"Good morning, princess! Did you take a nice morning nap? Hmm?" Bill says softly as he slowly opens up the shades in Hope's nursery while Hope sits in her crib, trying to wake up after sleeping for three hours.

This morning Hope decided to wake up at 5am, something she hasn't done since she was a newborn baby. Hope usually wakes up between 6-7am with Hillary taking care of her since Bill likes to sleep in most mornings.

But due to Hillary being out of town, Bill has been on baby duty 24/7, something he enjoys very much despite how tired he is.

Bill and Hope have been at the house together alone with the Clinton family dogs Tally and Maisie since Hillary is currently in Spain and has been there since May 30th for several conferences including "A Life In Global Politics" and "The Global Women Leaders Summit"

Bill walks over to the crib and looks in to see Hope sitting in her crib, still trying to wake up. Hope looks up, seeing her Daddy and she instantly smiles ear to ear.

*Hope's pajamas*

"DA DA!" Hope says with her purple pacifier in her mouth.

"Hi, Hopey! Hi, baby girl! Did you sleep good? Hmm? Let's get you out of your crib and let's get dressed for the day!" Bill says in a babyfied voice at Hope, while Hope does grabby hands up at Bill.

Bill picks up Hope, holding her close to his chest and giving her lots of kisses, causing her to giggle loudly.

"Daddy loves you soooo much! Yes I do!" Bill says doing Eskimo kisses with Hope as he smiles at her.

"Ba ba baaaa!" Hope babbles loudly causing Bill to giggle.

"Yeah! Let me change your clothes and diaper!" Bill says as he lays Hope down on her changer table.

Bill begins to undress Hope out of her pajamas, putting them in her hamper. Hope wiggles around on the changing table while Bill manages to grab a fresh diaper and wipes.

"You gotta stay still, princess! Daddy isn't as quick as he used to be with your brother and sister." Bill says as he manages to change Hope's diaper.

"Aaa ba baaa!" Hope babbles loudly, kicking her feet happily.

"I know! You are a wiggle worm! This outfit is adorable! Mariah got this for you!" Bill says as he begins to put the outfit on Hope. 

*Hope's outfit*

"There you go! All ready for the day! Pretty girl!" Bill says as picks up Hope and holds her.

Bill then begins to fix Hope's hair by trying to push it down because it is sticking up.

"Ba ba!" Hope babbles as she points at the door, where Tally and Maisie are standing.

"There's Tally and Maisie! Are you hungry, girls? Let's all eat some lunch! Mmm!" Bill says as Hope babbles happily.

Bill, Hope, Tally and Maisie all head downstairs together.

"Let's go outside, girlies! I know you two gotta go out." Bill says as he unlocks the sliding glass door and opens the door, letting the dogs out.

Tally and Maisie quickly run outside to go to the restroom before running back in.

"Good girls! Now drink some water." Bill says as he shuts the sliding glass door, causing Hope to fuss.

"What's wrong? Hmm?" Bill asks Hope as Hope continue to fuss, wanting to go outside.

Bill then realizes why Hope is upset, she wants to go outside, something she does just about everyday and something she really enjoys especially with Bill.

"We can't go outside, baby. The air is too bad for us to breathe. Tally and Maisie can't stay outside very long either that's why they came in so fast." Bill says as he tries to calm Hope down.

"See, there is a wild fire happening in Canada and due to the wind blowing, the smoke is by our house now and it's way worse by sissy's house! So because of the smoke, it makes the sky look orange and hazy and not blue and pretty like it usually is. The air can make us sick, baby girl. Especially Daddy. Uncle Al kept telling people about climate change but they didn't wanna listen back then!" Bill tries to explain to Hope.

Hope smiles ear to ear when Bill says Uncle Al, which makes Bill smile, because he knows Hope loves her Uncle Al very much. Hope is also not fussing anymore, which relieves Bill because he hates when Hope is upset.

"Okay, baby girl! Let's get some lunch! Mmm! I know you are hungry. Daddy is hungry too!" Bill says as Hope babbles happily.

Bill and Hope walk into the kitchen with Tally and Maisie following closely behind. Tally and Maisie begin to dance around, wanting their lunch now.

Bill and Hope watch the dogs do their dance for a few seconds before Bill places Hope in her high chair.

"I'm going to make Tally and Maisie's lunch first okay? And then I'll make our lunch! Mmm! And look! It's Ms. Rachel!" Bill says as he quickly pulls up Hope's favorite Ms. Rachel video on his iPhone, which is Wheels On The Bus.

"Aaaa!" Hope squeals loudly as she happily watches the video while Bill begins to make Tally and Maisie's lunch.

Hope copies some of the moves Ms. Rachel is doing during the video, causing Bill to giggle. Hope watches this video every single day, so she knows the whole video just about.

"There you go, Tally and Maisie! Enjoy!" Bill says, putting Tally and Maisie's bowls on the floor.

Tally and Maisie happily begin to eat their lunch while Bill washes his hands.

"Hopey, do you want an apple sauce pouch? Hmmm? Mama got you lots of baby foods and applesauce pouches to enjoy!" Bill says as Hope babbles happily.

Bill grabs a GoGo Squeez pouch from the refrigerator and opens it up for Hope.

"Here you go, baby! Enjoy! I'm going to make us grill cheese sandwiches and some broccoli! Mmm!" Bill says as he hands Hope the apple sauce pouch.

Bill then quickly grabs a bib that says "My Daddy Was President" and puts it on Hope so she doesn't mess up her outfit.

"Aaaa!" Hope says as she continues to watch her Ms. Rachel video while she enjoys her apple sauce.

Just then, Bill's iPhone begins to ring a specific ringtone, a ringtone that's just for Hillary.

"Hopey! Mommy is calling!" Bill says as Hope pouts, a little upset that her Ms. Rachel time is being interrupted.

Bill happily answers the FaceTime call and sees Hillary, the love of his life.

*Hillary's outfit*

"Hi, baby!" Bill says with a humungous smile, so happy to see his wife since he hasn't seen her in a few days.

"Hi! It's so good to see you, I miss you so much." Hillary says with a cheeky grin.

"I miss you too, you have no idea." Bill says, causing Hillary to giggle.

"Oh, I'm sure." Hillary says as she playfully rolls her eyes and then smiles at Bill.

Hope fusses in the background, causing Hillary to frown.

"Aww, what's wrong with Hope?" Hillary asks Bill, sad her daughter is upset.

"You interrupted her Ms. Rachel time." Bill says playfully to Hillary.    

"Oh, no! I'm sorry, baby. Mommy just wanted to check on you and Daddy." Hillary explains to the almost eight month old.

"Thankfully, she just started watching it when you called or she would've been even more mad at you." Bill says as Hope babbles in the background.

"Oh, boy. Having an attitude just like her brother and sister." Hillary says playfully to Bill.

"Exactly. Do you wanna see her outfit?" Bill asks Hillary with a smile.

"Of course I do! What pretty outfit does my pretty girl have on today?" Hillary asks out loud.

Bill sets his iPhone in the upright position on the kitchen counter before he picks up Hope, taking her bib off.

"Look, Hopey! There's Mommy!" Bill says as he points at the iPhone, causing Hope to smile ear to ear.

"Hi, Hope! Hi, baby! Mommy misses you sooo much! Are you being a good girl for Daddy?" Hillary asks Hope as Hope babbles loudly at her Mommy.

"Ma Ma!" Hope says while reaching for the iPhone.

"You've been saying that a lot lately! I love you!" Hillary says while blowing her a kiss.

"Well she did say it for the first time on Mother's Day! I think one of your best Mother's Day gifts you ever got." Bill says as he gives Hope a kiss.

"Definitely! Didn't Mariah buy that cute outfit for her?" Hillary asks him.

"She did! I sent her a picture and she loves it! Sending me two yellow heart emojis!" Bill says.

"Such a bright and kind girl. Her dad would've been proud!" Hillary says while thinking about Miguel.

Hope smiles at her Mommy, causing Hillary and Bill to both smile. Hope is still holding her apple sauce and begins to eat it again.

"Daddy didn't put a bib on you, baby girl?" Hillary asks Hope as she giggles.

"She had one on, don't worry! She had the one you got made for her." Bill says as he shows Hillary the bib before putting it back on Hope.

"Are you having fun in Spain, love?" Bill asks Hillary as he gives Hope a kiss.

"Oh I am! I wish you would have came with me!" Hillary says to Bill.

"I know but you need your own trips too." Bill says as Hope continues to eat her apple sauce.

"I suppose you're right. Wait a minute. Bill? Why do her pants look weird on her?" Hillary asks him.

"What are you taking about?" Bill asks with a look of confusion on his face.

"They look backwards! Oh my Lord." Hillary says to Bill as she playfully rolls her eyes.

Bill looks for the tag on her pants and realizes that it's on the front, not the back. And he also sees that he put her diaper on backwards.

"You're right! And I saw that I put her diaper on backwards!" Bill says while trying to not laugh.

"Bill Clinton! How did that happen?" Hillary asks him with a giggle.

"Little Missy here didn't wanna stay still while I got her dressed!" Bill says as Hope babbles at her Daddy.

"Someone's trying to plead their case." Hillary says with a smile.

"I'm sure I'm not the only parent to make this mistake. Joe made this mistake with Jacob last year in May when Jill came home from Europe." Bill says with a giggle.

"Hey, he had pajamas on Jacob, they were on right!" Hillary says playfully to Bill.

"Hopey, I gotta fix your diaper and pants so we need to put the applesauce down. I don't want you to choke, baby." Bill says as Hope pouts.

Hope starts to fuss when he Daddy takes her snack away, causing her parents to frown.

"I know, princess. I'll give it back to you in a minute. And yes, Jacob's pajamas were on right, but his diaper was not and he peed through his pajamas!" Bill says while laughing as he takes Hope to the living room and lays her on the couch.

"When Joe told us that, I didn't want to believe it!" Hillary says.

"Me either!" Bill says as he quickly fixes Hope's diaper and pants.

"There you go, baby girl! All done!" Bill says as he picks up Hope and walks back into the kitchen from the living room.

"Tally and Maisie are still eating, my goodness!" Bill says as he shows Maisie and Tally eating their lunch.

"You know they are older and that's why. We are slow eaters too." Hillary says, causing Bill to laugh.

"Are you saying we're old?" Bill asks while looking surprised.

"Maybe." Hillary says while winking at her husband

"Da Da!" Hope says, wanting some attention.

"I love this girl so much!" Bill says while looking at Hope.

"So do I! How are you two holding up at home? I know the air quality isn't the best right now where you are. That's why I called to check on you two." Hillary explains.

"We doing pretty good! Hope was sad that we couldn't go outside and play but she has been great otherwise! The sky looks orange! It's kinda spooky outside to be honest! I called Henry and Mia and they are doing good, just staying in with baby Liam. Chelsea and Marc are doing good too, the kids are going to be out of school early today." Bill says to Hillary.

"That's crazy schools are even open!" Hillary huffs in annoyance.

"No one wants another covid type lockdown." Bill says as Hillary rolls her eyes.

"God forbid we need to stay inside because the air is so bad that it could make us sick." Hillary says as she sips on her drink.

"Right." Bill says with a sigh.

Just then, he gets a text message from Mariah.

Mariah: We'll be getting out of school at 2:10 today because of the bad air quality. Can I come by today? I wanna see Hope! And you of course lol 🥺🥰

"Aww, Mariah just texted me. Hold on, let me text her back." Bill says as he figures out how to text and still FaceTime Hillary at the same time, causing Hillary to giggle.

Bill: Of course you can! Hope and I can't wait to see you! Please be careful outside, wear a mask!

"Is she okay?" Hillary asks Bill, worried about Mariah and what she had to say.

"She is good, she was just asking if she can come over after school to visit. Her high school must be getting out early too." Bill says to Hillary.

"Oh my! I wonder how Al and his family are holding up in Virginia since they're half an hour away from DC?" Hillary asks while looking concerned.

"I'll call and check on them later. I did check the AQI where they are. It's not super high like ours is, but at the same time it's not great." Bill explains.

"Ma Ma!" Hope says happily to Hillary.

"Yes, baby girl? I miss you! I've been showing everyone your picture and everyone says you are sooooo cute!" Hillary says, causing Hope to smile.

"Yeah, I saw King Felipe kissing you and smiling at you. Someone has a crush on you!" Bill says playfully to Hillary.

"Don't remind me. His wife, Queen Letizia, loved Hope's little crown she wore when you FaceTimed me the other day. Hope is making them miss their two daughters baby days!" Hillary says happily to Bill.

"She is a princess! Right?" Bill asks Hope and she babbles at her Daddy.

"She is the princess in our family." Hillary says as she smiles at Bill and Hope.

"Here baby, do you wanna finish your apple sauce? I will cook lunch after we finish talking with Mommy." Bill says to Hope.

"Uh oh! I interrupted lunch time? I'm sorry! I wanted to call before I headed out to dinner with Huma and Jordan." Hillary says, feeling bad to interrupt lunch time.

"It's okay! I didn't start cooking yet! I fed the dogs and gave Hope some apple sauce and that's it so far." Bill says to Hillary.

"Ooooo! Goodies for the big girl! Is it good, Hopey?" Hillary asks her daughter.

"Aaaaaa!" Hope yells happily before putting the pouch back into her mouth.

"What's for lunch today?" Hillary asks Bill.

"She's going to have a cut up grilled cheese sandwich and some broccoli. I'm going to cook some salmon and a baked potato for myself." Bill answers back to his wife.

"Mmm, that sounds good! I can't wait to be home with you two soon. Mommy loves you Hope!" Hillary says to Hope causing Hope to smile.

"Ba baa!" Hope babbles loudly.

"And I love you too, Billy. I'm going to let you two have some lunch. Please be careful with the smoke, stay indoors." Hillary says to Bill.

"We'll try our best! Make sure you call me later before you head to bed. Hope may want to do virtual story time!" Bill says sternly.

"Yes, sir! I'm about to go to a winery for dinner, and I'll try to bring a bottle home to you." Hillary says with a smile.

"Yes! And I can't wait. Talk to you soon! I love you! Hope, can you say bye to Mommy?" Bill says as he waves Hope's hand.

"Ba Baa!" Hope babbles loudly at her mama.

"Bye, princess! Bye honey!" Hillary says as the FaceTime call ends.

"Okay, princess! Do you want to watch Ms. Rachel again? Let's find a new video to watch this time!" Bill says as he scrolls YouTube while Hope watches.

"Look, Hopey! One about colors and shapes!" Bill says as Hope cheers.

Bill places Hope back in her high chair and puts the Ms. Rachel video on while he makes lunch!
