One of Dani's favorite perks of working at Rocque Records is all of the celebrities that she had the opportunity to meet during her time there. Some of those celebrities, Dani would consider good friends; for example, singer Jordin Sparks.

Dani and Jordin became friends the last time Jordin was recording at Rocque Records, and Dani helped inspire her to write a new song and taught her ways of creating music, and they instantly clicked.

The elevator dinged as the door opened, causing Dani to quickly make her way out of the elevator, only to come face-to-chest with someone as she took a step forward, bumping into someone, causing her to quickly take a step back.

"Sorry about that; I probably shouldn't have stood directly in front of the doors." The person apologized, causing Dani to quickly look up, coming face-to-face with not one but five familiar faces.

"Dani!" Mads squealed, pushing past her brothers as she embraced the younger girl tightly. "I missed you like crazy."

"I missed you too, Mads," Dani said, giggling at the girl as she backed away from the shorter giri, causing her to look around at all five of them, stopping and staring at the one she bumped into as he stood in the middle, Mac, before quickly looking around at all of them again. "I missed all of you."

"How have you been, kid?" Maverick, the oldest of the siblings, asked, smiling down at her as he ruffled her hair.

"I've been good, busy with work, but it's been great. I love working at Rocque Records."

"That's great to hear, Dani." Myles said.

"So how was the tour? Did you make it to Tokyo?" Dani asked.

"Tour was incredible!" Maison, the youngest of the group, replied, causing Dani to chuckle at the young boy.

"It was out of this world!" Mads exclaimed. "Tokyo was better than I imagined; it was so beautiful!"

"I'm so glad you guys loved it. Well, I got to run, but it was great seeing you guys."

"We should hang out before we're off again!" Mads suggested, causing Dani to nod before realization hit.

"Off again? You're going back on tour; didn't you just end one?"

"It won't be for a couple weeks; our manager thinks it would be a good idea since our fans and views have been shooting up like crazy since our last tour," Mac finally spoke, causing Dani to nod in understanding. "But we want to head home and visit the family for a while."

"Well, that's great! I should be going though." Dani smiled lightly, going to walk around the group, but was stopped as she felt someone grab ahold of her arm, causing her to turn around.

"Could we maybe meet up later?" Mac asked, looking down at the girl. "You know, so we can talk?"

"Um, I don't know; I'm pretty busy, maybe." Dani replied, sending him a small smile, before turning around and making her way towards Jordin, only to find her talking with the guys. "Oh, no."

Dani quickly made her way to the group, stepping between the dogs and Jordin.

"Jordin!" Dani exclaimed, embracing the girl in a hug.

"Dani! I was wondering when I was going to see you!" Jordin smiled, pulling the girl into a hug.

"You know Dani!?"

"Of course! She actually helped me finish one of my songs when I was recording at Rocque Records." Jordin answered. "Which went gold, by the way!"

"Gold!?"

"I barely helped; I gave some minor suggestions, and she did everything else." Dani shrugged.

"We just wanted to say welcome to the Palm Woods." Kendall said, opening his arms.

"We're Big Time Rush." Carlos introduced.

"We're recording at Rocque Records." James added.

"What are you doing here?" Logan asked.

"Recording, at Rocque Records." Jordin answered, causing the guys to start coughing, making Jordin give them a worried look as Dani rolled her eyes.

"Hey, Jordin, why don't you go put your bags in your room? I'll wait here for you." Dani suggested before motioning towards the boys. "I need to talk to Big Time Rush."

"Yeah, okay!" Jordin agreed, making her way towards the elevators. The boys watched her with grins as Jordin got onto the elevator, causing Dani to snap her head to the boys, giving them a death glare, causing them to scream as they jumped back.

"What are you idiots up to now?"

"What are you talking about?" Kendall nervously laughed, causing Dani to give him another glare, causing him to shrink back.

"Fine, we just wanted to meet a totally cool and hot celebrity, and we've been here for six months and we haven't met a single one!" James exclaimed, throwing his hands up, causing Dani to roll her eyes.

"Well, technically, we did meet Nicole Scherzinger." Logan pointed, causing the boys to nod as they turned as if they were about to have a daydream.

"Hey, no daydreaming!" Dani snapped, clapping her hands loudly, causing the group to jump. "But what you can do is stay away from Jordin while she is here recording because she doesn't need you four idiots giving her bad luck!"

"We don't have bad luck." Kendall said, causing the other three to agree as Dani gave them a serious look.

Dani thought that the song sounded beautiful, but she could tell that there was something missing.

As Jordin finished and the music faded, Dani quickly jumped up from her seat, startled by the sudden cheering, causing her heart to beat extremely fast. Dani placed her head down as she waited for her heartbeat to slow down as she listened to the guys and Jordin talk through the speaker.

"Jordin, Jordin." Gustavo called, cutting the dogs off and standing from his seat beside Dani, making her lift her head up. "Don't worry about the song, okay? Just take a little more time with it, and give me some time to fill in the chorus and add some layers. This song is going to be a big hit. It's going to be great."

"You're doing amazing, Jordin." Dani reassured the girl, causing Jordin to send the girl a smile of appreciation before Dani turned around to face the boys with Gustavo.

"Dogs, I have a big present for you in my office." Gustavo cheerfully said, causing them to scream as they raced out of the recording studio as Gustavo and Dani followed behind.

As Dani makes her way into the office, closing the door behind her, turning around, she notices Freight Train squeezing the boys.

"Freight Train's squeezing us."

"This is our big present!?"

"Yes, because I want you nowhere near Jordin Sparks." Gustavo ordered, causing Freight Train to release the boys, making them let out a gasp of air.

"What? Why?" Carlos quickly asked.

"Because you're bad luck and destroy everything you touch." Gustavo said, with a duh face, causing Dani to smirk.

"Told ya!"

"What? That is so not true." Logan said, placing his hand on Gustavo's desk, causing it to break, sending everything to the ground. "Sorry."

"Jordin and her team picked me to produce her new song over every producer in this town, 'cause word on the street is, Gustavo Rocque is back." Gustavo exclaimed. "Now, Jordin is staying at the Palm Woods, which means if she is by the pool, I want Bad Luck Rush to be in the lobby! I have assigned Dani to make sure you dogs stay far away from Jordin!"

"Ugh," Jordin groaned, frustrated, placing her book on the table as she pulled out one of her earbuds. "Why is it so hard to finish this song?"

"Great songs take time and patience," Dani said, sending the girl a smile. "You of all people should know that. I mean, remember the last song you wrote here? It took you over three hours just to find the last line."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Maybe you can take a look at it for me and tell me what's missing."

"Yeah, sure," Dani agreed.

"Great, here's a copy of the lyrics, and I already sent you the track." Jordin explained, handing over a lyric sheet before she collected her things as she stood up, and Dani did the same, both making their way towards the lobby.

"I don't think the lyrics are bad; it's..." Dani spoke, walking and looking at the paper, not paying attention to her surroundings, causing the blonde to slip on a banana pill.

As she closed her eyes, waiting for impact, it never came, causing her to slowly open her eyes to find Kendall holding her up, causing her to send the boy a smile. "Thanks."

"It was a lucky catch."

"Yeah, don't push your luck." Dani said, causing them both to chuckle, but stopped as they heard someone else's voice.

"Uh, Kendall." Jo called, gaining the two's attention. Dani bent back to see Jo.

"Jo." Kendall smiled, causing Dani and Kendall to quickly look at each other before looking back at Jo. "This isn't what it looks like."

"Really? Cause it looks like you're embracing Dani."

"It does look that way, doesn't it?" Dani asked, causing the girl to quickly stand up as Taylor girl stormed away.

"Jo!" Dani and Kendall called out as the girl continued walking away.

Dani was sitting in the empty lobby of the Palm Woods as she looked over the sheet music that Jordin gave her as she hummed to it, pulling out her phone to listen to the track.

"Layering, of course." Dani mumbled to herself, quickly jotting down the idea as she looked over the lyrics again. "I wonder how this would sound with harmonies."

Dani quickly scanned the area, hoping to find Jordin or someone with a voice nearby, but she didn't see anyone. Looking out the window, she saw Kendall sitting at a table by himself near the pool.

She quickly stood up, making her way out of the lobby and directly towards the boy, sliding into the seat beside him.

"Hey, I need your help with something," Dani said, sitting the paper on the table before pushing it towards the boy. "Jordin wanted me to look at her song for her, and well, I need a second voice."

"Yeah, why not."

"Great!" Dani smiled, happily, pointing to where she was starting. "I just need you to sing from here to there while I try something."

"You got it."

"Oh.." Jo spoke, stepping in front of the table, gaining the duo's attention. "So now you're having a girly, romantic lunch with Dani."

Dani finally looked away from the music sheet, glancing down at the table to reveal that it was all decorated and set up as if it were for a date.

"No, no. It's not what it looks like." Kendall tried to explain, but Jo didn't want to listen, sending the boy a glare before she walked away, causing Dani to swat at his arm. "Ow, what was that for?"

"You should have told me to go away!" Dani exclaimed, gesturing towards the decorated table.

Dani decided to go looking for Jordin, with her last stop being Palm Woods Park.

She searched around and couldn't find the pop star anywhere, stopping at the well about to give up when she was approached by Mac.

"Hey, is now a good time to talk?" Mac asked, stopping in front of the girl, causing her to look up at him. "I promise it will be quick."

"Yeah, sure." Dani said, looking around the park one last time, still not seeing Jordin anywhere, before turning back towards Mac. "What's up?"

"Um, how are you?" Mac asked. "I mean, it's been nearly a year since we talked."

"Yeah, well, you kind of disappeared for tour without any explanation." Dani snapped, looking up at the boy with hurt in her eyes.

"I definitely deserve that. Look, Dani, leaving you was the hardest thing I had to do."

"You could have told me, Mac. I knew how much going on tour meant to you and the band. Ever since we were kids, all you guys ever talked about was becoming a successful band, going on tour, and selling out shows. I have been there for you since the beginning, and I've always supported your dreams, but you shut me out, Mac, and that hurt." Dani confessed. "I just don't understand why."

"I wanted you to be free." Mac answered, causing the girl to raise her eyebrow. "I knew that we were going to be gone for over a year, and I didn't want you sitting here worried about me. I wanted you to focus on your dreams and your career."

"That was my decision to make! I was so in love with you that I would have done anything to be with you, but you didn't give me the chance. You just dumped me and left me here without any explanations. It was supposed to be us against the world, but you cut me out."

"That's why I came back because I want to still do that!" Mac explained, looking down at the girl. "Dani, we want you to come on tour with us and be our opening act."

"Wait, what?"

"What!" Four voices exclaimed from inside the well, causing Dani to quickly look down to see the guys along with Jordin.

"Guys! Why are you in a well?!" Dani shouted, looking down at them. "With Jordin?!"

"No time to explain; can you get us out of here?" Kendall asked, causing the other four to quickly nod.

"There's only one person that I know that can get four idiots and a pop star out of a well," Dani chuckled, quickly pulling out her phone and dialing the number. "Hey Freight Train, I need your help."

Not even ten minutes later, Freight Train had pulled all five of them out with a rope, causing them all to go crashing to the ground.

"AHA!" Mr. Bitters exclaimed, popping out of nowhere with a camera and a huge grin. "Jordin Sparks pulled out of a well tied to four losers. I'll be rich."

"Freight Train." Dani called, causing the giant man to snatch the camera from Bitter's hands, ripping it apart with his bare hands before throwing the pieces to the ground.

"Hey!"

"Hey, guys. Gustavo isn't happy." Freight Train explained. "He knows about the well, and he has a skunk in his studio that he can't get rid of."

"Gustavo can't get rid of a skunk."

"I'm assuming that you all can." Dani said, causing the boys to shrug. "Of course you can."

They all quickly got off the ground and were going to make a run for the studio, but Dani stopped when she felt someone grab her wrist.

"Hey, you never answered me," Mac said, looking down at the girl.

"I'll have to think about it." Dani replied, glancing over her shoulder at the others as the guys watched the duo cautiously. "I have the band to think of and my job; they're my top priorities."

Before he had the chance to say anything else, Dani quickly pulled herself away from him as she made her way back to the group.

After Carlos baited the skunk with food, Kendall dropped a box over it, James quickly slid a board under it, and Logan quickly tapped it shut.

Gustavo was then handed a now-trapped skunk in a box by the guys, as Gustavo and Kelly looked shocked.

"How did you do that?" Gustavo exclaimed.

"We used to catch stuff all the time in Minnesota," Kendall explained.

"Yeah, what did you use as bait, a lady skunk puppet?" Carlos asked, causing the four boys to laugh.

"What? No," Gustavo and Kelly denied, fake laughing, causing Dani to chuckle.

"They definitely did."

Gustavo quickly gathered everyone into the studio as he began pacing in front of the boys as Dani stood beside Jordin.

"In light of recent skunky events, I have decided not to kill you." Gustavo announced, causing all of the boys to let out a sigh of relief. "However, you blatantly disregarded my orders to stay away from Jordin Sparks and proved once again that you are Bad Luck Rush!"

"Gustavo!" Jordin shouted, causing the man to quickly turn his head. "They're not bad luck. They're good luck."

"Um, they knocked you down a well." Kelly pointed out, causing Dani to nod.

"Yeah, but if I hadn't fallen down the well, I would have never figured out the song." Jordin explained, turning towards the girl on her left. "Even though the suggestions came from Dani."

That caused the girl to snap her head in Jordin's direction before looking over at the boys, causing a smile to grow on the girl's face.

"They helped you figure out the song." Gustavo asked, gesturing towards the boys behind him. "Them?"

"Yeah, it's not a solo."

"It's a duet," Dani finished, causing the duo to share a smile before looking back at Gustavo.

"Duet? Duet with Big Time Rush?" Gustavo asked, causing the two girls to nod with smiles. "That's the greatest idea I've ever had. Jennings', you're a genius."

"Did he actually just say that?" Dani asked, looking over at Kelly with a shocked face.

"Just go with it," Kelly said, causing her to just nod with a grin.
