Logan Mitchell x Reader - Stargazing

You were so excited; tonight was your one month anniversary with Logan Mitchell, your new neighbor at the Palm Woods and a member of one of the newest and hottest bands, Big Time Rush.

Logan was a shy, intelligent bookworm, much like you. In fact, when you went over to his apartment to welcome the new band to the city with homemade cookies, you found him sitting on the couch with his nose buried in a book. It had been almost impossible to rouse him from his thoughts, even with the smell of chocolate chip cookies wafting through the air, but as soon as he lifted his eyes to meet yours, his mouth dropped open. From then on, the rest was history.

You loved every moment you spent with Logan, though there hadn't been many in the past month. Despite the new relationship blossoming between the two of you, Logan had been preoccupied with work in the studio. He constantly apologized for his busy schedule, blaming his harsh producer, Gustavo, for putting them on such a tight time table. You frequently listened to Logan complain about how better time management would improve everything for both the group and your relationship. You always laughed when he went on a rant; it was so cute to listen to him rant and pout about how much he missed you.

But you missed him as well. It was hard knowing that as Logan traveled to perform, or even entered or left the studio, he could be surrounded by gorgeous fangirls. You tried to resist being jealous, but you couldn't help but worry as you imagined your new boyfriend being whisked away in the arms of a much prettier woman. You didn't think about it often as Logan had a way of putting your restless mind at ease, but you thought about it nonetheless.

It didn't help that even after a month of dating, the two of you had never done anything more intimate than hug. Ever since you had told your friends and family about Logan, they had pestered you about getting your first kiss. While you were great at ignoring peer pressure, you couldn't ignore the part of yourself that desperately wanted to know what Logan's lips would feel like against your own.

Tonight, though, Logan promised you a good time. He had something big planned, but he wouldn't tell you what. The surprise had you watching the clock as the day dragged on slowly, your mind now conjuring up possible date ideas as you waited, all of them ending with you finally getting your first kiss.

Finally, the clock struck seven. As soon as you saw the numbers change on your digital clock, you heard a firm knock on your front door. You giggled to yourself as you walked up to the door; Logan was always on time. Part of you wondered if he had been standing out there for a few minutes, waiting for exactly the right time to announce his presence.

You swung the door open, only to come face to face with Logan in his signature dark jeans and t-shirt, coupled with his red leather jacket. As soon as he could see you, Logan's eyes roamed over your body, making you self-conscious as they widened to the size of saucers and his jaw slacked.

"W-what?" you asked nervously as you wrapped your arms around your stomach, "Is something wrong with my outfit?"

You looked down to assess your outfit: you were wearing a white sweater dress with brown ankle boots and a red flannel scarf for color. Your (H/L) (H/C) hair framed your face, which was all-natural except for the sparkly lip goss you applied only seconds before.

You hadn't known how to dress since Logan didn't want to tell you where you were going. You thought that, with it being early fall, that a cute sweater dress would work for any occasion; it was something you could dress up or down. But now, as Logan stared at you, you were sure you had made the wrong decision.

"No, no, no," Logan reassured you, his eyes flickering to yours so you could see his sincerity as he offered a sheepish smile, "It's just...You're so beautiful, and I guess it distracted me."

You felt your face warm as your cheeks reddened, a wide smile forming as you looked down at the ground. "Thanks."

"So, are you ready for the date of a lifetime, m'lady?" Logan asked, his smile widening as he offered his arm out to you.

"One second," you smiled as you walked over to where your tan leather purse was sitting on the counter. You grabbed it, checking its contents quickly before walking over to Logan and taking his arm in your hands.

    "Now I am."
------------------------------------------------

You smiled as Logan led you away from his car, his hands covering your eyes so that you couldn't see his surprise. You giggled as you stumbled along the way, reaching out for him whenever you thought you would lose your balance. Logan laughed along with you, keeping one arm on your back to stabilize you.

"Where are we going?" you asked as you listened to the sounds of bugs buzzing and birds chirping around you. You could hear the sound of twigs snapping and grass swishing as you walked, and your imagination spiraled.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?" Logan asked, and you could hear the smirk that tugged at his lips.

"I guess not," you sighed, a fake pout forming on your face, "How much longer?"

"Almost there," Logan responded before he grabbed your shoulders to stop you, "Alright...Open."

As soon as Logan's hands retracted, your eyes flew open, an audible gasp escaping your lips.

In the middle of a small clearing, Logan had set up a picture-perfect picnic. A red flannel blanket laid on the ground, a brown wicker basket sitting on top of it. On either side of the basket sat empty wine glasses, and sticking out from the basket, you could see the top half of a bottle of sparkling grape juice. Finally, to light up your night, Logan placed an assortment of candles in the shape of a heart around the blanket.

"Oh my gosh," you breathed, your eyes wide before you turned to face your boyfriend, "This is amazing! How did you do this?"

"A great magician never reveals his secrets," Logan smirked as he watched you, his heart swelling as he saw how happy his gesture made you.

"No, seriously, this is absolutely perfect," you enthused as you wrapped your arms around him, "Thank you."

"You haven't even seen the best part,"  Logan chirped as he grabbed your hand, gently pulling you to the picnic blanket. Your head swam as you tried to take everything in; there was no way it could get any better than this.

You sat next to Logan, watching as he opened the basket and grabbed the bottle of sparkling grape juice. You giggled as he jumped when he popped the cork, not expecting the loud sound. The sound of your laughter made him blush, only causing you to laugh harder.

"Leave me alone," Logan whined as he filled both glasses with a generous amount of the juice, making you throw your head back and laugh for real. He pouted as he resealed the bottle, and you tried your best to stifle your laughter.

"I'm s-sorry," you stuttered through faint giggles, "I just can't help myself. You're just s-so cute."

"Am not," Logan pouted as he crossed his arms, reenergizing your giggles again.

"Whatever you say," you smirked at him before pushing his shoulder lightly.

"Fine, I just won't show you the rest of the surprise," Logan shrugged before turning to face the opposite direction.

"What?! No!" you groaned; it was your turn to pout, "Please, I'm sorry, baby! Please show me the surprise."

It didn't take much for Logan's tough demeanor to falter as a confident smile tugged on his lips. "Well, okay, but only since you asked so nicely."

You took a breath to compose yourself as Logan reached back into the picnic basket, only to pull out a medium-sized Tupperware container. You cocked an eyebrow at him as he opened it, questioning what he could have possibly brought.

With the lid gone, you could see the delicious dessert waiting for you; chocolate-covered strawberries.

"No way," you gasped, "You didn't."

"But I did," Logan chirped as he grabbed one, "Open."

You giggled as you did as he said, letting him feed you the treat. You groaned in delight almost immediately; the strawberries were fresher and sweeter than any you had ever tasted before.

"Oh my gosh, Logan, these are amazing!" you praised.

"Only the best for my girl," he smiled. Butterflies erupted in your stomach at the pet name.

You took turn feeding each other the strawberries, enjoying light, flirtatious conversation as you did so. But, with all of the strawberries eaten and the grape juice bottle half empty, you began to clean up, figuring the night was over. You sighed softly to yourself, wishing the night would never end.

"What's wrong?" Logan asked, worry dripping from his voice as he noticed your mood change.

"Nothing's wrong. This night has been perfect," you smiled softly, "I'm just sad that it's over."

"It doesn't have to be," Logan wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"What do you mean?" you asked as you stared at him with curiosity.

"Follow me," Logan instructed as he grabbed the picnic basket, leading you back to his car.

"Where are we going now?" you asked, figuring that he had another stop to make.

"Nowhere," Logan replied, "I just have to get something."

His words only confused you more, but you followed him as he walked to his trunk. When you got there, he put the basket in the back, and you watched as he reached for another blanket and two pillows.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Logan asked as he turned to see your reaction.

"I sure hope so," you smiled as you reached out to grab a pillow from him.

"Come on, then. Let's go," he smiled as he grabbed the blanket and his pillow.

You giggled as the two of you practically ran back to your spot from before. You threw your pillow down before lying on top of it, waiting for Logan to join you.

As Logan got comfy, he threw part of the blanket over you, which you greeted happily. It had started getting chilly as the night went on, and your sweater dress was no longer cutting it.

You both sighed contentedly as your eyes finally looked up, taking in the sky above you.

"Wow," you breathed, "You can see every star from right here."

Logan just chuckled as he shook his head. "Not every star, but you're close."

You just rolled your eyes playfully. "You know what I mean. But I wonder if you can see the Big Dipper from here."

"Well, if you can see every star from here," Logan teased as he looked at you, "then you can definitely see the Big Dipper."

"I've never been able to find it before," you confessed as your eyes scanned the sky, "Even when someone shows me, I've never seen it."

"Really?" Logan asked as he returned his attention to you.

"Yeah..." you trailed off sheepishly as you meekly returned his gaze.

"Well let me fix that," Logan smiled, "Do you see those two bright stars that make a straight line right above us?"

"...No..." you sighed, frustrated yet again with yourself.

"Hmm..." Logan trailed off in thought, smiling when he got an idea, "Come here."

Logan opened his arms, inviting you to cuddle. You crinkled your nose as you moved, confused as to how this would help. Logan settled you so that your head was lying on his chest, your stomach turning because of your close proximity as he wrapped his arm around you. Logan, however, seemed unphased as he tried to explain the stars.

"Now, I'm not complaining or anything," you began with a sly smile on your lips, "but how is this going to help?"

"Look straight up," he instructed, returning the same smile, "Do you see them now?"

You sighed as you attempted yet again to find these stars. You had already resigned yourself to yet another failure when you did, in fact, find two stars in a straight line.

"Oh my gosh, is that them right there?" you asked, unable to keep the awe out of your voice as you pointed to the sky.

"Yeah, that's them," Logan chuckled, "That's Dubhe and Merak, and they make the front end of the Big Dipper. If you look at the stars around them, you'll find the entirety of the constellation."

"I can see it! I can actually see it!" you squealed like an excited puppy.

"Are you ready to find the Little Dipper?" Logan asked as he looked down at you.

"What?" you gaped, your eyes flickering to meet his in an instant, "Two miracles in one night? Are you sure you can pull it off?"

Logan shook his head at your teasing. "I'm sure I can manage."

"Okay then, impress me," you challenged as you gazed up at the sky again.

"Alright, you remember the two stars we found before?" Logan asked as he looked up at the sky too.

"Yes, it was only two minutes ago," you joked, "My memory isn't that bad yet."

"You know what I mean," Logan rolled his eyes, "If you look diagonally from the very bottom star, you will find the North Star. See it yet?"

You followed his finger that drew out the path. You scanned frantically for the star, your excitement increasing when your eyes landed on an incredibly bright one.

"The North Star is extremely bright, right?" you asked, barely able to contain your excitement.

"Yep," Logan nodded as his stomach exploded with butterflies as he felt you subconsciously squeeze his arm tighter, "That's the top of the ladle. If you follow it down, you'll find the other two stars that make the scoop."

You followed his directions immediately, your mouth falling open slightly as you saw both constellations in the sky at the same time. You were amazed, your expression never faltering as you enjoyed such a breathtaking sight. However, Logan was distracted by other things, his eyes trained on you the entire time.

"Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?" you mused, almost forgetting about the boy next to you.

"Yes," he breathed, his airy tone pulling you from your reverie. You turned your head to face him, only to find his eyes already pouring into your soul.

"What was it?" you asked, your tone just as breathless as his as your eyes flickered to his kissable lips.

"You," he confessed, his cheeks reddening at his confession as his heart raced in his chest.

You could feel your heart race as well as you noticed how close you were to each other, your lips within kissing distance. You slowly leaned closer as your eyes fluttered closed, hoping he had the same thought as you.

You felt his weight shift as he leaned closer to you as well before suddenly, you felt him stop, making you wrench your eyes open in surprise.

"Wait, where do you want me to put my hands? I want this to be enjoyable for you too, and I know that girls all have different preferences-" Logan rambled as he looked down at the blanket.

You giggled as you placed a finger on his lips, silencing his worries. "Just kiss me, Logan."

That was all he needed to hear. With his inhibitions gone, your lips connected with Logan taking the lead, the two of you moving smoothly. You moved together as if it were a dance the two of you had done a thousand times. His lips were softer than you could have ever imagined, and you could taste the remnants of grape juice from earlier.

As nervous as Logan had been, he was an amazing kisser. With one arm circled around your back and the other burying itself in your hair, he deepened the kiss as electricity ran through your body.

Logan soon pulled away, allowing you both to catch your breath. You hadn't realized how out of breath you were, too distracted by the new sensations.

"Wow," you panted, "I can't imagine a more perfect first kiss."

You realized what you had admitted when Logan's eyes widened. "Wait, that was your first kiss?"

You nodded sheepishly. "Y-yeah, I mean, you're my first real boyfriend."

"Oh my gosh, why didn't you tell me? I could've made it so much more special-"

"Logan," you cut him off, placing a hand firmly on his chest, trying not to get distracted by the muscle you felt, "There is no way it could get any better than that."

"Is that a challenge?" he asked as he propped himself up on one of his arms.

"Maybe it is," you smirked, raising yourself to meet him.

Logan smirked impishly as he leaned back down, connecting your lips yet again.

You weren't sure how long you both laid there, but you did know that you couldn't wait to do it again.
