Masquerade

"Come on, hyung! It'll be so much fun! And no one will know you!"

"(Y/n), you're not going to be holed up in your room tonight. Either you're coming with, or you're going to be cleaning the whole house."

"Why do I always let you drag me to these stupid things?" Yoongi grumbled, adjusting his white mask that highly contrasted against his black hair. Then, he fluffed out his hair so you couldn't see the string. The black haired student was wearing a white v-neck that was tucked into black pants, and a shiny blue-gray jacket.

"Because you love me and I'm your only friend," Hoseok joked. He has a black mask, a black and white scarf that matched his jacket. A black v-neck was tucked into his black slacks that had rips in the knees.. All-in-all, the whole outfit made his orange hair pop even more.

"Ya! You brat!" Yoongi whacked the dancer on the back on the head. "I have more than one friend!"

"I dont believe you!" Hoseok stuck his tongue out, fixing his hair. "But fine. If you're so good at making friends, let's see who can make the most friends by the end of the party."

"Seriously? What do I get if I win?" Yoongi crossed his arms, feeling the coarse fabric of his jacket.

"Hm... let's see... how about I do your homework for two months and let you sleep in," Hoseok knew he wasn't giving up a lot, but it made Yoongi happy knowing he had the chance to practice being a rock. "But if I win, you have to come with me to every party and you have to let me teach you my new choreography."

"Ugh... fine," Yoongi reluctantly agreed. That sleep was sounding pretty good.

"May the best man win," Hoseok grinned, then disappeared in a flash.

"Where would my crowd be..." Yoongi looked around, then flicked himself in the forehead, "obviously getting drunk because no one should be this tortured."

While he pushed through the crowd, he stood on his tip-toes to see where the drinks were being held. Why the fuck was everyone so tall? He was sure he was older than most of these kids, yet he was pushed around and bossed around because he looked younger than nineteen.

"Oh- sorry!" A girl squeaked and only then did Yoongi realize he was on the ground, people close to stepping on him and the music fading to the ringing in his ears. What the fuck... I'm not even drunk. I hadn't even had a taste of alcohol, Yoongi groaned.

"(Y/n)! You need to stop tripping people, seriously! This is the fifth time and we had only gotten here fifteen minutes ago!" A deeper voice pitched in, kneeling next to Yoongi and helping him sit up. "Dude, are you okay? Sorry about my roommate. She's the clumsiest."

"I didn't even want to be here! I was busy working on my music assignment when you dragged me out of my nice, peaceful, quiet room," the girl, (Y/n), argued.

"This is so lame. Why did you even bring me out here? All there is are drunk assholes with no care in the world. This party is too loud and it sucks," you gave a pout, adjusting your (f/c) mask that matched with your (f/c) knee-high dress that had white lacing and was a slight v-neck.

"Because you need to socialize. I promise you, it'll help you finish your homework," Seokjin wore a white mask to match his white button-up shirt that had a red collar.

"Whatever. If anyone gets hurt, it's not my fault," you threatened, storming through the crowd with Seokjin following with a big sigh.

"Oh-" you were about to scream at the person, until they grabbed your waist and took the blow, falling to the ground with a barely audible thud over the music and people. "Sorry!" Yelping, you knelt down to make sure they were okay. A small groaned breathed through their heart shaped lips, one of their arms pressing against their forehead and pushing their black fringe away from their sweaty forehead. It was obviously a he, right?

"(Y/n)! You need to stop tripping people, seriously! This is the fifth time and we had only gotten here fifteen minutes ago!" Seokjin soon caught up with you after helping those other people and making sure they weren't hurt.  "Dude, are you okay? Sorry about my roommate. She's the clumsiest."

"I didn't even want to be here! I was busy working on my music assignment when you dragged me out of my nice, peaceful, quiet room," you argued, not even feeling sorry for those other people. They were fine since you only made them loose their balance a small bit.  But the man was different. He had actually fallen, and kept you steady while he fell.

"Let's bring him somewhere else. We don't want him getting stepped on," Seokjin grabbed one of his arms, wrapping it around him. The man was responding, helping you and Seokjin out. You grabbed the one of his forehead and wrapped it around your shoulder.

You two worked together, dragging him up some stairs and into an empty room. It had just then recalled to you that you were in a hotel, and the rooms were open and free tonight. Sending a silent thank you, you and Seokjin dropped him on the bed. It was actually quite the gracious fall. His black hair seemed to make a halo and his skin was practically glowing in the dim lighting.

"Thanks," he squished his eyes closed, his mask making it difficult. You noticed he was having trouble and reached up, gently adjusting the white fabric on his face until it was until he fell.

       "Thanks again," the man muttered.

"I'm so sorry... I was just so agitated with my roommate, Seokjin, that I wasn't looking," you apologized, unconsciously wiping a small amount of dirt off his cheek. It was a bother, since it was very noticeable against his milky white skin.

"S'okay. 'M actually quite mad at m'roommate too," the man sat up, rubbing the back of his head like it was going to get rid of his headache. "We made a stupid bet... aish."

"What kind of bet?" Seokjin sat next to the man.

"To see who could make the most friends by the end of the night," he groaned, putting his face into his hands. "If I win, Hoseok said he leave m'alone. Such a shit bet."

"That actually sounds like a good bet. I wish I bet the same thing to Seokjin. He such a pain in the ass," you rolled your eyes. "All I wanted was to finish my assignment."

"That's why you should do it right when you get it!" Seokjin widened his eyes and left his mouth open with a little 'o'. His 'I told you so' look.

"I did! And it'd be done by now if you didn't force me to clean and- and go to these dumb parties!" You fought back, giving him the same look.

"Well hey guys. We've been looking for you for ages!" Jimin slipped in with three others.

"Jimin!" You squealed, jumping off the bed and into the slightly younger's arms. He laughed and you hugged the others as well.

"Who's this?" The youngest of them all, Jeon Jungkook, pointed to the man, who was fixing his clothes.

"Uhh..." you drew a blank when you remembered you had never asked for his name.

"One of (Y/n)'s victims. She collided right into him," Seokjin explained with a slight snicker.

"Really? (N/n), I thought your clumsiness would get better with your dance practices," Jimin sighed.

"Dance practices?" the man's head shot up.

"Uh yeah," Jimin rubbed the back of his head.

"Do you know Jung Hoseok?" The man asked. Jimin's eyes widened and he smiled brightly, "uh-huh. He's my dance partner."

"He's my roommate," the man said in a lazy tone, "Min Yoongi. I write lyrics."

"Park Jimin. I'm a dance student."

"Kim Namjoon," the tallest of your friends finally spoke. His silver hair slightly stood out against his black mask and black outfit. Just then did you notice every guy in the room had a v-neck on.

"Why do we all have v-necks?" You frowned a small bit, looking at the ground so you weren't drawn towards their bare necks.

"Because they're attractive?" Jungkook teased. Taehyung laughed, showing off his famous boxy smile.

"Yoongi!" A voice called, well, screamed. Yoongi held his head, glaring at the door, knowing who exactly was about to barge in. "There you are- Jimin!? You're here?"

"Hey, Hoseok," Jimin grinned like an idiot.

"Isn't the whole point of wearing masks is to not be recognized?"  Yoongi muttered bitterly, grabbing his itchy mask and chucking it aside, not even caring that it hit Seokjin.

"Wow," you managed under your breath. "You have pretty eyes."

"Ha! (Y/n) has a crush!" Taehyung and Jungkook teased.

"Clench your jaw," you put a fist up, glaring at them. They did as they told, holding in their giggles.

"It's easy to know who the person is when they have bright orange hair," Jimin smiled.

"Or when they have silver hair," Hoseok ruffled the shortest's hair.

"You guys are seriously addicted to dying your hair," you grumbled.

"So is Yoongi!" Hoseok teased. "And guess what! I'm pretty sure I won the bet! I made about twelve friends."

"Oh well. Dancing doesn't seem like such a bad idea," Yoongi looked over at you, a coy smirk lifting his lips. "I'm pretty sure I can dance better than clumsy over here."

"Hey!" You clicked your tongue, "at least I'm not lazy! Can you even touch your toes without getting tired?"

"So you're just gonna dance to see (Y/n)?" Taehyung giggled again, holding his hand over his lips.

"What? Of course not," Yoongi 'tched'.

"Actually, it might help with my assignment," your mind wandered.

"Well, we lost (Y/n). I'm gonna take her back to our dorm before she destroys anything saying 'it's for art'," Seokjin gave a window-cleaning laugh and got up, grabbing you by the shoulders and steering you out of the hotel.

"Are you glad I brought you to this 'dumb party'?" Hoseok teased Yoongi, who was watching your figure disappear down the hall.

"Whatever. Don't get cocky or you're doing laundry for a month," Yoongi slapped his hand on Hoseok's mouth, only pulling away with a disgusted face when Hoseok licked his palm.
