stomach bug invades the white house (pt 2)
*Henry gets a stomach bug. Will this bring Bill and Hillary back together? Thank you so much to ReneeThornton8 for helping me write this! Enjoy*
Henry ran to the telephone and happily answered it.
"Hello?" Henry asks, wondering who's on the phone
"Henry! Good morning, sweetheart!" Tipper happily says on the other line.
"Auntie Tip! Auntie Tip!" Henry says happily while gently jumping up and down.
"Well, now we know who it is mom." Chelsea says while smiling at her mother.
"I good! I got the stomach thingy!" Henry says to Tipper.
"Oh no! Al and Sienna have the stomach bug too!" Tipper says do Henry.
"Daddy is getting rweady for da meeting!" Henry says as he smiles at Hillary and Chelsea.
"Uncle Al is too!" Tipper says with a giggle.
"Hi, Auntie!" Chelsea says in the background.
"Hello, Chels! How are you?" Tipper says to Chelsea as Henry hands her the phone.
Hillary puts them phone on speaker so everybody can hear and talk to Tipped.
"I'm good! How are you?" Chelsea says to Tipper.
"I'm great! Last night was rough with Sienna but I'm doing great otherwise!" Tipper says to Hillary.
"We we're just thinking about calling you. It's almost like you read our minds!" Hillary says to Tipper and Tipper chuckles.
"And we had a rough night with Henry too. He is feeling a lot better today. But I know you said Albert and Sienna had a good few hours before feeling sick again." Hillary says to Tipper.
"That's exactly what happened. You think that they're on the mend. But the stomach bug is like nope. Here we go again." Tipper says to Hillary with a groan.
"How's Little Al?" Hillary asks Tipper.
"Little Al is feeling much better! He hasn't thrown up in a while which is good! I think he is on the mend." Tipper says with a grin.
"But let me guess. Sienna wasn't too pleased with the early Christmas present her big brother brought home to her? Aka the stomach bug?" Hillary asks her.
"She wasn't but she loves her big brother so much. They have been sleeping in his bed together, it's sweet." Tipper says to Hillary.
"Aw, that's nice. Chelsea and Henry do that all the time. He loves his big sister." Hillary says back with a smile.
"Love you sissy!" Henry says as he raises his arms, wanting his sister to pick him up.
"And I love you! Very much!" Chelsea says as she picks her brother up and gives him kisses on his cheeks.
"I hear giggling in the background. Are the kids there?" Hillary asks her.
"Yep! They just came from the bathroom after brushing their teeth. Had some blueberry waffles this morning and they both feel better after having some pedialyte. You wanna talk to the kids?" Tipper asks the trio
"Yes!" Chelsea and Henry say in unison
"What's the magic word, you two?" Tipper asks her godson and niece
"Please?" The two Clinton siblings say together.
"Little Al! Sienna! Come here! Auntie Hillary, Henry and Chelsea wanna talk!" Tipper says happily.
Little Al and Sienna both happily walk over to the phone to talk to Auntie Hillary, Henry and Chelsea.
"Hi, Albert! Hi, Sienna! How are you two feeling?" Hillary asks the two youngest Gore siblings.
"I feel a lot better, just tired!" Little Al says to Hillary.
"Hi, Auntie! I good!" Sienna says with a grin.
"That's good! I'm glad you two are feeling better!" Hillary says with a big smile.
"Hi, Sienna!" Henry says happily.
"Hi, Albert!" Chelsea says happily as well
"Hello!" Little Al says with a grin.
"Hiiiii!" Sienna says with a big smile.
"Hi, sweet girl!" Chelsea says with a smile
"Hi, Chelsea. Mama says I have to wear pull-ups even though I'm potty twrained. I'm a big girl! Why?" Sienna asks her
"Because you have the stomach bug. Your mama and daddy don't want you having so many accidents that you don't have any clean clothes or bedsheets left." Chelsea explains
"Chelsea's right, Sienna. It's not forever. Just until you're better." Hillary says to her godddaughter.
"I'm in pull ups too!" Henry says as he and Sienna both giggle.
"See you later Al! Love you!" Tipper says as she kisses her husband.
"Bye Daddy!" Sienna says as she runs over to Al.
"Bye!" Little Al says to Al hugging his dad.
"Bill is on his way, Al. He is getting dressed now." Hillary says Al and Tipper.
"I'll meet him in his office, but not before I see the three of you first." Al says playfully.
"Yay! I can't wait to see you, Uncle Al!" Henry says happily to his godfather.
"And I can't wait to see you, squirt. You and your sister!" Al says back to his godson.
"Uncle Al! Stop calling me squirt!" Henry says with a pouty face.
"Why? Everybody calls you that!" Al says with a chuckle at Henry.
"Oh, brother. Very funny." Henry says while facepalming.
"Al, get outta here mister. Otherwise you're gonna be late. You'll have time to talk to them more when you get to the White House." Tipper says with a stern voice before kissing him again.
"Ew! Gross!" Sienna says as she puts her hands in her face.
"Come on, little sis. It's not that gross!" Albert says playfully.
"It's really not." Al says as he picks Sienna up and attacks her with kisses
"No, Daddy! Stop!" Sienna says while laughing and her mom takes pictures with her camera.
"Now what do you think?" Al asks her with a grin.
"Okay, it's not that gross." Sienna says with a smile before her dad puts her down.
"I thought so. Okay, I'm off!" Al says as he heads out the door and into the SUV
"Bye, Dad!" Little Al and Sienna both say in unison as they wave at Al.
"Love you, babe!" Tipper says as she blows her husband a kiss.
"And I love you!" Al yells back as the SUV he's in and the secret service escort drives away from the Naval Observatory.
Bill walks out of the master bedroom dressed and ready for his meeting with Al.
"Is that the new cologne I got you as an early birthday gift?" Hillary says with a grin.
"It is! You like it?" Bill says with a small smirk.
"I do!" Hillary says with a big grin.
"Daddy! Uncle Al is coming!" Henry says with excitement.
"Okay, thank you for letting me know!" Bill says as he picks up Henry and kisses him.
"You're welcome, Daddy!" Henry says happily.
Sienna starts to yawn and wants her big brother to hold her. Albert gives her what he wants and holds his little sister without question
"Mom? I think someone's ready for a nap." Little Al says to his mom.
"Already? It's only 11:45 am. I guess that medicine is really taking effect." Tipper says as she kisses the top of Sienna's head.
"Alrighty then, we're gonna let you go. If the kids are feeling any better tonight, do y'all want to go bowling? We finally got the White House bowling alley fixed." Hillary asks Tipper.
"That sounds like fun! It'll be a good way to get the kids moving, but not too much, after being stuck in one place for so long because of them being sick." Tipper answers back
"Then that's a deal. We'll ask Al when he gets here and I'm sure he'll say yes too. We'll see you later." Hillary says
"Bye, Auntie." Sienna says softly as she closes her eyes
"Bye Auntie and Henry. Bye Chelsea." Little Al says as he rubs his sisters' back
"See ya!" Chelsea says with a smile
"By Auntie. I love you!" Henry says happily
"And I love all four of you. And Bill? No crazy business. Got it?" Tipper says sternly.
"Yes, ma'am. See ya!" Bill says playfully while mock saluting.
"Bye!" Tipper says happily.
"Bye bye!" Hillary says as she hangs up the phone, ending the call.
Henry hugs Bill tightly and Bill kisses his cheek.
"Are you sleepy too? You just woke up, squirt!" Bill says to Henry, checking to see if he feels warm and he doesn't:
"Well, he was up and down a lot last night so that could be why." Hillary says as she smiles at her boys together.
"You're right." Chelsea says to her dad as she rubs the top of Henry's head.
"How about we all go downstairs and greet Al when he comes?" Hillary asks her kids and husband
"Yay! I wanna see Uncle Al before I take my nap." Henry says with a grin.
"Then let's go." Hillary says as Bill puts him down and the two kids run downstairs.
Bill and Hillary try to keep up with their energetic five year old and eighteen year old.
"Jeez, those kids are fast. I keep forgetting that we're not young bucks like we were when Chelsea was little." Hillary says as she holds Bill's hand going down the stairs.
10 minutes later, they hear the doorbell ring at the West Wing door to the White House.
"Go see who it is!" Hillary says as Henry and Chelsea walk over to the door and Chelsea looks at the door.
Henry opens the door with Chelsea next to him and it's Al.
"UNCLE AL!" Henry and Chelsea both say happily.
"Hi, Henry! Hi, Chelsea!" Al says as he hugs Henry and Chelsea.
"How are you Al?" Hillary asks him as the two of them hug it out.
"I'm okay, Hill. Just tired. The last two nights with Sienna have been rough. But the first night with both kids being sick was even worse. I hate seeing my big guy and princess sick." Al says with a frown.
"We are tired too. Henry was up and down all night but luckily he's had a pretty good day." Hillary says as Bill nods and rubs her shoulders.
"Uncle Al! Come bowling wifth us! Auntie Tipper, Wittle Al and Sienna coming too!" Henry says with excitement.
"Sure, that sounds fun!" Al says with a cheeky grin.
"Alright! That settles that. Sorry, you had to see Henry and I in our pajamas, Uncle Al. We didn't have time to get dressed before you came." Chelsea says while laughing nervously.
"It's fine, Chelsea. You two are trying to rest. It has happened to us many times and you know that." Al says with a smile.
"Well, Uncle Al and I gotta go get this meeting under way. I should be back before we all eat lunch, okay? Be good and listen to Mom. Love you both so much." Bill says as he hugs and kisses Chelsea and Henry.
"Have a great meeting. Don't work too hard." Hillary says as he fixes Bill's tie.
"I won't. I'll call when I'm on my way back up here." Bill says as Hillary nods, hugging Bill tightly.
-
It is now 7 pm and after having at their respective homes, everyone is ready for the big bowling game!
Henry is getting all excited because he loves to go bowling!
"When will the Gores be here, Mommy?" Henry asks his mom.
"In about 15 minutes, Henry. Can you wait that long?" Hillary asks her son
"I think I can." Henry says while shrugging his shoulders.
"We're learning patience. How fun!" Chelsea says playfully.
"That's a hard thing to learn at five years old but you are doing so well." Hillary says as she brushes Henry's thick reddish brown hair.
Luckily Henry manages to sit still for Hillary.
"I love how I'm a blonde like you mom and Henry has reddish hair. Dads hair was this color?" Chelsea asks Hillary,
"It was! I know it's hard to believe. I met him and he had a long red beard, redder than Henry's hair is." Hillary says with a giggle.
"Daddy's hair wasn't always gray?" Henry asks out loud, causing Chelsea and Hillary to laugh.
"I heard that!" Bill says walking over to the trio wearing much more comfortable clothes instead of a suit.
"Yes, Daddy had darker hair than what you have! Your hair will probably change colors when you are older. I'll show you pictures of me and Daddy from when we first met." Hillary says to Henry.
"Ooooooo!" Henry says with big eyes.
"Yes, I had dark reddish brown hair! It hasn't been gray forever!" Bill says as he picks up Henry and tickles him.
"It's been gray forever to me!" Henry says as he giggles loudly.
"Ooooo! Ouch! He's calling you old, Dad." Chelsea says playfully to her dad.
"Is that a challenge, princess?" Bill playfully says back.
"Maybe!" Chelsea says with a cheeky grin.
"Daddy! I wanna hold the ball by myself!" Henry says as he hugs Bill.
"The bowling balls are heavy, bud. Mommy and I don't want you to get hurt. So you and Sienna will use the alligator tail! Remember how fun it was to push the ball down it?" Bill says to Henry.
"Yeah, but Sienna is wittle and I'm not!" Henry says to Bill and Hillary giggles.
"Yes you are, squirt. And you two gonna have the gutter bumpers on your lane so you get have any gutter balls." Hillary says with a smile.
Bill places Henry down and playfully messes his hair causing Henry to laugh.
"Let's tell Socks and Buddy bye and then we can go bowling. Uncle Al, Auntie Tipper, Sienna and Little Al should be there." Hillary says to Henry and Chelsea.
"BYE BUDDY! BYE SOCKS!" Henry says hugging the dog and cat happily.
"Woof!" Buddy says as he plays with one of his toys.
"Meow." Socks says quietly as he takes a nap on his pillow
That's when they hear a doorbell ring
"I hear a doorbell ringing from the main White House entrance. Let's go see who it is!" Hillary says happily as Henry and Chelsea run downstairs to the main door with her and Bill following close behind
"Who is it?" Henry asks playfully from his side of the door
"Yeah, who goes there?" Chelsea asks alongside her brother.
"SIENNA! AL! My Daddy and Mommy!" Sienna says as she giggles.
"She's right. It's all four of us. Open the door!" Al says with sass
"What's the magic word, Uncle Al?" Henry asks his godfather with a smile on his face.
"Please." Al says as Henry and Chelsea both open the door.
Al, Tipper, Little Al and Sienna all walk into the White House residence and hug Henry and Chelsea one by one.
"Auntie Tip!" Henry says excitingly as his godmother picks him up.
"Hi, sweet boy! How are you feeling?" Tipper asks her godson.
"Better!" Henry says with a big grin.
"That's good! I'm so glad!" Tipper says as she kisses Henry's cheek.
"Come here, princess!" Hillary says as Sienna rubs over to Hillary and Hillary picks her up.
"Hi, Auntie!" Sienna exclaims happily.
"Where's my hug?" Bill asks playfully to Sienna.
Hillary and Sienna giggle as Hillary hands Sienna to Bill and Bill happily hugs Sienna.
"Hi, Uncle Bill!" Sienna exclaims happily.
"Is my littlest princess feeling better?" Bill says to her as he kisses Sienna on the cheek
"Uh-huh. I slept a wot the past two days." Sienna explains to her godfather.
"Wait a minute. Your princess?" Al playfully asks Bill
"Yes, my Princess. She's my goddaughter so deal with it, Al!" Bill playfully answers back while sticking his tongue out at Al.
"Boys, behave! Or you two will be grounded. That means no ice cream for you tonight after our bowling game." Tipper says with a stern look and a slight smile on her face.
"Sorry." Al and Bill answer in shame, causing the four kids and Hillary to giggle at their dad's embarrassment.
"Who's ready to go bowling?" Hillary asks out loud with a big smile.
"Meee!" Henry, Chelsea, Little Al and Sienna all say in unison with big smiles.
Al, Tipper, Sienna, Henry, Chelsea, Little Al, Hillary and Al all walk down to the White House bowling alley.
Before Henry and Sienna go inside, Chelsea and Albert stop them.
"Hey, what's going on?" Henry asks his sister curiously
"Yeah, what?" Sienna says in agreement.
"We gotta put on our bowling shoes first. Anytime you go to a bowling alley, you have to put on different shoes." Chelsea explains to Henry and Sienna.
"Why?" Sienna asks in confusion.
"First, For safety. Having on our regular sneakers could cause us to trip and fall. Second, to protect the lanes. With bowling shoes, the lanes and the floor won't covered with dirt from outside." Little Al explains to Sienna and Henry.
"And third, they affect how you move. The soles of bowling shoes are super slick and usually made of rubber. Stopping us from sliding after you throw your bowling ball." Al finishes explaining for the two older kids.
"Wow, that's cool!" Henry says and Sienna nods in agreement.
Al, Tipper, Little Al, Sienna, Henry, Chelsea, Hillary and Bill all get their bowling shoes on before heading into the bowling alley!
"Before we start we gotta be put into teams. And we know what the matchup is gonna be." Hillary says with a smile.
"What's that?" Bill asks his wife curiously
"Boys vs Girls." Hillary says with a evil smile on her face
"I like this matchup. Bring it on!" Chelsea says with a determined look on her face
"Right, Chelsea!" Sienna says in agreement
"Any rewards for the winning team and consequences for the losing team?" Al asks his wife.
"Yes! Hill and I talked about this. We haven't thought of a reward yet, but we will. However, the losers have to give the opposing team massages and do double chores for an entire week!" Tipper says with a big smile on her face
"You've gotta be kidding!" Bill and Al say in unison .
"Come on!" Henry says with a groan.
"What?! Mom, are you serious?" Little Al asks his mom.
"I'm very serious. Hillary and I were bummed that we lost our bowling game to your Dad and Uncle at your sweet 16th birthday party. So we want revenge." Tipper explains to her son.
"Is that a challenge, Mary Elizabeth Aitcherson Gore?" Al asks his wife playfully before giving her a kiss.
"It is, Albert Arnold Gore Jr. So do you boys accept the challenge in or not?" Tipper asks the boys.
"Oh it's on alright!" Al says with a smile at Tipper.
"Game on!" Bill says with a smirk at Hillary.
"Yeah! Game on!" Henry says as he smiles up at Bill.
"Let's do this! Boys rule, girls drool!" Little Al says playfully.
"Oh, it's on alright!" Al says with a smile at Tipper.
"Game on!" Bill says with a smirk at Hillary.
"Yeah! Game on!" Henry says as he smiles up at Bill and Bill smiles down at Henry.
"Let's do this! Boys rule, girls drool!" Little Al says playfully.
"Alright! So here's how it's gonna work. There's gonna be 10 frames and we don't have to keep score because those screens up there will do it for us. We're gonna go in this order for the teams. Sienna, Chelsea, Tipper, and myself. And for the boys it'll be Henry, Little Al, Al, and Bill. We're gonna go head to head and once one person on the opposing team has had their turn, the next will go. Whichever team has the highest combined score wins! Everyone understand?" Hillary asks everyone and everyone nods in agreement.
Bowling Rivals:
Sienna vs. Henry
Chelsea vs. Little Al
Tipper vs. Al
Bill vs. Hillary
"If there are no questions, then let's get this game started!" Al says excitingly.
"Let's do this!" Little Al says with a grin.
"I'm gonna kick your butt!" Chelsea says to Al with sass.
"No, Chels! I'm gonna win!" Little Al says to Chelsea.
"The boys are gonna win, darlin'." Bill says playfully, causing Hillary to smirk at him.
"I don't think so, honey. The girls are going to win." Hillary says with grin and kisses Bill.
All of the kids pick out a bowling ball while the adults get the lanes ready.
-
After almost two hours, a couple breaks, and nine intense frames of competition, they're at the 10th and final frame.
The boys have a total of 577 points, which means the ladies need 578 or more to win. It comes down to Hillary to win it for the girls!
"It's all up to you, Hill. We're behind by 22 points which means you need to score 23 points or more in your final frame to win! Can you do it?" Tipper asks her friend.
"I believe I can. I bowled three strikes in a row earlier to catch us up with the boys? They don't stand a chance." Hillary says with determination.
"Yeah. After you bowled two gutter balls before that, darlin'." Bill says playfully, causing the boys to laugh.
"Mom, don't listen to them. Just do what you do best and prove em' wrong." Chelsea says with a determined look on her face.
"Go Auntie! You can do it!" Sienna says happily.
With the support of her best friend, daughter, and niece, Hillary gets into her position and rolls her ball down the lane. Bowling a strike on her first roll!
"Yes! That's another 10 points!" Hillary says.
"Oh, boy. She did this earlier and they caught up. Is this a sign?" Bill says to Al
"I really hope not." Al says nervously.
"Nice shot, mom! Do it again!" Chelsea says with a cheer.
Hillary gets into position and bowls her ball down the lane again. Scoring another strike!
"Yay, Auntie!" Sienna exclaims happily and claps her hands.
"You get one more turn since you bowled another strike. Knock just three of those pins over and we win!" Tipper says with
excitement.
"We got this Tip." Hillary says to her.
Ignoring the negativity from the boys trying to distract her, she bowls her ball one more time down the lane. It hits the pins and Bam. Strike three! With 585 points, the girls team wins it!
The girls start to hug each other when they realize what just happened.
"We win! We win! We win!" All four girls say in unison with excitement
"Victory! My middle name is not Victoria for nothing!" Chelsea says happily.
"Mommy, we won!" Sienna says happily in agreement as her mom picks her up.
"Yes we did, sweet girl! Hillary? Nice work, girlfriend!" Tipper says while giving her another hug
"Thank you! You lose boys!" Hillary says, pointing at them.
"I can't believe it!" Little Al says in disbelief.
"We lost?" Henry says with a frown on his face.
"We did, buddy. This just proves you're mom is as good at bowling now than she was before you and your sister were born." Bill says with a smile.
Henry begins to cry, upset and not understanding that sometimes you lose things and that's okay.
"Mommy! Henny crwying!" Sienna says with a frown.
Hillary's smile turns upside down as she hears her baby boy crying.
"Henry, come here baby. Come here." Hillary says as Henry walks over to her with Hillary hugging him tight.
"Mommy? Auntie? I don't like losing." Henry says softly while crying on his moms' chest.
"I know, baby. I know. But sometimes you lose things in life and that's okay. Auntie was just messing with you guys about the chores. It was just to make it more competitive and more fun. Don't cry, it's okay." Hillary says as she holds Henry close to her. Despite him being almost half her size, Hillary still loves to hold her baby boy.
"Really? I panicked for nothing! Ugh, mom!" Little Al says with annoyance.
"You guys don't do the chores! Bill and Dad do!" Tipper says with a chuckle.
Sienna frowns at Henry crying and wants to be held by Tipper. Tipper happily picks up Sienna and holds her close.
"I think someone is s-l-e-e-p-y." Hillary says as she kisses Henry, who has since calmed down.
"I think I might know what will make Sienna and Henry not tired. Who wants ice cream?" Bill asks happily with a smile on his face.
"We do! We do! We do!" All four kids say in excitement.
"Well, that got their attention real fast. All of us could use a sweet treat after the game we just had." Hillary says with a smile.
"You're not tired anymore, princess?" Al asks his daughter as he rubs her head full of brown hair.
"No way. Not after hwearing that!" Sienna says as she gives her mom a kiss.
"That's my girl. Oh, and boys. You still have to go through one part of the bet. Massages for all of us ladies for a whole week. And that Includes Karenna, Kristin, and Sarah when they come home to DC for the holidays. Andrew won't be exempt from this either." Tipper says with a smirk on her face.
"Say what?!" Bill and Al both say in unison.
"Oh, come on mom!" Little Al says in annoyance.
"Yeah!" Henry says, agreeing with him.
"Keep complaining and Hillary and I will put the double chores consequence back on the table. And you don't want that to happen, right?" Tipper says with a stern look on her face.
All the boys immediately shake their heads no .
"No!" All four of the guys say in unison.
"Okay, honey. You win. We lost the game and us men have to face the consequences." Al says, finally accepting defeat.
Bill, Little Al, and Henry all nod in agreement..
"Well, that's one way to stop the men from complaining." Chelsea says playfully.
"Chelsea Victoria Clinton? Knock it off. Be a good sport." Hillary says to her daughter.
"Sorry." Chelsea apologizes softly.
"It's okay." Hillary says back as she kisses her daughter on the cheek.
"Oooo. Your mom got you good, Chels. Ha! That's what you get." Little Al says playfully to her and Chelsea rolls her eyes.
"Albert Arnold Gore III? Just because you're sixteen doesn't mean your spared from me scolding you. Now cut it out." Tipper says while pointing at her son.
"Okay, mom." Little Al says while trying to get back in his mom's good graces.
"That's my boy." Tipper says before kissing her son on the cheek.
"Mom! Not again." Little Al says while covering his face in embarrassment.
"My poor big bwother. Embarrassed by mommy once again." Sienna says with a smile on her face.
Henry giggles in amusement over Albert's "misfortune."
"Not...funny." Little Al says in annoyance, causing everyone to laugh.
"You are getting heavy Henry! Daddy might have to carry you!" Hillary says as Henry giggles.
Bill picks up Henry and places him on his shoulders.
"Hold on!" Bill says loudly as Henry grabs Bill's gray hair causing Bill to yell.
"Ow! Not that tight!" Bill yells back at Henry.
"I'm so tall!" Henry says as he smiles and giggles.
"You will be Daddy's height at this rate!" Hillary says to Henry, smiling at him.
"Sisi, do you want to be on your Daddy's shoulders too?" Tipper asks Sienna.
"Uh huh!" Sienna says as she claps her hands.
"Come here, princess!" Al says as he picks up Sienna and carefully puts her on his shoulders.
"Yay! I'm tall like Dad now!" Sienna says happily and smiling big just like her mama.
"I swear. This man has made Sienna the center of his world even before she was born. As if I couldn't love him anymore than I do." Tipper says while smiling at her husband and daughter.
"What about me?" Little Al says with some jealousy
"You were and still are the center of Mom and I's world too because you are our only boy as well as a miracle because of your accident." Al says as he hugs Little Al causing him to smile.
"You're right, Dad. I remember being scared as heck when you and mom told me and my sisters that she was expecting. Becuase I thought I wouldn't be loved as much anymore with a new baby in the mix. That thankfully turned out not to be the case." Little Al says while looking at his mom and little sister.
"Wuv you, Albie!" Sienna says as she blows Little Al a kiss.
"Sissy! Did you think that too?" Henry asks, wondering if his big sister felt the same way when he was born.
"A little bit! But I was more excited because I was finally getting a sibling! It took mom and dad long enough!" Chelsea says as she giggles.
"I love you!" Henry says as he too blows a kiss to Chelsea.
"Henry was an absolute surprise. After miscarrying in 84', your mom and I were content having you as our only one." Bill explains to Chelsea.
"But, man. When we announced that I was pregnant at the main Inaugural ball that night, everyone was so happy! And so we're we! Even though you and the Gores knew already, that was the night we finally announced it to the rest of the country." Hillary says before blowing her son a kiss.
"Alrighty! Now that that's over with, Let's go have some ice cream!" Al says with a big smile
"Yay! Ice cream!" Henry and Sienna both yell happily
"Did I overhear someone say ice cream?" Secret Service agent Phil says as he comes in.
"Hi!" All eight of them say to Phil
"There's an ice cream parlor still open right now. We can take you all there to get ice cream and then drop the Gores off afterwards. How does that sound?" Phil asks with a smile on his face.
"Sounds good to me!" Little Al says with a smile.
"Can we go Dad?" Chelsea asks him.
"Please?" Henry and Sienna ask with big eyes
"Oh, alright. Let's go!" Bill says, he and the other three adults giving in to the kids demands.
Bill, Hillary, Chelsea, Henry, Al, Tipper, Little Al and Sienna all load up in a big SUV and take the seven minute drive to Larry's Homemade Ice Cream to get the sweet treat they all have been wanting.
"What flavor are y'all gonna get?" Bill asks everyone as he wraps his arm around Hillary.
"Chocolate with chocolate sprinkles!" Henry says proudly.
"Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles!" Sienna says as she smiles.
"Mint Chocolate Chip for me!" Little Al says with a smile.
"And Blue Moon ice cream for me!" Chelsea says happily.
"What about you, honey?" Bill asks Hillary as he rubs her back.
"I'm not sure yet!" Hillary says as she smiles at Bill and softly kisses him.
"Oooooooo!" Al and Tipper exclaim playfully to the duo.
"What?" Hillary asks them with some confusion.
"Oh, nothing. It's just another step in the right direction for you two and we love to see it." Al answers back.
"He's right, you know. You're slowly getting there. What are you gonna get, sweetie? I'm gonna get strawberry ice cream." Tipper says to her husband happily as she kisses Al's cheek
"I might get cookies 'n' cream!" Al says with a smile at Tipper.
"Do you mind me wrapping my arm around you?" Bill asks Hillary, whispering in Hillary's ear.
"It's fine, thank you for asking." Hillary says to Bill, whispering in Bill's ear.
"I think I'll get some chocolate ice cream. I'm in the mood for it." Hillary says to her husband.
"I see one of my favorites. Superman ice cream!" Bill says with big eyes.
After the seven minute drive, the Clinton and the Gores head into Larry's Homemade Ice Cream.
Luckily since it is later, Secret Service isn't on top of them like they usually are when either family goes out.
One by one, each Clinton and Gore order what ice cream they want!
Once they all get their ice cream cones and pay for them, the eight sit down and enjoy their delicious sweet treats.
"Mmmmm! This is so good!" Henry says happily.
"It sure is!" Chelsea and Little Al say in unison.
"Mmmmm!" Sienna says with a smile
"Is that good, Princess?" Al asks his daughter.
"Uh huh!" Sienna says with ice cream all over her face.
Al chuckles and rubs Sienna's face with a napkin.
"Henry, you are getting ice cream all over you silly." Hillary says as Henry giggles and smiles.
"I'm sorry, Mommy. It's just so good." Henry says to his mom as she wipes his face and rubs the top of his head.
"We know it is, bud." Bill says with a smile.
"Mommy, why isn't anybody here?" Sienna asks Tipper.
"It's because it's later and plus it's almost winter so a lot of people don't get ice cream." Tipper explains to Sienna.
"No, it's because secret service kicked everybody out." Little Al says to Sienna.
"Nobody was kicked out. You know Uncle Bill doesn't allow that." Al says sternly to his son.
"Sorry, dad." Little Al says while hanging his head down.
"It's alright. I knew you were just kidding." Al says as he rubs his sons' head.
"Hey, Albert, you got something on your nose." Tipper says playfully as she puts a smudge of ice cream on her sons' nose.
Sienna giggles at Little Al while Little Al playfully rolls his eyes.
Chelsea puts ice cream on Henry's nose causing him to laugh happily.
"Sissy!" Henry says to Chelsea and Chelsea smiles at her little brother.
"What? I can't help it. You're just so cute!" Chelsea says as she kisses his cheek.
"Sienna? Open up!" Little Al says as he puts some of his mint chocolate ice cream on a spoon and tries to feed it to his little sister.
"But Albie. I'm no baby. I'm a big girl!" Sienna says as she sticks her tongue out at her big brother.
"So? Anybody can be fed ice cream silly!" Little Al says to Sienna.
"Yeah, Sisi! Your mom and dad do! So does my mom and dad." Chelsea says to Henry.
"Yeah! And kiss alwot!" Henry says to Chelsea.
"Cooties!" Sienna says as she and Henry giggle.
"That can be arranged." Al says as he kisses his wife on the lips before giving his daughter a kiss on the cheek.
"Wuv you, Mommy and Daddy!" Sienna says happily.
"We love you too, sweety!" Tipper says as she hugs her daughter tightly.
Henry looks at his parents, causing Hillary and Bill to laugh. Hillary and Bill each kiss one of Henry's cheeks softly before tenderly kissing each other, something they haven't done in months.
"Yayyyyy!" All the kids say happily seeing the two kiss for the first time in who knows how long.
"That's another barrier down and a couple more to go." Hillary says after kissing her husband.
"I agree wholeheartedly." Bill says as he smiles at Hillary
"Mom, you're still not done with your ice cream?" Little Al asks her with a chuckle.
"I'm at the cone now, but can't help it. It's so good!" Tipper says to her son.
"You craved strawberry ice cream so much when you were pregnant with Sienna. It was kinda ridiculous that you wanted me to buy you some every week, but anything to make you happy. Despite the grocery store being worried that they wouldn't have any left to sell because of us." Al says playfully with a smile, causing everyone to laugh
"Oh shush!" Tipper says playfully to Al and Al laughs.
"That was creamsicle for Hill when she was pregnant with Henry." Bill says with a grin.
"Now I can't even look at them!" Hillary says, causing everyone to laugh.
"What Mommy mean by that, sissy?" Henry asks his sister curiously.
"There were times where mom had creamsicle wrappers all over the floor in Dad's office after eating them. It was kinda ridiculous. And I got tired of eating them myself." Chelsea says while rolling her eyes
"Mommy was being messy. Ooooooo!" Henry says playfully to his mother.
"Everybody makes messes. Daddy's desk is always a mess isn't it?" Hillary says as she giggles and smiles at Bill and Henry.
"Uh huh! Papers everywhere!" Henry says to Hillary.
"My Daddy's too!" Sienna says as she giggles.
"Do you kids have to call us out like this every time?" Al asks while rolling his eyes.
"Dad, the answer is yes." Little Al says playfully back.
"Exactly! Even as adults and your wives, we always seem to be picking up after you. As always." Hillary says with a grin.
"Right. There was this time when Henry was a toddler and Sienna was a baby. Those two made it to Bill's office and and scattered his and Al's papers on his desk everywhere. It was hilarious and the looks on your Dad's faces were priceless. I still got the pictures!" Tipper says to her husband and Bill while laughing.
"Yeah, and the following week you sent a couple of them to CNN and they showed them for the whole country to see. Boy, did we end up as the laughing stock of the week." Al says while blushing and putting his hands in his face.
"For sure! But I think they helped us get that one bill we wanted to pass!" Bill says with a grin.
"I guess there was a silver lining to that after all!" Chelsea says playfully.
"Exactly." Hillary says, agreeing with her daughter
About 10 minutes later, Bill, Hillary, Chelsea, Henry, Al, Tipper, Little Al are now in the SUV, heading back to their homes for the night.
Henry is sitting on his mama's lap while Sienna is sitting on her daddy's lap. Chelsea is laying on her Dad's shoulder while Albert is laying on his mom's.
Henry yawns and lays his head on Hillary's chest while Sienna has her eyes closed, slowly drifting asleep.
"Daddy, I'm sleepy." Sienna says while yawning.
"I am too. It's been a fun day." Al says as he kisses Sienna's cheek.
"Henry, are you asleep?" Hillary asks Henry softly and rubbing his head
"No." Henry says softly as Hillary smiles and rubs Henry's back.
"You're going to be asleep pretty soon." Hillary says as he starts to slowly close his eyes.
"I'm tired, but not like those two are." Little Al says while laying on his mom's shoulder
"Me neither." Chelsea says, agreeing with him.
"Well, we are all going to bed once we get home." Bill says with a grin.
Henry and Sienna are both now fast asleep in their mom and dad's arms.
"Today has been super long. But totally needed after all these kids faced this week." Hillary says
"I agree. And I think my boy is getting sleepy." Tipper says playfully
"No, I'm not." Little Al says as he lays his head on his mom's lap and she rubs his back
"Chels is asleep too. Did they put melatonin in the ice cream?" Bill asks playfully causing all of the adults chuckles.
"No, silly. You know they can't do that." Hillary playfully answers back to her husband.
"I know, I'm just joking silly." Bill says playfully to Hillary.
"Oh, boy. You two see what I've had to deal with the past 23 years?" Hillary asks Al and Tipper.
Al and Tipper chuckle and smile at Hillary and Bill.
"Yes. I've been dealing with his antics for 28 years. Five years longer than you." Tipper answers playfully back to Hillary.
"If Hillary said yes the first time we would have been married longer." Bill says as Hillary smacks his leg playfully causing Al and Tipper to laugh again.
After a seven minute drive, the motorcade pulls up to the Naval Observatory
"Daddy? Are we home?" Sienna asks when she yawns after feeling the SUV stop.
"We are, baby girl. I'll carry you to bed okay?" Al says and Sienna nods before Al gives her a kiss.
Meanwhile Henry is still fast asleep on Hillary causing Bill to smile who has Chelsea sleeping on his shoulder.
"Albert, wake up sweetheart." Tipper says as she nudges her son to wake up
"Finally home. I can't wait to get into my bed." Little Al says as he starts to sit up.
"Chels, baby. We are gonna be home shortly." Bill says as Chelsea groans.
"Carry me." Chelsea says to Bill.
"I'll try but you are a lot taller than Mom." Bill says as he rubs Chelsea's head.
"Good night, Uncle Bill." Sienna says softly as she yawns in her Dad's arms again
"Sweet dreams, Princess." Bill says as he kisses her on the forehead before Al carries her out the SUV and into the house
"See you tomorrow." Little Al sleepily as he also gets out of the SUV. His mom coming out right after.
"See ya tomorrow morning like always, Bill." Al says with a grin.
"See ya, Al." Bill says happily.
"Goodnight, Hill. If Bill gives you any trouble tonight, please let me know." Tipper says playfully to her so Bill can hear.
"I heard that." Bill says playfully.
"Call me tomorrow! We need to go Christmas shopping soon!" Hillary says and Tipper nods.
"Oh for sure! We need to finish!" Tipper says happily.
Tipper, Al, Sienna and Little Al all walk into their home and the SUV heads over to the White House.
Henry continues to sleep on Hillary whole Chelsea is now awake.
"Do you want me to hold Henry, Hill?" Bill asks Hillary.
"Only if you want to. I know you already got Chelsea laying on your shoulder." Hillary says.
"You said you would carry me, Dad!" Chelsea says with some sass.
"I said I might, sweet girl." Bill says playfully to Chelsea.
"Oh, boy. Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with three kids. Not just two." Hillary says playfully.
Bill and Chelsea both chuckle and smile at Hillary.
Henry wiggles around in his sleep but is still peacefully sleeping.
"Thank goodness we put him in comfy clothes so we don't have to change him." Bill says to Hillary.
"Right." Chelsea says, agreeing with her mother, causing Bill to playfully roll his eyes.
Once at the White House, Hillary, Henry, Bill and Chelsea all get out of the SUV and head inside after a wonderful family day!
