacies restaurant and asks him to do something. Laksh searches for Neetu and finally finds her sitting diagonal to him and talking to some man smiling. Neetu still doesn't notice Laksh and starts conversing with Mayur.

Mayur: I've heard that you are a doctor?

Neetu : oh yes.

Mayur : I thought that every female doctor is beautiful but you are beyond an angel's beauty.

Neetu : (in awkward tone) thank you.

While hearing all the conversation Laksh gets so worked up and punches Mayur right on his nose. Neetu's jaw dropped by seeing laksh with this angry and beating someone and asks him what happened? . Laksh tells that his car got crashed by Mayur's car while parking even though knowing that it's actually Neetu's. Laksh punches him so hard that he runs away from there even without taking his belongings. Laksh takes her hand and drags her to his car. Neetu is silent and in a state that she cannot speak anything. Laksh drives Neetu to her home and in the way asks

Laksh : Is he the type of guy you like that you even rejected me.

Neetu : (answers nothing and is in tears)

Laksh : Neetu...... you need a person who takes care of you throughout your life standing beside you, not someone who runs away from you when you are in problem. I'm not saying to think about me or love me but don't take hasty decisions to prove that you don't love me which is not true.

Laksh drops Neetu at home and seems to decide something big in his mind while leaving.

and now laksh know he had enough of neetu and his aunt playing with him....he should do something that will make things fine and back into place again....

Laksh calls Radhika and informs her that he want to cancel the land deal that is the result of Neetu and his future wedding and Radhika replies

"I am out of town and Ok!! If you want to cancel the deal, land is on Neetu's name you can get her sign, I will ask her to come to my office."

After that Mayur's incident Neetu knows that Laksh is very angry so she reaches her mom's office on time and waits for Laksh not to make him more pissed.

Laksh enters......

And receptionist asks him "Sir, do you have appointment to meet Neetu madam?"

laksh shouts "I don't need any appointment to meet her" and enters her cabin......

By seeing laksh, Radhika's manager also comes inside..........

Laksh puts the papers in front of neetu and orders her to sign it. Neetu wants to talk with Laksh to reduce his anger. But manager interrupts and asks her to give the papers to him so he can check before Neetu signs. Laksh shouts at manager

"what do you think of me? Am I going to steal her entire property?"

Neetu understood that Laksh is in angry mood now and immediately signs on it... (without checking).

while leaving office Laksh smiles and thanks her. Neetu in a very happy and cheerful tone that surprised her.

It's been three days and Laksh didn't try to contact Neetu even once.

After 3 days, Neetu and Meenu just finished their lunch together Radhika is still out of town on her business trip. Just then Neetu receives a courier and wonders what it is.

Laksh calls Neetu before she opens the envelope.

Neetu: hello Dr. Pranita Kashap speaking

Laksh:Uh huh not Pranita Kashap my love it is Pranita Banerjee. Hello to you to my love.

Neetu: Laksh???? Why are you calling me?

Laksh: wifey........ I called to congratulate you for our marriage.

Neetu: Marriage? I'm not gonna marry you.

Laksh: ohoooo my lovely wife, you have no choice now. Please open the envelop in your hand.

Neetu: (opens the envelope and finds copy of marriage certificate and asks in confusion) Laksh!!!! What is this?

Laksh: Our marriage certificate, my well educated wife.

Neetu: Marriage certificate? And why does it contain our names.

Laksh: my super cute innocent wife, you don't know what marriage certificate is! Ok let me explain. Marriage certificate is a document that proves that the couple listed on that paper/certificate are legal married.

Neetu: huh ....... what? But when did I sign it. It is forged Laksh.

Laksh: oh really? Think about it carefully.

Neetu: (remembers Laksh asking her to sign land documents) but......Is it Laksh really marriage certificate

Laksh: oh yes which means groom Laksh Benerjee., me is married to bride Pranita Kashyap ie., you wife.

Oh no Now what twist is this my life thought Neetu!!
